PERCY POV
I can't believe it! She was actually here!
I just stood there looking at her while she looked back at me. I smiled at her and held the bag out for her to take. Say something you idiot! I opened my mouth to hopefully say words but i never got the chance. A girl walked up and had snatched her away so fast she hardly had anytime to grab the backpack from my hand. I just stood there smiling like an idiot while she trailed away.
"Yo kelp head class is this way!" Bianca said to me.
"Huh?" I asked still looking in the direction Annabeth had went. I could practically feel Bianca roll her eyes.
"Come on idiot we can't be late!" I let her drag me away to the class. When we made it to the square shaped room there were students already there talking and stuff. Bianca and I took seatsin the middle of the room next to eachother. "Oh hey!" Bianca says to a group of girls that walked by. I on the otherhand just kept looking straight ahead. My mind was swarmingn with thoughts. I mean i never thought id see her again or at least i had never expected it to be here. I had neever seen her at school before so i just assumed...
"Okay what is up with you?" Bianca asked snatching me out of my thoughts.
"What?"
"You have been acting spacy since we stepped into class."
"We've only been here for a few minutes." I said.
"Percy we've been here almost twenty minutes." Whoa did not see that coming. Damn ADHD i can never stay focused. My mom shinks im extra ADHD and that I should sometimes be the poster child for people everwhere with it. I wonder if there is a poster child for ADHD. DAMN did it again.
"Sorry I was just...thinking." I said lamely.
"You? Thinking?" Bianca looked at me as if I was some type of alien.
"I am capeable of doing that." I told her. A paper airplane flew by me and missed my head by mear inches. I looked around to see everyone goofing off and doing whatever. "Okay where is the teacher?"
"Do you ever pay attention?" Bianca asked with an exasperated sigh.
"Apparently not because to pay attention I would have to think, so,ething that am not able to do."
"Glad your finally accepting it. Mr Jalenson came in introduced himself, passed out these class handouts, then got a call saying his wife was going into labour so he ranout of here like a run away slave!" (I mean no offense to anyone who is of african american race and or have great grandparents who were slaves. I myself am black so...yeah)
"Oh well is anyone else going to step in?"
"Probably not until second period. If not all the students will just leave the class anyway?"
"You think?"
"I know. The fifteen minute rule!" She said.
"Whats that?"
"Are you that slow?"
"Think I cannot remember." I said getting my yoda on. bianca gave me glowering look. She hates Star Wars.
"If a teacher doesn't show up during the first 15 minutes of class the students are free to leave." She explained.
"And thats an actually rule?"
"Well not an school board rule, its sort of an unsaid rule like not going after your best friends ex or your ex's best friend."
"Uh... but people do that."
"My point is, that its not written but it is known."
"Got it. So how much longer do we have here?"
"Umm...class gets out at 9:50 so in an hour and a half."
"Awesome wake me when class is over."
"Wait your going to sleep?"
"Yep!" I said popping the P. "Nico and me stayed up late last night so im sleepy." I used my backpack to lay my head on and I used my arms to sheild my head from more crashing paper airplanes.

After first period I seriously had to pee and of course the nearest bathroom would be un-svailable for use so I had to find a new one and just as I was leaving the restroom the tardy bell rang.
"Ugh, Great!" I said. No point and rushing anymore. I took my time walking searching for my class. Maybe i'll get lucky and it will be the same thing as first period though I doubt proffessor James, whoever he is, is awaiting news that his wife is about to have a baby. So...i'm probably screwed
210...212...214...216... Where the hell is-oh 218! I peeked through the little glass windowon the door to see what was going on. It looked as if all the class was there. There were six sets of llab tables with two or three people seated at each. I spotted nico and Grover goofing off at one of the tables on the far right sidde near the window. The teacher was writing on the board so his back was to me. Well...this should be fun!
Slowly and quietly I opened the door. I stuck my head inside and waved my hand so that I could get someone's attention. Eventually Graver saw me and gave a goofy wave. I pointed to Nico and I had to do it about five times before Grover finally understood that I wanted him to get his attention for me. Grover leaned over and whispered into Nico's ear and he turned to me. He looked at me with a smirk and shook his head. I pointed to the teacher then brought my hands together saying please.
"Uh...Proffessor James?" Nico said gaining the teachers attention.
"Yes Nico?" He said not taking his sight away from the board.
"Umm...can you tell me what this is?" Nico flipped to a random page in the science book in his desk. Proffessor James walked away from the board and to Nico. I took this as my chance to slip in. I went behind the nearest desk ducking on my hands and knees.
"Hey Perce." The guy at the table said. I recognized him as one of the guys on the swim team.
