Chapter Ten-Rage Unleased
(Minami's bedroom)
The green-haired girl just now got home after her hectic day.
'Who would have thought there are people like that around,' thought Minami, scratching her chin.
The very notion of Espiers living around them was a bit farfetched. But, her experience would prove otherwise.
'Well got my answer as to why Takuto-san was so secretive,' Minami sighed.
She could understand it, if she had something like that. She would be cautious of people. As for her feelings for him, she still can call him a friend. He didn't do anything bad by keeping a secret like that.
"So I need to be careful," Minami muttered, knowing that this group might be too much for her handle alone.
It was shown how much they had an advantage over her.
This made the green-haired girl feel a bit…useless. Usually she didn't have too much trouble with taking on challenges.
"No point in worrying too much about that," Minami muttered. "I'll have to do what I can do to help my friends."
That statement helped to calm Minami's nerves. Looking at the time, she noticed it about time for her to sleep. She was getting tried.
"I'll get some sleep as it been a tiring day," Minami muttered while getting pajamas to sleep in.
It was simple red and green plaid color. As soon she was done changing, Minami laid in her bed, falling asleep.
(A hallway)
Keima stiffened a yawn, he had finished with reports and was going to get some needed sleep. He stopped at seeing a young man, a little older him.
The young man had a simple white and black dress shirt, with black slacks.
"What are you do doing here?" Keima asked the person, calmly as possible. He knows what he is able of doing.
"Easy Keima," replied the person. "I'm getting an update on that Tsukasa girl."
Keima glared at guy, not liking this.
"Glare at me all you want, but I have orders to help her," he stated firmly.
"So, Tendo wanted you to help. Is he crazy or did you take an interest, Gin," Keima growled out.
"You know as well as me that Tendo wants that girl. He doesn't care how, besides."
"Besides what," Keima replied with steel.
"How much anger, hate, and distrust does she really hold for her sister," replied Gin with a smirk.
"I'm sure it's enough for you to do your trick," Keima spat back, getting the hidden meaning.
Gin only smirked while walking away, knowing that Keima couldn't do anything. Not if he wanted to get into trouble with their boss.
Keima rumbled at the thought of that person messing around with Tsukasa. It was bad enough that he had to deal with Busujima! If that guy didn't appear things might be have gone smoother with Tsukasa.
He really did find her attractive, even they weren't that capable. He still would have tried.
The teen only went to his own room, his mood fowl at was about to happen.
(The next day-Tsukasa's room)
The ribbon wearing teen was getting ready for the day. It was still the weekend, so her sister asked if they could spend the day together. It didn't seem like a bad thing to do so why was she so…uneasy about it.
Tsukasa already changed her clothes for this outing. She wasn't sure about going with her older sister, but wasn't going to miss this chance. This might help them repair there strained relationship.
It was only the two of them today.
'I better stop stalling,' thought Tsukasa, leaving her room.
Not long after, she could see Kagami ready to go.
"I'm ready Onee-chan," Tsukasa said to her sister.
Kagami nodded with a smile, "I'm also ready, so let's have some fun."
Tsukasa couldn't help, but smile herself.
"Take care out there," Miki called from the living room.
"We will," both the sisters replied while walking out the door.
As for Miki, she took a deep breath, hoping that her feeling of dread would shrink with it.
'Please be safe my daughters,' Miki thought with clasped hands. She wanted them to make up before they do anything terrible to each other.
(A gym)
"Ah!" screamed a falling Konata.
*Thud*
"Ouch," Konata muttered on the ground.
Lucky for the otaku, the mats softened her fall. Only her pride was hurt.
Konata got up while dusting off yellow shorts with a red and white t-shirt. They were a scuffed up, but were an old pair she had. She glared at her calm opponent.
"Why are so much better than me?" Konata asked Kenshin, who like her was dressed in simple clothes.
With what happened yesterday, she wanted to see how she would fair in fight. Let's say she wasn't doing too badly.
Lucky for them, they were able to find a safe place to practice.
"You could have caught that move, but you let yourself get rusty," Kenshin stated calmly with crossed arms.
Konata sweat-dropped at reply, she didn't really train that much anymore. It was now showing with this spar.
"Should have expected that," Konata muttered while rubbing the back of head.
She wasn't one looking a tad bit shocked. Both Miyuki and Yutaka were there watching.
"Are you okay, Onee-chan?" asked a concerned Yutaka.
"I'm fine Yu-chan, only my pride at being a martial artist is hurt," Konata replied back to her cousin.
Yutaka let out a breath of relief with Miyuki.
"I'm surprised, Izumi-san is usually so good at sports. Why is she having a hard time?" Miyuki asked quietly.
Konata did sweat-drop at question a little.
"She has the knowledge and body, but her execution is a bit slow," Kenshin answered.
Miyuki did nod at the assent. From what the meganekko can see that did fit it. Her friend didn't seem to care about her training.
"Are you trying to make me feel small?" Konata asked sadly.
"No!" Miyuki screamed, waving her hands. "It's just well…."
"I'm not trying to harsh Konata-san," Kenshin spoke up. "I'm pointing out your flaws so you can fix them."
Konata stared at dark-haired teen, it seemed he was being honest with her.
"I'm sorry, it just I've kind of prided myself at being a decent martial artist. So, like I said. My pride is hurt, but I'm also worried about what can happen if, I'm not ready," Konata replied honestly.
"It happens to everyone. Believe me, I've had my share of roughness," Kenshin commented rather sagely.
Konata raised an eyebrow, she then thought about that scar she seen.
'It would seem that Tsukasa isn't the only one with a secretive past,' thought Konata with a hum. There were clues of an event that did happen to him and it was big.
