Hi, get ready with some tissues, for this is a really emotionally final chapter!

000000000000000

A lone burned Dragon Hunter ship sailed out to sea, carrying the blanket-covered unmoving form of the once proud Chief, Stoick the Vast. The group without their dragons stood there watching it.

Gobber found a discarded bow and arrow and handed it to Hiccup while he said the funeral speech.

"May the Valkyries welcome you, and lead you through Odin's Great Battlefield. May they sing your name with love and fury, so that we might hear it rise from the depths of Valhalla. And know that you've taken your rightful place, at the Table Of Kings." He patted Hiccup slowly on the shoulder and moved to his position. "For a great man has fallen. A Warrior. A Chieftain. A Father," A tear fell from Hiccup's eyes as he listened. Why, Bing Bong? Why did you do it? He thought with grief.

"A Friend." Gobber finished, looking really sorrowful. Hiccup placed the tip of the arrow on some dying embers, lighting it on fire. He then aimed the flaming arrow up high, and shot it towards the ship with Stoick's body. It ignighted the ship in flames. Everybody else including Eret did the same thing, shooting their arrows at the ship until the whole thing rose up in a spectacular burning desplay.

Hiccup glanced out at it. "I'm sorry, Dad," he said with sadness. "I'm not the Chief you wanted me to be." Snotlout, the Twins, Fishlegs, and Astrid all cried silently. "And I'm not the Peace-Keeper I thought I was. Also, Bing Bomg wanted to speak to you. To tell you where he was from. But-but he never got the chance. I-I don't know..." He trailed off. Valka walked toward him. She spoke.

"You came into this world. You were such a wee thing. So frail, so fragile, I thought you wouldn't make it. But your father? He never doubted. He always said that you would become the strongest of us all, and he was right. For you have the Heart of a Chief and the Soul of a Dragon. Only you can bring our worlds together. That is who you are, son. Who we are."

She smiled at him, but he still looked saddened and maybe even a bit angry. She then knew. "It had never been Bing Bong's fault, Hiccup. For like what I said before, Good dragons under control of bad people do bad things. He was under the influence of the Dark Alpha that killed Stoick. And he is your lifelong friend. You can't be mad at him forever, son."

Hiccup glanced out at the burning ship, lost in thought. After a few moments, he spoke.

"I was so afraid of becoming my dad. Mostly because I thought I never could. H-how do you become someone that great? That selfless?" He paused. "I guess, you can only try." He then turned away from the burning ship to look at the others.

"A Chief protects his own. We're going back!"

Everybody (except the twins) smiled at each other with hope. "Uh, with what?" Tuffnut deadpanned. "He took all the dragons!" Ruffnut agreed. Hiccup simply smiled as he suddenly remembered something. "Not all of them!" He said.

A few minutes later...

Everybody, except Hiccup, screamed as they flew on the baby Scuttleclaws through the icy canyon. "I don't wanna die!" Wailed Fishlegs as he nearly crashed his dragon two times.

Tuffnut struggled to stay on his as he snapped, "We can't fly on these things!" "Yeah! No kidding!" Fishlegs agreed as his baby dragon once again smashed into the wall. Astrid flew up beside Hiccup.

"But won't that Bewilderbeast just take control of theses guys, too?" She questioned in confusion. "They're babies! They don't listen to anyone!" Hiccup explained slyly. "Yeah! Just like us!" Tuffnut cheered. Gobber yelped as he struggled to stay on. Walls of ice kept cutting them off as he tried to talk to him.

"So-" Ice wall "-what is your" ice wall "-plan?" Gobber asked. "Get Toothless back, and kick Drago's-" ice wall again. Gobber then cried out as his Scuttleclaw suddenly flew and smashed against the ice wall while the others managed to avoid it.

At Berk...

It now shows Berk at the peak of daybreak as the air suddenly is filled with the loud roar of the incoming Alpha, sending out his hypnotic call to all the Berk dragons, including Gothi's Terrible Terrors to it's side. She noticed her companions leaving her house. As she stepped outside, she gasped at what she saw.

Another random Viking was scratching his Gronkle, who was suddenly hit with the call of the Alpha and flew out, knocking over furniture as it went. Every Viking stepped out, watching in confusion and fear as all their dragons joined in a big mass around the Bewilderbeast, which towered above them roaring in triumph. Drago flew up in front of the crowd on Bing Bong's back, smiling evily.

