"I really hope I didn't break the past," said Lily. "Rumpelstiltskin warned me that might happen."

"Lily, if I may ask," said Emma, "Why was it you who was sent back?"

"We didn't want to risk anyone meeting their past self. It had to be someone who could go back to around this time and not be born yet, which left only me, Nadia, and Henry's kids. I was the only adult."

"Do you have anything more specific on the mind stuff, before we just go and knock on Mary-Lynn's door?" said Bae.

"When Arydia was born, she inherited the weird stuff that Mary-Lynn had. Mom didn't fix it with her spell, she just pulled us to somewhere without magic so it wasn't in effect anymore. But that didn't stop it from happening to Arydia, whether it was the magical genes or just being young or whatever. It was when Dustin was born that they started spreading it, though, the two of them made everyone around them go crazy for brief moments. Mom, it made you kind of go nuts. You had the longest amounts of time of being... different. But it didn't affect any of the adults as much as the kids. Mary-Lynn went out of town for some... business trip, and that's when we made this plan."

"You went behind my wife's back?"

"She wouldn't have liked this. Any of it."

"Wait, if we had no magic, how did you get back here?" Emma asked.

"Um... we went to the Evil Queen for help."

"What?!"

"It was your idea. Anyway, it worked; Nadia found the spell and she cast it."

"Why did she help?"

"I'm not sure, I think she found Arydia cute."

"So, can you lay out the phases of Operation... Bunny Rabbit?"

"Phase 1 was locate Mary-Lynn. Phase 2 is make contact. Phase 3 is figure out why she was susceptible to the beacon specifically, considering that there's plenty of lonely kids in the world. The rest will be revealed when it's time."

"Lily, you're our daughter, stop treating us like kids."

"Just doing what older you told me to do."

"Fine. So how do we do Phases 2 and 3 when she doesn't know us and with no magic to help since we're stuck out here?"

"I'm thinking."

"Think faster!"

A woman opened the door and frowned when she saw Lily. "Who are you?"

"I'm Lily, I work for the cable company and was wondering if I could have a couple of minutes of your time."

"You look like a teenager."

"Fine, I intern with the cable company. Can I speak with you?"

The woman shook her head. "Not interested."

"Please, it'll only take five minutes."

"Oh... alright. Fine."

Mary-Lynn looked up and almost screamed, but the boy put a finger on his lips.

"Who are you? How'd you get in my room?"

"Henry. And I used the front door and walked upstairs while my sister talked to your mom."

"Oh. Okay."

"Look, I need you to tell your mom you want to go to this event." He slid the flyer Emma and Bae had designed onto her desk.

"A book club?"

"Tell her to drop you off there."

"Why should I trust you? You snuck into my room."

"We have something we need to tell you, but it has to be in secret. Tell your mom about this event, say you got the flyer at school and forgot to show it to her. Is that a deal?"

"Yeah, ok..."

Henry went out and texted Lily, who was outside in a couple of minutes. "I think Mary-Lynn's mother hates me, but whatever. Success?"

"Yeah."

"Great. Do you think she'll do it?"

"I hope so."

"If she doesn't, we're screwed."

"Yeah, but if she does, we're well on the way to stopping that weird future stuff you talked about."

"Right." Lily smiled. "You're a cool kid, Henry, I wasn't sure given older you."

"Do I turn out weird?"

"No, just kind of boring."

"Oh. Well, I lived the first ten years of my life not knowing magic existed." He glared over at Emma and Bae. "They lied to me."

"You tried to hide magic from your kids, so you're one to talk."

"Did I really?"

"Yeah. And you utterly failed, I might add."

"And you're here to fix that."

"Pretty much."