"What's with that smirk?" Kenshin asked the otaku, flatly. He knows that even if Konata didn't have book smarts, she was crafty.
That smirk screams trouble.
"Oh it nothing you need to worry," Konata waved a hand. "Let's get back to training."
"Okay," Kenshin replied, still leery of Konata.
The two went back to their spar.
As for their watchers, they did winch a little at seeing the otaku being thrown again.
'I hope Onee-chan is going to okay,' thought Yutaka, concerned for her cousin. But she relaxed a little, seeing that Kenshin wasn't really hurting her.
She could understand her cousin wanting to ready herself. They didn't know what to expect.
Sadly, they were going to get a bad surprise soon.
(With Tsukasa and Kagami)
The sisters just finished with getting some ice cream. So far it has been fun, but there was tension in the air. They really haven't spoken about their real problem.
Tsukasa looked around, not seeing anyone that could hear them.
"Onee-chan," Tsukasa muttered to Kagami.
Kagami looked at her sister." Yes Tsukasa."
"I want to know why you are so…jealous of me." Tsukasa asked after a few seconds.
"Why do you want to know that?" Kagami questioned. "I don't see why it's a big deal. It's not I've have to be jealous of my sister having something that I can't get," Kagami stated, bitterly.
Tsukasa was hurt from the reply, but her own frustration was bubbling up.
"Then you know how it feels to be put in the background," Tsukasa spat to her sister.
Kagami was taken back at the reply, but felt her temper rise.
"Ooh, so it's my fault that you didn't do so well at school," Kagami growled while crossing her arms.
Tsukasa glared while trying to keep her power under control.
"That's not what I'm talking about," Tsukasa muttered.
"Then what are you talking about, Tsukasa?" Kagami questioned. "I don't see your problem."
Tsukasa felt like she was slapped.
As for Kagami, she did see her statement did hurt her sister, but…she didn't care.
"Well, well, well here I thought this would be harder, but this is perfect," a voice taunted the sisters.
Both the Hiiragis looked to see who said that. They saw Gin smirking at them. Dressed the same outfit, but with a white fedora.
'Oh no,' thought Kagami, knowing that this might be one of those guys.
Tsukasa readied for anything from this person. There was no telling what this person could do to them.
Gin simply walked closer to the twins, still smirking.
"I can see why it so difficult with a sister like that," Gin said to Tsukasa with a sigh.
Kagami felt her blood boiling from this taunt.
Tsukasa was a little lost, not sure who he was talking about.
"Tsukasa," Kagami said. "He's talking about us."
Tsukasa stiffened a little at being corrected by her sister. She let out a nervous chuckle.
"Man, get it together, Tsukasa," Kagami muttered under her breath.
Tsukasa glared at her older sister, she didn't have to mean about it.
'Excellent, just like in the report,' thought Gin, knowing how it was between the two sisters.
All the better for him.
Tsukasa and Kagami stopped there glaring to face there visitor.
"What do what?" Kagami asked Gin, tightly.
Gin huffed at Kagami, which caused the teen to growl.
"I see," Gin started. "You're so used to being the center of attention aren't you?"
Kagami was confused at the question, lost at such a question.
"After all, you have a foil," Gin mocked Kagami.
Kagami felt her blood boil at the reply. It made it seem like she…used her sister for her own gain!
"I hit a nerve," Gin continued to mock Kagami.
Tsukasa didn't say anything, not sure on what to say.
"Listen here, mister," Kagami growled. "I don't use my sister as a foil! Why do you think I would do that?!"
Gin smirked at Kagami's challenge, all too easy.
"Easy Kagami," Gin replied.
Kagami felt a shiver run down her spine.
"Every time you get praised, they pay attention only to you. Not your poor sister," Gin stated.
Kagami was forced to shallow a bitter pill. She never did pay much attention to what happened to Tsukasa during those moments, but she wasn't to take this laying down.
"I've never encouraged that," Kagami stated fiercely. "I never wanted to leave Tsukasa hanging like that."
Tsukasa did know that was right on the mark, as Kagami didn't mean to ignore her. So why did it seem so…hollow to her?
"I'm to believe that," Gin replied with one eye closed, looking at Kagami.
"It's the truth," Kagami stated fiercely, trying to make her point.
However, it seemed more to reassure herself.
"Ooh, but I wasn't talking about strangers," Gin stated to Kagami, who gulped in realization.
"Who I'm talking about is your friends," Gin replied with a smirk.
Kagami sweated at hearing this, knowing the times they ignored Tsukasa. Even if it wasn't intended.
"N-no I didn't mean…"
"I'm sorry," Gin mocked. "I should have said they were only your friends, never Tsukasa-san's friends."
Kagami shivered at jab, it sounded like she was only used her sister to make friends.
"T-that's not truth," Kagami muttered. "I didn't do anything like that."
Tsukasa was torn at statements made. She did make friends with Konata before Kagami even meet her, but what about after that. It would seem Konata at times didn't even notice her, only Kagami and Miyuki.
"It seems your more valuable sister believes me," Gin said to Kagami with thumb at Tsukasa.
Kagami looked to see that Tsukasa did have her head lowered, thinking about what was said.
"Tsukasa, it's…not true," Kagami muttered, hoping this wasn't making things worse than they were.
Tsukasa looked at Kagami with unreadable expression.
'Time to go in for the kill,' thought Gin, knowing it was time to strike.
Tsukasa looked at Gin. As soon as the ribbon wearing girl looked into Gins eyes. She was in a dark room.
"Where am I?" Tsukasa questioned while looking around.
It wasn't long before she knew that this was her mind. Instantly, she put up mental barriers, from her teachings with mom. As this could be a mental attack of sorts.