"You're Chief is DEAD!" He proclaimed to everybody. They all whispered to each other urgently and in shock. "No one can protect you now!" The Dark Alpha roared, and spewed its icy breath onto the village.

The gang flew out of the fog, getting Berk in their sights, along with two characters they hoped to never see in their home. "Oh no," Hiccup muttered in worry. "He took all the Dragons!" Cried Fishlegs in despair. The Dark Alpha was now climbing onto the island.

Hiccup glanced back at the others. "Distract the Alpha! Try to keep his focus off of Bing- I mean Toothless!" He ordered. "Uh, How?" Tuffnut said in confusion. "Have you forgotten who you're riding with? Eret called from behind. "There isn't a dragon alive that I can't wrangle!" He patted his Scuttleclaw, who had other ideas and divebombed towards earth. "Ah! Except for this one!" Eret screamed.

Snotlout scoffed. "Amature!"

One of the Berkians suddenly noticed Hiccup and the others coming. "Hey, look! It's Hiccup!" He announced to everyone, who started cheering in hope. Dragon glanced over, his eyes open in shock. "What?" He hissed in disbelief. Bing Bong thought he heard familiar voices over the red haze of his vision and mind control from his master, but couldn't remember who it was. While Snotlout and the others distracted the Alpha with the sheep catapult and Thunderdrum horn, Hiccup flew up towards the former Imaginary Friend, still under the control of the Bewilderbeast. The Alpha noticed Fishlegs using the horn, and he blasted it with ice. Fishlegs yelped and dove for cover.

"I'm okay!" He cried. Fortunately this time there was no 'less okay' line.

Hiccup took a deep breath as he guided his Scuttleclaw to face Bing Bong and Drago. Drago smirked. "You certainly are hard to get rid of, I see that!" The young Viking wouldn't let Drago's taunts distract him from his goal, however. He held out his hand.

"Bing Bong," He said, his voice breaking. "It's me!" No response. "No, Bud, I'm right here. Please, come back to me! Remember Riley! Please!" Hiccup begged.

Drago chuckled. "He's not yours or Riley's anymore! He belongs to the Alpha! But, please, oh Great Dragon Master, try to take him! He will not miss a second time!" Hiccup kept his focus on Bing Bong.

"It was-wasn't you're fault, Bing Bong. They made you do it!" Hiccup tried, but they felt empty to him.

Bing Bong slowly felt a little bit of his lost memory return, but not completely. In the back of his mind, this control somehow didn't feel right. A familiar male voice kept penetrating the connection. The Alpha spoke to him.

Block out his words. Humans are worthless! Him and that pathetic Riley girl of yours! Bing Bong almost heeded his words, but when he insulted Riley, it somehow ignited a spark of defiance. No! How dare you! Even if she forgot me, I wouldn't let you insult her! Let me go! Bing Bong screamed inwardly. Never! Hissed the alpha. You're mine! N-no... moaned Bing Bong as he felt more controlled. But then he heard a soft female voice speak to him.

Bing Bong...

Riley? He thought in shock. Then he saw an image of her along with Hiccup, two people he cared about the most. You must fight him! Hiccup pleaded. I..I can't. He's too strong... Bing Bong groaned. Please, you can do this! Exclaimed Riley. Just think of us. You can do this! I know you can! Bing Bong nodded as suddenly, floods of strong memories burst through his head..

When he first was friends with Riley, finding himself lost in Long-Term Memory, traveling with Joy and Sadness, Imagination Land, the Subconscious, The Memory Dump, being Forgotten...turning into a Dragon and Meeting Hiccup, fighting the Red Death, facing a Whispering Death, interactions with Heather, Alvin, Mildew, Dagur, Gustav, Thornado, Skrill, Viggo, Krogan...Stoick's Death...All these memories gave Bing Bong enough strength to start blocking out the Bewilderbeast. No longer his Master. He heard Hiccup again.

"Please, you, are my best friend, bud." Bong Bong's Vision flickered After these words. He was resisting the control.

No! No dragon can resist me! Shrieked the Dark Alpha. Bing Bong smirked. I am no Dragon! He thought savagely, finally ripping himself free from the control. His vision cleared, seeing Hiccup as though he were seeing him for the first time.

