Omglob that took waaaaayyyy longer than I thought! I'm so sorry. It was so much more worse than usual! It's been like ever since my last update, I feel so bad, it wasn't even everyone. Please don't hate me, I've been having inspiration issues lately. I know excuses, excuses.

Though hopefully you guys still enjoy the chapter

-Monday morning at the Heiwajima's-

Shizuo woke up and walked out to the living room in his morning haze. The three other blondes were eating breakfast at the island, per usual, but they had a house guest.

"M-mom?" Shizuo's face was full of shock and confusion. He had no idea she was going to be there. Everyone looked up at Shizuo, stopping what they were doing. Delic was the first one to look away, uninterested.

"Oh, good morning, Shizuo," his mother said as though this happened every day. Tsuki looked from his aunt to Shizuo, then to Tsugaru and Delic.

"I-I think we should ch-change, Delic," Tsuki suggested, getting up and tugging his older brother's arm. Delic, not understanding quite yet that this wasn't their conversation, whined.

"But I'm still eating." Getting a look from Tsuki telling him that now wasn't the time, his mouth formed an 'o' of understanding. The two excused themselves to their rooms, Delic taking his plate.

"Why are you here?" Shizuo asked, not in the best mood. It wasn't that he didn't love his parents, but he did dislike them. They kicked him out, so naturally it left bitter tension between Shizuo and his parents. It also didn't help that since Tsugaru wasn't okay with his younger brother going away, they made him choose: his brother or his parents.

"I just thought it would be nice to see you guys off for school," Namiko replied with a seemingly innocent answer. Tsugaru, who was still silently eating a pancake, looked up at Shizuo for a reaction. The other's eye just twitched in irritation, obviously upset with this.

"Well, when are you leaving?" Shizuo asked bluntly. Namiko winced as if she hadn't expected him to say that. Shizuo paid no attention to it, though.

"In a day or two, depending on the business transaction," she said, her voice quieter than before. Tsugaru now stared back and forth between both parties. Sighing and shaking his head, he put his dishes in the sink and went to his room, not even bothering to get involved.

Shizuo made a bothered noise before heading to his room, leaving their mother alone in the kitchen.

-Orihara's-

"I swear to god, Izaya, if you don't get out of my face!" Hibiya threatened as the other retreated to the safety of downstairs where Psyche already was. The golden-eyed raven obviously didn't wake up on the best side of bed. He grumpily sat up, scratching the back of his neck as he walked to the kitchen.

Roppi, hearing Hibiya's yell, walked out of his room, tiredly rubbing his eyes. Soon all of the boys were in the kitchen, starting their early morning routine. Roppi with some fruit, Izaya with his cereal, Psyche, deciding it was a good day to have some, also had cereal, and Hibiya had his coffee and oatmeal.

It wasn't long until they all walked away to their respected rooms, getting dressed and ready for their school day to come.

The day was going by reasonably well for Shizuo. Everyone was, for the most part, ignoring him. Teachers didn't pick on him to questions he didn't know the answer to, students were staying clear, and even Izaya hadn't bothered him. Yet.

Soon, it was lunch, and he was supposed to meet Izaya for tutoring, which, for a change, he wasn't dreading. He got a B on his last math test, and it really brought up his confidence for knowing some of the subject. Maybe Shizuo could prove to Izaya he wasn't a protozoan.

When Shizuo got to the library, he saw the raven sitting at one of the tables. A math book was already open, ready to be used, while Izaya fiddled with his phone, typing rapidly. The clicking sound of his phone was already getting on Shizuo's nerves, and he had just entered the room. He just knew this was going to ruin his good day.

"Must you always be on that thing?" his eyebrow twitched as he sat next to Izaya. Closing his phone with a loud smack, the raven looked at him.

"Some people actually have better things to do than teach a certain someone all the time," Izaya said pointedly, watching the blonde sit down in the chair. His expression was that of someone bored and uninterested. "Now do you have your math test?" Izaya asked bitterly, remembering the test was the reason he had the cast on his wrist. The cast was causing lots of problems, though at least it wasn't on his dominant hand. Izaya was at least slightly thankful for that.

Shizuo just nodded before going through his book bag, pulling out a rather crumbled piece of paper. It had a large B at the top, displaying the grade clearly. As Shizuo handed Izaya the paper, he glared at the raven, daring him to say something like it didn't get them in enough trouble last time.

