I failed to mention that the song that was throughout the last chapter is a song called I don't Speak Human by Omnia. A great group! Now here is the next chapter to Sakura's Spell!
They all had decided that they would leave the following day. Sakura had told Rei what was going on and she raced off to get ready. No way was she going to be left out of finding a long lost brother. Sakura sat on her bedroom floor, trying to make sure she had every thing she would need for the land of snow. She didn't have whole lot of cold gear because it didn't often get cold enough for actual snow during the winter in Kohnoa. She glanced up as she heard someone step to her door, Itachi stood leaning on the door frame.
"They say they enjoyed the hearty breakfast." Itachi says quietly.
"Well why didn't they come tell me themselves?" Sakura asks standing up and dusting off her hands.
"They all got involved in your books now. You may have practitioners by tomorrow that can work the Seven Chakras as well as you and I can."
"Oh, well goodness…" She looks at Itachi.
"Most of them hadn't had a home cooked meal in years. So I'd say you have some fans." He said as he stepped into her bedroom to walk across and sit on her bed silently.
"You have everything you need?" he adds as she stood contemplating the almost compliment she received from the other members of Akatsuki who temporarily resided at her home.
"Not by a long shot, most everything I have for extreme cold weather is to small now." She holds up the winter outfit she had used when she had previously visited the land of snow when they had escorted Princess Koyuki home to reclaim her birthright as ruler of snow. Itachi blinked slowly, suppressing a smirk noticing exactly how much she had grown, and the places she had grown in at.
"What?" Sakura asked looking at the half smirk look on his face.
"Yup, you've grown." Itachi quickly says and barely dodges the outfit being thrown at him.
"What's that supposed to mean?" She growls slightly.
"It means just as I said." He said watching her. He gets up to walk over to examine the items she had, yes mostly to small. There weren't any shops that supplied snow gear in the hidden village itself, he contemplated what they would have to do.
"I may just have to purchase some cold weather gear when we get further north… Now what was that comment about? Was that something to the effect of me gaining weight?" she yelped as she was pushed to the ground and Itachi straddled her.
"What?!" Itachi put a hand over her mouth and glared into her eyes. The glare was angry… not mean just angry and a slight bit of pity on top of it.
"Never make comments about yourself like that… ever. You have put yourself down too much since your parents had died." Itachi said this quietly leaning towards her in a way that meant to get his point across. Sakura stared at him silently for a minute angry at him for knocking her to the floor, angry that he was right, and angry at herself for saying such things about herself. Her vision went out of focus, and slowly blurred. Tears pricked the edges of her eyes, and quickly picked up. They rolled down the side of her head and down her cheeks hitting Itachi's hand that still covered her mouth. Itachi jerked his hand away from her face like the tears stung when they hit his hand. He jumped up slightly again and checked her over for any kind of wounds from the fall, then it hit him. This wasn't a physical wound… This was an emotional wound… Something he wasn't sure he knew how to fix.
"Hey what happened to Sakura?" Itachi looked up and seen Deidara and Sasori standing at the door of her bedroom. Deidara had a genuine look of concern on his face as he squatted down and patted the top of her head as she continued to lay there and cry silently. Seeing more people watching her cry was a little too much and she just covered her face with her arms, unable to stop crying. Trying to keep her sobs silent she tried to roll to the side, but with Itachi pinning her made the act rather difficult.
