Last Day
Sam's POV
I woke up the next morning with Danny's arm still around me. I turned my body so I was facing him. He was still sleeping. He looked so serene, and really cute. He was laying here, so peacefully. He had a very small smile. I decided against waking him up. Instead, I just cuddled up in to him and closed my eyes.
About 2o minutes or so later, I felt him move. I opened my eyes to see him propped up on an elbow, looking down at me.
"Morning," I smiled.
"Good morning," he yawned.
We just kept smiling at each other. A few minutes later, Danny broke the silence.
"You're hair's a mess," he chuckled.
"And yours isn't?" I asked, giggling as I smoothed down the back of my hair. I felt a ton of knots.
"I never said mine wasn't. I also didn't say that it looked bad," he replied.
"But you kinda' did," I retorted.
"How?" he asked.
"You said it's a mess. Messes are bad. Messes look bad. Messes need cleaned up," I explained.
"Okay then, I'll rephrase. Your hair looks different, but great as always. Better?"
I just nodded, laughing at him.
"We should get up," I suggested.
"Maybe,"
He got up, and I didn't notice he still had his arm around me until he moved it. My skin, where his arm had been, became cold as it was exposed to the cool morning air. We got up and left our tent.
We saw Jazz and Tucker sitting by the pit where the fire had been last night. We came and sat next to them.
"Well, look who finally decided to get up," Tucker teased.
"What time is it?" I asked.
"Noon," Jazz answered.
"Holy crap! What time did we go to bed last night?" I exclaimed.
"I don't know. You guys went in the tent at about 2. What time did you guys go to sleep?" Tucker said, suggestively raising an eyebrow.
"Ew, Tucker! We didn't do anything last night! Gosh! I went to sleep about a minute after Danny carried me in there,"
"And I was asleep about 20 minutes after that. Wait- how did you know I carried you in the tent? I thought you were sleeping,"
"No, I was semi-awake. Like 30 seconds after you laid me down was when I fell asleep,"
"Oh,"
"Anyway, Tucker, I was up 20 minutes ago," I informed.
"Then why didn't you come out here?" he asked.
"I was too lazy to move. We all know I am not a morning person,"
Everyone nodded.
"Okay well, what do you guys want to eat? I'm starving," Tuck questioned, rubbing his stomach.
"That's up to you guys. I'm just going to eat a banana and some grapes," I responded, pulling out a banana and a container filled with grapes.
Everyone else just had sausage. After we were done eating, we started talking again.
"What does everyone wanna' do?" Jazz asked.
"Let's play a game," Danny shrugged.
"What game?" I questioned.
"How about would you rather; or truth or dare," Tucker suggested.
Jazz, Danny, and I shared a glance.
"Would you rather," the three of us said, simultaneously.
"Okay, I'll go first," Tuck said. "Jazz, would you rather not get into an Ivy League college or date Dash?"
"Date Dash. No questions asked," Jazz replied, after thinking a second.
"But-" Tucker started.
"No questions asked," she growled.
"Okay, Jazz, now you ask,"
"Okay. Little Bro, would you rather live with the Box Ghost or be Vlad's apprentice?"
"Box Ghost, I couldn't stand having the fruit loop telling me what to do," he answered. "Tuck, would you rather date the hottest girl you can think of or get free meat for life?"
"Oh, hard one. I'd have to go with the meat,"
I fake gagged.
"Okay, Sam, would you rather date me or Danny?"
"...Danny..." I replied, in a near whisper.
"What was that? Did you say Danny?" Tuck urged.
I nodded.
"Why? Is it because you like him?"
"Drop it, Tucker," I growled, through clenched teeth.
"Okay," he sing-songed.
We went on with the game for a little longer.
"I'm going to go get dressed. I'll be back in a few," I said, standing.
I walked over to mine and Danny's tent. I went through my bag to find the clothes I brought. I put on a green t-shirt and black shorts. I put on my shoes and brushed my hair. It was when they guys turned to look at me that I realized my shorts were really short. They're not like Paulina shorts short, but Sam standard short.
I came and sat down between Danny and Tucker. Then Danny went to get changed out of his pajamas. He came back in his signature white and red t-shirt, light jean guy shorts, and his converses. It looked like he just barely put a brush through it. I'll admit, he looked really cute.
'Okay, Manson, you just called your best friend cute twice in one day. You need to stop.'
He sat back down next to me. The four of us hung out for a little bit longer.
"Okay, guys, we better start packing if we wanna' make it back to Amity before by 6," Jazz announced.
"Okay," we all said.
Danny and I went into our tent, as did Jazz and Tucker to theirs. We packed our bags and loaded them in the Fenton RV. As I threw my bag into the back, Danny came up behind me and put his arms around me.
"Hello to you too," I giggled.
"Hey," he smiled, turning me around to face him. He slid his hands so they were on my waist.
"What's up?" I grinned.
"Just upset about this weekend being over. I had a lot of fun on this trip,"
"Me too. We should do this again,"
"Most definitely,"
Tucker walked over to put his bag in the back.
"Am I interrupting something?" he questioned, smirking.
"No," Danny and I replied together, blushing.
"Whatever," he set his bag in the vehicle and sauntered away.
"He really needs to get a life," I stated.
"You don't say," he laughed.
We laughed.
Jazz honked the horn.
"Are you two coming?" she called.
"Or are you too gonna' stand back there a kanoodle all day?" Tuck yelled.
