CHAPTER 10
She was even more beautiful then I remembered. The dark eyes that hunted my every minute were now on me. Her dark hair was even darker because she was all wet and Damn of that didn't make her even more sexy.
"What are you doing here?" I said getting up fast.
"I am here for the party. Liam told me it was happening this weekend and he invited to stay here into tomorrow." She said looking confused. "Where is he?"
"Your friend forgot to tell you that the party was moved for next mouth." I said the words coming from my mouth with more hate than I imagined. "You can go back to the hole you came from now."
"Come on, Amy." She said getting closer to me. "You are not going to make me take to road in the rain, are you?"
She touched my arm and I felt myself get into her control again like always happen when she is around.
"No, that would be rude." The words came out from my mouth before I could control them. "Of course you can stay."
"Amy" Shane said shaking my arm but my eyes were on Reagan. "She is doing it again."
"Amy" Someone else says touching my arm and this time I was capable of looking away from Reagan and to Karma who is standing on my side. "Can I talk to you for a second?"
"Sure." I said pulling my arm away from Reagan and fallowing Karma to another room. I locked the door and look at her. She is standing far away from me but her presence is too strong. We look into each other eyes for a second and stayed in silence for another. The memory from the kiss is replaying on my mind and for the look on her face on hers too.
"So, that is Reagan." Karma said breaking the silence. "I can see now what you meat when you told me you can resist her."
I didn't say anything just stared at her feeling a strong desire to tele transport or make myself invisible.
"Are you really let her stay here?" Karma asked me and her face was almost sad. "I don't know what happened between you and her but…"
"She was the daughter of the principle." I said my voice sounding broken. "The one before you father."
"So you have a type." She said with a smirk on her face. "And here I was thinking that I was the only one."
"It is different with you." I heard the words came out of my mouth before I can control them. Karma who was clearly joking looked at me with a serious expression. "I know how that sounded and I wouldn't believe me too if I was in your position but it's truth."
She opened her mouth one, two, three times and no word came out of it.
"Don't worry I am not doing this to seduce you. I am not even sure why I told you that." I said smiling a little but nothing about this moment was funny. "I guess I just wanted to make sure that you knew that before I told you the whole story."
She continued in silence and I looked away unable to maintain wye contact with her.
"I don't think that we have time for you to know everything." I mumbled waiting for someone to open the door and save me from myself. "I loved her. Sometimes I think I still do. She was the first girl I fall for and I fall hard for her only to find out she was playing me the whole time. She and Liam had some scheme to manipulate me and they are the reason I am the way I am now."
I laugh a little realizing the irony of the situation. I heard Karma give two steps towards me and walked away before she could get to me.
"Before you feel sorry for me. You have to know that I was planning to do…"
"Amy." Shane called before opening the door. "I think you and Karma should go back to the room before I kill Regan and dispose her body on the garbage where is her place."
"Shut up you idiot." Reagan said appearing on the door too. "Amy I am going to your room get a shower and change clothes. You don't care if I wear that cute shirt I gave to you, do you?"
"I don't have it anymore." I said remembering that shirt. "Shane burned in a bonfire a few weeks ago."
"That was a good moment." Shane said smiling and I heard Karma chuckle behind me.
"No problem." Reagan said ignoring they and looking at me. "I will be waiting for you on your room. You still sleep in the same room don't you?"
"Actually." Karma stepped in. "My boyfriend is going to sleep in Amy's room this night." She looked to me. "Amy is going to sleep in my room tonight."
"She is?" Shane and Reagan asked at the same time that I asked.
"I am?"
"Yes, you are." Karma said getting closer to me. "Don't you remember what you Aunt told us?"
"I…"
"I remember." Shane told stepping in to. "She told us that Karma shouldn't sleep at the same room as her boyfriend because her parents didn't want that."
"For what I can remember this house have a lot of other rooms." Reagan said smirking at me. "You are not trying to avoiding me are you?"
"I…"
"The rooms of the other level are with some problem and only the ones of the first floor are being used." Karma said before I can say something stupid. "One is Laura's, one is mine, one is Amy's were Trevor is going to sleep and one is Shane's."
"No problem." Reagan said shrugging. "Amy and I sleep on Liam's room since he is not here. It is going to be like last summer."
"I don' want to sleep with you." I said finally recovering my ability of speak again. "You are going to sleep alone in your own room and leave me alone into tomorrow."
"Are passing the chance to be with me?" She asked me surprised. To be honest I was surprised too. "That is new."
"Do you really think that you would have me in your hand forever?" I asked getting mad at her. "You are unbelievable."
"What is unbelievable is the fact that you think you can get over me." She said getting closer to me. "We both know that we are meant to be. Sooner or later you will realize that and will stop fighting against it."
"Karma?" Trevor called opening the door. "I am tired can we go to sleep now?"
"Sure." She said walking towards him but not before give me concerned look. I nodded to confirm it was okay and she walked away with him.
"Oh my god." Reagan said bringing my attention back to her. "You are falling for this girl. That is why you are passing the chance to be with me tonight."
"The reason I am not interested in you anymore is because you are a selfish little bitch that think can control everyone with a smile and a handful of words." I said and my words shocked me, she and Shane that was watching us with his jaw dropped not believing what he was seeing. "The fact that I was in love with you is so stupid now that makes me want to go back in time and give myself a lecture about stupidity."
"You don't know what you are saying." She yelled at me. "I am the love of your life."
"Correction: You were the biggest mistake of my life." I said and for the first time on a long agonizing time, I feel my chest getting lighter with every word. "And I am never… ever commit it again."
She looked at me in complete shock and I could see she didn't believe in what was happening.
"Now, go find a room to sleep before I change my mind and kick you out of my house."
I said and started to walk away from the room when she grabbed my arm and pushed me back. She was furious now.
"You are going to regret this." She threatened but I just pushed my arm back.
"What are you going to do? Pretend to care about me and then break my heart in a million pieces?" I ask and then start laughing. "You know what they say: You can't break a broken heart."
With that amazing line that I totally stole from a song, I walked away and broke the chain that was holding me to her. She was by my side clapping at me and saying that he was proud of me but I knew that the only reason I was able to do that was Karma. The way she looked at me this morning and a few seconds ago ignite something that I thought it was dead inside me. In 24 hours she made me have hope that I could be someone good for her but I knew that I couldn't do that if I continued to lie to her about the bet.
"Shane?" I asked and he was smiling at me into he saw my face.
"You are going to tell her, aren't you?" He said and I nodded. "You know that you can lose any chance that you have with her tonight don't you?"
"If I don't tell her the truth." I started and I knew inside that I was doing the right choice. "Then I would never really get a chance."
"What you want me to do?" He said sighing.
"Just make sure that her boyfriend or Reagan look for us tonight."
"I already did that." He said and I raised an eyebrow. "I might have put some Somalium on their tea. They are going to sleep like a baby tonight." HE said looking extremely guilt. "What? You would have done the same."
I just laughed and started to walk towards Karma's room preparing myself for the most important moment of my life so far.
