Hey guys! Sorry it's been so long since I updated, my exams will start soon and my beta has been really busy, which is why I thank her even more for making the time to beta read :) Sadly, this story is almost coming to an end, but I really like this chapter, and I hope you guys do so too. Thanks to teithant, Hanyoualchemist1, ShadowNinja1011 and ZeldaLinkFan for reviewing. Also a huge thanks to BlueFrenchHorn97 for beta reading.

I had come back to the Temple of Time quite some time ago.

I had brought the horse back to Malon and had accepted a dinner and a bottle of fresh Lon Lon milk before I left. I had the idea her father wanted to set me up with her, since he told me that his girl had been waiting for a knight in shining armor to come get her since she was small. This had resulted in Malon, her face as red as a tomato, yelling at her dad and apologizing to me. I found it to be very funny. If they only knew…

But the feeling of glee had disappeared when I had entered this Temple. It had been replaced with anxiety.

My belly just hurt. I wanted to tell him who I was so desperately trough my whole quest, and now the moment was finally drawing near, I couldn't.

I just didn't know how to say it.

Of course, I could just transform and be like, 'You know, I was Zelda the whole time', but that was not how I wanted to tell him.

The plan was that after I had told him, he would head to Ganondorf's castle. With the help of the sages, a bridge would appear, allowing him to enter his castle. There, he would have to overcome many traps, monsters… And if that wasn't enough, he would have to battle Ganondorf in the end. And if he succeeded, Hyrule would be free.

But chances were that he wouldn't.

And that was what really scared me. Because this time could be the last time we ever had the chance to talk. This could be the last time we were both alive.

I knew I had to hope, but this was the King of Evil we were speaking of. This was the man that had killed half of my kingdom. This was the man that had killed my father. How was Link, just a child trapped in an adults body, supposed to defeat him? I knew he was the Hero of Time, and that he had all the sages and goddesses watch over him. I knew that, I did. But the chance that he wouldn't survive was so big, it made me frightened.

But I also knew I wasn't going to sit back and watch him do it. That wasn't why I had changed into Sheik. I would help. I would fight with him, by his side. Even if only his sword, the Master Sword, could do actual damage to Ganondorf, I wouldn't leave him alone.

He had been alone for far too much during his quest.

But that wasn't the main focus right now. I had to think about my transformation back to Zelda, back to me.

Obviously I had to pray to Nayru to really do the trick, but the one thing that worried me was my outfit, or rather my whole appearance. I wanted to stay Sheik for just a moment so I could explain Link the whole back story of the Triforce. He needed to know. And I figured it would be best if Sheik explained it so he wouldn't be shocked and distracted through my explanation of his further fate.

After then would be my moment to transform. So he could see it was me. But I just hoped that Nayru would help me out on this one.

I also had to give him light arrows, powerful weapons created by the goddesses that could repel evil and penetrate Ganondorfs defenses. It really was the only valuable thing I could do to help, and he needed them.

I was sat on the ground of the Temple when I felt it. Nabooru was safe, and Link would come here. I stood up, ready to face him. Though I still was as anxious as before, if not even more…

But before he would come here, Rauru, would tell him that all the sages had been awakened which meant it was time for the final showdown with Ganondorf. He would also tell him he should first meet up with me…

I sighed, and stood in front of the hall which was the entrance to the Temple, in front of where he would appear. My heart was beating fast against my chest and my breathing became heavier. I felt like I was going to be sick any time. A bluish light appeared in front of me, and I inhaled deeply. He appeared in front of me, just like he had done months ago. It seemed like years now.

He turned around and looked at me. He nodded, and the look in his eyes said it all. This was the end. He knew it.

"I have been waiting for you, Link. Link, the Hero of Time... You have overcome many hardships and awakened six Sages. And now you have a final challenge, a showdown with Ganondorf, the King of Evil... Before that... I have things I want to tell only to you. Please listen. Another unknown legend of the Triforce passed down by the shadow folk, the Sheikahs..." This story had been told to me by Impa many times, and I remembered it perfectly.

"If you would seek the sacred triangle, listen well... The resting place of the sacred triangle, the Sacred Realm, is a mirror that reflects what is in the heart... the heart of one who enters it... If an evil heart, the Realm will become full of evil; if pure, the Realm will become a paradise. The Triforce...the sacred triangle... it is a balance that weighs the three forces: Power, Wisdom and Courage. If the heart of the one who holds the sacred triangle has all three forces in balance, that one will gain the True Force to govern all. But, if that one's heart is not in balance, the Triforce will separate into three parts: Power, Wisdom and Courage. Only one part will remain for the one who touched the Triforce...the part representing the force that one most believes in. If that one seeks the True Force, that one must acquire the two lost parts. Those two parts will be held within others chosen by destiny, who will bear the Triforce mark on the backs of their hands."

