Author's Notes

To ShieraH, it looks like Raven's problem isn't an uncommon one across the globe - even demonlings can't swim naturally.

To Iskandar06, thanks for the suggestion. Ravager will likely make an appearance before the end of the story. Jericho, on the other hand, probably won't.

To Kaarlina, thanks for the review.

To Darkwarrior1010, Raven doesn't know how to swim, but she will learn how - in Betrayed, Cast Off, Angry, Raven is shown swimming almost perfectly, meaning she does learn how eventually.

To LordMesirix, the ending is definitely one that you aren't going to be able to predict since the poll is still up. At the moment, 15 people have voted and one ending does have a major lead over the others, which may be the one you selected. Raven is going to be entering much darker waters as the story continues, especially as Slade begins to corrupt her.

To Angel of Azarath, the show did fail to go into depth for a lot of characters - Raven not excluded, as there was a lot about her the show could only glimpse upon, being that it was trying to be a kids show and her story was a lot darker. Hopefully, stories can go deeper into the characters that we all wish we could own, but we don't (my first disclaimer, wouldn't ya know?)

To guest, Slade may be a diabolical mastermind, but he does have his methods of teaching. Raven is going to experience that a lot now, and should soon force her to question where she belongs.

Remember to vote in the poll!

Now, let's continue the story.

October 17, 2015. It has been almost a month since the Titans last saw Raven in the sewers while searching for the Chronoton Detonator, and after so long, their efforts in locating her have been entirely unsuccessful. Wherever Slade was keeping her, it was definitely one the Titans weren't going to find anytime soon.

Crime had neither accelerated nor decelerated in the past few weeks with Raven's disappearance. Amongst the criminals brought down by the Teen Titans included Gizmo (who was trying to steal Cyborg's T-Car, but was intercepted before he could leave the city by the Titans), Johnny Rancid (who robbed a diamond store but was ultimately brought down by Robin after crashing his motorcycle), and Katarou (who tried to steal an ancient staff from a museum but was taken down by Starfire).

The Titans never lost hope that Raven would be found, but after so long, it was beginning to take its toll on them, and their odds of finding her were decreasing rapidly. They were probably going to need a new Titan to take her place.

Fortunately, there just happened to be someone running for their lives in the desert outside of Jump City, someone who may make a great Titan. If that person weren't about to be killed.

This person, a young girl with long blonde hair, a silver butterfly hair clip, and blue eyes, a gray long-sleeve T-shirt and denim shorts, a dark gray crop top with black sleeves, hiking boots, leather gloves, and goggles, was running for her life.

What was chasing her - none other than an unusually large scorpion, say twice her size and ready to claim a meal of girl. And it just so happened that this desert happened to be in sight of Titans Tower.

The girl tried to avoid the scorpion as best she could but it sent its stinging tail her way, nearly hitting her but knocking her off-balance away from her path, also knocking her butterfly hair clip off.

Before the girl could reach the hair clip, the scorpion struck again, trying to hit the girl. She continued to run, soon finding herself in a dead-end, with nowhere to run to and the scorpion about to claim her. It seemed like the end for the girl.

However, the scorpion looked up to see four others had come - the Teen Titans. Robin readied his bo-staff, Starfire's eyes were glowing green as two starbolts formed in her hands, Cyborg got his sonic cannon ready to fire, while Beast Boy was a wolf.

Robin cried out, "Titans go!"

Before they could attack the scorpion, the girl suddenly smirked a cruel smile and her eyes began to glow yellow as her hair flew around. A tremor suddenly shook as nearby rock began to fall from the canyon walls, soon falling towards the scorpion.

The scorpion managed to dodge one such rock but found itself crushed by a much larger piece of rock. It squirmed in agony for a few seconds before unleashing its final screech, now dead like a squat bug.

The girl, noticing her hair is all out of whack, pushed it back into place before going to find her hair clip. The Titans, meanwhile, were nothing short of stunned by this girl.

Starfire noted, "She was not in trouble."

Cyborg added, "She was leading it into a trap."

Robin inquired, "Question is..."

Beast Boy, after assuming human form again, finished, "...who is she?"

A few minutes later, the girl returned with her hair pin, and soon went back to her original position before noticing the Titans above her.

She grabbed a rock before jumping onto it and floated up towards the Titans, performing a backflip off of the rock before facing the Titans again.

While the Titans were awe, the girl rhetorically asked, "What? Haven't you guys seen a superhero before?"

