Happy EreMika Week 3

Anyway this had nothing to do with it.

Seriously it's Erwin or Irvin. I wrote this all as "Irvin" as first but then had to change all to Erwin.

If you could tell, this story mostly followed Mikasa's POV. Some parts maybe skipped as she didn't know about it. Unless it was necessary.

Mikasa opened the infirmary door.

Eren was sitting with Levi, Hanji and Erwin.

"Mikasa? Why are you -"

"Heichou, you called me?" - Mikasa spoke, ignored Eren's question.

"Yes. Sit down."

Mikasa sat down on a chair next to Levi, in front of Eren.

"So, this is the girl you talked about." - Erwin took a look at Mikasa.

"My honor to meet you, Commander Erwin." - Mikasa said.

"Will you also join us, Scouting Legion?" - Hanji asked.

"That's my plan. But later, with the other trainees, not right now like Eren. I'm still on mission."

"I see. How's the process?" - Erwin questioned.

"Not as much information as I hope to get, but it's on track, I can ensure it."

"Wait! What mission are you talking about?"- Eren finally joined the conversation.

"Not your time to know yet." - Hanji said.

"But..." - Eren sounded annoyed.

"No but, brat. Focus on your own problem. Recover soon and we'll get going. I'll check the horses." - Levi stood up.

"Well, I had Sawney and Bean to play with. I'm leaving too." - Hanji followed Levi.

"Eren, I put my hopes on you. Get well soon." - Erwin said and also left.

The room now only had Eren and Mikasa.

"What was the mission, Mikasa?" - Eren returned to the subject.

"You don't need to know."

"So, I believe what you did in the training corps was for this mission, right?"

"Huh?" - Mikasa widened her eyes."What do you mean?"

"Nothing."

"You should rest."

Mikasa touched the bruise on Eren's face.

"Idiot. Told you not to get yourself killed. Shouting in court, have you gone mad?"

"I can't help myself hearing them talking shit about you."

"Thank you then." - She stroked his hair unconsciously "Next time just let it go. I'm fine with it."

"I'm not though."

Mikasa sighed. Such a headstrong boy. She wondered why hadn't she punched him yet.

"We still have a promise, you must keep it, OK?"

"Yeah. I'll live, I won't let you win that bet. Wait and see , Mikasa."

"Can't wait." - She stood up and attempted to leave. "I must get going. Rest!"

"Ok ok, I know. I'll rest."

"See you later."

The door shut. Eren sat alone in a quiet room.

He had many questions in his head. What was Levi and Mikasa connection? Did Levi save Mikasa 6 years ago? What was Mikasa's mission?

He told himself that he must ask her the minute they mentioned it. But as soon as he felt the touch of Mikasa's hand, his mind went numb.

So numb that he couldn't point out the difference of Mikasa's attitude. She was so gentle, so caring, so not like her usual self. He should have realized that change, but he didn't.

"What...exactly is Mikasa to me..."

He asked himself. Though he knew no answer could be found.

He wondered what she thought about him. Did she finally see him as a friend, maybe...even more?

And then he remembered what was said in the court. He tried to kill her.

He cursed himself for that. He couldn't even forgive himself. Nobody would. But still, she did.

She forgave him, stood up for him, and still cared for him.

He smiled.

If there was a million things for him to care about, he was pretty sure he cared about none right now.

Sawney and Bean were killed. The trainees were asked to turn in their 3DMG to be checked.

After that, Armin walked out and saw Mikasa.

"Mikasa!" - Armin called out.

"Armin." - Mikasa turned around. "Long time no see."

"Should we find somewhere to talk?"

"Sure."

They sat on a big tree log near the camp.

"How's Eren? You get to meet him after court, right?" - Armin asked.

"Yeah. Not for long though."

"So...about what I heard in court... He almost killed you..."

"I didn't mind that."

"...Mikasa, can you answer me honestly?"

"Why you sound so serious? Just ask, we're friends, I won't lie."

"Do you...umm...like Eren...?"

"What?! What are you talking about?" - Mikasa snapped.

