Chapter Ten

Everything's Gonna Be Okay, Darling

When Hermione awoke, she was in her room. She quickly hurried out of bed and went down the stairs, taking them two at a time, to get to the downstairs area faster.

She hit the wooden floor of the area hard and skidded a little.

The whole area was a mess. Little trinkets were out of their place, the walls were destroyed in some areas, some furniture was ruined. She ran her hand over a picture frame of Harry and her. The frame was damaged and it would need to be repaired.

She walked into the kitchen and was greeted with bits of everything everywhere, considering that was where the fight went on. The place and dishes they had used to eat breakfast were broken and china was all over the floor. She stepped on a piece and winced. Ouch.

She was about to lean down to take the piece of china out of her foot when someone's arm came around her waist.

"She reacted on merely instinct. She turned around and, since she didn't have her wand on her, brought a powerful right hook to their face.

"Hermione!" The person groaned before leaning down and cupping their face. The black, shaggy, messy hair flopped about as they shook their face.

"Well, maybe you shouldn't sneak up on me without making your presence known, Harry." She groaned and brought a hand to her face and rubbed it over her face roughly.

"Sorry." He mumbled and brought down his hands from his face. His face was red and pink but he'd live.

"Where's Draco? Ron? Are they okay?" She asked him, hoping for the best.

"Draco and Ron, they're okay but Ron was hit the worst. They were both hit by a Sectrumsempra (sp?) but Ron was also Crucioed. Draco had took some minor spells and a Sectrumsempra. They're both at St. Mungos." He answered and wrapped his arms around her waist again. He sat his head down on her shoulder and closed his eyed and breathed deep.

Hermione was silent for a minute before she heard him take a deep breathe.

"Are you okay?" She asked him.

"I was hit with simple spells and a few cutting spells but nothing horrible. I'll survive." He said. He rubbed his hands up and down her back.

"Now," He started and lifted her up. She squealed. He sat her down on the counter after brushing some things to the floor.

"I'm gonna get that nasty piece of china out of your foot so hold still as much as possible." He told her before leaning down and gently grabbing her foot and examining it. He winced.

Oh yeah, must be a nasty piece of china alright. She said to herself and winced when his hand touched the sore spot on her foot. She heard a 'sorry' before a hand grabbed something tiny in her foot and started to drag it out. She flinched and put her hand on her leg as he drug that piece of china out. She breathed out in relaxation as he finally got it out. She was about to jump back onto the floor when he put his hand on her leg and looked at her with a look of 'are you serious?'before accioing her shoes. He slid them onto her feet then gently let her back down on the floor.

"I'm gonna get washed up and we can go see Ron and Draco, okay?" She said to Harry. He nodded and they both went into their seperate rooms She didn't bother to put much effort into her appearance. Simple black sweatpants with heart on the left side hip, a loose dark blue V neck shirt, White Vans. She threw her hair up in a messy bun and didn't bother with make-up or jewelry.

She went downstairs and waited for Harry, and not even five minutes later, he was there next to her, holding her hand. They both walked out of the wards and apparated to St. Mungos.

They entered the wizard hospital and apparently, Harry must have known where they were already because they made their way to area of the hospital that used for curse recovery and insane people. He lead her into a room that was labeled 178-B.

As they entered, the first thing she noticed was the amount of machines. Their was so many. And they were all connected to...Ron.

His entire chest was bandaged and so was his face and arms. His leg also had a bandage on there every other place.

Draco was beside of him, his chest also being wrapped but his face was free of bandages and so were his legs but his arms had bandages on them.

As they, mainly her, took in their injuries, a nurse came in with two trays of medicine, well, potions. She noticed that two other people were in there and asked if they wanted to administer the potions to them. Hermione nodded grabbed the one that said Ron while Harry took Draco's. The nurse left the room and they both started to administer the potions to the person who needed them.

Ron had an after-cruicatus potion, blood-replenishing potion, bruise removal paste, burn-healing paste, Dittany, and murtlap essence. Draco almost had the same exact potions, except he didn't have after-cruicatus potion. Instead, he had Skele-Grow. As they administered them the potions, Hermione couldn't help but let a tear fall when Ron winced, or flinched, or shook when she applied the paste and gave him the potions.

"It's gonna be okay. It's gonna be okay." She whispered to both of them but mainly for herself. To try and calm herself down. As a pair of arms came around her, she flinched, but immediately they shushed her and started rocking them both back and forth. As she looked between Draco and Ron, and saw how fragile they looked, she turned around in Harry's arms and started to sob. He shushed her again, and pressed soft little kisses into her head while still swaying them side to side.

"It's not fair!" She said into his chest, his shirt drying her tears.

"I know, I know. But guess what?" He said into her ear.

"What?" She asked quietly, her eyes drooping a little from exhaustion.

"Everything's gonna be okay, darling. Don't you worry because they're fighters and they won't let us by ourselves. Who knows the things we'll do if they leave us. They're gonna be okay and they're gonna make it. Just keep hope." He said to her before lifting his head and looking at the two laying on the hospital beds.

"You two, keep fighting. If not for yourself, for us. We can't survive with out and you two a-are like my brothers. Don't leave me here without m-my brothers. I can't survive without you two p-properly. He stumbled over his words, a sob stuck in throat before it made his way out of his throat. Hermione arms wrapped tighter around his torso and they both stood there in that hospital room, sobbing, hoping that the two unconscious in that room would fight and just stay alive. If not for themselves, then for the two crying their eyes for them.
