AUTHOR'S NOTE: Hello everyone! I am soooo sorry that it has been months since I have written. My life has been crazy with trips, school, and my job, please forgive me. I will try to update more regularly now that I am getting back the swing of things. Oh, and for those who are confused, yes I have changed my name from Wizz13 to Wella Forever. So, without further delay, please enjoy this chapter.

Dr. Denman's POV

Flashback

Yes, I know that I had just failed to capture 3 mermaids and become one of the most renowned scientist. But hey, what was I supposed to do? Not like I could have won by myself. So, here I am on a flight back to my top-secret lab/compound in the U.S..

As I am pulling throughout the gates of the compound I can't help keep thinking that if I only had exactly the right equipment I could have succeeded. I pull up to the front office and park my car. As I walk into the office building I can't help but notice that my secretary, Lisa, is not at his desk. I just shrug it off knowing that he is probably someplace else in the building working. After passing the secretary's desk I walk down the long hallway and press the up button on the elevator. Once the elevator arrives I step in and press the button for the 3rd floor. When it gets to floor, I then walk down the hallway to the last door on the left.

As I enter my office I'm startled to see three people in there. There was my secretary, Lisa, my assistant, Mark, and then a very important looking person in a black suit carrying a briefcase. They are also sitting in chairs around my rather large desk. When I entered the room, the important looking person motions with his hand for me to come sit at my desk across from him. As I do so he pulls some papers out of his briefcase. Once I sit down he starts to talk.

"My name is John Walter and I am here on business from the United States' Office of Science and Technology." He says, then looking down at one of the papers he continues, "We have here that you applied for a U.S. grant to help expand your lab and to further your scientific research. Is this right?"

"Yes that it right." I reply, getting a sudden hope that I actually got the grant.

He continues, "Well then all I need is for you and your assistant here to both sign this document and the grant is yours."

After Mark and I had both signed the document we all stood up and I shook Mr. Walter's hand.

"The funds will be wired to your account this very afternoon," he states.

"Thank you very much," I reply.

Then without another word he walks out of my office. Once he is gone I can't hold in the big grin I have. I actually got the grant!

Then turning to Lisa and Mark I say, "with this grant we are going to buy all the latest scientific and technical equipment."

Mark asks quizzically, "why do we need all the new equipment?"

I reply, " I have an unsettled score with some people back in Australia."

End of Flashback

On the airplane back to Australia.

Dr. Denman's POV

So it is now a year later and I am coming back to the gold coast. I can't help but smile knowing that the girls are going to get the surprise of their life. Ah, I can't wait.

Emma's POV

Once we land Ash and I are very cautious not to let Dr. Denman see us. After we get our luggage and we head to our rental car where we will then drive to the Juicenet Cafe where I am hoping to surprise Cleo and Rikki.

Then suddenly I feel Ash's grip on my hand loosen and the last thing I hear before I blackout is Dr. Denman awful voice.

Dr. Denman's POV

This was surprisingly very easy. All my bodyguards had to do was place the rag with sleeping gas over their mouths and they were out cold in a matter of seconds.

"Boys," I say, "put them in to the car and be very careful because they are going to take a little trip to the compound back in the U.S.."

"Yes ma'am," my bodyguards reply.

"Oh and guys, no water around the girl, we would not want any unexpected developments to occur."
