Authors Notes: Sorry for the delay in updating, this chapter was actually pretty challenging to write as we start off from the Specialists view of things. Which is something I have never done in my other stories, so a lot of figuring out how each of the boys would act and respond. Also was a little distracted with some of my other hobbies and the likes. Not to mention replaying all of the Mass Effect games for my other story I am working on, Shepard of Fire.
Akela Victoire – Right now, Bloom herself doesn't even know she is a fairy. But that will change soon, and should be fun to write. Though I have noticed that the Winx Club series is full of contradictions to what is supposed to be establish. For example, Alfea is supposed to be a fairy only school. However Mirta, a witch, is allowed to attend. While she did transform into a fairy once in the series, it was officially stated that it was a mistake on the animators part, from what I read. Faragonda herself is, or rather was, a witch before becoming a hybrid.
As for Bloom being stronger in her fairy form, I am unsure right now. I am currently leaning towards her preferring being a sorceress, as that is how Circe raised her. Though she will no doubt take advantage of her new powers of course.
PierceTheVeil – I need to include Flora and the other girls more into the story. For the most part I been focusing on Bloom and Stella, and just recently Tecna. Not to mention some of the heated debates between Layla and Bloom. But I do promise to start focusing in on some of them more. Especially in the next few chapters. Enjoy!
Bloodshark – I thought some of you may of enjoyed the scouter reference from Dragonball Z. Though while I was tempted, I decided not to include the "Over 9000!" joke. While the reference itself made the chapter rather campy, I feel the run on joke would of just made it corny. So I avoided using any numbers in general. Fortunately, or unfortunately depending how you look at it, it will be the last time I use the reference. It's main point was to take a stab at Layla.
Dynasty of Evil
Chapter 10
Red Fountain
Since Sky had been arrested, things were eerily quiet among the specialist. The only one who had not been affected by the young princes arrest was Riven, in which it was no secret he didn't like the blonde prince from Eraklyon. This of course lead to some to suspect that he had set up the Prince, but the rumors were quickly dispelled before they got big enough to spread beyond the school walls. Brandon however, had been the most devastated by it.
He knew without a shadow of doubt in his mind that someone had set the blonde prince up. Of course he had heard that the girls had come to the conclusion that it was the Trix who had committed the crime and were in the process of finding a way to track them down to recover the stolen book and clear Sky's name. However, it didn't add up for him. Brandon had heard of the three witch sisters reputation for mischief and other things, but this crime seemed too advance from what he had heard the three were capable of. Far too thought out for it to have been them. Then there was Layla's accusations of the new girl Bloom, who had been going under the alias of Viranda. He really didn't know what to make of her suggestion that she may of set Sky up for the crime, it seemed rather outlandish to him. Granted she was there, and seemed interested in the book, though she was looking at everything with interest in the museum.
It just didn't make sense to him. If he believed in Layla's claim, why would Bloom be helping them find the three witch sisters to clear his friends name? He seemed to recall that the young girl was also contacting legal advisers from her own planet to help the young prince out in case the witch sisters got away. This thought made his mind take a different direction. Could it be that Layla was in league with the Trix?
Letting out a frustrated sigh he tried to shake his mind of the thoughts. Why did magic have to make things so confusing half the time. For every ward, spell, or other incantation to make things easier to identify. Five more would pop up to make it more difficult again. Sometimes he wished he was born in a world without magic.
"Come on man, you been brooding ever since he got arrested." Riven said as he entered the room, somewhat startling Brandon.
"What do you want Riven?" He asked, though his tone a little more curt then he had intended.
"Saladin asked me to inform you that the girls are almost finished with the tracking thing that Tecna was making."
"Actually they have already finished it and the three of them are moving in on the Trix as we speak." Came Helia's voice from behind Riven, managing to scare both of the specialist as they never heard him enter.
"What do you mean already moving in?" Brandon asked. "And which three?"
"Exactly what I said." The silver haired specialist replied. "Right now Tecna, Stella, and Bloom are en route to engage the Trix sisters."
"Alone!?"
"It would appear so." Helia stated as he leaned up against the wall, pondering the situation.
"Let me guess, that Bloom girl suggested they leave without telling anyone?" Riven asked.
"Actually, it was Tecna who suggested it." The silver haired specialist responded. "Though it did appear that the three girls were not getting along well with Layla."
"Can't imagine why." Riven replied sarcastically. It seemed that Brandon wasn't the only one that the water fairy was discussing her suspicions with. Though unlike his brown haired companion, he didn't believe a single word she spoke. Simply brushing it off as jealousy.
"I take it she talked to you as well?" Brandon asked, cocking an eyebrow, earning a nod from Riven. "Do you believe her?"
"Not a word." Riven simply answered. "What do you think Helia?"
"I'm not sure." The silver haired specialist responded. "She does seem to guard her secrets very well. As for Layla's accusations against her, some of them do make sense, though not in the manor she is suggesting."
