Chapter ten
"I guess I expect nothing anymore. I thought more of people who used to be the power rangers."
Everyone stared at Mark with wide eyes. "I don't know what you mean" said Aisha
"I told you Kim talks in her sleep. I asked and she answered. Your secret is safe with me but you need to do better."
Everyone stared at Mark wondering what to say next. It completely took them by surprise when Mark had announced what he had about them being rangers. Jason was the first to speak "I don't know what to say man."
Mark shrugged his shoulders and said "You don't have to say anything, you know where I stand."
"What is it that you want?" asked Aisha
"I want nothing more than for that woman" Mark said pointing at Kim "to be okay. From what I understand from you what I want is what you want. You need to stop questioning my role in her life and just accept the fact that during the time you weren't close she and I were. I am being the bigger person by letting you be here despite the fact that she has not contacted you in years."
"While that is true it is just hard to see her close with anyone that isn't in our group. It is also hard to look at her now and know that we have missed out on so much of her life. " Rocky said trying to get everyone on the same page
"Lets not argue in here. If we can't be civil in here than lets take this out to the waiting room" suggested Adam
Everyone agreed and they walked out of the room. "Hey guys I will meet you in the waiting room. I need to make a phone call and give some people a status update." Mark said. As Mark stopped a few feet outside Kim's room so that he could make his calls the rest of the gang continued to walk until they reached the waiting room. Jason was the first to speak but not until he pulled Trini in a big hug. "You okay?" Jason asked
Trini nodded but tears had already started to come and run down her cheeks. "If I would have known what was going to happen I would never have told those police officiers to leave. I just thought they needed a break. I never dreamed Kim could have possibly been hurt. It saddens me to think those kinds of people exist who would just go into a room and do that to someone."
Jason hugged her a bit harder and replied "She has been arrested and thankfully she didn't succeed with what she was trying to do. Its not your fault." Trini nodded and was going to reply when a woman approached them. "Do you know where I might find a Mark Allen? Is her here?"
Jason let go of Trini and looked at the woman. She was maybe 5 ft. 4 inches and had about medium blond hair. Her blue eyes shined like she had a lifetime of joy. She was beautiful. "Mark is over in the hallway by the patient rooms" he said as he pointed in the general direction "he is making calls but should be right out after he is done."
"Thanks" the woman said as she smiled "I will just sit here and wait for him."
"I can go and get him if you would like" Rocky offered
"No that's okay. With whats going on those phone calls are probably terribly important. I don't want to disturb him until he is done."
A few minutes later Mark finished with the last of the phone calls. He had to let the commander know of what happened and how he handled it. "Oh I wish Emma was here" he thought. She makes the sunshine through even the worst of days. Sighing he started to make his way through to the waiting room to finish the discussion with Kim's old friends. After what had just happened he wasn't sure he made the right choice by allowing them to remain by her. After all didn't what happened in the past split their friendship in the first place? He couldn't fix the broken friendships if all parties weren't all in to help fix it too.
As soon as he entered the waiting room area the first person he saw was the blond woman who was sitting and waiting for him. Looking at her was like looking at his life treasure and upon seeing her his heart filled with such love it was all he could do not to run to her. As soon as he started walking to her the woman saw him. She smiled as she got up and the friends all watched these two people approach each other. It wasn't as if it was something that was out of place even given where they currently were but they saw such love and joy radiating off them that all they could do watch.
As the woman and Mark got close not a word was spoken but it was like as soon as they reached each other they just walked into a kiss. They kissed each other as if they couldn't get enough of each other. As soon as the kiss ended they rested their forehead against each others. "Emma" Mark breathed. "What are you doing here?"
"I saw what happened on the news. I have been following it since I heard that Kim pulled you out and saved your life... again" she said as she tried to hide her smile. "Once I heard that you guys were here I jumped into the car and drove here. I had to see the both of you to make sure you were okay. I was worried about you and Kim. How is she?"
"She is okay for now. They have begun to start treating her so I guess we will find out tomorrow when she wakes up." Mark answered
"Tomorrow? Why not today?" she asked
"They have given her medicine to make her sleep until then as to give her body time to recover some. She might have a long road to recovery but I guess we will see once she wakes up."
Emma looked at Mark and said "If she does have a long way to go she will have us. It wouldn't be the first time I had to nurse one of you back to health." Mark was about to say something when Emma continued "don't worry love, we've got this."
Mark nodded and pulled Emma in for another hug. "I love you" he said
"And I love you" she replied
As the gang watched this they could not help but wonder who this woman was. Just when Jason had decided to introduce himself Mark turned to them and said "Emma these are Kim's old friends and guys this is my wife Emma." Emma turned and looked at them all and said her hi to all of them.
"What are your names" she asked
Mark started going through who all of them were and finally all who was left to identify was Tommy. "Emma" Mark said pointing to Tommy "I want to introduce you to Tommy." Emma eyes got wide as she looked at him and finally she turned to Mark and asked "THE Tommy?"
"Yep, this is him." Mark said
Emma smiled as she walked over to him and hugged him "I am so pleased to meet you" she said.
"It is?" Tommy asked confused
"It is" she confermed "I have always wanted to meet you. You are Kim's picture in the wallet person."
"What is a picture in the wallet person" asked Jason
"A picture in the wallet person is the person whom a person holds dear to their heart. This is especially important for someone who has no one special in their life as the picture they hold is the most special and loved by the person who carries it."
As soon as she finished her explination she turned back to Mark and said "Can I see Kim now."
Mark nodded and they all started walking back to Kim's room.

sorry it took so long to update. I have been battling a lot this year with my own health issues. Please read and review as they always make my day. I promise the next chapter will have more of Kim in it.
