I AM SOOO SOOO SOOOO SORRRYYYYYYYY! I HAVEN'T UPDATED IN SOOOO LONG, I had some family stuff and had no time to update. Sorry to everyone who is reading my story and thank you all for being patient and stuff, you people are awesome! Enjoy. :)

No POV
Mai blinked a few times and and stood up turning around with out even acknowledging Naru's presence, which surprised everyone in the room. She turned around and inspected the damage she had caused and then walked to where Ayako and Bou San were, she looked them in the eyes and they saw a massive amount of regret, pain and suffering in her once happy eyes, it shook them greatly.
"I apologise for the inconvenience and damage I have caused to your home and wish that I could repay you in some way." Mai said.
What Mai said sent thoughts running through Naru's brain and his usual smirk appeared on his face, he met his twins approving and also grinning face and then looked at Mai (who he had blocked from his mind)
"Oh no that's o-" Ayako started before Naru interrupted.
"Then you can come and work for me."
"WHAT?!" Asked everyone but Gene who was still grinning.
"Naru you know I can't." Mai said.
"Let me finnish. I won't register your name as an employee and all your pay will be transferred into Ayako and Bou sans pay until you have payed of the debt and then if you wish to continue working for me, Bou San and Ayako can pay you your money so it won't raise suspicion." Naru stated.
Everyone stared at him in shock.
~later that day~
Masako, Yasu, John and Madoka all walked into the office and were surprised to find Mai at her old desk doing filing and rushing around to make tea for Naru. They stopped and stared at her wondering why she was doing such things. Gene saw the stares and started snickering to himself before walking over and saying,
"Since your all confused I shall explain, the great and ALMIGHTLY Oliver Davis has come up with a brilliant plan in which to keep Mai for himself." At this Bou San and Ayako burst out laughing and Madoka high fived Yasu, Masako looked extremely annoyed and John looked very confused and curious. Mai blushed slightly and turned to them all explaining her debt and how she got it.
"Wow Mai an entire room of furniture, your PK is probably greater than Naru's." Yasu commented.
Lin opened his door and came out after that statement. Lin turned and looked at Yasu, which was highly unusual, he then shocked everyone by walking up and sitting in the chair opposite Yasu and Mai. "You are right Yasuhara it does appear that Mai contains more PK than Oliver, however that is incredibly strange and dangerous at that. And Mai do you care to explain the extent of your PK." Lin stated.
"Well... Uhh um... The amount you saw this morning...itwasonlyaboutaquaterofmypower." Mai said nervously. everyone stared at her confusedly other than Yasu who had his mouth hanging agape.
"Mai you moved an entire rooms worth of furniture and it's ONLY A QUARTER OF YOUR POWER!?"
Everyone in the room had wide eyes and was staring at Mai like she had three heads, including Masako and Lin.
"Yeah, but it's not like I can't control it and it's not like I want it anyway..." Mai trailed of as she looked down at her hands with her bangs covering her face. Everyone in the room looked at one another with a guilty and saddened look, at that moment Naru opened his door and walked into the room. "Ok now that everyone is here we can finally start talking about the case that we will be attending to later this afternoon." Naru stated, catching everyone's attention. "The case, as you know, is based just to the side of an old building construction site that was cancelled due to unnatural events happening, such as people being pushed off of high places, cuts and stitches appearing randomly on workers and other macabre things..."Naru trailed off. "Anyway we have a history of an old man living in the house and the grandchildren and mother went missing and never turned up. The grandfather moved here from Australia about seven years ago with his daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren and was left in the house, the family went to live in Tokyo and went back to visit him just before they went missing. The daughters name was Clarrisa Downs age 38 her husbands name was James Downs age 40 and they had a daughter named Tabitha Downs age 6 and a son named Chase Downs age 8. Husband was away on a business trip when they disappeared. He committed suicide a year after they went missing and the grandfather died of natural causes, in his sleep. So for this case there is no one we can talk to due to the fact no one knows anything that happened, so it's a figure it out on site excersize. This will be a highly dangerous case so anyone who wants to back out should do so now." Naru finnished. After Naru had finnished explaining the details no one said they would back out and he noticed that Mai had been writing on a price of paper the whole way through his description of the case, this annoyed Naru slightly but he kept up his usual stoic mask. "They did not disappear Naru." Everyone looked to Mai ,who was still writing on her paper, in shock.