She did sense a presence coming at her from behind.
"How, I should have blocked anyone entering here!" Tsukasa replied, concerned that this happened.
She tried to get rid of the intruder, but was failing!
"No," Tsukasa muttered scared.
She summoned up her courage and turned around, readying for fight the person who entered her mind.
Footsteps were heard, causing Tsukasa to gulp.
It wasn't long before she saw who it was.
"What! It can't be…!"
Tsukasa couldn't say anymore, because the person who she saw is…herself!
This Tsukasa looked like her, but seemed meaner.
"Is this a trick?" Tsukasa asked quietly.
The other Tsukasa glared at her meek self, "No, I'm real you dumb airhead."
Tsukasa winched at hearing the reply that voice that was filled with unbridled rage.
"T-then who are you?" Tsukasa asked, shivering at such a reply.
"That's easy, Baka," spat out the other Tsukasa while pointing at Tsukasa. "I'm the one who has been suppressed by you! I'm your rage!"
Tsukasa fell back in fright hearing this, as soon she fell. The room broke into pieces.
(With Kagami)
"Tsukasa!" screamed Kagami, seeing her sister fall to ground.
Instantly, Kagami was by her fallen sister's side.
"Tsukasa, please wake up!" Kagami shook her sister gently, hoping to wake her up.
But she didn't respond to Kagami, only staying comatose. Kagami stopped shaking her sister and glared at Gin.
"What have you done to her?!" Kagami demanded at the smirking man.
"I've only released her restraints," Gin answered.
"What?" a lost Kagami asked.
"It's nothing that a useless sister should worry about," Gin taunted.
Kagami growled at taunt, but was more worried about her sister. She didn't know what to do, plus what if he did that to her.
But the man only turned to leave. Kagami stayed on guard.
"Please, you're not worth the effort," he said to Kagami. "I've did my job and with a little luck. Tsukasa-san will realize how much time she is wasting being with you."
With that said, Gin kept walking away with smirk. He even whistled a tune.
Kagami didn't know what do to help her sister. She wasn't helpful at all!
"Damn it all to hell!" Kagami screamed to the heavens.
(Later-Hiiragi living room)
All the members of Hiiragi house were there with Kagami and Tsukasa.
They were watching Miki with her hand on Tsukasa's forehead. She was lying down on a futon, still comatose.
Matsuri was pacing around room, clearly worried about her younger sister. She was the one who picked up her younger sisters, as she was driving close to them with the family car.
"Matsuri, please sit down," Inori said to her sister.
Matsuri glared at her older sister, "I can't! I'm so…uneasy like you! How can you be so damn calm, Inori?! Aren't you worried that our sister is out cold!"
Inori growled while standing up, "I am worried, but your pacing is driving me crazy!"
"Please, both of you stop this," Tadao ordered to both of his daughters.
Both Matsuri and Inori looked at their father, who was looking at them firmly.
The young woman looked away, ashamed.
"I'm sorry dad, it's just…"
"I know," Tadao replied softly to Matsuri. "I'm also worried about Tsukasa. We have to wait for your mother to find out what is wrong with her."
Both Matsuri and Inori sat down.
As for Kagami, she was sitting close, clearly concerned for sister.
'Tsukasa,' thought Kagami with guilt.
Miki opened her eyes and took her hand off Tsukasa's forehead.
"Miki, did you find what is wrong?" Tadao asked his wife.
Miki look confused, rubbing her chin. "I don't know what really happened to her."
"What do you mean mom?" asked Inori, wanting answers.
"I didn't find anybody in Tsukasa's mind, but it's like she's fragmented," Miki answered the best she could.
"Fragmented?" asked a confused Matsuri.
"Yes," Miki nodded. "Her psychic is there, but it's not intact. Like pieces of a puzzle broken up."
"So you're telling us that Tsukasa's mind is not together," Kagami trying to put it together.
"I think that's right. I think Tsukasa is trying to put the pieces together right now, but there is a problem," Miki stated very seriously.
"A problem, what kind of problem?" asked Matsuri, not sure about this stuff. But knows it was bad from the way her mom spoke.
"Tsukasa's personally might change," Miki answered. "If she doesn't put it in the right way and with what I sensed. It could be anything we aren't familiar with."
This brought a sense of dread to the Hiiragis, even though Tsukasa was a bit flaky. She was very kind and brightened up their home in way. If that were to change…they didn't know how to deal with it.
The group heard there door open with someone calling out for coming in.
"We're in here," Kagami called out to her friends. She called them after getting home.
It wasn't long before she could see Konata, Miyuki, Kenshin, Yutaka, and Takuto.
Hitoshi was on the way, he was caught in the middle of doing something for his family.
"Kagami, we're here," a concerned Konata said almost out of breath as she ran here with everyone.
They were so worried for the ribbon wearing girl. They didn't know the details, but it sounded pretty bad.
"What happened?" a frowning Kenshin asked Kagami very firmly.
Kagami felt her blood boil at the question. So much that she was going to snap at teen, but someone spoke before that could happen.
"Kagami and Tsukasa ran into a stranger some time ago. We aren't sure at what he did, but it seem Tsukasa's personally is broken," Inori answered the question, seeing Kagami's glare.
"You mean, someone broke Tsukasa's mind!" screamed Konata with her hands on her face in fear.
"Yes that's what we think," Miki answered this time.
"Oh my," Miyuki muttered scared for her friend.
Both Yutaka and Takuro were too shocked to speak.
Kenshin lowered his head and muttered, "If that Keima did this, I'm going to kick that butt so hard."
"It wasn't Keima," Kagami stated. "It was someone else."
There was a veil silence for a few seconds.
"So what's our plan of attack?" asked Konata, hoping for a solution.