"Aww, you got this one wrong," Izaya whined after going through what Shizuo missed. He looked at the blonde but was only answered with a sound of annoyance. "I mean it, Shizu-chan, I so taught you this!" he exclaimed, feeling he'd have a better luck with a fish as a pupil than Shizuo. Though Izaya would never admit it, he didn't expect Shizuo to get a B. He thought he'd get maybe C at most.

"Shut up! I couldn't remember the damn formula," Shizuo growled, getting frustrated quickly. Knowing this was getting them nowhere, Izaya sighed. It took him some time, but he actually got Shizuo to remember the formula. Or at least most of it.

While Shizuo worked on redoing the questions he missed, Izaya sat back on the chair, flipping out his phone again. It wasn't until Shizuo got to the third question that he needed help. He didn't want to deliberately ask Izaya for help, so cleared his throat to get his attention.

Looking up from his phone, Izaya sighed, moving to get a better view of Shizuo's paper.

"You didn't multiply it right here, and that messed up everything. That's why the answer makes no sense," Izaya said simply, pointing to the second pair of numbers. Shizuo nodded, actually getting what was said. He quickly erased the wrong part, and started to do the problem again.

"So do I get the privilege of knowing about what happened between you and your parents?" Izaya said, resting his head in his arms. Shizuo stopped his pencil and looked at him, his expression seeming annoyed and bewildered at the same time.

"No, I'm not telling you about my parents. And how do you know something happened?" Shizuo looked at Izaya, interested to know. Though he was pretty sure it was a bit obvious by this point.

"Aww, not even a little bit? Even Psyche won't tell me anything. Something about family blah blah blah," Izaya pouted. He wasn't used to not knowing something, and it bothered him. Since there was no way of finding it on the Internet, his only way was asking Shizuo himself, or Tsugaru, but Izaya was sure he'd get the same answer Psyche gave him. He wasn't even going to bother answering the second question.

"It's none of your goddamn business," Shizuo said, irritated. By this time, his pencil was on the verge of snapping. This wasn't a subject Shizuo liked talking about, especially if it was going to be with Izaya.

"Come on, one big brother to another~?" after Izaya said that, there was an audible snap, the sound being the blonde successfully breaking his pencil.

"Did you really think that would work?" Shizuo turned to face Izaya better, his face practically screaming hostility, though, as always, it had no effect on the informant, who simply shrugged.

"No, not really, but it was worth a shot." Izaya moved to sit back in his seat, his uncaring expression really pissing off Shizuo. Just something about it was bothering him.

"My pencil's broken; I'm going." Shizuo got up, stuffing his test and broken pencil into his bag.

"You know I'm determined to find out," Izaya said before Shizuo left the library, though he didn't bother to look behind him. Izaya knew that Shizuo's face was set in a frown, so no point in looking if he already knew.

"Nosy little shit," Shizuo growled out before storming out of the room. Izaya just laughed, clearly amused.

Delic walked into the library after school, expecting Hibiya and Erika to be in there. Today he didn't meet Hibiya at his class, because his teacher wanted to talk to him about something to do with a report he hadn't turned in. Walking down through the bookshelves, suddenly a book was thrown across.

"How can you force me to answer questions after that horrible story?!" Delic heard the wail all the way from where he stood, making him chuckle. He was in for a show.

"Did you really hate the story that much?" Hibiya's voice got louder the closer Delic walked to the isle the book came from.

"No, it was so good! I mean he was willing to die because she had died. And then using snake leaves to bring back the dead is so original! I mean, really, who has ever heard of that? It was so heart breaking when she tried to kill him, because she was no longer in love with him. It's so good, I hate it!" Delic got to the isle where Erika and Hibiya were sitting in right as she finished. He was just able to see some of her arm waving and the dramatic movements. Delic couldn't help but be amused. He felt almost sorry Hibiya had to deal with her.

"You do understand it was barely the front and back of two pages, right?" Hibiya asked gingerly, barely sparing a glance at Delic. The blonde was determined to not let it bother him, but failed. He forced his frown away.

"Tell your boyfriend-" Erika stated suddenly to Delic, standing up after noticing their glance.

"I'm not his boyfriend!" Hibiya snapped, glaring at Erika, though she continued like nothing was said.

"-that he has horrible taste in things. That story made me depressed!" she started to storm out, though it was more for show. She wasn't bothered at all. Delic just laughed in response, moving to take Erika's spot, but sitting much closer to Hibiya than she was.