"And how do you know this hmm? Were you there when it happened? No so you don't actually..." Stated Masako but was cut of by Gene.
"How do you know that Mai-chan?"
"Because of the astral walking and I was not there Masako but at the same time I was, and this should explain everything I Know about what happened." Mai held out the price of paper to Lin who read it and paled, 'this must be something serious if it can make Lin pale' is what everyone but Mai and Lin were thinking, Lin then passed it to Naru and everyone else read over his shoulder. After Naru finnished reading he looked at Mai with concern shown in his eyes and asked "Mai did you experience this in first person of the grandchild or ..." Naru couldn't continue his sentence as he thought about the what Mai had seen.
"No, I did not wittiness this in first person at all luckily."
Everyone sighed in relief.
"I wonder why you got that dream without even knowing about the case or even visiting the site. And I wonder why Masako or I got the dream?" Gene said curiously.
"My power as a medium increased greatly over the years and is completely natural. My adopted 'parents' don't know I am a medium..." Mai was cut off by Ayako.
"THOSE SCUM DONT EVEN DESERVE TO BE CALLED YOUR ADOPTED PARENTS! WHO WOULD TREAT ANY CHILD LIKE A TEST SUBJECT! I am so voting for a new government in the upcoming election." Ayako started off yelling and angry but mumbled the last part.
"I agree with Ayako." Bou San stated along with John, Madoka and LIN!?
"Well even though I shouldn't care less, no one should be treated like you were." Masako said behind her kimono sleeve. Mai looked at her in surprise, then got up and hugged her, Masako was surprised and just stood there awkwardly in the brunette's embrace.
~even later that day~
Mai's POV
Great once again I was stuck in the van with the silent Naru and the even more silent Lin. Sigh. Even though I used to hate the silence, I've grown somewhat accustomed to it, there isn't much you can talk about when your by yourself. Anyway Lin, surprisingly, broke the silence for the first time ever.
"So Mai, how are you so far? I mean it has only been a day or so since we found you and umm I was just curious as to how you are adjusting to your old life again."
"I'm doing fine thanks Lin San but as for the latter part of your question my life can never go back to how it was originally, to many people are after me and the peace and innocence of those times can never be restored." I stated with a sad calmness.
Naru stared at me for a second and I could hear him thinking how much I had changed.
"Of course I have changed Naru I have grown older and anyone would change after what I have been through." I stated in a monotone voice.
I could see the surprise, guilt and sadness that displayed itself in his eyes. I stared out the window and the van returned to silence, I watched the trees wizz by and the occasional bird flitter around in the tree tops. A couple of hours later we arrived at a small house with a half finnished apartment block behind it. The house was the exact one from my dream, with the wooden deck, old wooden beams supporting the two story wooden house. There was a rickety old fence around the house and the stair up to the deck were broken in several places. The others soon arrived behind us, chatting merrily until Naru yelled at them to get their asses moving. I walked through the little gate along with Gene, I felt suddenly nauseas and my head ached, I felt someone watching me and Gene and looked up into the second story window. There watching us was an old man with white hair, black eyes and a wide ear to ear grin plastered on his face. I stood still and saw Gene do the same, he was looking at the same place, we then heard something and the face dissapeared as the voice became louder.
"You shall be my next puppets and you shall be my greatest performers yet...hahaha" a croaky yet strong male voice sounded. The last thing I remember was Gene collapsing, me dropping what I was carrying and then black.
Haha another chapter conquered I HOPE YOU LIKED IT! I kept some of my promise and made my story a lot longer. Thanks for being patient and IM REALLLLLLLLLYYYYYYY SOOORRRRRRRRRYYY THAT I DIDNT UPDATE FASTER! \(ToT)/