"We don't have one Konata," Kagami replied. "What can we do is something, I don't know."
Konata couldn't help, but slam a fist into her palm, "Darn it all, this is the pits!"
The group looked down at their useless at the present situation.
Suddenly, it was faint, but a soft moan came from Tsukasa.
"Tsukasa, honey can you hear me?" Miki asked her comatose daughter, hoping for good news.
"My…mother," Tsukasa responded to Miki's voice, weakly.
Miki beamed with everyone at hearing the reply.
"Tsukasa, please come back," Kagami pleaded to her sister.
Tsukasa frowned at hearing the voice, causing everyone to be confused.
"Tsukasa, what's wrong?" Kagami asked again, hoping that talking to her sister would help her revive.
Tsukasa looked enraged at hearing Kagami's voice.
"Man Kagami," commented Matsuri. "It would seem you got on Tsukasa's bad side."
Kagami lightly glared at her older sister's teasing.
"Baka Matsuri," Tsukasa spoke out, shocking everyone even more.
"What is going on?" Konata questioned the events taking place.
She didn't know if this was because of what happened to her or other forces were at work.
"The smart mouth otaku who pretends to be my friend," Tsukasa stated with malice.
Konata jumped back in fright at hearing such…anger. She would have never thought Tsukasa could say anything like that about her.
"Not good," Miki muttered, fully concerned at hearing this.
"Mom, what is going on?" a scared Inori asked her mother calmly as possible. Which was hard, as a cold shiver was running down her spine right this moment.
"Tsukasa's personally is changing, and it's becoming more vicious," Miki stated completely serious.
There cries of shock from everyone, knowing that Tsukasa will be different then they knew.
"Isn't there anything we can do?!" Konata shouted, desperate to do something. "Can't we, just dive into her mind and fix this!"
Kagami glared at her frantic friend, "Konata, this isn't an anime! I don't think going into her mind is possible. I don't have the power to do that. Do you?"
Konata wanted to rebuke her friend, but she was right.
"I can," Miki purposefully stated.
Everyone stared at the woman, wanting an explanation.
"I can do it, but at great risk," Miki explained. "If I merge with Tsukasa's conscious, I might be able to fix the damage."
Tadao became very afraid, knowing what his wife was going to do.
"Miki, you can't!" he exclaimed.
Miki looked at her husband, understanding, "I know dear, but this needs to be done."
This caused a lot of fear with everyone else.
"Mom," Inori stared at her mother. "What's got dad so worried?" she asked firmly.
"The mind diving that I'm about to do is dangerous. So dangerous that I might get put into a coma by Tsukasa," Miki answered the question while looking at her oldest daughter.
Inori's covered her mouth in shock. She wasn't the only one.
"Then, how did dad know the dangers of you doing this, mom?" asked Matsuri.
"I did it once with your father and my grandmother. And both of them resisted me to a certain extent. With how Tsukasa is right now that may be doubled," Miki explained of when she did it.
This didn't sound like a good plan, but with what seemed to be going on with Tsukasa.
It might be the only thing they could do to help her get back to normal.
As for Kagami, the words of Gin kept coming back to haunt her. Even her own guilt was eating at her. All the times that she could have helped, this was the one time she couldn't.
Those dark feelings kept festering in her. All of the stress kept eating at her, Intel she looked at Kenshin.
"This is your fault," Kagami muttered with a glare at the teen.
Even though low, it was still heard by everyone in the room.
"Kagami," Konata muttered to her irate friend, knowing that things were about to explode right now.
This was not the time to point fingers at anyone.
"What?" Kenshin asked Kagami very calmly.
Kagami snapped at the question, "I said, this all your damn fault!"
The Hiiragi's were shocked at hearing such an outburst.
Miki was about to speak to her daughter, hoping to stop her tide before anymore was said.
"My fault why do you think that?" questioned a very calm Kenshin, even though it was said calmly. It carried an icy tone laced with a glare.
"Because if you didn't appear. My sister wouldn't be getting crazy ideas! She wouldn't be so…distant from me!" Kagami ranted to the teen.
"Oh no," muttered a scared Konata, not knowing how Kenshin was going to react to this.
If it was her, she would be mad at such an accusation.
"Distant from you," stated Kenshin, glaring at Kagami.
"Yes," Kagami growled the answer. "This whole mess started when you appeared! If you didn't show up, we wouldn't have to deal with this mess!"
That outburst caused gasps of shock from Kagami's friends and family, as this was out character for the twin ponytailed girl to blame anyone like this.
"Are you done with your blame game," Kenshin stated coldly with hair spiking.
Kagami did become a little spooked noticing this.
"Nee-san," Takuro spoke quietly, trying to calm his brother.
Miki looking at second youngest offspring about ready to step in, if needed.
Kagami stared at Kenshin and replied, "So you're going to place the blame on me."
"It seems that you're forgetting your one who's been ignoring Tsukasa," Kenshin stated tightly. "Or did you forget that?"
Kagami felt the slap of reality hitting her hard. Knowing she did do that to her sister.
"I don't need to be told that by you," Kagami muttered. "I only wanted to…"
"You only wanted to kill your jealously, but instead. You've blame me for your problems!" Kenshin stated, enraged at Kagami's callousness of the situation.
Kagami looked at Kenshin and stiffened in fright. She could see Kenshin's hair sticking up, he was activing his own power.
Even her friends looked frightened at this.
"Always blaming me…never listening," Kenshin muttered to himself, seemly thinking about something that was enraging him.
"Nee-san," Takuto spoke out.
Kenshin looked at his younger brother firmly.
"She isn't like Karin," he stated firmly.
Kenshin took a deep breath and turned to leave for the backyard. His hair went back to normal.
