"Princess, are you sure you will be alright?"

Luna looked towards her sister's student, Twilight Sparkle. She gave the small purple pony a reassuring smile even though she felt a small twinge of fear gripping at her. The first part of her plan that she had written to Twilight was that she must be present with Luna. If anything was to happen to her while she used her power then Twilight was to pull her back. "I still don't understand Princess Luna, if this 'E' wants to take out their anger on her then shouldn't we stop them", Twilight questioned the blue alicorn. "Everypony in this world has a reasoning for their actions Twilight, there is not one being in this world that doesn't do something because of actions caused by another", Luna says as she concentrated on creating a magical door. "I don't know… Princess Celestia is the nicest and most caring of all ponies. I just can't see her doing anything wrong", Twilight looked down at the ground, unsure as of what to think. "We will find out then,a dream can either hold a memory or create a random event that is nonexistent. If I am correct then E will be reliving the same event she has experienced that gave her such strong emotions against my sister. It will no doubt be twisted from years of being alone, which is why I must ask you to keep a strong hold on the rope", Twilight gave a nod before grabbing the rope with her teeth. Luna gave as she finished her spell, keeping in mind of whose dream she wished to enter.

Normally the door would look just like a wooden door covered in vines or like a gate. When she finished the spell the door had shifted, twisting and growing in form and shape. Instead of vines, barbed branches scratched at it as if trying to reach what was beyond the hinges. It creaked as the wood splintered, the hinges moaning as if in pain. Parts of the door seemed burnt while other parts gave off a glow of ember, but never igniting into a full flame. "Princess", Luna turned to Twilight before at the door once more, the sounds of screams echoed from beyond the entrance. "Remember Twilight, you must be prepared to pull me back", with that said Luna opened the door, the hinges crying out in pain as she did so. With determination she entered the unknown.

Fire, there was fire everywhere...

Before her was a town completely engulfed in flames, many beings of an unknown species ran about her on two legs. Each screaming in pain as shadows attacked them relentlessly. She nearly jumped as one shadow landed on a corpse, stabbing it to ensure it was dead. Her eyes shot wide when she got a good look at it. She couldn't believe what was seemingly looking back at her.

It was and alicorn... all of the shadows were alicorns.

A piercing scream filtered through the air, catching the alicorn's attention. There stood a house, untouched by the flames and yet the windows glowed as if enraged by everything before it. She went to the house and peered inside. It held nothing, but the expanse of darkness. in the distance was what appeared to be three bodies being shined upon by a spotlight. Luna slowly walked in, the deafening screams dissipating as she did so. Now all she could hear was sobbing and mumbling.

"Mommy...Daddy...please get up..."

As Luna made her slow approach she couldn't help but notice that the ground was covered in a thin, viscous liquid. The air also held a strange odor to it, like copper. Then there was, what appeared, to be the child. The more she listened to the child's cries the more she realized that they had a mixture of voices, one being like that of an adult while the other was like that of a child.

"Why?"

When she was close enough Luna gasped at the scene that had laid before her. The two adults lay upon the ground, dead with holes in both their chests. Their eyes rolled back as smoke floated out from their mouths.

They had been burned from the inside by magic...

The child didn't stop crying nor did she stop shaking her parent's arm in hopes of them getting back up. Luna looked at the child; her skin was fair but was red from the constant tears that flowed down. Hair stuck to where the tears had landed and stuck out at random. Her eyes were dark underneath as if she had not experienced sleep for many years. The child continuously sobbed as she sat there, her attempts at waking her parents were yielding empty results.

"I thought...we... were friends..."

Luna wanted to comfort the child, but something stopped her. Across from the child the liquid from the floor began to shift and from it a figure began to form. It looked like an alicorn, but it was completely covered in black liquid. It looked over at the child with dead eyes before approaching. The child looked up and screamed at the presence of the monstrosity. Luna could only stare as it approached, its body emitting more of the scent already lingering in the air. She quickly snapped out of her daze and headed towards the girl in an attempt to save her, but ended up tripping on the rope tied to her and giving it a tug. She was suddenly pulled back towards the door behind her. She watched in horror as the monster swiped at the child with its horn and tearing the little one's throat open. Crimson liquid sprayed at the blackened walls along with the liquid covering the creatures face. When it turned to look down at the child that was when Luna saw it. Her eyes widen in horror at the sight that began to shrink the further she got.

There stood Celestia, smiling down as crimson liquid flowed down her horn...
