Evan didn't wake up peacefully this time, instead it was a loud knock at the door which jolted him and Rosa out of their sleep. He sighed and got out of bed, walking over to the door and slowly opening it. It was Violeta.

"Morning, sorry to wake you so early. We're going to train a bit more before we leave this afternoon." Violeta explained and grinned.

"It's okay, I just wish I was prepared for this." Evan stretched out a bit and blinked a few times, still struggling to wake up.

"I would have told you, it just wasn't my idea. It was all set up last minute, you should go get ready." She explained this quickly in order to hurry him up, they only had a few hours to get this done.

Evan nodded and took a quick 10 minutes to get himself ready, then walked out of the door again with Rosa and headed to the shooting range. Violeta already had everything set up by the time he arrived.

"Last day in here, we're going to test your skills with the RR-720. It's the main sniper rifle we use here, it just stands for 'rapid rechamber'. Rechambers on its own so you don't have to." Violeta handed him the jet black colored rifle, along with the equipment needed for the range.

Then they went behind the glass panel to train with it. Rosa sat down on the floor and watched Evan shoot at targets and paper silhouttes, he was fairly accurate for the amount of training he'd gotten. About three hours of straight training had gone by, along with him learning about bullet drop and distance and such. "Alright Evan, I think you're ready. We don't have anymore time to train anyway." Violeta sighed and placed the rifle and attachable scope into a black case that read Veilstock on the front. Just like the one he saw on his last hike with Rosa. "Oh, and you can't take her with you." Violeta looked at Rosa and closed the case after fitting the equipment inside of it properly.

"She goes everywhere I go…" Evan looked at Rosa and sighed. As much as he wanted to take her along, he'd never put her life in any kind of danger anyway. "Can I at least walk her back?" He asked and glanced over at Violeta.

"Sure, just make it quick." She replied.

Evan nodded and carried Rosa back to the room, holding her firmly in his arms. He set her down on the bed once he'd gotten her inside and held her cheeks in the palms of his hands while looking down at her. "Stay here Rosa, okay? You'll be safe. Don't worry about me, I'll be back before you know it." Evan explained to her and gave her a tight hug. He didn't care how crazy he sounded. Talking to a pokémon this way.

Rosa would listen to his instruction though, as she always did.

Evan pulled away from her after a few more seconds and kissed her right ear. "I love you Rose." He whispered in her ear before walking outside of the room and closing the door behind him.

Violeta was leaned against the wall that was near the door. "Ready?" Evan nodded in response and walked behind her as she lead the way. "I'll be right next to you the whole time on this mission. So don't be nervous at all." Violeta glanced over at him as the two walked through the hallways. She opened the door to the underground garage area, taking her keys out of her pocket and pressing a button on them as she walked to a silver colored car. It looked like a sedan with a sporty and sleek look to it. Violeta got into the driver's seat and turned the car on, Even sitting next to her in the passenger seat.

They drove out of the garage and were now back on the street above ground. It was refreshing to be back up here for Evan, he just wished Rosa could see it too.

"I usually don't do this." Violeta began, but simply stopped there. It was silent for a few seconds, until Evan figured that she wouldn't continue.

"Do what?" Evan buckled his seatbelt as well as Violeta. He then glanced at her, awaiting a reply. "Usually, I'd just drop you off at the destination keep a good distance unless you were to call in because you got into trouble." Violeta explained as they drove down a straight road, trees surrounding them.

"Well...why aren't you this time?" Evan asked, looking at her for a while longer this time.

"You're probably one of our best trained beginners. Not only do you make me look good but you're already proving to be of value which is rare to us." She continued and grinned a little.

Evan only nodded, he wasn't sure whether to feel good about this or feel that he was just being used. He wouldn't be surprised, that is how most things work after all.

Violeta pulled up onto a dirt road after 30 minutes of driving. The two got out and Violeta grabbed the case, leading the way up a trail that lead to a tall mountain. After they'd reached the top, Violeta walked over to the edge and pulled out a pair of small binoculars out of her pocket. She looked through them and sighed as she scanned the area for a few minutes. "There he is." She whispered. Evan heard it though. Violeta walked over to Evan and knelt down, opening the case that she brought along and taking out the pistol that was placed next to the sniper. She shoved it into her back pocket. "This is your pistol but I'll carry it since I'll be your scout." She said and handed him the almost compact sized sniper rifle.

Evan held it and followed Violeta back to the edge of the mountain, placing the rifle down and setting up the bipod. He then laid on his stomach behind the scope and looked through it.

Violeta looked through the binoculars as he looked through the scope. "See the guy in the blue shirt?" She asked.

"Yeah, I see him." Evan noticed him talking to two other men that were leaned against a truck in the middle of a field and a small warehouse next to them, laughing and seemingly having a fun time. Evan already began feeling guilty just watching it.

"That's your target, he's in charge of the firing squads and keeping the city safe for the citizens and pokémon." Violeta explained and momentarily looked at Evan just to make sure his posture and handling of the weapon was okay.

Everything Evan felt a few seconds ago was gone, keeping the city safe? He did a great, great job at doing that. He placed his right finger on the trigger, his left hand holding near the underside of the barrel. He positioned the scope and measurements read on the scope slightly above his target, his heart already beginning to race.

"If you miss, remember that we have a few backup snipers on the target. Don't get nervous, you'll miss if you get nervous." Violeta spoke softly, hearing his breathing pattern.

Evan kept attempting to perfect his aim, he wanted to get him in one shot so it'd all be over quickly for him, Evan felt no more guilt. His finger lightly pressed against the trigger, he raised the scope and black dot a bit more above the man's head who luckily hadn't moved yet. Evan figured that this angle would work, his heart beating almost out of his chest. Though he kept his aim steady, he held his breath for a few seconds and pulled the trigger.

A loud boom filled and cracked throughout the sky, the rifle shook for a second in his hands as it shot. Evan heard the rifle immediately rechamber, ready to take another shot if necessary. Evan watched through the scope, the man was on the ground. It all happened so quickly, he saw the other two men on talkies while they ran into the warehouse. Evan was being shaken, violently now, But he was in a state of shock. It took him a few seconds to focus back on reality, he pulled away from the scope and looked over at Violeta.

"Evan, now! We have to go!" She quickly got up and grabbed the casing for the sniper. Evan scrambled up to his feet and held his rifle in both hands, jogging back to the car and down the hill. They made it down quickly, and it still seemed to be quiet around them. Violeta threw everything in the trunk except for the pistol. Just in case. She got back into the driver's seat and placed the pistol on her lap, Evan in the passenger's and they quickly drove off after the engine was started. "You did a great job Evan, how do you feel?" Violeta patted his shoulder and looked into the rearview mirror a few times to make sure that they weren't being followed.

"I...I don't know." He replied quietly and looked down, about a million different thoughts running through his head at once.

"That's normal, he was a bad person though. Corrupt, he was responsible for a lot of killings around the city. No one else would've stopped him Evan." She sighed and grinned over at him. "You won't have to worry about doing this again for a while though." Evan still couldn't regain his composure though, nothing would help right now. He needed Rosa. He couldn't wait to get back to Rosa.
