Chapter 10: 14th birthday part 1
Danny's pov.
Having lived -so to speak- with Clockwork all my after life, it wouldn't be that surprising that I would be use to subtle things; even if at times it can be a bit boring.
But there are times that I actually enjoy it... like today
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY DANNY!" I heard my parents and Jazz shout as I nearly jumped 10 feet into the air not at all expecting the greeting. But as a result in this I ended up phasing right through my bed as well as the floor making them shout out my name again, this time in distress.
I quickly phases back up as I looked at them a bit annoyed at what they did.
"What's the big idea?" I said before getting a bone crushing hug from my dad.
"Sorry Danny-boy, we wanted to surprise you that's all" He said in a cheerful manner. I sighed and smiled back at them.
"You definitely did that" I said mumbling under my breath in embarrassment a bit.
I heard Jazz snicker.
"What?" I said looking at her.
"Oh~ nothing ^^... just didn't think you would get scared so easily little bro... considering you are a ghost" She said smirking at me as I glared at her. I just knew I was blushing a bit as she snickered more.
"Awe, sweet, We're sorry"Mom said as she came over and lightly hugged me. I sighed and hugged back then saw Dad and Jazz leave as mom then began to pull me out of the room.
"Huh?"
I heard my mom snicker as she pulls at me.
"Come on sweetie, time for your surprise" She said as I raised an eyebrow.
"I thought that WAS the surprise..." I said confused. I then heard her giggle as she didn't answer me.
we headed down stairs as mom then covered my eyes.
"Is there a point to this?" I asked as I walked and let mom guide me.
I sniffed to smell breakfast as it smelled edible.
Mom then uncovered my eyes to show a HUGE breakfast laid out. I smiles as there was a lot of food I really liked. I looked to see Dad and Jazz standing behind me smiling. I smile back.
"Best way to start off a good birthday is always with a good breakfast" Mom said to me. I smiled more at this before I sat down. They sat with me as we began to eat.
Everything went silent, and for a second I thought I was back at the tower, But I soon snapped out of my thoughts when I started to hear Jazz ask me some questions.
"So, Birthday boy. What do you want to do today?" She said smiling at me brightly. I blinked at her and thought.
"Um... I'm not sure... usually I don't even think it's my birthday till Clockwork says it to me... and that's usually later in the day... So really... I'm not sure" I said as I looked to see they were a bit surprised.
"What?"
"What about a party/ I'm sure you had one of those right?" Dad said hoping I said yes. I just shrugged and nodded.
"I had a few of those yes.." I saw them all smile at me as I looked at them.
What the heck did I say?
Without warning Mom and Jazz dashed out of their seat and ran off leaving me and dad sitting there. I looked at dad as he was smiling big as always.
I smiled back a bit nervously.
After a while I found that Mom and Jazz been setting up a small party that wasn't really needed per say as just hanging with him was just as good. But this seemed to make them happy; so why complain.
I looked around to see all the decorations like balloons that looked like ghost with green and purple streamers.
I smiled a bit at this as it was really nice of them to do this.
I then felt a hand rest on my shoulder to see dad. I looked at him and smiled back.
Jazz walked over to us as she was holding her cellphone then put it up.
I raised an eyebrow at this as I saw she was looking really excited.
"Sam and Tucker will be here in a few" She said as I then blinked then smiles big. I almost forgot about them coming over.
Jazz chuckled seeing my expression.
"I see your happy about this" She said trying to tease me but all what was going on today was starting to really sink in.
"Of course!" I said excitedly making them all laugh.
Jazz's pov.
I was so happy to see how excited Danny was about all this. Mom, Dad and me wanted Danny to have a awesome birthday and the fact that he's already having fun was awesome to see.
I had called Sam and Tucker to see if they were still coming but it felt off talking to Sam.
She seemed to have a lot on her mind and how she talked to me was... off... like she wanted to ask me something but was to nervous to tell me anything.
I'll just ask her about it when she gets here. I looked at the time to see it a quarter to 12. So they would be here by 12:30, so I better get lunch ready. I walked to the kitchen only to be stopped by my dad.
"Huh?" I looked at him having a big grin on his face.
"Hey Jazzy-pants. Can you go get me something" He said as he then whispers to me "It's Danny's present"
I couldn't just say no to this so i nodded and headed towards the door. I looked to see Danny curiously looking over somethings that were laid out before I stepped out side. I giggled a little at seeing him act like this but it wasn't that much of a surprise.
I got into my care and drove off to where I already knew were his present was.
Maddie's pov.
I watched Jazz leave as I hanged everything up. I was so happy to see how excited Danny was getting about all this as he was grinning ear to ear like his father would.
I finished up setting up the decorations when I finished I saw the time was 12: 23.
"Right in time" I said happily that I got this done. Jack was making lunch as Danny wasn't sure what to do.
Chuckling I went over to him.
