So here we are again, another chapter done. As you know, I would like to thank any reviews that has been given from the last chapter or the chapters before. So here are some replies.
CB73: That is an amazing summary, and it is quite funny to read too.
Smoe05: VB isn't too bad of a beer, but everyone has their own tastes. Honestly I'm making it up as I go along and adding some ideas that were given. As well as I actually didn't right the letter then, I just thought maybe a little suspense would work. I hope it lives up to your expectations.
The three guests: I know what I mean, even if I put in the wrong words, but thanks for picking up any mistakes I may have made lol
Silverwolf: I'm honestly not sure, maybe soon
Chapter 10
Dear Hiccup and Astrid
I know I'm not the easiest to get along with, and I know I've troubled you in the past but I want to make it up to you. First I'd like to say sorry to Astrid, I'm sorry I always tried to flirt with you, turns out your right, my ego is bigger than Berk itself. I know understand that back in the past I view women as trophies and you were the ultimate one that I wanted. But now all that is behind me and I'm learning from my past.
And to my cousin, I'm not sure how to express how I feel so deeply sorry for you. I know I bullied you, along with the twins, throughout out schooling life and know I'm seeing how far I have pushed you away. We were cousins and I threw it away just to be popular and leave you to the scrapes, words cannot express how sorry I am.
From now on I would like to be a part of your lives as well as your kids, and learn how much of a better person I can be. I will only be a part of your lives if you let me. And to Hiccup, I only wish the right to be called your cousin again after my stupid choices I have made in the past.
Words cannot express how sorry and regretful I am.
Yours sincerely
Snotlout
Hiccup and Astrid sit on the couch with the letter on the coffee table in front of them, while Fishlegs is on the other side.
They are shocked at the very least of what lies in front of them, the only sound that could be heard was the clock ticking away.
Isn't wasn't before long that Hiccup soon broke the silence "Wow" was all that he could manage to find. Astrid just stared at the paper, it seemed as she didn't know what to say or what to do next.
"Yeah, I know. That was my reaction too" Fishlegs states. He looks over to Astrid who seemed as though she hasn't moved after reading the letter.
Astrid finally broke her silence "You said you got this last night, we've been here for a few days. What if he has already told Stoick and my parents?" "I'm not sure milady, but we can ask him when we see him next okay?" Hiccup says as he wraps his arm around her.
Hiccup then looks over to Fishlegs "Hey Fish, can we set up for a party? Say in a few days' time?" "Sure Hiccup, here or my place?" says while stroking his chin, acting like he was in deep thought. "Here I think would be best" Astrid joins in.
With a date locked in, they departed ways to enjoy the rest of the days with their families.
At lunch down at the beach
It was a nice sunny day, perfect beach weather. So the Haddock family, mainly Bryan and Maria begged to go out to the beach they say when Hiccup and Astrid where showing them around.
Astrid was sitting on the beach chair watching Hiccup in the water splashing around with the kids, while Toothless was running around them loving the water. Then all of a sudden Maria disappears but she sees that Hiccup is fine with it, she is now confused.
It isn't until Maria jumps on top of Astrid that she knew where she went. Maria was sitting on top of Astrid smiling and laughing thinking it was very funny.
Astrid couldn't help but laugh with her a little, but not for the same reason as her. One of the reasons was that she was laughing at herself because why else would Hiccup and Toothless be fine if Maria went missing.
"Come on mommy" Maria gets off of her and grabs her hand and tries to get her to come. "Fine" Astrid says smiling as she picks up Maria and walks into the water but she didn't make it before she got splashed by Hiccup and Bryan.
All of them is laughing, as she places Maria down and joins in splashing everyone. Hiccup comes up next to her then picks her up and kisses her, he then mouths 'I'm sorry'. Before Astrid could ask, he drops her in the water.
She gets out of the water glaring at Hiccup, but she is smiling and shaking her head. With Hiccup now laughing he didn't see Astrid come running at him. She then tackles Hiccup into the water, the kids look at the both of them, crying with laughter, while Toothless does his impression of a laugh while looking at the married couple.
After about an hour and half in the water playing around, it was lunch time and they finally got out of the water to go get something to eat. What they have is some hot chips from the local fish and chips shop that was on the beach front.
A few seconds after lunch Hiccup suggested that Maria and Bryan should have a sandcastle build off. Hiccup chose to not help or to join in on the competition, well Astrid had forced him not to join.
Within a few moments and with some buckets and shovels near each child, a sandcastle was made.
Maria's sandcastle was mainly a sand hill with a for towers to make corners, she had decorated it with shells and had used leaves and sticks to make flags. Bryan's… well he had more of a realistic approach. As he was older he kinda had an image on what a castle looked like. Bryan's had walls and towers, and had used the smaller buckets to make houses, to which he decorated as well.
It was late in the afternoon when the family decided to go back 'home'. Before they left they had to get off all the sand they had collected so they had used to beach showers. Hiccup didn't mind if sand got into the car or any water. He just dreaded the thought of vacuuming the to get it.
After a fun day, the family got some pizza, meat lovers and hawaiian, and watch some movies before they had to put the kids to sleep. They had only gotten through Up and a little bit of Yogi Bear before the kids fell asleep, laying their head on either parent, and Toothless laying on the carpet in front of them.
Both Astrid and Hiccup could agree on was, what a day it was.
