CHAPTER 10

Sabrina has been busy with being a new mommy and adjusting to her new life with Patrick, Emma and Ethan. As well as planning her and Patrick's wedding.

Felix: "Girl, are you ready?" He asks anxiously awaiting to see the dress he picked for her that she fell in love with the minute she saw it.

Sabrina: "I'm to fat in this dress Fe! I still have baby weight. Maybe we should wait a while more to have the wedding. I look like an oompa loompa!" She says coming out of the bedroom showing off the dress that she looks beautiful in despite what she says.

Felix: "Bri, stop! You look fantastic! Patrick won't be able to take his eyes off you! You my dear," he spins her around, making her laugh, "are stunning!"

Sabrina: "Thanks Fe! I needed that. I do adore the dress," she says spinning herself around.

Felix: "See! I always know what's best for my girl!"

Sabrina: "Yes, you do!" She says kissing his cheek. "I've been a little down lately for some reason."

Felix: "Really? You're marrying the man of your dreams! Again!" He points out jokingly. "I thought you'd be thrilled!?"

Sabrina: "Oh, I am! I am so in love with Patrick and Emma and Ethan, I don't know what it is, maybe I'm just missing my mom and wish she was here to celebrate this happy time with me."

Felix: " I understand," he says solemnly. "Every girl wants their mom at their wedding. I'm not her, but, I'm here."

Sabrina: "You are and I love you for that!" She kisses him again.

Felix: "All done," he says taking in the measurements for alterations he has still to finish. "Now, go take the dress off and let me make it perfect!"

Sabrina: "You're the best!"

A little while later Sabrina emerges in comfy clothes and Ethan...giving him his bottle.

Sabrina: "Wanna say hi to your Godson?" She winks.

Felix: "I'd love to!" He says taking him from her along with the bottle. "Hey little guy! How are you? Wow, he's changed since the last time I saw him."

Sabrina: "He has, hasn't he?" She smiles. "I know we've already been down this route, but I have something very important to ask you."

Felix: "Yea, and that is?" He smiles.

Sabrina: "Would you be my "Man of Honor," again? I can't think of anyone else who fits the job more than my best friend."

Felix: "Well, Ethan, when your mommy puts it that way, how can I resist! I'd love to Bri, you know that!" He kisses her.

Sabrina: Great! That's done! Now on to the next order of business," she laughs.

Patrick is finishing his shift at the hospital when he runs into Sam.

Sam: "Hey, she says literally bumping into her friend.

Patrick: "Just the person I wanted to see! How are things?"

Sam: "Hectic! I'm in the middle of planning Danny's 2nd birthday party and dealing with all of this Nina stuff . You and your family are invited by the way! Invites are in the mail!" She smiles.

Patrick: "Fantastic! Do you have a minute to spare?"

Sam: "For you, I have 5 minutes!" They both laugh "What's on your mind?"

Patrick: "Well, you know Sabrina and I are engaged again! Right?"

Sam: "I do! I couldn't be happier! Again," she side bumps him teasingly. "When is the big day?"

Patrick: "June 30th! And I was hoping that if you were free, that you would stand by me?" He side winks to her.

Sam: "Wait, me?" She asks shocked. "What about Elizabeth?"

Patrick: "I talked it over with her. She was there for me the first time around, and now I want you there by my side! Sam, you have been there for me this whole time. When Robin came back, with the baby and everything in between. You've been my ear and I can't thank you enough for your friendship."

Sam: "Patrick. your gonna make me cry! Stop that!" She side taps his should again. "I'm shocked and honored."

Patrick: "So, is that a yes?"

Sam: She looks directly at him for a few seconds making him wonder. "That's a resounding YES!" She hugs her friend. " I've never been a Person of Honor before! I've got lots to do!" She teases.

Patrick: "Just a heads up, I'd consult with the other Person of Honor as he will flip a lid if he's not involved in any plans, he laughs. "The guy has a wedding chart!"

Sam: "You're kidding? "She raises her eye brows and laughs.

Patrick: "Scouts honor!" He says raising his hand.

Sam: "Thanks for the tip!" She laughs again.

Patrick: "My bride is waiting for me. I should go."

Sam: "Well, don't keep the girl waiting! How's the baby by the way?"

Patrick: "He's amazing! I can't believe he's home!"

Sam: "I'm happy for you guys! You all deserve to be happy!" She smiles kissing his cheek.

Patrick: "Catch ya later?"

Sam: "Catch ya later!"

Patrick gets on the elevator and is surprised to see Robin there.

Robin: "Oh, hi there stranger. Long time no see! How are things?" They wait as the elevator makes its way to ground level.

