Jill brought Leon to another passage through the sewers leading to the outside, behind the mansion. She held out her hand to him to help him climb the ladder faster.
"And now? " She asked.
Leon quickly realized that the situation around the mansion was worse than inside. Three helicopters above, looking for any person trying to flee.
"I have a jeep further. But they surely found it. Even if it is not the case, I won't take that risk as the area is surrounded by soldiers. They all are in front of the Mansion, and we are behind it, but they will check this place soon " Answered Leon.
Jill took the map from the hand of Leon and tried to analyze the position of the "safe place" according to Boung.
"No we won't get there without a car. But for now we have to move. " said Jill.
"I agree. I have an idea but too dangerous. I'll take any other suggestions»
"There's a waterfall at the other end of the forest from our side…But I don't think it's the best idea we could have… "
But Leon was already considering this possibility.

Leon wasted no time and took Jill's arm, running now into the dark forest.
"We must go now! RUN ! "

Neil was arrived to the meeting room, guarded by two men. One of them approached Neil.
"Sorry Sir. You can not enter. The President is in an emergency meeting»
"That's exactly why I'm here. Here's my card, I'm Neil Fisher, leader of TerraSave. It seems that the recent events involving Leon S. Kennedy is linked to bioterrorism. So TerraSave is concerned. "
"Wait here. " Said the man as he entered the room.
Seconds later, he returned, and told to Neil that he was invited to join the meeting.
Neil Fisher entered, a debate had obviously begun about the explosion at the US Embassy in Africa. But they didn't have any contact since their training. Mr Simmons is certain of her loyalty to the justice and to our country. She is not aware of Kennedy's actions. "
Adam sighed, visibly tired of hearing from the mouth of President Graham that Leon was guilty. The same president who trusted him enough for asking him to save his own daughter daughter.
"I think I've heard enough for today. All of this is a nonsense, I don't want to stay, "he said, as he stood up.
Everyone looked at him without a word. Adam continued:
"Gentlemen I 'm just asking you to think more about the situation. You are accusing a survivor from Raccoon city to work with Wesker without hesitation, without even considering the most credible possibility : That we've all been manipulated by someone else. Follwed by a several soldiers and helicopters, Leon and Jill were running through the forest for several minutes without stopping. After a moment that seemed forever, Jill slowed, as she didn't have enough strength to continue.
"Jill! "Leon walked towards her, taking her arm and putting it behind his neck.
"I can't ...I feel weak.. " she said, resigned.
"Yes you can. ! Look! We see the edge of the cliff! "
Jill forced herself to keep walking fast, although thather body really needed to rest all that she had endured.
Leon heard the soldiers coming closer, some began to shoot, but they were still too far from their targets.
"Almost ..." Leon muttered, more to himself.
As they left the forest and approached the edge of the cliff, one of the helicopters could now see them clearly. Jill and Leon were dazzled by the big light directed at them.
"YOU CAN NOT ESCAPE ! "Bellowed the voice of the helicopter.
" Here we are Jill ! "Said Leon totally ignoring the warning of the soldier in the helicopter.
At their feet was a huge waterfall falling on a river with strong current. And considering of the height, the fall from will be terrible and dangerous.
Jill was slightly disturbed. The last time she had jumped into the void, it was for saving Chris and she was ready to die for him. But she survived and ended up as a guinea pig for Wesker, and as a slave for Excella.
"Jill we have to jump now ! They're coming! " Leon clumsily tried to convince her that it was the right choice.
This time the shots were getting closer. Jill suddenly regained consciousness, and tried to not focus on the fall.
"I am ready! "
Leon smiled, grabbed her arm, and together they rushed fast to the edge of the cliff.
"FIRE ! "Shouted one of the soldiers who was now close enough to reach them.
Leon and Jill ran as fast as they could, but one of them screamed in pain even when they jumped.
The soldiers approached the edge of the cliff, looking at the height. Then he spoke to a younger soldier:
"Which one did you hit? The agent or the woman? "
"I ... I'm not sure captain. "
"Anyway, they can not survive such a fall. But it will be difficult for us to find the bodies as it's night and the current of that river is strong. We will investigate tomorrow, and we will ask for some reinforcements to help us. "

Jill was seeing again the moment that changed her life forever ... She was falling, holding Wesker with all her strength in her arms. She was expecting to die at anytime during the fall, feeling the wind on her skin, faster at each second past…And before she could re seethe next part of this moment, conscious quickly came back to reality, and Jill opened her eyes. She was under water. She hardly managed to come to the surface, the current was strong.
Her second reflex after that to was to look for Leon by her eyes, but she did not see him. The night made things more difficult to find anyone by the way. She could swear that he screamed in pain when they jumped together.
"LEON ! " She cried. Jill always taken by the fast current, but not enough to make her lost control of her swim.
Considering the low probability that Leon was behind because of the current, Jill decided to let hersef moving in the current direction, avoiding obstacles. He was probably further, and in danger, she needed to find him quickly.
Jill's concern about Leon was growing. What if he did not survived? How could she live with the idea that a man she never seen before died to save her?
"No, this guy was confident. He was not afraid to jump and he probably knew what he was doing. "Jill was trying to convince herself. But if he really got injured before jumping, the truth is that no one could have survived the fall at this height.

Graham was sitting at his desk, reading some reports of blood tests about his daughter, as Derek Simmons entered the office.
" Greetings, Mister President. "He bowed in an ironic tone.
"I did everything you asked me. Piers Nivans and Sherry Birkin Nievans will leave next week for Africa. "Graham replied, without paying attention to him.
"I see you received the analyzes of blood. The health of your daughter will get worse in the coming weeks, the process is long, so when I will resolved all my problems, you will announce to the country that you have renounced to the presidency because of your daughter's health problems . "
Graham stood up, looking into the eyes Simmons.
"How can I be sure that you will give me the antidote to cure my daughter when you will get what you want ?! "
"Believe me, Mr. Graham, if I don't give you the antidote, you will have nothing to lose. And a man who has nothing to lose is dangerous for me. So make sure you protect your daughter, it is in our interest for us both. Do what I tell you and everything will be fine for her. " answered Simmons, putting an end to the short conversation.
But before Simmons took his last step to the office door, Graham decided to say a last thing to him :
"No matter what's your plans, and that you believe you are manipulating everyone including Sherry Birkin , let me warn you : Do not underestimate the last survivors from Raccoon city. Someday they will understand who you are, and they will stand up against you. And there's one thing I'm sure: my friend Leon will be the one who will destroy you. "
Simmons smiled without saying another word, and left Graham's office.

Hey my friends, thank you very much for your review ! Just want to let you know, that the last part of this chap can be confuse, I mean it's possible you are all wondering : "why Simmons send Sherry to capture Leon ? it doesn't make any sense she trust him". In fact the point about Sherry is not a big deal for the story, she only believes in Simmons :)

And sorry for the confusion, sometimes when it's clear in my mind its possible that I have forget to add more details in the chap :p But yes it was leon's thoughts, and the event he was thinking about, was the end of re4 :p I needed to bring the subject because now the next phew chap will be focus only on Jill and Leon, and the romance part. So he has to talk about Ada with Jill :D
