Chapter 9: Talk of Dreams

Zephyrpaw was outside of the cave staring down to where the forest lay, imagining a huge lake, and a moor with more hills. She turned her head when she heard a sound coming from the cave, expecting the others to come out.

No cat emerged from the cave and Zephyrpaw jumped when a voice sounded next to her, "Hello, Daughter."

"Breezepelt!" Zephyrpaw could not believe her eyes, her father was right next to her, "What are you doing here?"

"I came to ask you again, will you join me?" He asked his voice deep and controlling.

"I already told you, I won't join you. Ever." She stood strong on her decision.

"If you won't join willingly, you can be forced." With his words, Breezepelt pressed a dark, glowing paw to his daughter's head. The darkness seeped into her and her eyes took the same glow before passing out.

"Good bye Daughter, we will be in contact soon; though I doubt you'll notice."

"Zephyrpaw? Hey, Zephyrpaw! Zephyrpaw wake up!" Zephyrpaw opened her eyes, still groggy, and looked up to see Rainpelt's face, less than a whisker away from her own. The other cats, Thunderpaw and Breeze included, where standing around her.

"What happened?" Zephyrpaw asked looking at them.

"We came out of the cave and found you sleeping here, Rainpelt woke you up just now," Boulder told her, "Now we are going back to Primum Silva where you all will share your dreams and the rest of us will help sort them out if needed."

Primum Silva, Four Trees, Sunhigh

"I saw myself," Shadowclaw started, "I…I was dead. A voice told me I was a sacrifice."

"What else was there?" Boulder pressed, "Did you see anything you recognized?"

"No, only myself, all the other cats were moving too fast. The clearing was one I'd never seen before."

"Okay, please share your dream Rainpelt," Boulder continued.

"I…I think I found Crystal, and she's coming to us." Rainpelt meowed; she went on to explain the rest of her dream.

"That description fits Crystal perfectly; did she tell you when she would get here?" Ash asked.

"No, only to watch for her," Rainpelt replied following with a yawn.

"You seem tired, go and rest." Rain meowed, "We'll join you shortly."

Rainpelt merely nodded and walked off towards a mossy, sheltered area the cats used for sleeping at Fourtrees.

Zephyrpaw stepped forward next, "In my dream, I was looking down, into my camp, and I saw it torn to pieces. The scene shifted, and I was in the ThunderClan camp, it too was wrecked. I asked myself what I was seeing, and a voice told me it was the future unless we made eight become ten."

"I think it's referring to Crystal, and the kit in Rainpelt's dream," Wind said, "They will be the help we need."
