Okay, this chapter is going to be short. The last bit is really just Jack testing out his newfound something or another that you'll just have to read and find out about. I hope you all still enjoy this, despite the craziness that I have just put into it.

...

Chase looked at Jack as Jack gawked at him in complete and utter shock. He was sure that Jack thought he had gone crazy or something came loose from his last fight, which he had thought for a moment himself when he had considered it. However, it was something that he wanted to try out, and he always had a failsafe in case it failed. He simply wanted to be sure Jack was on board before he did anything.

"Well?" Chase snapped.

"You're serious?!" Jack exclaimed.

"I'm not one for jokes, Jack," Chase replied.

"And you're sure about this?" Jack inquired, "I mean, there are so many better candidates that you could choose from!"

"Are there?" Chase countered, "If I was to choose one of my own colleagues, they would take advantage of the situation as would the monks, had I chosen one of them."

Jack nodded as Chase did have a valid point, "Then, if you are sure, I accept."

Chase smiled as he began the ritual he had set up after the proper preparations. He was nervous, admittedly so, and he knew that Jack might take advantage of it himself for a while, but he trusted him. Chase forced himself to power through it as the idea nauseated him to no end and the dragon inside was scraping to get out and kill any witnesses around. He was fighting to finish when it started to become difficult to continue, his strength being drained from him. He could hear Jack moaning in pain as he neared the end. He had already been brought to his knees by this point, but you were your own worst enemy, weren't you? They both collapsed in exhaustion when he finally had finished.

"Chase," Jack panted, "I'm starting to think you have lost a few screws in that last fight."

Chase chuckled, "Maybe so, but what doesn't kill you makes you..."

"Stranger," Jack interrupted.

Chase's eyes narrowed as he glanced at Jack, but the smirk had managed to stay on his face. Something caught his eye as he glanced down at his right hand to find an insignia on it. He lifted it to look at it better. Inside an Ouroboros was a pentagram with an eye in the center, much like the eye on his belt. Jack was passed out face first in the floor. Chase took notice of something familiar in between his shoulder blades and crawled to investigate. Sure enough, the same insignia was there in between Jack's shoulders where his heart would be.

"Chase? What are you doing?" Jack asked.

"So, you're not out cold?" Chase growled humorously.

"Surprisingly, no," Jack replied.

"Well, the ritual worked," Chase stated as he arched his back, feeling his vertebrae snap back into place.

"Whoopee," Jack moaned sarcastically, "you do realize that once everyone finds out, they are going to laugh at you before they try to kill me, right?"

"I'm well aware of that," Chase retorted, "I took that into consideration."

"Great, very comforting," Jack growled. "Well, if I am your master now, then your first order is to take me back to bed so I can sleep this hangover off."

Chase felt it odd that when he tried to hiss at the word, "master," he instead bit his tongue. He relayed it to the ritual's work as he felt himself be compelled to obey, even if he was obeying reluctantly. If he had to describe the sensation, he could relate to how a horse was compelled to follow their rider's wishes by the bit in their mouth, but the sensation consumed his entire body. Slowly, he picked himself up and made his way over to Jack. He gently rolled Jack into his arms before he stood and carried him to his room.

"I truly have gone mad, haven't I?" He muttered as he realized with a new dawning horror at what he just subjected himself to.

"It won't be so bad Chase," Jack chirped as he took advantage of the fact that Chase could no longer refuse him wrapping his arms around him. "I'm not as immature as I used to be, and at least I won't tell you to spread them like Wuya would."

Chase stopped and froze as he glared at Jack and muttered, "Don't even joke about that."

"Sorry, I'm sorry, I don't even know why I said that," Jack said in mild alarm as he stroked Chase's hair back in a soothing manner. It was enough to get Chase moving again as he wondered how he was going to get that image out of his head now. "I wonder how it would have turned out if you had chosen Selene instead."

Chase rolled his eyes as he sighed in aggravation, "She's not the type. If she was to be in control, she'd be more like the captain of a ship, while what she says goes, it is the first mate who is actually barking out the orders."

"How would you know that?" Jack asked curiously.

"There are some people who are just easy to read," Chase explained, "I highly doubt that she even considers herself the mysterious type like some women like to think they are."

"Like Wuya does?" Jack teased.

Chase snorted, "That witch is about as mysterious as a pebble." Jack chuckled at that before they continued discussing other things in this odd casual light.

Chase sighed in exhaustion as he glared dully at Jack, who had picked out another top for him to try on. If there was one thing that he didn't expect when he considered Jack for his... it even hurt thinking of the word, but the last thing he had expected was a wardrobe change. He stood there as he watched Jack compared the color to his skin tone or if it brought out his eyes. He rolled his eyes as he stood there obediently thinking, I bet Alucard doesn't have this problem, and his master is a woman. He sighed in exhaustion as Jack grabbed his wrist and drag him to the dressing room. He tolerated Jack shoving him into a stall, ordering him to try on the clothes he had grabbed.

"Jack, I don't do suits," Chase moaned, feeling that uncomfortable feeling of the bit.

"I know, and that's why I want to see," Jack snapped back.

"Fine," Chase sighed.

He slowly took off his clothing before slowly putting on the clothing Jack had handed him. When he buttoned the last button, he looked at his reflection in the mirror. He was surprised to say the least that he actually looked good, but then laughed at his own foolishness, of course he looked good. That definitely could be attributed to his vanity, something that certainly caused his failure on occasion. He put on his signature glare as he walked out for Jack to see. By the look on Jack's face, he could already tell that Jack was liking the idea of him wearing suits, which was confirmed when he turned and immediately started grabbing more suits off the rack. He groaned as he pinched the bridge of his nose. This day is going to be too long, he thought miserably. He grunted when Jack grabbed his wrist and started dragging him to the checkout counter.

"Jack, I need to put my other clothes back on," Chase exclaimed.

"No time, I need you to pay for these before you get a chance to change your mind," Jack exclaimed back.

"So, you're going to have them scan the clothes on me?" Chase yelled in trepidation.

Scanning meant touching, and he hated it when people touched him without his permission. Plus, there was now nothing he could do about it. It was too late, he was stuck standing there with a rather uncharacteristic, grumpy pout on his face as he was subjected to having the clerk scan the items on his body. It was bad enough he had to pay for it himself, but to have to feel that girl ogling him was more frustrating than he wanted to bear. Jack thought nothing of it as he handed her Chase's money. Jack then wrapped an arm around his and "escorted" Chase back to the dressing room before ripping off the tags and telling him to grab his clothes so they could leave. Chase sighed as he grabbed his belongings, placed them in one of the bags, and followed Jack out. This is going to be a very long day, he thought morosely.

...

Chase: I loathe you.

MsN: Get in line. Alucard can point you to the end.

Snape: Why him?

MsN: Because he's the bouncer that smacks them if they get out of line.

Alucard grins evilly.

Snape: I'm sure it's not that long. ^^;

MsN: Hey, I don't care besides it's satisfying to watch Alucard beat on people.

Chase & Snape: That explains a lot.

MsN: Hmm? O.o