"Yes, Ma'am, we're coming," Danny answered, shutting the back hatch.
"And we weren't kanoodling or whatever," I told him.
"Whatever you say," he replied, slyly.
Jazz turned on the radio to 105.9. They play a bunch of Three Days Grace, Skillet, and Sugarcult. I fell asleep on Danny's shoulder again about an hour into the trip home. The next thing I knew I woke up on my couch. I sat up. I walked into the kitchen and saw my grandma.
"Hey, Grandma," I greeted.
"Hi, Honey," she replied.
"How did end up on the couch? The last thing I remembered was that I was in the RV with Jazz, Tucker, and Danny," I questioned.
"Oh, Danny carried you in. He also brought in your bag. He said you fell asleep in the car and he didn't want to wake you up. But I do have to say I'm surprised," she explained.
"Why?"
"Well, he's not exactly the most well-build guy, but he carried you in without any struggle. No offense. You're 100 pounds, but he's a small kid. He's probably only got about 20 or so pounds on you. Point being he doesn't look as strong as he is,"
"Yeah, you'd be surprised," I smiled.
"So how was your camping trip?"
"Pretty fun. We made s'mores by the fire, played games, and Danny threw me into the river,"
"Why?"
Grandma was chuckling.
"We went swimming in the river, but I refused to get in. So he pulled me in,"
"Ah,"
Now she was full on laughing. I playfully glared at her.
"I'll be in my room if you need me," I chuckled.
"Okay, I'll be here,"
I got my bag and went up to my room. I sat down on my bed and put all the clothes in my bag in my laundry hamper. Then I got a book and started reading it.
An hour later my phone buzzed. I put my book down and checked it. It was a text from Danny.
'Hey, Sammy. What's up?'
I replied.
'Hey, Danny. Nothing much, just reading. You?'
'Just being bored! Mind if I come over?
'Yeah, come. And it's just me and grandma so you can use the door.'
'Yes, Ma'am. I'll be over in a few.'
'See you then.'
'See ya.'
I walked down stairs. My grandma was just watching one of her Soaps.
"Hey, Grandma, are you okay if Danny comes over?" I asked.
"Yeah, I don't care what your parents think of him. I like him and think he's a pleasant young man,"
"Thanks, Grandma," I hugged her, and kissed her cheek.
I went back up to my room. I got out my laptop and went on YouTube. I put on 'Not Somebody Else' by Victoria Justice. Then I started singing to it.
'Yeah, yeah, yeah. Breath taking, frightening, these feelings inside me. Don't know where I'm going, but I'm hoping far. Perfectly imperfect, yeah it's all been worth it; the scares and the scars.
Holding my own, believing it's mine. Catching the moment, for real this time. Letting me destiny speak for itself. I'm finally trying to be me, not somebody else.'
After that I felt a pair of hands cover my eyes.
"Guess who," I heard a delightfully familiar voice in my ear.
I paused the song. I closed my laptop, and turned to look at him.
"Hey," I smiled.
"Hey, beautiful voice,"
"So you heard me singing, didn't you?"
"Yes, I did,"
He grinned at me and winked. I smiled back.
"So what do you want to do?" I asked.
"Let's watch a movie," he suggested.
We went down to my home theater
"What movie?" I questioned.
"Whatever,"
"Okay," I just put in some random movie.
I sat down on the couch next to Danny. He put his arm around my shoulder. I folded my legs to one side so I was sitting 'princess style' as I leaned my head on his shoulder. We sat like this the whole movie.
"Now what should we do?" I asked.
"You wanna' listen to music?"
"Yeah,"
We went up to my room, and got my laptop. We went back downstairs and I hooked up my computer to the surround sound.
"What song?" I questioned.
"Here, let me type it in. I want it to be a surprise," He walked over an typed something in. He clicked on a video. Then 'Hero' by Sterling Knight started playing.
'I'm no Superman. I can't take your hand and fly you anywhere you wanna' go. Yeah'
At that, Danny stuck his hand out to me, and I took it. Then he twirled me so I was directly in front of him. We jumped and danced to the rest of the song. Then we played a few more songs. Then my laptop died. So we went up to my room to charge it.
"What time is it?" he asked.
"Um, 11:37," I answered, checking my watch.
"Oh my gosh! I've been here that long!"
"Apparently. What time did your parents want you home?"
"Didn't say,"
"Okay, well what should we do?" I yawned.
"Well I think it's time for you to go to bed,"
"I'm not tired,"
"You just yawned,"
"I'm not that tired," I yawned again.
He gave me a smug look.
"Okay, I'm tired, but I love hanging out with you,"
"I can come back over tomorrow,"
"Okay, I'll be back,"
I grabbed some pajamas and went into my bathroom. I put on a black tank top and black sweat pants. I laid down. I shivered.
"You cold?"
"A little,"
He took of his sweat shirt and handed it to me.
"Thanks," I smiled, as I put it on.
"No problem. Goodnight,"
"Goodnight,"
We shared a smile. The Danny leaned in a kissed me. It was a soft, chaste kiss. But it was a kiss, nonetheless. Then he smiled, squeezed my hand, and left.
After he'd gone, I reached up to my face and touched my lips. I smiled and slipped into a peaceful slumber.
There you all go. It's the last chapter of my Weekend Plans/ Camping one-shot series. Hope you all enjoyed this chapter! :)
