Narcissa' point of view, three months later:

Butterflies assaulted my stomach when I heard a knock on the door. Moving quickly, I went to open the door. Percy and I were having dinner again, and we spent as much time together as we could, which was most nights.

"Hello," Percy said, smiling as he held out a bouquet of red roses when I opened the door. "These are for you."

"Thank you, Percy," I said accepting the flowers as my heart beat out of my chest. The only person who'd ever bought me flowers before was Mum, so I'd given up the idea that someone would give them to me as romantic gesture. I held them to my nose and breathed deeply. "I appreciate them," I said, looking over the roses at him.

He gave me a wide smile. "I hoped you would. I know you like lilies, but I thought you might like these too." His cheeks were bright red by the time he finished talking.

"That's sweet." Leaning up, I gave him a kiss on the cheek. "I'll put them on the table."

Percy followed me to the table, which I set for our private dinner. We talked about going out, but decided on eating in instead. We wanted and enjoyed doing simple things at my place or his. I pulled out a vase and started to fill it with water.

"Dinner smells good," Percy said, and looking over my shoulder, I saw Percy leaning against the counter.

"Thank you," I said, smiling as I picked up the vase full of flowers. "I'm making lasagna."

Percy gave me the boyish grin that I enjoyed. "I hoped you would. Do you need any help?"

I shook my head. "I'll just get the lasagna out of the oven."

Once the lasagna was served, we ate in silence, enjoying our meal. Percy ate quickly, shoveling large bites in his mouth.

"This is so good, Narcissa," he commented, shoveling the last bite into his mouth.

"I knew you'd enjoy it," I commented. "More?"

"Yes, please," he replied.

I scooped up more for him. "You remind me of Draco," I said. "He loves this dish too."

"I was thinking, Narcissa," Percy said slowly, accepting my plate. "I think we should tell him about us."

I sighed. "I've been thinking the same, but I just don't know if I'm ready for him to know."

"What do you mean?" Percy looked hurt.

"I've never been happier." I said, taking his hand. "He's just the most important man in my life, next to you. One of the few family members I have left, and I guess I'm afraid how he'll take it."

Percy nodded slowly. "I just don't want to feel like your big secret."

My mouth fell open slightly. "Is that how I've made you feel, Percy? If so …"

"I didn't mean it that way," Percy interjected. "It's not like I've told a lot of people either. I just … I'm just ready for people to know you're my girlfriend."

"Is that what we are now?" I asked giving him a coy smile.

Percy turned bright red. "I sort of wanted to make it official I guess," he said softly, and my stomach did a flip.

"I'd really like that, Percy." I squeezed his hand. "How about we have dinner with Draco, Andromeda, and Teddy? That way they can get to know you as my boyfriend."

"And I'd like you to meet my parents," he said. "I could have them meet us at my place."

I nodded, not believing that I was going to meet his parents. When I met Lucius' parents, I'd gone with my parents to set up our arranged marriage. It wasn't because we were in an respectful, caring relationship. It was to set up my status and bind myself in an unloving marriage. I hoped and prayed that this would be different than this time around. I didn't want or need to end up in another relationship with a selfish man.

Those thoughts were broken when Percy gave my hand a squeeze. His blue eyes shown something that Lucius never did, care and warmth for me. I gave his hand a squeeze back as a surge of emotion ran through me. I wanted to tell him this, but couldn't bring myself to voice my feelings. I wasn't in a place where I could yet and allow myself to vulnerable in front of him, at least not yet.

Over the next forty minutes we finished our food, filling each other in on our day at work and how our latest projects were going before we moved to the couch with a glass of wine each. I tensed briefly when Percy placed his arm around me, but relaxed into his side. I sighed when I felt his long fingers stroke the outside of my elbow.

Eventually, I turned my face up to look at his. His blue eyes watched me intently, and my breath hitched when he dipped his head and kissed me. I moaned as his kisses deepened. No kisses had ever felt like this before. All thoughts escaped my mind as his lips continued to move against mine, allowing him to pull him closer to him. When he pulled away from me, I sat, startled.

"I'm sorry," he said. "Was that too much?"

"No it wasn't," I said, grabbing his face and pulling him toward me again.

I giggled as he kissed me firmly again. Before now, I tended to shy away from kissing him, but now I was just as eager to share kisses with him.

"Narcissa," he muttered against my lips, his hand running through my hair, making me shiver. I usually pulled away before this point, but the deep kisses he gave me now were making me want him more than any other man ever had. I moaned as I felt his tongue caress mine.

Loud cursing made us jump apart and to our feet. Draco stood in my doorway, red faced and angry.

"What do you think you're doing," Draco said through gritted teeth as he advanced toward Percy.

"I …" Percy started.
"Don't you dare," I said, putting myself between my son and boyfriend, bringing myself up to my full height.

"You really think I'm going to sit here and let him …" Draco stopped short and swallowed.

"Let him what?" I asked. "Allow him to kiss his girlfriend?"

Draco blanched as the truth of his words hit me. "And when were you going to tell me about him?"

"We actually were taking things slow and didn't think we needed to tell you until we were sure about each other," I said firmly.

Draco's mouth formed a firm line. "Can I talk to him alone then?" Draco asked, surprising me.

My eyes searched his. "Why?" I asked.

"I need to know that he's good enough for you, Mum," Draco said after a time. "I just want to talk, promise."

I nodded. "Alright," I replied. "I'll make us some tea."

I squeezed Percy's hand, afraid to look at him. Afraid that he'd leave, just when my life with him started to get even better.

A little short, but here you go. I love cliffhangers, and please review.