"I'll be outside cooling my head," was all that he said.
"Karin," Kagami muttered the name, confused by it. That sounded like a female, if so what did it mean to Kenshin.
However, that was stopped by Takuto's glare. She winched at seeing it.
"I know your upset by Tsukasa-san's condition, but you didn't have to blame Nee-san," he stated coldly. "He cares for her much more then he realizes or he would like to ament."
Kagami was about question the young teen, but stopped at seeing Konata shake her head.
As for Takuto, he simply took a seat. Hoping that things won't explode again.
"Kagami, I think you pushed the envelope enough for now," she replied to her friend, hoping that tempers won't flare again.
Even Miyuki looked at her friend, hoping she won't fly off the handle again.
As for Yutaka, she was worried that Kagami would exploded again.
Kagami looked away, ashamed at her actions. She even notice how the two seemed getting closer together. Maybe Kenshin did have a temper, but it seemed her like moms or sisters. He got angry at a person hurting people needlessly.
'I've…goofed up,' Kagami thought, knowing how much she messed up.
"I better get back to helping Tsukasa," Miki said to everyone, knowing that precious time was wasting.
There was nodding to Miki's reply. They have to help the ribbon wearing girl.
Kagami looked at her mom, who was placing her hands on Tsukasa's head. She sighed at being helpless. After all, she couldn't go into Tsukasa's head.
Or could she?
"Mom," Kagami called out to Miki.
"Yes," Miki answered back confused as to why her daughter called to her. This wasn't the time for that.
"I was wondering if you…can you act as bridge between people's thoughts?" Kagami asked while looking at her mother.
Miki raised an eyebrow. "I think so, but why would y…no! You can't be thinking of that Kagami?!" she screamed out if fear what her daughter is thinking.
Everyone else was confused at the answer, but Konata stiffened.
"Kagami, you're not thinking of going in there!" Konata exclaimed to her friend, knowing that Kagami wanted to help her sister, but to do this…
"I know," Kagami replied. "But I can't just stand by and do nothing! It was my fault that Tsukasa ended up in this state, if only I didn't let my jealously get in way. Tsukasa probably would have fought whatever that guy did to her better. I cannot just…leave things as they are," she muttered with a lone tear running down her cheek.
Each of her friends looked sad at such a reply. This shows how much Kagami wanted to make things right.
As for Miki, she was conflicted on what to do. Sure she could do that, but at what cost. She could see the resolve in her daughter's eyes.
"I'm against this, but," Miki started to say. "I'll act as bridge between you and Tsukasa, Kagami."
"Thank you, mom!" exclaimed Kagami, smiling with a nod.
"Be warned Kagami. When you're in there, be extremely carefully. I don't know what state Tsukasa's mind is. It could be calm or a raging storm in there. Even I would have trouble staying safe. In way, it's like fighting a Kami. Because it is her mind," Miki warned Kagami, dead serious about the peril that waited her.
"I understand mom," Kagami nodded. "I'm ready to do everything save Tsukasa," she stated frimly. She wasn't going to back down from this.
Tadao wanted to stop this but…he couldn't. This had to be done to save his youngest.
"Be safe Hiiragi-sempei," Takuto said to Kagami, with nod.
"Good luck, Kagami-san," Miyuki said to her friend, hoping for the best.
"Yeah, be careful in there Kagami," Konata also wished her friend luck.
Kagami only nodded, ready to take the plunge.
"Lay your head by Tsukasa, Kagami," Miki instructed.
Kagami nodded and did that. Soon she was in position waiting to get started.
Miki placed her hands on each of her daughter's foreheads. She took a deep breath to focus her power.
"Once I start this. I wouldn't be able to guide you or talk to you, Kagami. So you're on your own, as I'm keeping your consciousness in there," Miki stated, ready to send Kagami's psychic into Tsukasa.
"Go for it mom," was all that Kagami said.
Miki closed her eyes, along with Kagami doing the same. She felt like falling asleep.
The rest of group stayed quiet, knowing that Miki needed to focus.
'I hope you don't get hurt Kagami," Konata thought worried what she was getting into.
They would only know if she was successful is when Kagami comes back.
(With Kagami)
Kagami still had her eyes shut, not knowing if she was in Tsukasa's mind or not.
"Hiiragi," called out a familiar voice.
Kagami opened her eyes. She looked confused at seeing her…classroom?
"Good, I thought you were sleeping there," stated Nanako with crossed arms.
Kagami titled her head at seeing the teacher, but didn't say anything.
Nanako turned around to blackboard and started her lecture.
'Why am I here?' thought Kagami. 'This is my class or is it?'
Kagami looked around seeing it was Nanako's classroom, but none of her usual classmates were there.
She only saw people from Tsukasa's class. Even Miyuki and Konata were there like normal.
'I better play along,' thought Kagami, focusing on the lecture.
*Ring*
"Okay everyone, time for lunch," Nanako called out to group of students, who appreciated it.
"Man, Tsukasa that was long," Konata said to Kagami, seemly mistaking her for Tsukasa.
"Right," Kagami slowly nodded, confused at this.
Miyuki seemed to fixing her desk for lunch like normal. As for Konata, she joined in to.
'I better play along,' thought Kagami, also getting her lunch that she had.
It wasn't long before Kagami walked in.
'What the hell?!' thought a wide eye Kagami, at seeing herself.
This Kagami looked exactly like her!
"Just in time, Kagami," Konata waved to the other teen.
"Nice to see you Kagami-san," Miyuki greeted with smile.
The other Kagami returned the smile while walking toward them with lunch in hand.
"Are you okay, Tsukasa?" the other Kagami asked, seeing something wrong with her.