"How do you mean?" The brown haired young man asked.
"For someone who comes from a planet that doesn't have magic, she seems to know an awfully lot about the subject and well versed in many magical abilities. Even some that are way to advance for even the schools teachers."
"Like her teleporting ability." Riven pointed out.
"Exactly." Helia stated, before continuing. "Then there is the issue with the ogre she killed."
"You think she did it knowingly?"
"Yes." The silver haired specialist answered after a breath of silence. "I don't believe she blanked out like she claimed. She killed it. Full aware of her actions."
"But that beast was killed through brute force, not magic." Brandon pointed out, remembering that the ogre had it's head smashed in.
"And that is what concerns me about the girl." Helia replied, letting silence once again fall over the three of them.
Alfea
To say that Layla was infuriated with not only Bloom, but also Tecna now; would have been a severe understatement. What made it worse, was that the technology fairy had pulled that little stunt with no prodding from Bloom She wasn't weak, she knew that much. The water fairy was positive she was even stronger then Stella, no matter what that little trinket of theirs said. While fuming, she passed through the dormitories of the school, pausing as she neared the room Bloom shared with Flora. A mischievous idea filling her mind.
"Let's see what she is hiding." Layla grinned to herself. Taking a quick look around to make sure no one was watching, she ducked into the room.
Scanning the double room, the water fairy was quickly able to determine which side was Bloom's. Mainly because of all the plants and stuff on the one side of the room that signaled it was Flora's. Moving over to the bed that belonged to the young sorceress, Layla quickly began to check around it. Trying her best not to disturb anything so it wouldn't be obvious someone had gone through the girls stuff. After checking around the bed, she let out a frustrated sigh. She couldn't find anything under the girls mattress or sheets.
Getting up, she moved over to the dresser and began to rummage through the top drawer, before moving down to the lower drawers. Still only finding small trinkets, maybe a book here and there, but nothing that really stood out as being forbidden. Closing the drawer she sighed once again, gazing into the mirror that sat on top of the dresser.
As she looked over it, she saw small markings along the frame of it, which looked like arcane symbols. Though she couldn't tell. Shaking her head, her eyes fell to a small black book that lay next to the mirror. It was obvious not a school issued book, it looked like it had come from a private collection. Reaching out, she picked it up and began to scan through it's contents.
This was it. This is what she was looking for. The book in her hands wasn't even allowed within the school. It was an advanced witch spell book. Instructions for rituals, potions, spells, and more. This was exactly what the water fairy needed to prove to the others of what type of person Bloom really was.
"What are you doing?" A voice asked from the doorway, causing the water fairy to jump, dropping the book in the process. Spinning around, she was greeted with a rather upset Flora.
"N-nothing." Layla stammered, not sure how she was going to explain herself. Getting caught red handed wasn't exactly something she had planned for. "I was just..."
"You were going through Bloom's stuff." Flora accused rather bluntly. Knowing that she had been caught, the water fairy only nodded her head before bending down and picking up the book she dropped. Seeing the book that was in the water fairies hands, Flora's breath caught in her throat as her eyes widened slightly in shock.
"But I found something that she has been hiding." Layla said as she lifted the book, with a smile. "She must of forgotten to hide it before she left."
"Layla." Flora began. "Your suspicions of Bloom are starting to go too far. Sneaking into her room to look through her stuff."
"But Flora, this book..."
"That book happens to be mine." The nature fairy answered as she took it from Layla, trying her best not to sound upset with the water fairy.
"Yours?" Layla stammered, completely caught off guard. "But its a..."
"Witch book, yes." Flora replied.
"But why do you have it?" The water fairy asked. "It's forbidden in the school."
"First of all, it has a lot of useful information and spells regarding plants and other fauna." The nature fairy explained. "Secondly, Ms. Faragonda knows I have it and has given me permission to keep it. Now please leave. I should report your actions to Ms. Faragonda, but I won't."
"Thank you Flora." Layla nodded as she moved towards the door. Completely distraught that the one time she had the chance to dig up something against Bloom, it backfired. She would have to find some other way to expose her.
"I guess I should go inform Ms. Faragonda that Bloom, Tecna, and Stella have already left then." The water fairy commented.
Additional Authors Notes: Finally, it's done. Like I said, I am terribly sorry about the delay in this long over due update, and that it wasn't as long as I would have liked. Though like I also said, I am not familiar with writing the views of the boys in the series, as I normally focus on the girls. Hope I did alright.
Now, current poll standings:
Tecna – 8
Stella – 8
Musa – 6
Flora – 6
Layla – 1
Really getting down to the wire, both Musa and Flora ares tarting to catch the leaders. Though still sometime before one of them begins to live a life of crime. So still plenty of time to cast your votes. As always, feel free to leave your thoughts and comments in the reviews!
