Wow, it's been almost a year since I uploaded the last chapter. Who knew it'll take this long? I tried to write this chapter multiple times, but the last time I watched DP was probably 3 years ago. I've had this part sitting around in my PC for months before I finally gave up and decided to post it as it is. No worries though, I'll try to see this story to the end, even if it takes me 20 years... (Hopefully it doesn't)

...

"Nobody told me there'll be DINOSAURS."

Have you ever seen one of those movies with the lion head roaring through a small porthole? Well, that was exactly what was happening with the dinosaur head. The moment the front door was opened, a gigantic tyrannosaurus rex opened its jaw, incisors the size of Danny's head. A deep screeching sound emitted from its gaping maw, reverberating down their bones and nearly popping our protagonist's eardrums. The T-rex was an anthropologically accurate specimen in its prime, standing at an impressive 6 meters tall and 15 meters long.

The very foundations of the door shook and the two half ghosts barely had time to cover their ears before all went dark as Danny was swept off his feet by its mouth. The dinosaur clumsily smashed its head through the door, knocking it partially off its hinges and shaking the ground with its gigantic steps. Saliva rained over him and Danny had a vague feeling of being in an extreme water park ride on the way to being chomped down by Barney the purple dinosaur's less amicable relative. He was swung about as the dinosaur shook its head, its teeth all but ready to close down and snap his little body in half like a potato chip. Before that could happen, Danny felt his right foot land on its moist tongue, and he lashed out as hard as he could. "You're going to need a dentist after this!"

As it roared in pain from its abused tongue, temporarily opening its jaw, the halfa quickly removed himself from its open mouth. Vlad shot a powerful ectobeam at it, somehow having enough power to topple the dinosaur backwards into a gigantic blue portal with a massive screech.

Before Danny could fly away however, he somehow managed to get his shirt caught in the t-rex's useless flailing arms and he was pulled backwards with it, disappearing into the portal. There was a purple flash and sparks emitted from the portal.

"Danny!" Vlad dove in after him.

As he came out from the other side, he felt like he'd just stepped into a whole different scene entirely. An entire forest spanned out in front of him, green and rolling. He was standing near a cliff. Immediately, he spotted Danny to the side in some bushes, the unconscious dinosaur lying in a heaping mound to the side, a huge scorch mark on the side of its jaw courtesy of Vlad.

"Did… did we just land in the prehistoric era?"

A pterodactyl whooshed past them, to confirm his statement.

"So this is what a t-rex's arms are for. I've always thought they were for balance, turns out they're for pulling unsuspecting ghosts into the Jurassic age." Danny grumbled, rubbing a bruise on his head and turning intangible to remove the coating of saliva and grass clinging to him.

Vlad wondered if he should take a sample of the dinosaur. He knew certain companies that would pay a large sum of money for some t-rex DNA. "We have to get out of here. This window does not seem particularly stable."

At that very moment, the blue portal swirled and turned from a calm blue into a jarring, angry purple. Sparks flew out from it and it started coughing out bits of paraphernalia. A button, some pieces of torn paper, and a slice of cheese. And then like a cell, it divided itself into two smaller portals before calming down and turning back to blue. They stared at it in horror.

"Which one should we take?"

"I… I have no idea." Danny picked up the button. It had some funny insignia in it and foreign writing.

Vlad frowned. He walked up to the one on the right, and stuck his head partially through it. A small, salty breeze ruffled his hair. All he saw was a vast expanse of sea as far as the eye could go. He looked back at Danny.

"I'm not so sure about this one. It just leads out into the ocean…"

"It's definitely this one then!" Danny walked towards the remaining one on the left confidently.

"I'm not so sure if that's wise, Daniel…"

"Stop worrying!" He disappeared right into the portal.
Danny flew back through as if he had just been burnt. "DO NOT go through to this one!"

Vlad rolled his eyes in an I-told-you-so fashion. He glanced through the portal. A very angry looking man in military uniform was yelling obscenities in German. He pointed his gun straight at Danny through the portal, and was seconds away from firing before the portal suddenly spilt apart into two again. Purple sparks flew. There was a bang and a strange buzzing sound. The portal with the man disappeared from view. A strange piece of metal hit Danny in the arm and bounced off onto the grass. "Ow."

Vlad picked it up. It was half of a bullet, sliced clean through as it was going through the air. His eyes widened. "The portal... it divided at the exact moment this bullet was passing through."

"I guess we can't go through the portal just as it's dividing, or only half of us will make it through."

They paused to stare at the three portals floating next to them. There was now one medium sized portal and two small portals the size of a window. The two smaller portals didn't appear very stable. There didn't appear to be much choice.

They set foot into the portal leading to the sea. The smell of salt and wind came over them as they floated out to a vast expanse of water. They floated around aimlessly.

"Now what?"

They spotted a boat passing by. Seeing as there was nothing next to them, they immediately flew towards the ship.

The probably should have taken notice of the flag it was flying first.
