"You married a Hale." My uncle stated, making me glance over at him from the table I was standing by with the papers he used to write his plans for the Kanima on.
"I married a Williams." I corrected, standing slightly straighter as he slowly made his way closer to me; making me use my heightened senses to see if there was any danger coming my way anytime soon.
"No, don't lie to me Stephanie. You're just like your mother, a traitor and liar to this family. You're exactly the same as her and have betrayed this family!"
"You're the traitor." I said quietly, startling him a little by my soft reply. "You banished her from the family when she was helping with the problem. By not becoming a threat to them she had protection, you on the other hand were always too busy trying to kill off all of us and that's when we turn on you." I grabbed the shaft of an arrow as it was shot at me from a different direction, making my uncle look at it in shock when I caught it an inch from my neck. "Not all of us are bad, but if you hurt my family I will fight back. There's a larger threat than us right now, there are a two Alphas arriving here soon. We need to concentrate on that and then we can sort our dispute out calmly like adults and not savages."
"Y-You're one of them. He cursed you!"
"My husband saved me when a hunter shot me while I was still human!" I growled. "All of you are the bad guys, not us. We don't go trying to kill you every second of the day, do we? You know that's the truth, you just don't want to admit that you're wrong." I grabbed the barrel of a shotgun that came near me and bent it upwards just as the man pulled the trigger, making him shoot the ceiling of the room. "You'll never win against us, we'll always come out on top because we actually work and act like a family should. Oh, and by the way; you won't be in control of the Kanima for that much longer, there won't be a Kanima soon anyway. Not since you tried killing my friend's father who walked me down the aisle on my wedding day. Want to know why?" I stepped around the table after collecting all the paper together and shoving them down the strap of my bra so they wouldn't get in the way of my escape. "My husband's an Alpha, and so am I."
I gave him a fanged grin before darting out the house as gunfire sounded behind me, making me duck my head down and run on all fours into the woods where Chris was waiting for me with his black jeep. I dove into the passenger side and just shut the door as he sped out deeper into the woods back to our house by the longer trail so we could shake them off if any of them were following behind us.
"Well, how'd it go?" he asked as I pulled the papers out of my shirt, giving him a smile as I waved them around slightly. "You got them?"
"Mhm, but I don't think I'm welcome back there anymore seeing as they tried to shoot me they know what I am now." I remarked. "But, everything's good. We're changing Jackson back tonight and then we're focusing on the Alphas."

Chris and I finally stumbled through the front door of my house after an interesting drive home which consisted of me perching on the roof of the jeep as hunters tried hacking their way in whilst we were driving. Both of us were slightly ruffled as Chris handed the papers over to peter while I was greeted with a kiss by my husband when I walked straight into him.
"Don't ask." I stated, seeing the questioning look Erica was giving me. She laughed lightly before my attention was grabbed by Jackson as he shuffled on his feet a little. As I sniffed slightly I could smell the nerves literally radiating off of him, making me send him a reassuring smile to which he returned a shaky one at me.
"It has to be done very precisely otherwise he could actually die." Peter's voice brought me back to the present situation as my head snapped towards him with a look of firmness on my face.
"You said it wouldn't kill him."
"If it's done correctly it won't kill him." Peter smiled, making me roll my eyes at the older man.
"Great, could have told us this before we were going to do it in like ten minutes." I remarked, making him shush me. My eyes widened and I heard my husband snicker at the look on my face. "What are you laughing at?" I glared, making him bite his lip with a smile as he looked down at me.
"Nothing babe." Derek replied before returning his attention to his uncle as the explanation of how we were going to do it was said out loud.
Jackson, Derek and I made our way down into the basement and I nearly teared up a little when Tanner and Hailey hugged Jackson's legs before he'd reached the door; making him bend down and have them latch onto him tightly. They eventually let him go and came down the stairs before the door was shut by Scott and the three of us were plunged into the dim room.
Derek let me go behind Jackson so that I wouldn't have to look at him as we were about to do the thing which would hopefully cure him of the Kanima. I rubbed the back of Jackson's neck gently as a reassurance for the both of us before lightly placing my longer claws on his back right over where Derek's were on the other side on his chest. I took a slightly shaky breath in before focusing on the place my hand was, making sure it was in the right place.
"Now." Derek's soft breath met my sensitive ears and I thrusted my hand forward the same time my husband did, making our claws pierce the flesh and touch the tips of each other's inside Jackson's chest; wincing as his cry of pain nearly shattered my eardrums.
Derek and I caught him as he slumped, laying him onto the floor while we retracted our claws. I watched Jackson carefully as I stared down at him, my panic inflating as his chest stopped moving; signalling that he wasn't breathing. A sound of distress left my lips and I hurried over into Derek's arms, making him wrap them around me securely as I stared wide-eyes at the motionless figure of Jackson.
"Did it not work?" I asked in a small voice, feeling Derek's chin lean against the top of my head as he was probably thinking the same thing as me. Jackson gasped suddenly, making me nearly jump out of my skin as it was kind of a violent movement before his eyes opened as an electric ice blue.
"I think it did." Derek replied as Jackson stood, looking at us with fangs and the electric eyes. "And I also have a hunch that he's back to a werewolf."
"Really, what gave that away? The fangs?" I remarked, seeing Jackson return to normal as he seemed to snap out of a daze. "Jacky?" I asked, eyeing him wearily. A grin lifted his lips and I knew our Jackson was back, making me lunge forward and hug him tightly as relief flooded through me.
