Masamune's P.O.V.

I knew that he wouldn't react well but I never thought he would get so…angry.

The windows rattled in their panes with the energy and electricity that swept through the room. I was just about to reassure my prince that I wouldn't leave him and that everything would be all right when he let out a strangled scream. My eyes, which had been half closed in sorrow, flew open wide, watching as Amaya-sama jerked her hand backwards.

Ritsu's body jerked his back arching off the bed in the most unnatural way. The energy that he had created was now visible, but where it was centered scared me to death. Blue, white, and yellow volts arched over his heart, his stomach, and his head. They disappeared into his skin, through his eyes, his mouth anywhere they could reach to torment my lover more.

His electricity was never meant to be used on him, his body was too fragile, too weak to be able to contain that amount of energy, so I did the only thing I could.

I threw my body onto his, pressing myself onto him firmly, trying desperately to take away his pain. I yelled at the others to get a doctor, anyone to help my prince before I clenched my teeth together to avoid crying out as electricity jumped from my tiny lover to me.

I could hear the others scrambling around the room frantically but I only had eyes for the flushed cheeks and chestnut hair beneath me. His eyes were closed and his face contorted in pain but his body had calmed its spastic motions to twitches every few minutes. I rolled off of him, body trembling with all of the energy I had taken in.

My veins were on fire, the burning that accompanied the energy burst was overwhelming me but I ignored it, in favor of checking on Ritsu. Tears were slowly leaking out of his scrunched eyes and his fists grasped the bed sheets tightly. "…-une." His voice was raw and strangled and filled with so much pain.

I clutched urgently at his hand, disregarding the way my hands quavered and I had to try three times before my grip stayed securely on him, and pulled him to my body.

"Shhh-ch-" I tried, but my teeth chattered. I cursed myself as my frame continued to convulse, while straining to hear if my prince said anything else.

"Masamune." He whimpered quietly. I stiffened for a moment before pulling him even tighter to me and holding his head to my chest and laying gentle kisses over his face.

"I'm here. Its okay, Ritsu. I'm here." I breathed against his ear.

Ristu's P.O.V.

"-kay, Ritsu. I'm here." Someone was whispering in my ear and the earth was shaking, no not the earth, the person who's arms I was in.

I clutched the shirt in front of me, inhaling the familiar scent of sandalwood and peppermint. My eyes opened slowly, wishing with everything I had that what I was seeing wasn't just a dream.

Golden eyes stared imploringly into my own; the body that enveloped me was trembling, or was that my own? I sniffled, only noticing the wetness on my cheeks when large warm hands brushed against my cheeks. "Masamune…?" I dared to breathe his name.

The answering smile I received made my heart flutter and all of the fear I had felt earlier slowly ebbed away. Relief soared through me as I buried my hands in thick, black hair and pulled him down so I could kiss him fully on the lips. The image of his broken and bloodied body flashed before my eyes, and I pulled back sharply, only to run my hands down his torso and find the previously broken appendage tangled with my own legs.

After I was satisfied that he was uninjured, I clutched myself closely to him, completely forgetting about my surroundings and perfectly content to just lie in the comfort of Masamune's arms.

The trembling had stopped altogether now and even though the heartbeat I heard was slightly accelerated; I ignored it in favor of listening to the pleased rumbles coming from Masamune's chest.

"How are they? Does anyone know what happened?" Someone asked, the voice was familiar, the doctor from before?

"They seem to be fine. I don't know what happened. One minute, Ritsu's power was out of control and the next it was being pulled into his body." This voice belonged to my mother I was sure. I cracked open eyes I hadn't known I had closed, to see the two standing in the doorway.

When the two caught my gaze, they walked over. "Hey, sweetheart, how do you feel?" My mother said as she ran a hesitant hand through my hair. It took me a moment to realize why she was so skeptical to touch me before I realized.

"It's okay to touch me now," I said as I looked at her. She let out a confused breath and pat the top of my head.

"Why don't you sit up so Dr. Nowaki can look at you?" She said.

I squirmed in Masamue's grasp, only to have his arms tighten around me. I looked up trying to see why he wouldn't let go of me only to find his eyes shut and his mouth open a little and his breathing even and slow. I smiled a little at his sleeping face; he looked so peaceful compared to his normally tense face, almost childlike.

"I seem to be stuck for the moment." I said, I didn't really want to move anyways.

Dr. Nowaki glanced from Masamune to me. "Was Takano affected as well?"

I raised an eyebrow at him. "Affected?"

"When you got angry earlier and your electricity went haywire, it looked like it was going back into your body. Masamune knew that you couldn't handle that much of it so he jumped on top of you and absorbed some of it as well." My mother said. It took a moment to process what she was talking about before I remembered what had happened in the room with the man before. I had tried to fling a great deal of energy at him but it hadn't worked.

The memory made me shiver but before it could really sink in; arms tightened around me and pulled me closer before a whispered "Mine." was breathed into my ear. I wanted to laugh, it seemed as if he had sensed my fear, even as he slept.

"I-I didn't hurt him did I? Is he okay?" I asked quietly so as not to wake him up.