"This week is the week in which her parents had died. Since our appearance into her life again, she had been unable to grieve." Simple, to the point and hopefully an answer that is sufficient enough to get the two artistic missing nin to leave. Sure enough Sasori is the first to turn to leave, shortly Deidara follows after, after another quick pat to Sakura's head and a quick feel better as he takes off down the hall. Itachi breaths a silent sigh of relief. Leaning over he pushes the door shut, and gets off the top of Sakura whom was still laying on the floor crying silently rather quickly being unable to control her sobs. Itachi sat cross legged on the floor near her unsure what to do. From his sitting position he leans over gently taking one of her arms and pulling her into a sitting position. He tugs her into his lap and cradles her there, her head leaning on his chest she turns into it. She wraps her arms around his neck and continues to cry into his chest. Itachi stiffens up slightly as Sakura wrapped her arms around his neck burying her face into his chest. He quickly relaxes, and tightens his hold around her into a hug rocking her slightly from where he sat. Like he used to when they were younger… Nostalgia rolled over him hard and it struck him so hard he froze, realizing… that, well… he…
"It will be ok, you don't have to in the dark anymore, I'll be here to get you through…" Itachi barely mumbled. Sakura's breath hitched slightly at his words. Her tears slowed down but still continued to roll down her cheeks. Itachi looked down at the top of her head and slowly lowered his lips to the top of her head. He took a deep breath and openly sighed. He didn't know how to make things better, how to make these emotional scars that Sakura has to heal faster. He wasn't even sure how to heal his own emotional scars… He put his hand under her chin and tilted her head up towards him, she looked at him through her tears. The look on his face was no longer anger or pity, but his own genuine sorrow. The knowledge of what really happened and why the clan had been destroyed. Without him realizing what was happening he had pressed his lips to hers, he carefully caressed her cheek with his hand. Brushing her tears away with his thumb. Itachi wrapped his other arm tighter around her waist pulling her close to him. She didn't stop him so he took that as a cue to continue, and he did. Sakura was unsure as to what exactly was going on, but in her sorrow any comfort that she was given, she would take, unintentionally she reciprocated, and she tightened her arms around his neck. Slowly it started to progress into something more, the soft touching, the caressing, the kisses that Sakura could feel Itachi placing across her lips and eyes and any other feature closely available to him. Itachi shifted and carefully stood up moving her to her bed. He carefully laid her down things starting to heat up more. The door handle rattled slightly as it was turned.
"Sakura I think your snow gear is going to need to be gotten once we leave Kohnoa…" Rei looked up after opening the door. Sakura was laying on her side facing away from the door, Itachi sitting at the edge of the bed holding one knee. Hiding his face, to conceal the inevitable blush that was dusting his cheeks slightly.
"Is everything ok?" Rei asked looking at the two of them. She watched as Itachi got up to walk to the door.
"Yes. Everything is fine, it seems the anniversary of her parent's death has finally caught up to her. She just needs some time to herself…" Rei nodded looking at Sakura and following Itachi down the hallway.
"She'll be fine by tonight… If that's what you are wondering Rei." Itachi mumbles as he continues to march down the stairs. " Rei?"
"Yea?" She said stopping with Itachi at the base of the stairs.
"What kind of things does… she like?"
"In terms of what? Wait.. are you thinking about her birthday?" A slight nod from Itachi, he picked slightly at his fingernails waiting for an answer. What an odd thing for him to do. Something he hadn't done since he was a child.
" Well, she likes different kinds of herbs and plants, different kinds of stones to add to her ever expanding collection that she can use within the seven chakras… Different blessed holy waters from other kinds of faiths… Lets see here…" Upon hearing the varying things each of the other missing nin had perked up listening to what Itachi was asking about. Soon a short discussion among the five insued Kisame would find these holy waters, Deidara would find the different kinds of stones, and Sasori would look for the herbs… Somehow had been turned into a group thank you project. Itachi still didn't know what he was going to do. Rei motioned for Itachi to follow her into the kitchen.
"Itachi, she would be happy with whatever you wanted to get her. As long as it means something to you to give her something." Itachi nods quietly. Back upstairs Sakura still lays there. More confused as ever by what had just transpired, she touched her lips that felt like they were bruised slightly. The feeling he put in it. The effort, what he was communicating… did he mean what he had said? Eventually ready to face everyone she went down stairs making a fantastic meal for dinner before they were going to leave. Having packed everything that she could pack, she stepped outside with the other five late that night.
"We all ready?" Sakura looked at everyone in turn, each nodding. As she lead the way into the night each in turn followed behind her, heading for the land of snow.
And here is the end of this chapter! Hope everyone is still enjoying please comment! R&R tell me what I can do to make it even better!