'Why are you there?!' Kagami thought franticly. 'I'm Kagami not you! For now, I better act like Tsukasa.'
"Sorry Onee-chan," Kagami replied sheepishly. "I was lost in thought for a moment there."
The other Kagami sighed. "Typical Tsukasa, so anyway, let's eat."
"Oh, Kagami's ready to eat like normal," Konata taunted the second Kagami with a smirk.
As for the second Kagami, she huffed while looking away.
'It would seem that I'm in Tsukasa's shoes right now,' thought the real Kagami at the events taking place.
Soon the four teens were eating and chatting like any other day. But, the real Kagami was being overlooked.
She gulled at this, but tried to keep it in.
After a few more minutes…she couldn't take it anymore.
"Enough of this!" screamed Kagami, raising her arms. She even stood up and pushed the desk away.
The group looked shocked at seeing such a reaction.
"You don't like being on the other side," a cold female voice stated.
That reply made everything in the room stop.
"Huh?" Kagami questioned at hearing this familiar voice.
Soon the classroom broke apart, leaving Kagami alone in a dark room.
Kagami looked around, seeing no one there.
"What, did someone do this," Kagami questioned the events that took place. "Mom didn't say anyone should be here did Tsukasa do this?"
"Nice," taunted the voice. "You got it, and here I thought. I would have to spell it out for you."
Kagami growled at the taunts, but stayed calm as possible.
Soon, Tsukasa appeared before Kagami. Kagami raised an eyebrow at seeing her. She looked the same, but seemed different.
"Tsukasa, what was up with that?" Kagami calmly asked her sister.
Tsukasa huffed. "Why should I explain anything to you," she replied, not caring about Kagami's question.
"Tsukasa, this has to stop," Kagami said slowly. "Everyone is worried about you."
Tsukasa glared at Kagami.
Kagami then found out what was different about her sister. It was her eyes. The once blue-violet eyes that they shared were light red.
"I'm to believe that," Tsukasa replied back. "How do I know you only want your foil back my dear sister."
Kagami could feel the rage coming off her. She had never heard such rage from Tsukasa.
'Has she been hiding this much rage?' Kagami thought at seeing all anger directed at her.
"Tsukasa," Kagami begin. "I want my kind younger sister back. I know that I've been a pain lately. But please come back to us Tsukasa," she pleaded.
Tsukasa's eyes seemed to switch between blue and red, showing that a conflict was taking place.
Kagami smiled. 'I did it! Things should go back to normal.'
Tsukasa suddenly stiffened. She glared hard at Kagami, causing her to step back.
"You had to blame everyone, but yourself," Tsukasa muttered tightly, finding something that enraged her.
Kagami's eyes widened, knowing what she meant. "Tsukasa, I know it was wrong of me to blame, Busujima. I was just so mad at myself for everything."
Kagami's plead seem to work, but Tsukasa's eyes turned a full red.
"Oh no," Kagami muttered, knowing this was a bad sign.
"I don't buy it," Tsukasa coldly stated. "You're lying, wanting me to be weak again."
"No!" Kagami screamed. "I don't want that! I want you-"
"Shut up!" Tsukasa interrupted. "I'm not listening to you anymore! I've had it with your damn orders, talking to me like I don't understand! That ends today!"
As soon that was said by Tsukasa, Kagami was shoved back hard.
The twin-pony tailed girl landed on all fours, trying to catch her breath. That shove was harder than anything she had ever felt before.
"So, your mind is strong," Tsukasa commented. "If it wasn't you would have been hurt more, but that won't save you."
Kagami looked at Tsukasa with fear. A chill ran down her spine, seeing Tsukasa collecting telekinetic power into a ball.
"Have a nice nap, Kagami. For when you wake up from it, I'll be gone from your life," Tsukasa stated very coldly, about ready to launch the sphere.
Kagami could only close her eyes, knowing there wasn't anything she could do.
Tsukasa launched the ball at Kagami.
Kagami did hear what sounded like someone jumping in front of her. Slowly opening her eyes, she could see another Tsukasa.
"What the heck is this?" Kagami muttered out seeing this Tsukasa.
This one was dressed in shining suit of armor like a heroic knight? She was holding a palm in front of her.
"You," the first Tsukasa growled. "Why do you have interrupt me again?!"
The knight Tsukasa glared while lowering her hand. "Thou shouldn't not harm our dear sister."
"Dear sister, dear sister my ribbon!" the first Tsukasa exclaimed. "How about all times she put us in the background! Along with every damn degrading remark?!"
Knight Tsukasa looked shaken by the reply. "She didn't mean harm. She is our noble sister and I can't let thou hurt her, rage."
Rage Tsukasa's eyes glowed bright. "Fine then, we'll do this the old fashioned way!"
Rage Tsukasa sent a blast of telekinetic energy at Knight Tsukasa. Who blocked with her own. The two Tsukasa moved around while throwing their own blast at each other.
"This is nuts. What have I walked into," Kagami said, confused at seeing Tsukasa fighting herself.
"Ma, ma those two are at it again," a soft voice huffed out.
Kagami turned around, knowing that was Tsukasa's voice, but it was sensual.
It was indeed another Tsukasa, but dressed in a silk Chinese's dress. It was red with roses, it had a slit on each side of the legs, show how smooth they were. Tsukasa didn't seem to have anything under the dress, as her legs were showing. Her hair was in it usual style, but had more luster.
Kagami blushed. "Tsukasa, why are wearing that?!"
Sensual Tsukasa looked at Kagami funny. "What are talking about Kagami? I usually dress like this."
Kagami stiffened, this Tsukasa's voice had tone that was out of place on her innocent sister.
Sensual Tsukasa sighed. "Will they stop this soon?"