"Oh hey wassup man." I gave him a quick fist bump then contniued down the class, ducking from desk to desk. The desk were arranged in two columns with three in each so the plan was to hind behand the first row and use to it to get o the back of the room. Once I was in the back I planned on using the space between the second and third row to get to the third column, middle row where Nico and Grover were sitting.
I was about to go to the the third column when Proffessor James had finished with Nico and was goigng back to the head of the classroom. Grover looked back at me and I did my handa in a repeat motion and mouthed 'keep going'.
"Umm Proffesor James?" Grover yelled out suddenly.
"Yes Mr. Underwood?" He sighed.
"Um...can you,...uhh...tell me...what...um...where-,"
"Where babies come from." Nico said suddenly. The whole class erupted into laughter and I used this to my advantage to sneak by. I was now at the last table of the column nico and grover were sitting at.
"Ow!" I said as one of the people at the table kicked me in the side.
"Oh I'm so sorry, I -Percy?" I looked up and you'll never guess who I saw...again.
"Annabeth?" I stared at her in shock for the second time in today. The girl sitting next to her had a scowl on her face as she looked between the two of us. I placed my hand on the desk to pull my self up but failed epicly because I had grabbed her text book instead. Because I put too much pressure on it, I slipped and fell to the grund like an idiot and the book hit the floor with a thud right next to me. Crap!
Everyone turned their attention on to me while I smiled shyly. "Uh...hi!"
"Ahh.. Perseus how nice of you to join us." The teacher said. I got up foreal this time and brushed my self off.
"I'm sorry proffessore...Octavian?" I finally got a good look at the teacher and big shocker here it's Octavian. Octavian is one of my older brother Triton's friends from College. He spent all of summer with us even went on vaction with us to vinice. He let me drive his Porsh around while we were down there and boy was that baby sweet.
"Octavian what are you doing here?"
"Teaching, duh."
"Aren't you like still in college though?"
"Yes I am. This is a type of project like thing. It's supposed to be like a trial run for the real thing. I'm only teaching for the first semester and this second period class only. When that bell rings I have to return to campus."
"Alright then." I grinned. Having Octavian for a teacher is going to be sweet. He's like one of the coolest guys i know plus he's really funny.
"Take your seat Percy, oh and it's professor James here."
"Yes sir." I mocked slauted him before taking the seat between Nico and Grover. I glanced back at Annabeth hoping to catch her attention but she was busy writing something in her notebook.
"Okay now I guess introduction isn't really needed at this point." Octavian lokoed pointedly at me and I winked. "But for those who werent listening my name is Professor James but if you want you may call me Mr. J. In a little bit I am going to sepereate you off into groups of twos. The person you are paired with will be your lab partner for the remainder of the semsester and I will assign you and your partner a table. First I'm going to need everyone to gather there things and stand at the front. when you hear your name go to the table I tell you and I want no complaints."
To my shock no one argued or complained with him. We all stood at the front and waited for him to cal out our partners.
"Jo Mason and Carly shells."
"So Perce why were you late?" Nico asked me.
"I had to pee and the bathroom on J hall wasn't up and running yet."
"Well dude you should have went to the one on F hall it's close to J and it's around the corner from here." Grover said.
"Seriously? Man I went all the way to B hall."
"Percy thats down stairs." Nico said. "What did you think all the toilets up here were broken?"
"No, I guess I just wasn't thinking. I had just woken up."
"Oh yeah B told me. And a pparently you drool in your sleep."
"I do not."
"Yeah you do man." Grover said. "And sometimes you talk."
"Oh yeah, B told me to ask you who wise girl is?"
"Uh...no idea." I lied.
"Mogan Gates and Ashleigh Neil."
Speaking of Wise girl I looked over at her. She was standing across the room with her scowling friend. They seemed to be in a heated discussion. I couldn't tell what they were saying but I could understand that Annabeth seemed annoyed. Her freind looked up and scowled right at me. She said something else to Annabeth who then loked up at at me. Thankfully though Annabeth didn't scowl. She didn't smile either but hey you take what you get.
"What are you doing?" Nico asked me.
"what? Nothing." I turned away.
"Yeah you are you're making that face that you use to always make when you would look at that hot math teacher from last year."
"Who ms. Welsh?" Grover asked.
"Yep!" Nico nodded while grinning.
"Oh, she was very hot!" Grover agreed.
"So, tell me PErce what hottie are you looking at?"
"None." I lied and I have no idea why.
"Yeah right. Was it the read head?" Nico asked looking in the direction I had been looking.
"No."
"The Brunet?"
"No."
"The one with the blue streak?"
"Deffinitly not." That girl keeps scowling at me like I kicked her puppy or something.
"Well I know it wasn't the blonde." Nico and grover laughed but when I didn't answer it slowed. "It wasn't the blonde was it Perce?" Nico wasn't laughing anymore. "Please tell me you weren't looking at the blonde."