Link stepped forward. I sighed. "Seven years ago, Ganondorf, the King of Thieves, used the door you opened in the Temple of Time and entered the Sacred Realm. But when he laid his hands on the Triforce, the legend came true. The Triforce separated into three parts. Only the Triforce of Power remained in Ganondorf's hand. The strength of the Triforce of Power enabled him to become a mighty, evil king, but his dark ambitions were not satisfied. To gain complete mastery of the world, Ganondorf started looking for those chosen by destiny to hold the two other Triforce parts. The one who holds the Triforce of Courage is... You, Link! And the other, who holds the Triforce of Wisdom... is the seventh Sage, who is destined to be the leader of them all..." I held my hand in front of my face, and I felt my piece of the Triforce light up on my hand.

I started praying like mad. 'Dear goddess of Wisdom, please get rid of my disguise, which is no longer needed. I wish to get my true form back. Please, I beg you…' Suddenly my Triforce mark gave off a golden light which surrounded me. I felt my body changing back to its original state including skin color, eye color and my hair, growing long again. I felt my clothes, changing into an outfit I had never worn before, but I was somehow destined to do so. It was a pretty pink and white dress, which fitted a princess perfectly. I opened my blue eyes and met Links, which were full with shock.

I smiled. "It is I, the Princess of Hyrule, Zelda. I apologize for meeting you in disguise, but it was necessary to hide from the King of Evil. Please forgive me..." I started walking towards him. "On that day, seven years ago, Ganondorf attacked Hyrule Castle." I suddenly got a vivid flashback.

"Open the gates!" Impa yelled commandingly.

Suddenly I felt the urge to look behind. Behind us was the man that had caused this all: The man that was pure evil, the man that had killed my father. He was a large Gerudo, complete with green skin, yellow eyes and red hair, Ganondorf.

"Impa! Quick! It is him!" I yelled desperately. He was still quite far away, but his black steed was fast.

The gates opened and we rode out as fast as we could. But when we were past the river, I saw a confused and surprised looking boy standing there, dressed in green and accompanied by a fairy: Link. I quickly took the blue ocarina, and tossed it to Link. The only thing I could do now was hope that he would take the ocarina and everything would be clear for him. He could do this. I was sure of it. I held onto the horse as it rode us far into the unknown distance of Hyrule field.

"I saw you as I was escaping from the castle with my attendant, Impa. I thought I should entrust the Ocarina to you... I thought that would be our best chance..." My flashback stopped, and my mind was brought back into the Temple. "As long as you had the Ocarina in your possession, I thought Ganondorf could never enter the Sacred Realm, but... something I could never expect happened... After you opened the Door of Time, the Master Sword sealed you away in the Sacred Realm... Your spirit remained in the Sacred Realm...and then the Triforce fell into Ganondorf's hands. He went on to invade the Sacred Realm... Ganondorf had become the Evil King, and the Sacred Realm became a world of evil.

"All of this is an unfortunate coincidence. I passed myself off as a Sheikah and hoped that you would return. I waited for seven years... And...now you are back. The dark age ruled by Ganondorf the Evil King will end!" I smiled. "The six Sages will open the sealed door and lure Ganondorf back into the Sacred Realm. I will then seal the door to the Sacred Realm from this world. Thus, Ganondorf the Evil King will vanish from Hyrule. Link... In order to do this, I need your courage again. Please protect me while I do my part. And here is a weapon that can penetrate the Evil King's defenses... The power given to the chosen ones... The sacred Arrow of Light!" I prayed to the goddesses and a circle of light surrounded me. A ball of light containing the arrows formed above my raised arms and went over to Link.

I looked in his eyes. I needed to tell him about my feelings. "Link… I-"

Suddenly a great rumbling filled the room. Everything was shaking and my heart dropped. I gasped. "That rumbling...It can't be!?"

Abruptly a purple crystal encased me. I started panicking immediately. No! I tried to use my magic, but it had no use. I had to stay calm, I thought to myself. Freaking out was pointless.

"No!" Link yelled as he started banging on the glass, using all his force.

Suddenly a loud voice sounded in the Temple. "Princess Zelda… you foolish traitor! I commend you for avoiding my pursuit for seven long years. But you let your guard down… I knew you would appear if I let this kid wander around!"

I started hitting the glass to. "No! No please!" I started praying, but something stopped me. Suddenly something struck me, and I felt paralyzed.

Ganondorf continued. "My only mistake was to slightly underestimate the power of this kid…"

The crystal started to raise towards the ceiling.

"No! ZELDA!" Link yelled.

"No… It was not the kid's power I misjudged, it was the power of the Triforce of Courage! But, with the Triforce of Wisdom that Zelda has… When I obtain these two Triforces… Then, I will become the true ruler of the world! If you want to rescue Zelda, come to my castle!"

I disappeared, and I could hear a distant, loud, evil laugh booming trough the room.