"Atta boy! That's it!" He cheered. I'm here!" Bing Bong smiled. "I missed you!" He said cheerily. "STOP!" Roared Drago, smacking his bullstaff against Bing Bong. That's it! He thought, savagely gripping the staff and flinging Drago off his back.

"Yeah hah!" Yelled Hiccup triumphantly. But then Bing Bong felt himself fall. He couldn't fly without a rider. "Hang on!" Hiccup called as he jumped down toward him.

Bing Bong struggled to fly, but it was useless. "Help!" He cried as he fell towards the water. Hiccup managed to reach out his hand toward the saddle, gripping it with his hands and pulling himself onto Bing Bong's back and guiding him away from the water. The two flew around the island, glancing over at Drago standing on the Bewilderbeast's head.

"DO SOMETHING!" roared Drago as Hiccup suddenly came up with a plan. "Bing Bong, we need to get those two apart." "I was thinking the same thing!" Bing Bong said, smirking. They flew past a flag, Hiccup ripping a piece from it. The Dark Alpha shot ice, missing the duo by a mile. That's when the hypnotic call tried taking Bing Bong over again, his vision flickering off and on.

"Hiccup. I can't control it..." He whimpered, trying to shake it out. Hiccup patted him on the head. "You got to try to block him out, Bing Bong. Just think of all of us and Riley." He suddenly placed the cloth over Bing Bong's eyes. "Do you trust me?" He asked. The former Imaginary Friend nodded silently, fear building inside him.

"We can do this. You and me. As one!" Hiccup guided Bing Bong around to face the Bewilderbeast again, flying over the crowd. "All right, now let's try this one more time!" He cried out, flying over Astrid.

"TAKE 'EM DOWN, BABE!" She cheered, the crowd following suit. Valka smiled from on her Scuttleclaw. "Go get them." She murmured.

Drago glowered at Hiccup and Bing Bong as he roared, "Take control of him!" The Bewilderbeast sent out his call again, nearing taking over Bing Bong's mind, but Hiccup placed his hands and arms over Bing Bong's ears. "Shut it out, Bing Bong!"

"STOP THEM!"

"NOW!"

The two flew up past the icy blast the Alpha shot at them. Dragon laughed triumphantly as he looked up, but his mouth fell open as he saw that Hiccup has disappeared from The Night Fury's back! Bing Bong smirked down at him. "April Fools!" He said playfully. Drago raised his brow but then he glanced behind him, right on time to see the boy coming at him in his flight suit. He then drew out the Inferno weapon, spraying the Zippleback gas along where Drago was and sending out the spark, creating a large explosion.

Drago yelled out as the explosion sent him flying off the Bewilderbeast and collapsing to the ground. Hiccup smiled triumphantly but it faded as the Alpha's Tail rose up before him, bringing bad memories of the Red Death incident. "Not again," he groaned. He glanced back. "Bing Bong! It's now or never!" Bing Bong's eyes widened at what was happening. He wouldn't let it happen to Hiccup again! He concentrated hard, suddenly feeling the spikes on his back popping up. He managed to fly underneath Hiccup, catching him as the two soared up along the tail. "Hold on!" Hiccup yelled, bracing themselves. But all they felt was open air.

They made it.

"Yeah! We did it!" Hiccup cheered. Bing Bong narrowed his eyes. "Let's never do that again!" He snapped. Hiccup laughed nervously at that. But then he spotted Drago and the two landed in front of him. Hiccup drew Inferno and threw it, landing a few inches away from Drago's fingers and making him cry out in fury and pain.

"Hold him there, Bing Bong!" the Imaginary Friend agreed, he was not letting this bastard escaping anytime soon, that's for sure!

Hiccup glared. "It's all over now." He was unaware of the Dark Alpha rising up behind them. Dragon smiled evilly. "Or is it?" He sneered. Hiccup then looked back, his eyes widening in fear as he tried to run, but the Bewilderbeast shot his icy blast, covering the pair as Bing Bong jumped, shielding Hiccup as best he can as the ice stung his scales, and then all was quiet.

0000000000

It was cold. Air was draining as Bing Bong felt the life in his friend fading from lack of oxygen. He felt utter rage flood within him. The despicable pair had crossed the line. No way was he going to almost loose Hiccup a second time! Heat soared through his body, his scales glowing blue. The ice started to crack. "Bing Bong?" Hiccup murmured softly in shock.