Kagami looked confused at hearing this change.
"This so frustrating! Will I ever get a chance to be Ken-kun arms again?!"
"What?" a sweat-dropping Kagami muttered in disbelief.
Sensual Tsukasa was about to say something again, but she made a barrier around herself.
Kagami was then fling away from this Tsukasa. Because of her strong mind or luck, she didn't get hurt much.
"Darn it! Will this craziness over end!" Kagami screamed out at everything going on. She stood up with a growl at being jerked around.
It was then Kagami felt a tug on her skirt. Curiously, she looked to see another Tsukasa, but this one looked younger. She looked about seven, dressed in a cute white bunny outfit, compete with ears and a cotton tail.
"Onee-chan, please can you play with me?" the child Tsukasa asked Kagami with pleading eyes.
Kagami developed a throbbing vein on her head. "You want me to play with you?"
Child Tsukasa nodded viciously. "Please, I have no one to play with."
"I will not play with you!" Kagami shouted, frustrated. "I want to you to pull yourself together!"
Child Tsukasa's eyes watered.
"Oh no," Kagami muttered, at losing her temper with her sister again.
"Waahh! Onee-chan is being mean to me again!" child Tsukasa cried while running away from Kagami.
"Wait Tsukasa! I'm sorry!" Kagami reached out her hand to stop her.
Child Tsukasa didn't listen, she kept running from Kagami. Soon she run into another Tsukasa, this one had a dress like their mothers. She even carried the same aura as her.
"There, there little one it's okay," Mother Tsukasa cooed to her child form while picking her up.
Child Tsukasa only buried her head into mother Tsukasa's chest, still sobbing.
"Shh it will alright," mother Tsukasa muttered to calm the child while rubbing her back.
Kagami looked down, ashamed at what she did.
"You have to keep messing up, don't you Kagami," a cold voice stated behind.
Kagami looked behind to see Rage Tsukasa, but she had one blue-violet eye with the other being red. Kagami slowly backed away from rage.
"Or you going to say this was our fault," Rage Tsukasa stated coldly.
"I…" Kagami didn't know what to say. Ever since this mess begin, things have become complicated.
"It doesn't matter either way. I'm leaving this family, as they never cared about me," Rage Tsukasa spat out, snapping Kagami out of it.
"You can't Tsukasa! We love you, all of us!" Kagami declared with a hand on her chest.
Rage Tsukasa cupped her hands and Kagami was raised into the air. Kagami grunted in pain as she was being squeezed softly.
"You expect me to believe that?" Rage Tsukasa replied. "Ever since my power returned you've been ignoring me, and don't trust me. Even now, when you screamed at my innocent fragment you've only shown you only cared for yourself!"
Kagami did look ashamed at that. Had she gotten so used to Tsukasa being in background while she stayed in front?
'I can't dawdle anymore! I've got to…speak frankly!' Kagami thought on what to do.
"Your right Tsukasa," Kagami said to Tsukasa sadly.
Rage Tsukasa raised an eyebrow at hearing this.
"I really didn't pay attention to you, during those times. I've got used to being praised so much. I'm really sorry, Tsukasa. I know it was mean of me to ignore you to, but I wanted to kill my jealously before talking to you about it. That shot me in the foot," Kagami replied softly.
Kagami was lowered to ground, but she didn't seem to notice.
"As for what happened between me and Busujima. I was completely wrong, it was so easy to blame him because he seemed so…I don't know. It's confusing Tsukasa," Kagami admitted.
"I'm also sorry, Onee-chan," a softer, kinder voice replied to Kagami.
Kagami's eyes widened and looked to Tsukasa, looking like her normal self.
"Tsukasa, is that really you?" Kagami asked.
Tsukasa tilted her head. "I think so Onee-chan, but I'm not completely sure if I am."
Kagami giggled, but walked over to Tsukasa and hugged her. "Yep, you're back to normal."
Tsukasa laughed nervously while returning the hug. Soon, the two broke the hug.
"Tsukasa," Kagami started to say. "Are fully back together?"
Tsukasa hummed in thought. For a few seconds she answered. "I'm mainly together, but I still need a little time to keep it that way."
Kagami look puzzled. "You mean that you can became like you were before?"
Tsukasa nodded. "Yes, my anger is still here. It will never be completely gone, but it has subsided. But I want to be the, me before any of this happened."
"I'm glad," Kagami muttered, relief that the Tsukasa that they were familiar with was coming back.
"Onee-chan," Tsukasa said. "Why don't you go back? I'll fine right now, so there's no reason for you to be here."
Kagami wanted to stay and help, but felt it was best. "Okay, I'll go. We'll be waiting for you Tsukasa."
Tsukasa smiled with a nod.
Kagami didn't know how to leave, but she started disappearing. "I guess mom knows it over."
Tsukasa nodded at Kagami, agreeing with her. Soon Kagami was gone, leaving the ribbon wearing teen alone.
Tsukasa sighed. "I better start fixing this mess."
Tsukasa's outfit changed into a simpler outfit. She even had a pink bandanna on her head.
"Now to find my sensual side," Tsukasa muttered with a blush, knowing what that side of her spoke about. She was still walking around somewhere.
When Kagami was being held by her. The other fragments that contained her innocence and motherly fragments fused into her. Even during the fight between her rage and duty parts, she was coming together. It was only that her rage was getting ahead in places, as it was pretty strong from all the frustration that was taking place.
Tsukasa walked off to find her last part of herself. Then she would have to make sure nothing else was wrong with her psychic. Luckily, it seemed that only her personally was affected, not her motor skills or body's functions.
(Hiiragi living room)
Kagami opened her eyes, seeing everyone watching her concerned. She could see her mom leaning on Tadao, completely spent.
