Chapter 11
Elle packed for her move to MF, she was only going for the school year as she was taking a break from magic for a while- she was being home-schooled ever since an incident with a 'puff.
She didn't know what clothes to take so she decided to take a bit of everything and her favourite clothes and do some shopping there if she needed anything else. Once she got there she planned on getting everything for school which she was being forced to go to. Eventually she had packed most of her clothes and was getting started on her other stuff. First she packed her make-up that she wasn't planning on using within the week and her products, again, that she wasn't planning on using- making sure to pack her airplane travel pack- and put them in the boxes that was being taken over the night before her.
As she was packing all the stuff that she had stuffed in the back of the wardrobe, she found some photographs of her and her family growing up. She found the stuffed wolf that she couldn't sleep without and she found all the Gryffindor stuff that she had gotten before she was sorted into Slytherin. Elle deliberated but decided to take some of the stuff with her and get rid of the other stuff.
Elle knew that she was just distracting herself from what her mother had said about her but she didn't know what else to do. She could go out with her friends but didn't feel like it that night and she had an interview in the morning anyway. She knew that it would be a bad idea to go out right before an interview, especially one as important as this. Elle conveniently forgot that she was grounded and decided that she would not go out and that was her own decision.
Logically, she knew that what lily had said was false and how could it be her fault that her father was a bastard? He didn't seem that bad to her and she knew that she couldn't control what he had done before and that she should ignore what she had said but something kept nagging at her, making her remember the look on lily's face when thinking about her eldest daughter.
"Elle, You still awake?" Elle's younger sister, Rose asked as she gently pushed open the door.
"Yeah Rosie, I'm still up, just getting ready for next week." She spoke as she stood up to face Rose, she had inherited her fathers black hair and mothers green eyes. In fact, they really did look alike. While Elle got her dark hair and features except her mothers eyes from her father and his family- she even had the same look in her eyes as he did- Rose got her fathers hair and the aristocratic features from all the other pureblood family's that had married in. Likewise Rose had inherited Lily's eyes but she had the same look as her father- full of mischief and fun.
The two girls were definitely sisters, the only differences being that Elle was pale and her hair was curly, Rose was tanned and her hair was straight. But if you knew them you would know that they could not be more different:
Elle was cold and calculating, Rose was hot-headed and reckless
Elle liked singing and dancing- Rose liked running and playing sports
Elle liked to manipulate her way through life – Rose liked to joke her way through life.
All-in-all, Elle was the perfect Snake and Rose was the perfect Lioness. However no matter how different they were, they loved each other and would kill for the fact Elle had killed for Rose. Voldemort had tried to kill Rose and Elle had seen red and killed him, all the while Rose distracted them knowing what her sister had planned. No matter what they portrayed to the world, Elle could be hot-headed – mainly because of her temper- and Rose could be calculating. Both hid it from everyone but each other and Elle had been training Rose in everything that she could. She had known that her baby sister would be in danger one day and that she would need the skills that she had been taught- that and every girl should know how to do their hair and make-up.
"Hey, do you want some of my old stuff? I have some clothes that I don't like anymore and they are practically new. They are too…bright for my linking." She spoke as she got the clothes that she had picked out specifically for her little sister, knowing that Rose would never buy them herself, but would look perfect in them.
"Ok, sure. I may not wear them much though" Rose warned. Another difference, Rose didn't know how to manipulate people and Elle did.
"Oh! I also have some exercise clothes you may like. Help yourself to anything that is on the left side of my wardrobe- everything else is what I'm wearing this week." She spoke as she changed into her pyjamas.
"Thanks." Rose called out already heading into the wardrobe.
"Do you want to go shopping tomorrow afternoon? Mum wants to go with me and I don't want to shop with her." She spoke as both girls climbed into Elle's bed and turned on the hidden T.V.
"sure, why you don't come to the interview with me?" she asked as she picked out a movie for them too watch.
"Ok then and we can go after that?" Rose asked.
"Ok sure. You want popcorn?" and with that both girls just acted like sisters and watched Bride Wars together.
For the rest of the night Elle didn't think about anything but spending time with her baby sister.