After a second of quiet disbelief, Robin stepped up and greeted, "I'm Robin. We're the...", raising his hand for a handshake.

The girl finished, pounding her fist against his hand, "...Teen Titans. Rock on! It's cool to meet you guys. I'm Terra and you're..."

She continued as she pointed at each Titan, "...Cyborg, Starfire, and..."

Beast Boy tried to introduce himself with, "Boy Beast! Uh, I mean, Bass Boot! No!" It looks Beast Boy was incredibly awkward in these types of situations.

Terra continued, "Beast Boy?"

In incredible anxiety, the changeling turned into a turtle before ducking into his shell.

Terra laughed for a second, adding, "Dude! He's hilarious!"

Beast Boy, hearing her comment, changed back into a human and quickly inquired, "Hilarious! Me really?"

Terra gave him a wink as hearts floated around him that soon knocked him unconscious.

Starfire approached the geomancer and asked, "Curiousity abound. Please." She proceeded to rapidly fire off, "Where do you come from, how did you get here, what is your favorite color, do you wish to be my friend?"

Terra, after thinking for a moment, answered, "Um, Earth, walked, red, and sure."

Starfire then embraced Terra in a crushing hug, exclaiming, "Hello new friend!"

Terra, under very strangled breaths, commented, "How's it going?"

Starfire released Terra a few moments later, when Terra was about to pass out from strangulation.

Beast Boy awoke and soon asked Terra, "So, what brings such a cool little chickie to our big groovy city, huh?"

Terra responded, "I go where the wind takes me, you know? I get to see new places, meet new people, stomp a few bad guys here and there."

Beast Boy sighed, "Cool."

Starfire exclaimed, "Fascinating!"

Cyborg commented, "Well, all right."

Robin inquired, "You mean, you don't have a home."

Terra answered, "The Earth is my home. I've been crashing in a cave on the other side of the hill." Makes sense, since she does manipulate earth. It'd make more sense for the Titans if they knew her secret - and she does have a secret.

Starfire screeched, "Unacceptable! I cannot permit my new friend to slumber in a lonely cave of darkness!"

Terra pulled from her pockets a flashlight, saying, "I have a flashlight."

Starfire replied, "You will stay with us!"

Terra muttered, "Really, I-I'm..."

Cyborg commented, "Come on, we've got plenty of room."

Beast Boy said, "Yeah! And I can make you laugh some more. I'm hilarious, remember?"

Terra noted, "Well, I guess I could stay one night."

Starfire exclaimed, "Oh glorious!"

Beast Boy yelled, "Yes!"

Cyborg shouted, "Boo-yah!"

With that, Beast Boy drags Terra back towards the Tower with Starfire flying away in glee.

Robin and Cyborg stayed behind to think about things for a minute. Cyborg asked, "Everything okay?"

Robin responded, "Not sure" as he picked up a moundful of dirt and let it fall. He continued, "Something just doesn't feel right."

Cyborg inquired, "You think this may have something to do with Raven?"

"It's too much of a coincidence. Her showing up while Raven is still missing."

"Still, we may need her help. Five sets of eyes beat four. We'll never find Slade on our own. Better safe than sorry?"

"Let's just hope this doesn't explode in our faces."

With that, Robin and Cyborg began heading back to the Tower. Little did they realize that said mastermind was watching them, the whole thing, from his base.

Back at Slade's lair, he had watched as the Titans met Terra. Slade-P had warned him about Terra, that her powers were too uncontrollable, as well as the fact that Terra had made Raven jealous.

Slade commented, "You might have her, but you don't know the truth about her. About either of your mystery girls."

Slade then left his control room and ventured into the gym where his apprentice was currently lifting weights, as per Slade's gym regimen. In the month since Slade began working her, Raven was currently bench-pressing fifty pounds without usage of her demon half. By the end of her first week, she had gained enough strength to easily lift twenty pounds and could now lift thirty five pounds without assistance.

Raven noticed Slade coming into the gym and quickly hung up the barbell, asking him, "What are you here for?"

Slade countered, "Can't I monitor the progress of my apprentice? I see you are following my regimen a little above the book. I was expecting you to only be pressing forty pounds by now."

"I was expecting you would want me to be ahead of schedule. Else you trigger the probes."

"Perceptive, my dear Raven. Now, I am about to add new training to your schedule."

"What else do you have to add other than additional physical and mental training?"

"Gadget training. In case you don't have access to your powers. Come, my dear."

With that, Raven grabbed a towel and wiped herself down from her exercise before following Slade to a nearby firing range.