"You just changed too much, compared to, you know, the first days in training corps."

"They aren't related at all!"

"Why not? The reason you changed, the reason we are friends now, is Eren."

"Armin-"

"Eren is too dense to realize how much different you act towards him, but I can tell."

"You talk like it's a good thing." - Mikasa looked down, sign of sadness started to show.

"You think it's not?"

"Emotions, feelings, are just hindrance. I'll get distracted, and it's not good at all."

Armin became silent. The girl already looked like having a break down, if he said anything more, she might completely lose it.

Sad, he thought, about how she grew up, about what she had went through.

It was not long after Eren joined Levi's squad.

Eren was feeding horses. Then he heard little noise from outside.

He quickly asked for permission to go out.

"Armin!"

He hugged the blond boy like he hadn't done it for years. Though they had only parted a few days, he missed him.

He caught sight of Mikasa.

"Mikasa, you're here too."

"Yeah...Did Levi torture you?" - Mikasa asked.

"Uhm...No... Why would he?"

"Nothing. Just in case."

She could tell that Levi glanced at her for a second before leaving.

"I got to go." - Mikasa ran after Levi, leaving her friends in a confusion.

Mikasa couldn't find Levi. She wandered around, hoped for luck to catch sight of him.

"Can I help you?"

Mikasa turned around and saw a woman with honey orange short hair.

"I'm looking for Heichou, I'm -"

"You're Mikasa, right?"

Mikasa widened her eyes.

How did this woman know her?

"I'm sorry, but how did you know my name?"

"I'm Petra Ral. I'm in Levi's Special Squad. I have heard him talking about you."

Mikasa stood in silence. Levi told this woman about her? Why? Her mission was top secret, only a few high-ranked people know, like Levi, Erwin and Hanji.

"Uhm..." - Mikasa wanted to ask, but not found the right words yet.

"Mikasa?" - A male voice called out.

"Heichou!" - Petra turned to him right away.

"What are you doing here?" - Levi asked.

"I need to talk to you. About...uhm..." - Mikasa mumbled.

"I'll leave you guys here to talk." - Petra said, nodded at Mikasa, then left.

"Spill it out." - Levi skipped all the greetings and just got to the subject.

"It's about Sawney and Bean. I had my suspects."

"Oh. That sounds good."

"The next expedition, I had prepared. If things went as planned,... well, then it would be a huge step forward."

"You've grown, Mikasa."

"About...Petra-san...how did she..."

"Nothing. You don't need to mind. She doesn't know about the mission."

"But -"

"I'm leaving." - Levi walked away before Mikasa could ask anything.

"Tchh." - Mikasa made a small noise out of annoyance.

"We'll stand here." - Nanaba shot his gear to a big tall tree and stood there. "This shall lure the titans."

"So, we're just gonna stand here?" - Jean asked.

"I guess so." - Armin pulled the hoodie down.

Mikasa stood on the same branch with Sasha.

"Why I have to stand here and do such stupid jobs?"- Mikasa said, her eyes were located into the depth of the forest.

She wanted to join the battle inside, not fucking stood here like this.

She wondered how was Ere- the mission went.

Suddenly, a huge roar came from inside of the forests. All titans followed the roar, not gave a shit about the fresh food standing on the tree anymore.

"What was that?!" - Jean screamed.

"Must be coming from that Female Titan!" - Armin shouted.

"Female Titan, huh?" - Mikasa thought. She hadn't seen it yet, and she somehow wanted to.

"I'm leaving." - Mikasa said, not caring if anybody heard it or not.

"Wait!" - Sasha grabbed Mikasa's arm.

"What?"

"Don't go! It's dangerous!"

"It's a titan. Of course it's dangerous."

"That roar! It's like the roar of a beast that has nothing to lose anymore! I heard it before!"

Mikasa paused a moment, but still shoved Sasha's hand off.

"I also have nothing to lose."

Then Mikaaa shot the hook and disappeared into the forest.

Sasha stood in fright, hoping her friend would come back safe and sound.