Valka was banging on the ice, trying to free her only son and his friend. As she began to loose hope, she heard a familiar banshee-like screech building and the ice glowing blue. She backed away, just as the frozen water exploded, revealing an unscathed Bing Bong covering hiccup with glowing blue spikes.

Bing Bong turned his now freed head at the Dark Alpha, letting out a huge roar unlike his other ones. "You will PAY for hurting my family, you sick bastard!" Bing a Bong bellowed, as the Alpha roared back, "BRING IT ON, WEAKLING! YOU WILL BE MINE ONCE AGAIN!"

Bing Bong turned to Hiccup. Giving him a concerned look. Hiccup simply smiled, nodding encouragingly. "Do it," He said. Bing Bong smiled too as he leapt into the air despite his disabled tail fin, landing on one of the pieces of Bewilderbeast Ice, giving out a roaring challenge.

"You don't deserve to rule these dragons. They should be able to think for themselves, not for you! I challenge you for their leadership!" He bellowed.

"WELL, IT'S PRETTY OBVIOUS WHO WILL WIN, PUNK!" Snarled the Dark Bewilderbeast. Hiccup and Valka stared in amazement.

"He's challenging the Alpha!" He exclaimed. "To protect you!" Valka said in awe.

Bing Bong charged up a plasma blast and shot four of them at the Bewilderbeast, causing him to get disoriented. Another shot made him loose control of the other dragons for a few minutes. A few minutes was all they needed.

Freya was the first to snap out of it. She shook her head. Wha-what happened? She thought. Then she heard the explosions and set her eyes upon Bing Bong challenging the Alpha. She stared. It was amazing! Then she heard him giving out a rallying roar. She called back to the others to follow her to Bing Bong's side. The Bewilderbeast was roaring in fury for them all to get back to him.

"No. NO! WHAT ARE YOU DOING? FIGHT BACK. FIGHT! FIIIIGGHHT!" Drago bellowed, hopping onto the Bewilderbeast's tusk and then onto it's head. Everydragon lined up behind Bing a Bong, who got Hiccup onto his back and jumped onto a bigger piece of ice. Hiccup glared out at Drago.

"Now do you get it!? This is what it is to earn a Dragon's loyalty!" He shouted. Drago just stared, thunderstruck. "Let this end now!" Hiccup finished, glaring hard. Drago snarled. "NEVER! COME ON!" He egged on his Bewilderbeast, who bellowed, "YOU WILL ALL DIE AFTER I FINISH HIM OFF!" He glared hatefully at Bing Bong, who didn't back down.

"Everyone, Fire after my first shot!" He commanded, fueling up another blast, shooting it hard at the Bewilderbeast, making him stumble again. The other dragons followed suit with their own fire. And one of Drago's own armored dragons even shot his metal arm off.

The Bewilderbeast reared up high, preparing to blast them all with ice, but Bing Bong was more than ready. He fired his biggest plasma blast yet, the explosion echoing throughout Berk. The Bewilderbeast roared in pain, one of his tusks breaking off and thudding to the ground. He then knew he was no longer Alpha. The former Imaginary Friend had the upper hand or claw.

Bing Bong roared. "You are defeated! You are Banished for life. Leave Berk and take this man who killed Stoick with you! Never hurt my friends and family ever, ever again!" He huffed in the former Dark Alpha's direction. He gazed at Bing Bong, defeat and pain on his face. Hiccup glared. "The Alpha protects them all!" He declared triumphantly.

The Bewilderbeast bowed his head, never saying a word. This being from another universe had somewhat amazed him, despite what he used to be. The Dragon within him had upgraded his bravery. With Drago still on his head, he dived into the sea, never to be seen again.

Bing Bong glared down at where the Bewilderbeast left. But then he heard cheering. He looked behind him and saw both dragons and Vikings cheering for both him and Hiccup. Everydragon landed in a circle around him, along with Cloudjumper who landed in front of Bing Bong. Bing Bong looked at him in confusion.

Cloudjunmper smiled. "You showed great courage ending the Dark Alpha's reign and freeing us all. I declare that you've proven yourself worthy as our first Night Fury Alpha. King of all Dragons! He then bowed, the other dragons following suit.

Bing Bong was thunderstruck. Him? A Leader? He then grinned. This could probably work! For good measure, he let out a roaring cheer that mixed with the other dragons. Hiccup then approached him, pride written on his features as he placed his hands on Bing Bong's Head.