Raven noticed the wide assortment of weapons on the rack, ranging from .22 LR handguns to rocket launchers. Raven inquired, "Aren't those overkill?" upon noticing the rocket launchers.

Slade replied, "You can never be too prepared. But you need not focus on the rack. I've already selected your weapon." He pointed out the thermal blaster on the seventh target station.

Raven commented, "No wonder you had me steal it. You wanted me to use it."

She walked up to the thermal blaster and felt it in her hands. She added, "Feels lighter than before."

Slade answered, "Because I've modified it for handheld use. The original blaster was a basic prototype for large cannons. Few were expecting a handheld version, many thought it couldn't be done."

"But you did it."

"To put it on, attach the magnetic base to your right wrist", noticing her difficulty in attaching the thermal blaster.

Raven noted the magnetic base and pointed it towards her right wrist as the blaster magically snapped into place on her wrist. "Thank you. Now how do I fire?"

"I can't give you all the answers, can I?"

Raven pointed the thermal blaster at a human-sized, human-looking paper target. She looked through what appeared to be a sight, and aimed it at the target's heart and fired.

Raven noted her blast was significantly low left as the blast impacted the target's left knee.

Slade commanded, "Again."

Raven re-sighted her thermal blaster, taking in account the hit on the previous target, and fired.

October 19, 2015. It's been two days since Terra arrived at Titans Tower. She quickly took a shine to Starfire's glorg, a dish that in her opinion, "tasted like sushi mixed with ice cream". Odd combination of flavors but when dealing with Starfire's cooking, all bets are off.

To say the least, Terra was jaw-droppingly impressed with Titans Tower, admiring the view of Jump City and the coast. Like they say, 'from their Tower, they can see it all'.

She also really needed a cleaning, resulting in a very dirty and muddy bathroom that took Cyborg quite a few hours to fix back up and clean. After handling her own body, Terra went to work on her simple attire, an outfit that has been evidently well-worn and starting to fade.

Terra commented to herself, "Come on, don't give out on me yet" while doing her laundry - her shirt, pants, crop top, boots, gloves, and underwear. She was especially careful with making sure that nobody went after her undergarnments.

Now, she was just crashing on the Titan couch with the few things she owned, well asleep.

The Titans were observing her from the door, trying to figure her out.

Robin noted, "Well she seems comfortable."

Beast Boy added, "Wonder how long it's been since she had a decent place to crash."

Cyborg interjected, "By the looks of the washing she did, probably a few weeks at least. She needs more than a place to crash."

Starfire said, "She needs a home."

Beast Boy suggested, "Why not our home? She could stay here with us."

Starfire screeched, "Yes!"

Robin replied, "I don't know." His suspicions about Terra were kicking in again - something was wrong with her but he didn't know what.

Cyborg commented, "She would make a good addition to the team. Hopefully she could help us find where Slade is and where Raven is."

Robin stated, "Maybe. Let's ask her to train with us tomorrow. We need to see what she can do."

Terra, upon hearing that last line, immediately woke up, not giving any signs to the Titans that she was awake. She was dreading being asked to train, as her secret would soon be revealed.

A few minutes later, after the Titans had left, Terra quickly put on her clothing and grabbed her little backpack before fleeing from the Tower. Before she could be too far gone, Beast Boy came back and said, "Hey, Terra. I...I thought you might want a blanket." He evidently noticed that his new love interest was just sleeping on the couch without a pillow or blanket.

He walked up to the couch to see that Terra was gone, but he did notice something out in the horizon. He walked up to the windows and saw someone was skipping stones, someone with an evidently petite frame.

Flying over to the area, he saw Terra using her powers to skip stones across the ocean.

After landing nearby, he turned into a human and joked, "I guess the couch was too lumpy?"

Terra turned around to Beast Boy and dejectedly mulled, "I can't stay."

Beast Boy asked, "Why not?"

"Places to go. People to see."

"Come on. You know you want to stay. We've got free cable, indoor plumbing, and all the tofu you can eat."

Terra snorted. "Tofu? You sure know how to charm a girl. I...I guess I could hang out for one more day."

Beast Boy was ecstatic, yelling, "Awesome! We're gonna have so much fun! And I can't wait to see what your powers do when you really cut 'em loose."

That last statement triggered something in Terra as her powers soon went haywire, her eyes glowing yellow as Beast Boy's rock sent the changeling right into the water.

After turning into a frog, he quickly swam back up to shore before returning into a human, albeit a green, wet human.

