Chapter 9 part 1

ShadowFrost: Heya guys! I-beg-at-your-feet-for-forgiveness because I didn't update for a while but that was because I was caught up in hoomework since middle school started and each weekend I've been lazy as a result.

Random Fan: BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! *throws tomato*

ShadowFrost:*dodges tomato* HEY I KNOW YOU! YOU'RE MY SOCIAL SCIENCE TEACHER'S STUDENT ASSISTANT! *pulls out rifle* FACE MY WRATH! *pulls trigger* MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA BWAHAHAHAH!

Lindsey: *rolls eyes* Just read the friggen story. ShadowFrost doesn't own Ninjago, and never will.

Lindsey's POV

The alarm clock went off, causing me to jump out of bed and startle Alexis. Alexis yawned," I'm guessing it's time to leave?" I nodded and said," Nya programmed the ship to fly near the caves of despair overnight so we only have a short walk."

~~ LE TIME SKIP! ~~~

Soon everyone was on the ground walking towards the caves of despair. While we were walking I noticed that Alexis and Lloyd were keeping an awkward distance between each other. The group was filled with so much tension that it could be cut with a knife.

" Lindsey, I am curious as to why you and your teammates need weapons." Zane stated calmly breaking the silence. "Our weapons help us control our powers better. For example, when I shoot one of my arrows at something," Lindsey used her bow and took an arrow off of her back and then shot it at a tree. The arrow instantly covered the spot it hit the tree with ice. Lindsey continued," They cover the spot I hit with ice." "And I," Alexis started," Can charge my throwing knives up with electricity and electrocute people." Alexis took one of her knives off of her leather sash and charged it with electricity. "With Daniel's help I can make quick sand, and I can make sand dunes with my spear." Quinn said quietly and held her spear. All was quiet for a few moments before Kai just had to break it. "What about Sydney?" He asked. "What about her?" Lindsey replied sharply. "What can she do with her whip?" "I'd rather not talk about it." I said. "Why?" He asked. I rolled my eyes," Are you always this annoying!" "Yes." Kai said sarcastically. I rolled my eyes again.

"Shut-up." Alexis said ," I think were almost there." Cole nodded and said," Yeah. Alexis is right. "

After a few more steps we saw a dusty gorge with people who had eerie purple or blue eyes with weapons walking around. "Okay, Jay, Quinn. Go and make some kind of distraction and while their focusing on you we'll sneak past them." Cole whispered in a commanding voice. They both nodded and sauntered off.

Jay's POV

When Quinn and I were right where we wanted all of the guards to come, we stepped out of the shadows and I yelled," Hey, demons! You're so ugly I bet your moms don't like you!" They glared at us and one in particular screeched," That's one of the Guardians and one of the ninja who are helping them! Attack!" Suddenly about four guards were running toward me and five guards were running towards Quinn. Quickly, I took out my elemental sword and said," Bring it on."

Meanwhile

Zane's POV

While all the guards were distracted the rest of us ran to the cave. Before, I entered the cave I looked back at Quinn. Ever since the Guardians started living with us I felt a strange feeling towards Quinn that I couldn't identify. It was like the feeling I had when my father died... but happier. "I hope she'll be okay." I thought. "Zane, come on we have to go!" Lindsey told me. I hesitated. "If you're wondering if Quinn will be okay, she'll be fine." "How did you know?" " I'll tell you later, come on. We have to catch up to the others." Lindsey said. I nodded and ran with her.

We ran through many (FAHKING) corridors (Sorry! I couldn't help putting a pewdiepie reference there!), until we reached a large space in the cave. Oddly enough, there weren't any guards in the cave as far as I could tell.

"It doesn't feel right over here in this gigantic clearing." Alexis commented while shivering. "I think we should hurry up and leave this area," Lloyd said," I feel like this space is supposed to be here for people to fight." Kai and I nodded. " Come on. Let's just continue." Cole said while he and Lindsey started walking towards the tunnel that led further into the cave. But right before we could walk through the entrance, two people darted in front of us and blocked our way. "Sydney?!" Lindsey gasped.

Quinn's POV

"Augh!" I gritted my teeth as I felt the sword cut into my shoulder. I glared at the possessed women who had cut me before using my earth elemental spear to crush her with a boulder. "I'm sorry I did this to you, random-innocent-person." I thought. I quickly turned around to face the next two people who were attacking me, a strong muscular man who was with a swift woman... I smacked them both in the head so hard with my spear, that their heads both started bleeding and they slumped to the ground. I had killed two more innocent people. I never wanted to kill the people, I just had to. A tear dribbled down my face. "Why did the Oracle choose me if I can't even kill someone without worrying about them? Like if they had a family. A wife? A son? Maybe even grandchildren." I thought. But deep inside I know why he chose me. "You have a kind, forgiving heart Quinn. That's why I have chosen you." The Oracle's words from when I first became a guardian, echo in my ears.

"Quinn! Are you okay?! You're bleeding!" Jay's voice snapped me out of my thoughts and I looked up at him. Jay's eyes widened. "And you're crying too!" He exclaimed. I wiped a tear off of my cheek," I'm fine. Just having some old memories come back to me. What about you? You have a cut right across your forehead." "Yeah!" Jay grinned,"And there's no way I'm going to let Sydney heal it when we rescue her! I refuse to get my head burned!" I chuckled. "Ok, but seriously, you should let me have a look at that cut. I don't think Nya would thank me if your head is bleeding when you get back." I told him with a serious expression. "Okay. But what about your shoulder?" He asked. I winced, my shoulder hurt more then I would let in. "I'll tend to it later." I replied. Jay nodded," Okay."

Kai's POV

I couldn't believe my eyes. After all, Sydney was right in front of me. I had to force myself to not ru to her because I know she would kill me if she had the chance.

"Sydney!" Lindsey gasped and looked at the other women standing next to her," Hey! You're one of the women who were chasing Cole after he sang his song at the karaoke place!" "No wonder that woman looks so familiar." I thought. Sydney sneered at us while she whipped out her steel whip and set it ablaze with blue fire,"You aren't going anywhere until you've beaten us." "Sydney, this isn't yourself speaking! It's the shadowling's influence! I know it!" Lindsey shouted, I could tell that she was desperately try to help Sydney get the shadowling out of her. Sydney glared at her and spat," Everyone always thought you were better than me! Even since elementary! I had straight A's, but you always got straight A+'s without even struggling! I took many art classes, but when we were in the same classes together everyone in the class would only praise your artwork! YOU TOOK EVERYTHING I HAD AWAY FROM ME BECAUSE YOU WERE SO PERFECT!" Lindsey looked at Sydney. "That's not true," Lindsey said with pure hurt in her eyes," I always tho-" "Enough talk! Come on Anne! Let's fight!" Sydney yelled and attacked me while Anne attacked Zane...