Patrick: "Things, are, pretty fantastic," he says trying not to gloat.

Robin: "So, Emma tells me," she laughs awkwardly. "The baby is doing well I hear too? I'm very happy about that."

Patrick: "So are we. It was a scary few months in the beginning but little Ethan is growing stronger every day.

Robin: "That's wonderful to hear. I'm glad I ran into you."

Patrick: "Yeah?"

Robin: "I've been hoping to take Em on a girls vacation at the end of the month and was wondering what her schedule was like."

Patrick: (Stepping out into the lobby of the hospital) "Well, Sabrina and I are kind of getting married at the end of the month Robin, and I'd like my daughter to be there and be a part of it. But you already knew that didn't you?" He asks raising his eyebrows in anger.

Robin: "You know me to well, Dr. Drake."

Patrick: "You could just ask me when the wedding is. It's not a secret or anything. The whole hospital knows, thanks to Felix he mumbles under his breath laughing at himself.

Robin: "Right, of course. I'm sorry, Patrick, I was just..."

Patrick: "Being nosy?" He teases.

Robin: "Yea!" But Emma and I do have a weekend coming up that I would like to take her to the beach. Does she have weekends free on your end of things before the big day?"

Patrick: "Let me check with Sabrina, and get back to you?"

Robin: "Sure, great." She says shaking her head with disbelief that she has to be put on hold to check with another woman about their own daughter's schedule.

Patrick arrives home after a long shift at the hospital, happy to be home with his family.

Patrick: "Honey, I'm home," he laughs coming inside and dropping his bag by the door.

Emma: "Daddy!" She runs and jumps in his arms.I missed you, she says hugging him."

Patrick: "I missed you too...Where is everyone?"

Sabrina: "Right here love, she says handing him Ethan. She gives him a long a waited kiss. "How was your shift?"

Patrick: "Exhausting! And over, he says sitting on the couch with the baby.

Sabrina: "Felix is almost finished with my dress, she smiles.

Patrick: "Great! I can't wait to see you in it!" He winks.

Sabrina: "Were you able to get in touch with Sam?"

Patrick: "I actually bumped into her on my way out of the hospital. She's in! He smiles.

Sabrina: "Great! I can't believe our wedding is finally almost here, she says snuggling with him and their baby.

Patrick: "Believe it! It is going to go off without a hitch this time...I promise!"

Sabrina: "You're sure you have no more dead wives coming to interrupt us this time!? She laughs.

Patrick: "Not that I know of, he teases with a laugh. Why don't I put this little guy down for the night, tuck Emma in and you and I can have some one on one time...he winks...

Sabrina: "I'd love that! She smiles and kisses Ethan goodnight.I'll get the wine!"

There's a knock at the door...

Sabrina: "Who could that be?" She asks herself looking at the clock.

Sabrina opens the door and is surprised to see who is behind the door.

Sabrina: "Juan! Oh my gosh!" She hugs him...happy to see him. "What are you doing here? The wedding is next week. Come in."

Juan: "I know I am early and I should have called, but I wanted to surprise you guys early. I have something to tell you and wanted to do it in person."

Sabrina: "Can I get you anything? Wine? Beer?" Patrick is putting the kids to bed, he'll be out in a minute."

Juan: "I'm so sorry to come unannounced."

Sabrina: "Would you stop that!" She says sitting next to her cousin. "I love that you're here."

Patrick: "Hey, did I hear the door bell? Juan! Hey, what a nice surprise! He hugs his soon to be cousin-in-law. What a surprise!"

Juan: "Yea, I know I am a week early, but I was hoping to spend some time with my cousin before the big day," he smiles.

Sabrina: "Now that is something that can be managed. You said you had something to tell us?"

Juan: "I do, but actually the person I want to tell you about should be here with me, so why don't I come back tomorrow. I've been in touch with Felix and he is letting me sleep in your old room. He says getting up."

Sabrina: "That's great...but I want to know your news now!" She laughs intrigued."

Juan: "Tomorrow, Quierda," he kisses her cheek...I wanted to stop by on my way from the airport to let you know I was in town. I'll be by first thing in the morning. I promise...I want to see my baby cousin after all...

Sabrina: "Fine, first thing tomorrow, you hear?" She hugs him.

Juan: "Patrick," he shakes his hand. Good to see ya."

Patrick: "Same here, see you tomorrow."

Sabrina closes the door.

Sabrina: "Well, that's a nice surprise! Did you know about this?"

Patrick: "No, I'm just as surprised as you are. Now," he pulls her into him. Where were we before we were interrupted? He kisses her deeply allowing her to forget everything and they make their way into their bedroom and make love.