"Sorry! I'm sorry! I'm so stupid! Don't tell! Please don't tell!"

"Terra, it's okay. You can't totally control your powers. So what?"

"Promise you won't tell anybody - ever!" Terra did not want anybody to know her lack of control.

"Sure."

"Swear it?!"

"Okay! Okay! I promise! But really, it's no big deal. If my friends knew, they'd still like you." Beast Boy was obviously optimistic in that regard.

"You just don't understand. Everywhere I go, I try to do good, but my damned lack of control always causes chaos and disasters. I can't go anywhere without triggering something bad and they all turn on me. Everyone." Her secret is out, and she definitely is pessimistic that the Titans would still like her in the end.

"Not everybody can achieve perfect control that easily. With help from us, I'm pretty certain you can obtain the control you need."

"You know, there is something I have been meaning to ask now. Aren't there supposed to be five of you? You, Robin, Cyborg, Starfire, and..." Terra just couldn't remember the name of the fifth Titan, which seemed normal given that seeing her in public was a bit of a rarity, much less getting her to open up.

"...Raven."

"Where is she? Did she quit?"

"She's...on vacation. For a while now. We don't know where she is, though." He tried to be honest without revealing the entirety of the truth. The fewer non-Titans that knew Raven was missing, the better.

October 30, 2015. Slade was watching intently from his lair as the Titans were training in the gym. He had been impressed that the Titans had decided to accept Terra even after she demolished the obstacle course a week earlier (albeit completing it over twenty seconds faster than Cyborg).

A day later, the Titans were called into a situation at a bank where Andre LeBlanc was trying to make off with most of the money there. LeBlanc, a fairly inept thief, was surprisingly competent that day as he managed to elude Robin's bird-a-rangs, even managing to shoot one or two of them right out of the air with a handgun.

Starfire shot at LeBlanc with her starbolts but LeBlanc expertly manuvered Starfire into impacting into a truck, which definitely winded her as she fell down on her back.

Cyborg was able to up the pressure with his sonic cannon, forcing LeBlanc on the defensive for a change, but the thief had more tricks up in store as he snuck up behind Cyborg and sent him right down onto his back, almost stuck to the pavement.

Terra, getting aggravated that the villain was getting away, used her geokinesis to send rocks towards Andre LeBlanc, a strategy that the thief did not see coming as he was sent skyrocketing into the air before falling flat on his butt in pain. This attack also had an unforseen effect in that Terra's powers also blasted Beast Boy right into the bank by an errant piece of rock.

Upon seeing what she had done, she rushed into the bank and saw Beast Boy. She screamed, "Beast Boy! I'm sorry! I'm so, so, so, sorry!"

Beast Boy calmly responded, "It's not your fault Terra", brushing her hair as she crouched into his arms, incredibly jumpy and nervous.

Robin had seen this and quickly realized that Terra lacked control over her powers - a suspicion of his confirmed by her actions. That was her secret, but how was he going to approach her about it?

A few hours later, Terra was preparing to leave the Titans, feeling she was no longer welcome after her friendly fire incident. What she did not expect was that the Titans were offering her a full-time position on the team.

When Robin extended the offer, Terra said, "Are you sure about it? I mean, after what happened to Beast Boy, and what I did to the obstacle course yesterday?"

Cyborg responded, "You certainly showed that I need to improve the obstacle course if it could be destroyed so easily."

Robin continued, "And with some more training, you can make sure that you have the control you need. I figured it out, so if you have anyone to blame for telling you this, blame me."

Terra added, "You're right, Robin. I do need more control. That's the reason I keep running away, because I have no damn control over my geokinesis. Everywhere I go, earthquakes, avalanches, mudslides, cave-ins, I cause when trying to do good. What hero hurts more than they helps?"

Beast Boy said, "You're not the first Titan with control issues. You know, Raven?" After Terra nodded that she didn't, the changeling continued, "She was one of the team's founders and she too had control issues, namely with her emotions. She had to constantly meditate to keep them from massive property damage. All that power she had to control, and if she could do it, you can do it."

Terra replied, "I need something permanent, something lasting. I can't keep running. I'll join the Titans."

Starfire exclaimed, "Glorious! I shall get the Pudding of Welcoming!"

Cyborg meanwhile said, "Okay, we'll show you to your room."

From his base that night, Slade watched the Titans and said to himself, "Excellent, young Titans. Bringing her into your midst gives me a perfect weapon over my apprentice."

Now, Slade called, "Raven, report to the main room, now."