"Why is everyone looking at me?" Kagami asked weakly, she felt drained.
"You were grunting and moving around like you were in pain," Inori answered her younger sister, concerned about what happened to her.
Kagami nodded, knowing that she did fought with Tsukasa in there. So, it wouldn't have to farfetched for her to make noise during it. She slowly sat up.
Her friends helped her, which Kagami thanked them for.
"What happened in there, Kagami?" Matsuri asked. "Did you make Tsukasa mad or something?"
Kagami stiffened.
"Kagami," Konata said. "You really made her mad in there, didn't you?"
Kagami sighed. "You don't know the half of it, Konata."
Kagami then told her story, how she was in there classroom. Meeting the various Tsukasas. Finished with her tale, everyone was awed.
"I didn't think Tsukasa's anger would be that strong," Konata muttered in disbelief at hearing such a thing. Her friend didn't seem like that kind of person.
"It shows how much she held her anger back," Miki commented softly at her youngest quiet strength.
"I guess, we never noticed it," Matsuri muttered softy at the comment.
Everyone nodded in agreement. As for Kagami, she now noticed Kenshin was still missing. Along with Takuro and Yukata.
"Is Busujima still here, and where is his younger brother, and Yutaka?" Kagami asked everyone.
"Yes, Kagami-san. He's still outside, Kagami-san. Takuro-san, and Yutaka-san are with him," Miyuki answered.
Kagami looked a little down at the reply, but understood.
"What's with the long face, Kagami?" Konata asked. "You want to talk to him again?"
Kagami nodded. "Yes, I need to apologize to him."
Konata smiled with everyone.
"So our tsundere wants to apologize. You may have changed your character, Kagami," Konata teased her friend.
Kagami blushed while looking away. "Can it Konata! It was wrong of me to blame him for this mess."
Konata only chuckled at Kagami's act.
As for Matsuri, she seemed to notice that Kagami was a little off. At least with their new friends.
"Hey, Kagami," Matsuri called to her younger sister.
"Yes, Matsuri," Kagami replied while looking at her.
"I know you were jealous of Tsukasa, but what's up with the spite to Kenshin? I know you usually don't start that sort of thing with people, so why him?" Matsuri asked, curious about such a thing.
Sure Kagami could be rough with people at times, but not like this.
Kagami shrugged. "That I'm a little unsure of."
"What do you mean, Kagami?" Inori asked this time.
Everyone also listened in on what Kagami has to say.
Kagami sighed. "Well you see, I have strange feelings when I'm around Busujima."
Konata was about reply to this, but Kagami glared at her.
"Not like that Konata," Konata kept quiet. "It's like I'm uneasy around him, along with Shizumi, and that Akiko girl. I don't know way," Kagami answered the best she could.
"An uneasy feeling," Matsuri replied confused as such an answer.
She wasn't alone in that confusion, but her parents understood what was going on with Kagami.
"I guess we should have expected this," Tadao stated.
"We should have," Miki agreed, knowing what her husband was talking about.
"Okay," Matsuri jumped in. "What are you talking about mom, dad?" she questioned her parents.
Even Kagami and Inori were curious are what their parents were talking about.
"This feeling you have Kagami," Tadao said. "Is it like you're uneasy or can't help, but feel something is wrong?"
Kagami's eyes widened. "How, that's what I feel around Busujima, and Shizumi!"
Everyone else besides the Hiiragi's parents looked shocked.
"Um…what is going?" Inori asked trying to make sense of this.
"You see," Miki begin explaining. "Your dad has an ability or sorts. It's different from me and Tsukasa's power. He can sense an abnormal when close to them, but it's not accurate. You might have it Kagami."
"Kagami has a power too," Konata muttered in awe at this.
Kagami looked down, taking this information. All the uneasy feelings that she had, this made sense. So she wasn't crazy.
"I finally have an answer to my problem," Kagami muttered, relieved at finding what was up her strange feelings.
"That's the reason why you were so hostile towards Busujima and Shizumi?" Konata asked her friend.
"Part of it with Busujima, Konata," Kagami answered.
Konata flatly looked at Kagami. "That's right, because you thought he was going to hurt Tsukasa."
Kagami sighed. "I guess so, it's confusing. I've gotten used to Tsukasa being in the background or depending on me so much. That I might have felt threatened by him, or I didn't trust Tsukasa enough."
Konata look's softened at Kagami's heartfelt confession. It would seem things might have gotten better for the Hiiragi twins.
A soft moan was heard.
Everyone looked to see Tsukasa was the one who did it. They held their breath, hoping it was the same Tsukasa they know and loved.
Tsukasa looked at Kagami, and Konata. She smiled at the two.
"I'm back Kona-Chan, Onee-chan," she softly spoke.
Konata didn't waste any time, she hugged the ribbon wearing teen. "It worked! We have the good old Tsukasa back!"
Tsukasa giggled a little at her friend's outburst, but was glad to be back.
"Hey, don't hog our sister," Matsuri pouted, wanting to see if Tsukasa was okay.
Konata looked at Matsuri with her tongue sticking out.
"Why you," Matsuri muttered, about ready to pounce on the otaku.
Konata did however moved off to the side. "Time for you get some sisterly love, Tsukasa," she teased.
"Kona-chan," a blushing Tsukasa muttered, uneasy at the reply.
As for Matsuri and Inori, they embraced there younger sister. Both saying how worried they were about. All the while, Tsukasa replying she was fine.
Miki giggled at the scene. Happy to have her youngest daughter back to normal, but she knows it will only be a matter of time, before this moment of peace is broken.
It would seem this organization is only going to up the ante.
To be continued.