"What if i was?" I asked curiously. I didn't understand why me looking at Annabeth was a problem.
"WHAT ARE YOU CRAZY?" Grover yelled gaining the attention of everyone in the class.
"Is who crazy Grover?" Octavian asked.
"Uh... no one Prof James." Nico said. "Grover's just a little excited about enchilada Monday in the cafeteria."
"Wait it is?" GRover asked.
"Well try to keep your excitement down." Octavian warned. "Jessica starr and Rosie Delgato."
"Why is it such a big deal if I was looking at her?" I asked them.
"Why? Why?" Nico said. "Because her family, not to mention yours, will skin you alive thats why!"
"But-"
"No buts," He cut me off. "I know she's hot and everything, and you like pissing off your dad any chance you get but yo ucan do it some other way."
"I am so confussed!" I said throwing my hands up.
"What's there to be confused about?" Nico said. "Life good!" He said pointing to me. "Blonde bad!" He said throwing a finger at Annabeth.
"Okay your kinda acting insane right now." I told him.
"Your the one making googly eyes at the enemey and yet im the insane one?"
"Wait Nico I think he seriously doesn't know." Grover told him. Thank you finally!
"What do you mean he doesn't know? How could he not know?"
"Well it is Percy we are talking about." Grover said.
"Hey! Still here guys." I said interrupting them.
"Nico Di' Angelo and Thalia Grace." Scowling girl walked over to a table and sat down.
"Well make him understand." Nico told Grover before going over to the table.
"Okay whats going on?" I asked. "Why are you guys acting like me looking at a girl is going to get me killed or start World War 3 or something."
"Thats because it might." He muttered. "Do you seriously not know who that is?"
"I know her names Annabeth."
"Yeah, Annabeth-"
"Grover Underwood and Michael Yew!"
"It's what?" I asked.
"Her full name is Annabeth-"
"Now Mr. Underwoord." Octavian said.
"Coming." Grover said. "Just stay away from her." He gave me one last look before going off to his table. My friends are so weird. Her parents and mine will skin me alive? i mean what was that about. As much as I hate it people are lways trying to get me to go out with their daughters. The only peole who wouldn't want me to go anywhere near their family would be the...My eyes widened and I looked at Nico and Grover.
I looked at Annabeth then back at them. I brought my hand up slowly and pointed at her.
"YES Finally!" Nico suddenly yelled out again which caused everyone to look at him. "Uh...I finally caught that darn fly." He said and went over to the window with an empty balled up fist. "Be free!" He said openeing his hand and sticking it outside the window.
"Nico!" OCtavian said.
"Yeah?"
"Close the window and sit down."
"Gotcha." Nico said and went back to his seat. Scowling girl, i mean Thalia had a small smile playing on her face. Wait Thalia? Athena's god daughter? That would explain why... Ahhh I can't believe I was so stupid. Okay no, I don't believe i was so stupid. No way she's her, i mean i would have known. Right?
I looked over at Annabeth who was just standing there, thinking no doubt. I would almost see the gears turning in her head and I saw the concentration in her beautiful gray eyes. Eyes. Gray! OH MY GOD ATHENA'S GONNA KILL ME!
Oh god, oh god, oh god, oh god, oh god...How could i have been that stupid! I can't believe she was so stupid. Maybe she just didn't know who I was. I looked over at her and watched as she looked at me. I could see her putting the pieces the pieces together then she starred at me with wide eyes. Well she does now!
Oh god what if we end up as partners? There's only six of us left which means my chances of getting partnered with her are like 25%... I think...UGH, I dont know I really suck at math. Octavian wouldn't put us together though so I should be good. Yeah! Octavian knows the situation along with all of the frickin world so he wouldn't do that to me. He's the awesome funny guy that let me drive his Porsh over vaction.
"Annabeth Chase and Percy Jackson." Octavian said looking at me with a sly smile. OH god, oh god, oh god, oh god, oh god! Is it possible to hyperventilate in your mind? "Please take the table in fornt of Mr. Di' Angelo and miss Grace." He said obviously trying not to smile at the panic look i was sure I was wearing. Annabeth didn't seem any type of calm though either. Slowly I made my way over to my table as whispers began to spread about how he had partnered us together. When I was seated Nico reached forward and patted my shoulder.
"Good luck buddy!" He said.
"Uh-huh!" Was all I managed to say as Annabeth slid into the seat next to me.
"Drew you and Jake can take that table over there." Octavian said to the last two. "Alright now that, thats finished lets move on to the first project." He gave his hands a clap and it was like lighting a fuse.
"Your a CHASE?"
"Your a JACKSON?" Annabeth and I had turned to eachother and yelled out suddenly.