It was now eight at night, when Raven was finishing up her mental training. Her routine consisted of physical training to get her body in better condition, including weights, running, and swimming (of which Raven now has basic abilities in), gadget training, which included the thermal blaster, smoke grenades, and a teleportation belt, and mental training, including psychology. It also included meditation so Raven could keep her emotions in check - so they wouldn't manifest themselves and kill Slade, which would only hurt both sides - Slade dies and the Titans die.

Raven asked, "What do you need me for this time?"

Slade motioned Raven to come up towards the monitors, specifically the one at Titans Tower. He said, "Watch. There's someone you need to see."

Raven noticed the first four Titans - Robin, Starfire, Beast Boy, and Cyborg - the ones Slade infected with the nanoscopic probes to coerce her into becoming his apprentice. She also saw a fifth person - another girl.

Raven asked, "Who is she?"

Slade answered, "Her name is Terra. She is your replacement."

"What? They replaced me?"

"They gave up hope that you would be found. They figured they should get someone to take your place, and Terra just happened to be the unstable uncontrollable mystery girl to do it."

"You're comparing me to her? What secrets does she have?"

"Her geokinesis is constantly landing her in trouble by causing accidents. When she told the Titans, they accepted her for who she was. I wonder what would have happened if you told your friends that your emotions have to be regulated else your personal demon gets loose."

Raven began groaning as she fell onto the floor. "You had to show me this today?"

Slade was nonchalant in his response, "Is there anything important about today? It's not your birthday."

"It's the day before Halloween. My demon is going to try to get loose and it is going to torture me mentally tomorrow."

"Can it be stopped?"

"Not even if I meditated non-stop, it will do its damage on me. I need to be alone tomorrow else they risk their life. And we both know you aren't one to give up your life so readily."

October 31, 2015. At midnight, Raven awoke with a splitting headache which quickly signaled that Trigon's essence within was trying to get loose. As a result, she quickly left her room and went to the isolation chamber Slade had pointed out to her - a room with nothing inside that would function as a sort-of torture. While this would be the case with Raven as her demon was beginning to attack her, it was also a security measure.

For the next couple of hours, Raven struggled with the horrendous, jarring pain of the mental torture that had only begun to Raven, with her Emoticlones being ruthlessly beaten up by Trigon-like demons. The pain broke up her concentration so much that she could not get into Nevermore to help her emotions out - even Brave couldn't fend them off forever and she was unstoppable in her realm. Timid was running for her life through the maze that the demons were tearing down. Happy was unable to appease them as they went at her while Impudence's insults were only fueling the fire. Sloth was long surrounded and getting pummeled while Wisdom was besieged in her library that was rapidly crumbling.

Every pain that Trigon could think possible on Raven was occuring right at that moment, leaving Raven rolling around as her head was suffering from the mother of all migranes. And that was just the beginning of her day.

Then came the visions.

Raven, aka Rachel Roth, was a student at Titan High School, a very shy student at that. Her classmates included Kori Ander and her boyfriend, Dick Grayson, Tara Markov and her boyfriend Garfield Logan, football jock Victor Stone and his girlfriend, Nirupama Dasgupta, along with Mikron O'Jeneus, Wally West, Garth Curry, and Baran Flinders. Teachers included the bumbling science teacher Dr. Arthur Light, the unfunny English teacher Kenneth Thomsen, principal Sebastian Blood, and guidance counselor Slade Wilson. Her mother, Angela, had left her when she was only a child, leaving her in the care of her abusive dad, Terrence "Trigon" Roth.

Two weeks before the senior prom, Rachel was washing down after physical education (her least favorite class) when she noticed she was bleeding down her vagina. She didn't know what was happening and immediately started to panic that she was dying, soon running across the shower trying to figure it out. Tara, noticing Rachel's predicament, invited the other girls to throw their sanitary napkins at their odd classmate. Tara had it out for Rachel since day one in elementary school, making the situation all the more inhospitable.

Before the humiliation could continue, counselor Slade Wilson came into the locker room and ordered the girls to stop it, giving the girls that threw napkins at Rachel, including Nirupama, Tara, Kori, and Karen Duncan a mandatory week of detention or else they can't go to prom. He found Rachel, crying, and covered only in water and blood and explained that she had her first period.

He got her dressed and had her transferred out of that gym class. Slade always knew that Rachel had problems with some of those girls and that day had only proved the truth. Blood, however, didn't care that much for Rachel, ever since her mother Angela had abandoned him for Terrence.