Dr. Nowaki shook his head. "It looks like he was just exhausted. He'll be fine Ritsu-sama." He smiled warmly before continuing. "Why don't you tell me about what happened?" He asked.

I swallowed thickly and curled deeper into Masamune's arms. "Can you get Kisa and Yukina, please? I think I- I think I remembered something important about who took me." the last was said in one large breath.

Dr. Nowaki and my mother stiffened immediately before both walking out of the room after a curt nod in my direction.

When they left the room, I let out a sigh and stared up at Masamune's slumbering face. My hand automatically went up to stroke the side of his face, smoothing out the worry lines I saw. There were dark circles under his eyes that had gone unnoticed before now. Why hasn't he been sleeping?

My thoughts were interrupted by the growl that rumbled from Masamune's chest, his eyebrows furrowed in anger and his lips peeled back to reveal sharp canines. "No…" he grumbled in his sleep. "Don't leave…" His face contorted with pain and sorrow then, his lips drawn back in grief. "Ritsu…" My breath caught in my throat when I heard my name quiver from his mouth.

I don't know why I did it exactly, I guess just reacting on instinct but I immediately pulled myself so I was level with his face and grasped it gently between my hands. I placed a gentle kiss on his nose before whispering. "I won't leave you, Masamune."

Eyelids fluttered open and I was met with shining golden eyes. "I'm sorry," I said "I didn't mean to wak-" my voice was cut off as Masamune crushed his mouth overtop of mine. His minty taste dominated my senses until he pulled back to look me in the eyes, while I stared at him breathlessly.

"Why-?" I began to ask, but was cut off as a finger brushed over my lips.

"Because I love you." He said, and I just about died from happiness.

I grinned at him, swiping a dark lock of hair away from his mesmerizing eyes before whispering. "I love you too." against warm, red lips. One hand wrapped tightly around my waist while the other played with the ends of my hair. I could feel the mouth against mine pull upwards in a true smile.

"I've wanted to hear you say that again for so long my little prince." Masamune said, still grinning as he placed a particularly wet kiss against my cheek.

I let out an undignified squeal and scrubbed furiously at it. "Aw, Rii-chan, don't wipe away the love!" Yukina said, suddenly appearing over Masamune's shoulder. I jumped in surprise but blushed fiercely when I thought that he had seen our interactions.

Masamune gave a soft laugh and sat us both up abruptly, pulling me onto his lap and nuzzling just behind my ear.

"So you remembered something?" Kisa asked after a moment.

I nodded, playing with Masamune's hands that were entangled with my own, his chin resting lightly on my shoulder. "At first, I thought I was actually there, but then I realized I was having a flashback. That's what's been happening when I black out, I start to remember things." I took a deep breath, tilting my head back to look at Masamune. "The first thing I thought about was you. I had remembered seeing you…on the ground…and there was blood, a lot of it." Masamune's eyes narrowed before he pecked me lightly on the lips.

"That must've happened right after you were taken," My mother spoke up. I blushed, suddenly embarrassed at being so intimate in front of my parent but she only smiled. "We found Masamune near death, trying to crawl home and screaming mad about 'His prince' being taken." She grinned mischievously at Masamune.

I looked back to him, terror hitting me full force with the words 'near death'. "I'm alive." was all he said, patting me on the head and urging me onwards.

"I was chained to a wall," I began, feeling Masamune's chest rumble behind me in anger. "and this guy came in. He had dark, curly hair and there was this one tooth," I struggled to remember which side it was on. "I can't remember which side it was on but it was crooked and all of the rest were straight. He…didn't like it very much when I asked about Masamune, but then he just…just stopped what he was doing and changed completely."

"What do you mean he changed?" Dr. Nowaki asked, eyebrows drawn together.

"He, I don't know the right word, he shook and then he acted like he'd never done anything. It scared me but he released me from the cuffs and when I asked where Masamune was," I clenched his hand tightly "He told me that he was dead and he wouldn't come save me." my voice trembled slightly but I continued. "The rest is kind of a blur. I remember getting really angry and…and he threw me against a wall and the ground and pulled out one of my feathers," I winced when I remembered that pain in particular. "and I went to throw energy at him, he touched here," I pointed to the back of my neck "And I just started to seize up."

During the silence that followed, Masamune's grip had tightened increasingly, pulling me even closer to him. "Tell us what he said exactly." Dr. Nowaki said as he came to stand by our huddled little group.

"He said that when I was 'sleeping' he had a transmitter put in my neck," I rubbed the spot gently, "He said that anytime I was charged he could just push it and it would give me, I think his exact words were 'a taste of my own medicine.'"

"May I see it?" Dr. Nowaki asked and it was a moment before I bent my head forward to expose my nape. Cold fingers ran lightly across my skin. "It's still towards the surface, I can feel it. We should do some x-rays to see how deep it is."

No sooner had the words left his mouth, when yelling took up the silence that had previously occupied the empty hallway.

"Hold that thought," Kisa said as he and Yukina got up to see what was going on.

The door flew open and bounced back after slamming into the wall.

"Ritsu!"

So I just realized that I hit double digits! Yay! I made this one longer than normal (Hopefully) to make up for how long it's been! If you're all still there then I hope you enjoyed this and please review!

Until next time!
