Hey guys! Long time since I updated this, right? This is definitely going to be the shortest chapter in the whole story, sorry. The following are probably going to be long. Anyway, dive on in!
And so, slowly, as each nobleman attempted the challenge, each would meet with a dreadful punishment, as Princess Vanessa refused to back down, and continued to knock the men out with her potion, so that she could return to her Monty. The other girls, overall, didn't mind one bit. They quite enjoyed the magical dances each night. On the other hand, King Doofenshmirtz was losing his mind. His plan, it wasn't working! It was practically blowing up in his face, because the girls were still getting away with their nonsense, and now there was a sea of over-ambitious boys about to lose their lives because of something as stupid as dancing shoes.
Meanwhile, sweet Princess Isabella was growing a little concerned with each passing day for her new friends, Phineas and Ferb. She was very worried that the boys might just try to win the challenge. But, of course, she knew that because of Vanessa, they couldn't, and if they tried, they would most certainly die.
"If only I could tell them what's really going on." Isabella said.
Oh, but you can.
"Really? I can? How?"
You can do what all Disney Princesses do; sing and summon animal friends to take messages places for you.
"I can really do that?!"
No, you idiot.
"That is so unfair! You got my hopes up for nothing!"
I swear, these characters, talking back to me while I'm trying to tell my readers a classic fairytale… why don't you just send a message to them, genius?
"How?"
So Isabella summoned whatever brainpower she had, and decided to send a message to Phineas and Ferb… hidden in the order for the shoes. There was an order for shoes going out just about everyday. Just as Ferb had hidden his message to Isabella using the shoes, Isabella did the same.
Phineas and Ferb were working as hard as ever. Phineas wasn't sure if this was what he had wanted after all. While he was making more gold than ever before, he had absolutely no time to do anything else. There had to be some way to make money and still have time for fun, and inventions, and adventures, and just goofing off. Phineas wasn't really interested in the princesses themselves but he was beginning to wonder… well, he was interested in entering the king's challenge just to win the prize money. However, his practical side kept him from even trying. The same went for Ferb. As attracted as he was to the beautiful princesses, especially Princess Isabella, he didn't want to risk anything. So nothing stunned him more than a message from Isabella, hidden in the order for new shoes. He didn't open it until he sat down for lunch with Phineas in the local pub. It was a crowded little place, enough so that nobody would bother questioning what the two boys were doing.
Dear Ferb,
I miss you. Even though we only just met, I still miss you. But, whatever you do, DO NOT try to win my father's challenge. Let's just say, Vanessa has rigged it so that nobody is going to win anytime soon.
Love, Isabella
Ferb found the rushed letter intriguing. So there was a reason why there were so many failures, and obviously Isabella could tell him all the secrets to get past the challenge and win. Of course, he would never ask that from her. Truthfully, he was a little too scared to try.
"What are you reading, Ferb?" Phineas asked him curiously.
Ferb quickly checked around, making sure no one was within earshot. "It's from Isabella." He whispered.
Phineas' eyes grew wide. "Really?" He said in a hushed tone. "What does it say?"
"She doesn't want us to accept the challenge." Ferb replied.
"Well, why?" Phineas asked.
"Her sister is making sure everyone loses."
"But, doesn't she know how to… get around that?"
"Probably." Ferb said. "But, you know our parents would never let us do it. To them, we're still kids."
Phineas sighed. "I know. WE could definitely make something to outsmart the princesses. Especially with Isabella's help. But, nobody else is ever going to win." Ferb was about to respond, but a stranger in a cloak interrupted him.
"Sorry guys, it's really crowded. Would you mind if I sat here?"
"No, go ahead!" Phineas instantly responded. "I'm Phineas and this is Ferb. And you are?"
The young man removed his hood to reveal golden hair and crystal clear blue eyes. "I'm Jeremy."
