A/N: Returned to my old FFN account and unearthed this gem. I'm sorry I stopped it, I just got caught up in a lot of stuff. I doubt I'll update again for awhile but I thought I'd go ahead and shoot for Day 10: with animal ears. Thanks for all the support, love y'all.

Fionna reclined on the blue sofa, her feet propped against the coffee table and her hands fiddling with a figurine her and Cake discovered from an adventure a while back. Cake fiddled in the kitchen, preparing a concoction that appeared as what could only be described as gunk. B-MO teetered about on the floor, making popping sounds with his mouth and stomping his feet on the ground in what seemed to be an act of crushing his enemies heads.

Yes, everything was inadvertently normal, or calm, within the humble abode.

That is until a certain axe bass wielding, punk-rock maniac came crashing into the window.

"Fiona, Fiona!" he cried, gliding to her side and grabbing her hands.

Fiona jumped at the sound of glass shattering, her hands instinctively reached for her sword. A blush crossed her face when she realized it was Marshall Lee, and it deepened when he took her hands. "Wha-What" she stammered, glancing at the broken glass on the floor and Cake's disapproving sneer.

"Get this, I know how we can deepen our relationship!" Marshall Lee expressed excitedly, his body bobbing up and down in the air.

Cake sped to the two, wielding a burning pan in her palm. She pointed it at him, narrowing her eyes. "Don't you dare touch my baby" she hissed, "She's too young for that business. Head out now. Shoo"

Marshall Lee widened his eyes, gliding back from the pan. "Wha-?" he muttered, then, realizing how that sentence could have been portrayed, blushed furiously. "N-No! Not that you stupid cat" he barked, covering his face with his arm to conceal the blush.

Cake nodded her head, "I'll get you one day" she articulated, keeping the pan pointed to the vampire as she backed away.

Fiona turned to him, grinning. "Okay, okay. What is it Marshall?" she said, putting a hand on his arm and lowering it from his reddened face.

Marshall Lee paused a moment, staring at her, before coming to his senses. "Oh, yeah! So I was talking to my friend, and he said that we need to have a common ground" he said.

Fiona nodded, "Marshall, we already have common ground. We both go on adventures. We both-" she hesitated, swallowing nervously "-like each other"

Marshall Lee blushed, nearly as red as she was. "Y-Yeah" he said, turning her palm over in his hand and drawing patters with his fingers. He then lifted his head. "But he then said that we should both have animal hats. A visual common ground!" he smiled.

Fiona grinned, "Animal hats? Well, I've already got one. So what are you getting?" she asked, raising a hand to her rabbit ears and pulling one down to her face.

Marshall flew back, smirking. "Ah, I'll show you what I got" he said, darting out the window once more.

Fiona shook her head, laughing at his idiocy. Cake could hardly suppress her laughter, either.

Suddenly, Marshall poked his head in. Rabbit ears wiggled on top of his head with every move. He flew over, a slight bounce in his step. "We'll be matching!" he beamed.

Fiona fell to her knees, crippled with laughter. "Oh...my...god" she cried. Even Cake snickered in the background. "It's cute" she finally choke out.

Marshall pursed his lips, "You don't like it, do you?" he mumbled, crossing his arms.

Fiona stood up, still laughing, and removed the hat. "Marshall, this won't 'strengthen' our relationship" she chuckled, giving him a hug.

Marshall frowned and returned the hug, "Then what will?" he asked.

Cake pointed the frying pan at him, raising a brow, and mouthed "Try me, boy"

Fiona smiled, "I think our relationship is just fine now"

Fiona stood up