"You know I still have to help you answer the questions," Hibiya called out to her as she left the isle. Erika soon popped back into his view.

"I don't want to. English is stupid!" she finally took that as her cue to leave, quietly exiting the library. Delic chuckled as she left, extremely amused by the two's exchange. It made him feel better. He then wrapped his arm around Hibiya's shoulders. The raven gave Delic a questioning look, moving his eyes from the offending arm touching him, to whom the arm belonged to. Delic just shrugged, showing just how much he didn't care, angering the raven.

"Why are you even here? Surely you have better places to be," Hibiya insisted, wanting the other to be gone.

"Nah, I like being with you," Delic stated simply, making Hibiya's face light up in pink. Now that made Delic grin.

"Don't be stupid. Plus I'm going to leave soon." Delic tightened his grip on Hibiya, not letting the other move. The shorter male gave the blonde an extremely agitated look.

"Just wait, I wanna ask you something," Delic stated, only letting up his grip when Hibiya relaxed and looked like he wasn't going anywhere.

"I may want to ask you something to," Hibiya said, though with less confidence then he usually had while talking. Delic wasn't expecting that, though he was relieved. It has to mean something interesting, right?

"Fine, I'll answer your question if you answer mine, but you can't run away like last time." Delic gave Hibiya a pointed look, slightly tightening his arm that was around the male's shoulders again as a sign he meant it.

"Fine. I accept your stupid terms," Hibiya said, crossing his arms in irritation.

"Good, now ask your question," Delic said, trying to hide the fact he was proud of himself. It was always difficult to get Hibiya to do what he didn't want.

"Why me? Out of everyone else, why me?" Hibiya wasn't stupid; he knew well enough that if Delic tried hard enough, he could have anyone he wanted.

"I don't know; you're just different," Delic shrugged, knowing it wasn't the answer Hibiya wanted. He couldn't explain it, he just simply knew. Maybe it was because Hibiya was better than everyone. Maybe it was because he knew what he wanted in life. Maybe it was because he refused to be treated less than he deserved, Delic didn't know. Hell, maybe it was because of all these things combined.

"That answers my question," Hibiya said sarcastically, rolling his eyes in irritation.

"Why don't you trust me?" Delic jumped to his question, really wanting to get his answer.

"Really, Delic? We've known each other for how long? About a year or two, right? And how many times have I found you kissing other people?"

"Uhh..." Delic unintelligently tried. He wouldn't know the number, even if he tried really hard to remember.

"Uhh, a lot," Hibiya mocked, trying to use a voice that sounded dumb.

"How does that even have to do with trust?"

"It has a lot to do with trust." Though by the blonde's expression, it was clear he still wasn't getting it. "Okay think about this, Delic. After seeing you with all these people, how am I supposed to know you'll stick to just one?"

There was silence between them. Hibiya was quickly getting angered by the lack of response, and Delic racked his brain for the answer.

"Can't you just give it a try?" Delic practically pleaded, making Hibiya look up at him, his glare softening at Delic's magenta eyes. He found himself not being able to look away. Delic knew the look on Hibiya's face; it was one he saw often, but on other people's faces. So Delic took this as his chance.

It was new to him, but as the same time, it wasn't. He knew what he was doing, but his heart raced as though it was his first kiss all over again. Delic leaned in slowly, stopping when Hibiya moved, afraid of scaring him off.

The comer of Delic's mouth twitched upwards in a smile as he noticed Hibiya's eyes flicker to his lips and then back to his eyes. Becoming bold, Delic leaned in more, a few centimeters from the other teen's mouth, his and Hibiya's breaths mingling.

Just as Delic was about to kiss him, the golden-eyed boy chickened out, breaking his trance. Instead of soft lips, Delic kissed Hibiya's cheek when he suddenly turned his head.

"I-I don't want to get hurt," Hibiya admitted, looking to the library floor as Delic tried to process what happened. Delic's eyebrows furrowed in mild frustration, though they soon smoothed out.

"I won't hurt you, I pro-" Hibiya quickly interrupted him, not wanting to hear anymore.

"Don't make promises you can't keep," the raven practically hissed, not wanting to be told lies. His mouth was set in a frown that hadn't quite reached his golden eyes yet.

Delic had meant it. At least he wouldn't tryto hurt the raven. There truly was something different about Hibiya that made him unique and special.

Uggghhhhh I still feel horrible. Sorry guys