Later that day, when she returned home, she was once again subjected to the endless abuse of her father, forcing her to kneel on rough gravel in a small prayer closet beneath the stairs, which always hurt her, to atone for "her sins". Rachel had no self-worth, no self-esteem, and no friends. There were some days that she wished she could kill herself.

The next day, Kori, wanting to make amends for what she did to Rachel, asked her boyfriend Richard to take Rachel to the prom, saying that she has other things to do at the time, namely her sister Cameron Ander's graduation from college. Upon hearing this, Tara and Garfield immediately plotted to ultimately humiliate Rachel in front of the entire senior class.

That night, while moping about in her misery, Rachel accidentally caused her bed to levitate into the air before falling down. That she found curious and focused on some other objects, soon finding herself able to manipulate them. Rachel deduced she had telekinesis, a rare trait given to those under the most pressure from society.

Dick asked Rachel to the prom two days later, and Rachel, after learning of Kori's request, accepted his invitation. With that, Tara and Garfield mapped out the prank - to drench Rachel in pig blood, ruining her night and doing what she had long strived for - get rid of Rachel from her life.

When Terrence refused to allow Rachel to go to the prom, she instead decided to do it covertly, using her newfound powers to make a dress of her own, one she modeled after her mother's wedding dress.

That night, prom night, Dick took Rachel to the prom at the high school gym, completely unaware that Tara and Gar had a nasty surprise in store. Of the seniors, Victor and Nirupama decided not to go to the prom, as she had a bad omen about the prom.

It was almost a perfect night for Rachel as she enjoyed the prom with a guy she wished was hers. Then came the results of the prom king and queen elections - Dick had won king and Rachel had won queen. But what they didn't realize was that the ballot boxes had been stuffed with fake ballots that ensured Rachel would win (the true winner would have been Tara, but this prank was sweeter than any prize in her opinion).

As Dick and Rachel took the stand, Garfield and Tara dropped a bucket filled with pig blood all over Rachel, drenching her in the red sticky liquid. The bucket fell onto Dick's head, killing him instantly. As she watched her class laugh at her, she became enraged at her perfect night being used as a sick joke.

Her telekinesis quickly came to bear and began tearing apart the school. Only Slade, Mikron, Karen, Garfield, and Tara were able to escape the chaos as everybody else inside was brutally slaughtered by falling debris, including Light, Thomsen, and Blood.

After her powers had gone completely haywire, Rachel left the high school gym and walked back home as her ride was killed by the bucket. As she walked by a gas station, Tara and Garfield appeared in a car, trying to run over Rachel for ruining the prank.

Rachel's response was to send the car flying into the gas station, killing the two of them instantly in a burst of fire. After arriving home at two in the morning, she washed herself off of the blood.

Before she could get ready for bed, she was brutally attacked by Terrence for disobeying his orders and he shot her in the chest for committing sin so much it could not be cleansed.

Rachel, still in anger, grabbed the gun and brutally gunned down Terrence. Her powers went completely haywire, soon tearing the house completely apart as she stumbled out, dying of the mortal wound.

Slade arrived at the Roth residence to find himself too late to save Rachel. As she died, he comforted her, promising everything would be alright.

Upon Rachel's death, Raven awoke from her vision, in less pain than before but still struggling with the demon. Slade asked her from the other side, "How are you doing, apprentice?"

Raven replied, "As fine as I could be. I just awoke from my vision. You ever see or read Carrie?"

Slade said, "Actually, I have. Both versions and read the novel. I do get out if that's what you're thinking. Even supervillains have lives."

"I envisioned myself as Carrie, and the other Titans, including Terra as classmates. I took Robin to the prom but Beast Boy and Terra decided to spoil it for me. Basic plot with the people I know."

"Who was I in the vision?"

"The guidance counselor that actually looked out for me. Brother Blood was headmaster and instead of an abusive mom, I get an abusive dad."

"Why Carrie?"

"It is my personal favorite film and novel. I just feel for her so much, that we aren't that much different - we were prejudiced for who we were and shown little compassion or friendship."

"How do you feel about the Titans?"

"Like I want to kill two and let three live."

"We're getting there. I assure you."

Author's Note: Before you review, let me explain the Carrie vision in the chapter. I personally thought it up a while ago, around the time the new Carrie came out, and I saw Raven as Carrie and Terra as Chris (the bad girl), with the other Titans in various roles. I felt it was too short to do a full story but when conceptualizing this story, I saw an opportunity to place it here, and voila.

Remember to vote in the poll on my page to see if Raven breaks free of Slade or truly becomes his.