"Danny? How about you go play some video games... I'll call you when Sam and Tucker get here.
"It's okay mom... I want to wait down here" He said as he smiled at me. I smiled back then heard a knock at the door. I went over and saw Jazz with his gift. I shut the door before she could come in then went over to Danny and started to lightly push him to his room.
"I want you to go upstairs real quick. sorry sweetie it's just what a birthday boy has to do" I said. Danny gave me a questing but walked upstairs
"Um...Okay?" He then went to his room and shut the door.
I then went to the front door to open it. I saw Jazz laying on the ground rubbing her head with Danny's present laid next to her. I then went over to her and helped her up.
"Sorry sweetie had to get Danny to go upstairs first" I said as she stood up.
She rubbed her head a bit still "It's okay mom" She picked up the present. did Danny see it?"
"No.. Come on. We'll go put this down stairs" I said as I head inside helping Jazz carry the gift.
After we finished doing that we came upstairs to see Jack open the door for Tucker to come in.
"Hey Tucker... Your right on time" Jazz said happy to see him come in.
I smiled then headed to the kitchen.
Jack was finished with the food and I was a bit impressed seeing the lay out. I had giggled a bit seeing he as always had something that was ghost related. and for this it was that plates.
I helped Jack set the table as that was the only other thing else to do then we both headed into the living room were Tucker and Jazz were taking. A knock was soon heard indicating it was Sam.
I went over to answer the door at this.
Sam was standing there seeming lost in thought as she didn't seem to see me at first before I spoke up.
"Hey Sam... You alright?"
"Huh?" She looked up in surprise to see me as I smiled. "Oh...Hey Mrs. Fenton...Um... Yeah I'm fine" She smiled a bit off but I didn't really pay much mind as I opened the door more so she could come in.
Sam then walked in and looked around seeming to be looking for something.
"Where's Danny?" She said before she saw Tucker where she then glared a bit.
"He's up stairs...I'll go get him" I said before I was stopped by her going up the stairs.
"It's okay, I need to talk to him real quick"
I blinked in surprise to this but she didn't let me respond. I guess I'll let it pass, their good kids.
Tucker's pov.
I raised an eyebrow seeing Sam walk up the stirs. It was kinda strange seeing her act a bit nervous.
I shrugged and went back to talking with Jazz who was telling me about Danny's present. I didn't have time to get Danny a gift but she said just showing up was a gift in on itself.
That was corny but okay.
After some time Danny and Sam came down stairs seeming to had had a serious talk but they both didn't seem to want to talk about it. I got up and went over to Danny seeing as Sam went to go sit down.
"Hey dude, Happy B-day" I said to him smiling.
Danny smiled back "Hey, thanks... Glad you came" He said as he seemed happier as I guess I didn't just ask what was going on with what happened.
"No problem" I said as an uncomfortable silence broke between us.
"Lunch time!" I heard Danny's Mom said from the kitchen and I smiled smiling the sweet meat that laid on the table. I then went to the kitchen with Danny as Jazz and Sam followed right behind.
The food smelled good as I was informed that Danny's dad had made all this and I have to say. I'm impressed.
I sat down next to Danny and Sam gotten the same idea and sat next to him also as he was now in the middle between us. He seemed alright with this as he smiled at us both. I smiled back as I glared at Sam who glared at me in return.
I looked to see she was hiding something making me suspicious.
She knew something...

Okay this is my WORST chapter I have done so please forgive me because I needed to inform you on somethings of this series.
It's going on hold *shot to death*
FOR GOOD REASONS! I swear!
You see I'm not motivated to write this at the moment and to tell the truth I regret starting Hero's soul so early. I WILL keep writing this when I get inspired to write but I have no idea when this will be posted.
so yeah... WORST editing, horrible chiff hanger and all around idiotic update I have done...
To make it up to yeah, I will also tell yeah, When I finish ALL of the Living Spirit series, I will be making a remake of this (edited better and such) so if you HATE this you'll like the remake much better because now I know what to work with. But it wont be made till I finish the series first because all of the three stories will be in one in it so that's why I'm calling it a series.
But just to have fun while you get ready to shot me. What should the third story be called? Already I have Living Spirit and Hero's Soul so there's a base to start from and I WAS going to call it Infinite Ghost but I'm not 100% sure so to make up I can make a contest to it. The ones I like I'll pt it in a polls so that you all can pick it and who ever wins i'll address you in credit and all that (there's a prize also but that's a secrete X3)
Anyway. That's the best I can tell you. Right now I'm working on a series that's more motivational to me now (Twin Phantoms) If you want you can check it out and I'm working on it so next episode for that will be up next week...
Again sorry for the horrible episode but just to make notice. Chapter 9 is also a chapter, I had taken down the AN so I wanted to point it out because I think it was a bit looked over because I gave no notice to it being up (on FF)