"You never ceased to amaze me, bud. Thank you." Bing Bong smiled, too. "Thank you for not giving up on me." He then suddenly attacked Hiccup with Night Fury kisses. "Aagh! Toothless! You know that doesn't wash out!" Hiccup cried out using the famous nickname. Bing Bong then watched, smiling as everydragon reunited with their owners, along with all the Terrors landing on Gothi. Freya ran towards Astrid, who hugged her joyfully. "Aw, give me a cuddle, Grump!" Gobber exclaimed, resulting in Grump simply landing right into Gobber and falling asleep again.

Then Fishlegs and Snotlout, seeming to run towards Ruffnut, instead ran past her to hug Hookfang and Meatlug. She sighed in disappointment. Barf suddenly nudged her affectionately, and she hugged him. "Oh, Barf! Not you!" She nudged Belch away who turned to Tuffnut.

Skullcrusher bowed his head respectfully to Bing Bong before turning to Hiccup, letting out soft growls. "That was some pretty fine Dragon Wrangling back there!" Said Eret who was nearby. "You'd make a great Trapper!" Skullcrusher suddenly nudged Eret's arm playfully. The man to him didn't seem too bad. "You know, Skullcrusher is gonna need someone to look after him now." Hiccup stated. Eret was in shock. "M-me?" He stuttered. Hiccup nodded. Eret smiled. "I'd be honored."

Valka walked up to Hiccup, smiling. "Your father would be every bit as proud as I am." "Thank you. I'm really glad you're here, mom." Hiccup said happily. Bing Bong nuzzled under Valka's arm. "And here I'll stay." She declared.

Astrid strode up, smirking. "See? Told you it was in here!" She then pressed the button that activated the tail fin on the flight suit. The two laughed. "Hah! Still doing that one? That's hilarious." Hiccup suddenly swept Astrid into his arms. "C'mere, you!" The two then kissed right on the lips. Bing Bong shut his eyes while Gobber covered a kid's eyes. Hiccup then felt Gothi tap on him, who gestured him to get down on one knee.

She gathered up soot on her finger, drawing a symbol on Hiccup's forehead. The symbol of the Chief. Bing Bong was in shock again. Two new Alphas in one day? Gobber stood next to them, smiling proudly. "The Chief has come home!" He announced, causing the whole crowd to cheer.

Chief Hiccup and Bing Bong the Dragon Alpha were now ready for anything!

Two weeks later

Ever since the Drago incident Berk had been cleaning off the ice on the island. Dragon Races started up again, too.

This is Berk. A bit trampled and busted and covered in ice but it is home. It's our home!

Bing Bong halted in mid-air with Hiccup on his back, watching as other Vikings built a statue by the Great Hall in honor of the late Stoick the Vast. The two still missed him. Astrid and Freya suddenly flew past them, laughing. She did a flyby past Gobber's Smithy who was pulling the Armor off Drago's former dragons. Valka waved to them as well. Gobber quickly ran over to the sheep catapult and sent the black sheep flying for the final run.

Those who attacked us are relentless, and crazy. But those that stop them? Ooh, even more so! We may be small in numbers, but we stand for something bigger than the world can pit against us. We are the voice of peace. And bit by bit, we will change this world!

The black sheep flew through the air, looking like it might fall into Freya's claws, but then a familiar black streak came out of nowhere, letting out a banshee-like screech. Astrid chuckled as Bing Bong looked at her, giving his toothless grin. The duo flew towards the goal pens, Hiccup placing the black sheep into Astrid's.

You see, we have something they don't. Oh, sure they have armies and they have armadas. But we, we have.. Our Dragons!

The whole gang including Eret landed their dragons near the thrones by the goalpens. Hiccup and Bing Bong by the high seat of Stoick. Hiccup glanced out proudly over his people. Bing Bong was overflowing with joy. He had his Viking and Dragon family, along with some new faces and a Grandfather figure, Cloudjumper. And he was a new leader with new responsibilities. He let out a happy roar. What could possibly happen next bigger than this?

The End

Thank you so much for your reviews on this story! It took me a whole year to write this thing along with a horrible writer's block, but it is finally done. I will write the upcoming third movie, which will be called Bing Bong the Night Fury: The Hidden World. I'll post an end credits chapter next.
