Lapis is on the couch, with her eyes closed, thinking about what Ruby told her a week ago. She told her that if she was Lapis, she would tell Peridot everything. She even said that things could turn out just fine. However, Lapis still wonders if she is strong enough to tell her.

"Hello, Lazuli." Peridot suddenly appears.

"Hello Peri..." Lapis opens her eyes.

"What are you doing?" Peridot asks.

"Thinking."

"There is something I could do for you?" Peridot sits next to Lapis's feet.

"I don't think so." Lapis closes her eyes again and takes a deep breath. "Do you wanna take a walk?"

"Where?"

"Surprise." Lapis looks at Peridot and smiles.

"Okay. Let's go." Peridot stands up.

"Wait, let me take something first." Lapis catches Steven's mp3.

They walk towards the war pad and Lapis warps them on a island, a beautiful and calm one.

"Here we are!" Lapis opens her arms.

"Cool!" Peridot looks around.

Lapis sits on the sand and Peridot does the same. They look at the Sunset.

"Peri, can I ask you something?" Lapis looks at the Sun kissing the ocean.

"Yes."

"Have you ever fused?" Lapis asks, calmly.

"No." Peridot lies down on the sand. "I tried once, but it didn't exactly go as I expected." Peridot closes her eyes and let the wind tickle her cheeks. "Have you ever fused? I mean, with anyone that was not Jasper."

"No." Lapis holds her knees next to her chest. "Malachite was my first fusion and, as you know, it was not the best to start with." Lapis makes a wry smile.

"I know we talked about it before, but I will tell you again. There will come a day when you will find someone you are comfortable to fuse with. A gem who makes you feel safe and loved. Someone way better than Jasper. Someone who cares about you and your feelings. A gem you trust." Peridot takes a deep breath and smiles. "You will know when the time comes."

Lapis stares Peridot for a while and then looks at the ocean again.

"Hey, Peri?"

"Yes?" Peridot opens one of her eyes.

Lapis started to searches for a song into Steven's mp3. A music Lapis listened on the radio once starts and Lapis stands up.

"Come on Peri. Let's dance." Lapis holds Peridot's hand.

"W-wait! W-what?" Peridot freaks out.

The singer starts to sing.

'All I knew this morning when I woke...'

And they start to dance separated.

'Is I know something now, know something now I didn't before...'

Both smile at each other.

'And all I've seen since 18 hours ago is green eyes and freckles and your smile...'

Lapis looks into Peridot's eyes, while the other one is dancing and smiling.

"How can you be so beauty?" Lapis whispers to herself.

'In the back of my mind making me feel right. I just want to know you better know. You better know you better now...'

Those lyrics of the song repeat three more times, while Lapis looks at Peridot.

"It's now or never!" Lapis tells herself.

"Cause all I know is we said hello and your eyes looked like coming home..." Lapis sings for Peridot, who stops dancing once she notices Lapis looking at her, while singing for her. Peridot first reaction is blush really hard.

The green gem is really surprised.

"All I know is a simple name, everything has changed..." Lapis continues.

Peridot smiles at her and nods with the head, what makes Lapis surprised.

Peridot gets closer to Lapis, who holds Peridot's hand and they start to dance together.

Lapis hugged Peridot's neck and continued dancing.

"You'll be mine and I'll be yours. All I know since yesterday is everything has changed..." Lapis sings, when Peridot kisses her. During the kiss, their gems start to glow and, in a flash, a different gem appeared.

"Oh, we did it!"

"Awesome!"

The new fusion has Peridot's fingers, Lazuli's wings and dress. The gem is a mix of blue and green. The fusion has green hair, in the shape of a star, and her skin is light green.

"Oh, I'm the best." The fusion says.

"What's your name?" It is Lapis and Peridot asking her.

"Azurite." The fusion giggles.

She is so happy to finally exist. Azurite stops to listen the rest of the song.

"Everything has changed." Azurite sings.

The fusion runs around the beach, however, once she touches the water, Peridot's side feels uncomfortable and then they unfuse.

"I am sorry." Peridot shouts.

"It is fine." Lapis giggles and crawls towards Peridot.

"It is not fine. It was your first time fusing after Malachite and I ruined it."

"You didn't ruin it. This was the best thing I've ever done in my entire existence. The best fusion ever." Lapis places her hand on Peridot's cheek and smiles. "How did you fell?"

"It was amazing." Peridot smiles. "Now, I do understand why Garnet is fused all the time." She giggles and touches Lapis's hand.

"Peri?" Lapis looks at the sand.

"Lapis?" Peridot places her fingers on Lapis's chin and, gently, makes the other gem look at her.

"Peri, I-I..." Lapis doesn't know how to start the subject.

"You?"

"Me?"

"You're so silly, Lazuli." Peridot laughs, making Lapis blush and look at the ground again.

"Lapis, look at me."

"Peridot... I..." Lapis looks into her eyes.

"I know, Lapis and I want to say 'me too'." Peridot gets closer to Lapis's face. "Me too..." Peridot whispers and gently kisses Lapis on her lips.

Lapis starts to cry, but those tears are what Steven calls 'happy tears'. The blue gem jumps on Peridot, hugging the other gem. Lapis kisses the green gem back and lies down on Peridot's chest, who starts to play with her hair.

"Peridot?"

"Yes?"

"I love you." Lapis finally says.

"I love you too." Peridot smiles, kissing Lapis's head. Both stay quiet for a while, just enjoying each other's arms.

"Shouldn't we return to the temple?" Lapis asks her.

"Not now. I'm enjoying this moment." Peridot smiles and looks at the moon.

"Lapis?"

"Yes?" She looks at the moon as well.

"Do you wanna be my girlfriend?"

Lapis takes a deep breath and smiles. "Of course I do." She gets her face closer to the other one. "I want to be your girlfriend." She gently kisses Peridot's lips, making the green gem smile, while she places her arms around Lapis, who closes her eyes and lies down the head on Peridot's chest.

"Good dreams, Lapis." Peridot kisses her head.
