"Battle in the Sky"

Sorry for the long wait. Please enjoy and review!

That day the Blade Breakers were on a bus that was owned by the BBA driving the team off to the building where the tournament was going to be held.

"Whoa! Get a load of this view, Chief!" Tyson exclaimed as he stared outside the window.

Daisuke was sitting beside Kai as she pet a sleeping Demiveemon's head and stared outside as well to take in the beautiful sights of the green hills and magnificient mountains.

"China is pretty awesome, isn't it Tyson? If I didn't know any better, I'd say it was just one giant oil painting. It's a shame we won't have any time for sight seeing." Kenny said.

"I know, but let's not forget the real reason we're here." Tyson said as the bus came to a stop.

Standing, everyone then made their way to the front of the bus as Dickenson was the first one off.

"That's it over there!" The old man pointed.

"Whoa, check that place out!" Daisuke exclaimed in awe.

Demiveemon blinked his eyes awake as he then stared up at what the humans were all looking at in awe and his eyes grew wide at the sight.

The building in front of them resembled a thin mountain and it had what appeared to be circular shaped Chinese styled houses/platforms attached to it while there was a slightly larger one placed on the very top of the building.

"Wow. The city stretches all the way up those rock pillars! Almost to the clouds." Tyson said.

"That's where the tournament is going to be held. On the upper most peak of the rock tower." Dickenson informed.

"Come on, guys! We've got some rock climbing to do!" Tyson shouted loudly with a large grin as he pumped a fist in the air.

He then yelped when an annoyed Daisuke bopped him over the head with her fist.

"Would you stop shouting? We're right beside you, numb skull!" Daisuke frowned.

Demiveemon started snickering while Max, Kenny and Ray looked on in amusement and Kai simply remained silent as Dickenson chuckled at the sight.

With that said, the team then stuck close together as they walked inside of the building so they wouldn't get seperated by all the other people and teams that were wandering around inside.

When they found the arena, they stood by to watch as DJ Jazzman, dressed in a black and red gi, then started getting the crowd excited.

"Welcome to the BBA Asian Tournament! So, if you are ready to get started… Then let's rock the house and welcome all our Beybladers to China!" DJ yelled.

The crowd roared with excitement as they stared down at all the teams that were present, all of them being from around Asia and wearing all kinds of interesting clothing.

"Now get ready for a Beyblading competition like you've never seen before!" DJ cried.

"Well, here we are broadcasting live from the China Tower as the opening round of the Asian Tournament draws near. I'm Brad Best here with AJ Topper bringing you all the action from way up here. I don't know about you, AJ, but I'm feeling a tad lightheaded." Brad commented.

"That's just the lack of primo oxygen working its magic, Brad." AJ joked.

"Don't remind me. Let's take a quick look at how the tournament works. The winner of each match will move up the chart, facing a new opponent in every round until only two competitors remain to battle it out for the championship trophy. However, a single offset at any level fo the tournament means instant elimination." Brad explained.

"Look for the popular White Tiger team to do some serious damage on the leter board, Brad. And watch out for the Blade Breakers, they've been on a tear lately." AJ said.

"Good advice as we prepare to get underway." Brad concluded.

With that said and done, the teams all left the arena and made their way over to check the charts in the hallways to see who would be starting off the matches.

"Attention, please! Group A will be stationed in the North wing and group B in the South wing. The first match will begin in approximately 30 minutes." A female voice spoke over the speaker system.

"Hey, it looks like our team is up first in group A." Ray said as he looked over the chart.

"That's awesome! We don't have to stand around all day." Tyson grinned.

"You are so impatient, you know that, Tyson?" Max teased.

"Come on, Max, give me break. So I'm a little bit eager? I just want to get this party started." Tyson said.

"Yeah, but could you try not to hog all the matches from the rest of us? We came here to blade too, ya know." Daisuke told him.

If she had to sit around simply watching Tyson battle, then she was going to be in a very bad mood.

"Well, well. Look what the cat dragged in." A familiar voice spoke up.

Everyone turned to see that it was Lee who had spoken and standing behind him were Mariah, Kevin and Gary.

"You again, huh?" Tyson glared.

"Lee?" Ray questioned.

"So, what's up? Are you the tournament mascots?" Lee insulted.

"Very funny, but we plan to win." Tyson retorted.

"Yeah, right. Dream on." Lee drawled as his amber eyes flashed open.

"You do realize that you're in group A and the White Tigers are in group B?" Mariah asked as she stood beside the chart on the wall.

"Which means, even if you fluke out of your first round win, that means we'll be going head to head eventually." Kevin smirked as he stood on the other side of the chart.

"We don't just realize it, we look forward to it." Kenny smiled.

"We'll see about that when the time comes, won't we?" Mariah asked.

"Oh, and Ray? We don't go easy on traitors." Lee glared at the other raven haired boy.

This made Daisuke and Demiveemon narrow their eyes in thought.

Just what had Ray done to the White Tigers to make them view him as a traitor?

"Well, we don't go easy on anyone." Ray stated.

Kevin then jumped up in front of Tyson and started to tease the bluenette who grew very annoyed.

"You totally look like the weakest link!" Kevin laughed.

"Why you little!" Tyson growled as he reached out to grab the greenette, but Kenny held him back.

"Weakest link! Weakest link!" Kevin sang as he ran after his departing team.

"Yeah, well you look like a missing link!" Tyson called after him.

"Yep, this is gonna be a fun tournament." Daisuke quipped.

(Back in the arena...)

"Looks like we're set to go." Brad said as everyone grew excited for the match to begin.

"The first match will be the Tall Boys vs. the Blade Breakers! Oh, yeah!" DJ announced.

Sitting across the battle dish were the Tall Boys who were three teenaged males who each had dark hair and their eyes were painted with purple eyeshadow while they each had two red circles on the corners of their mouths.

They were sending smug grins over at the Blade Breakers which seemed to be a bit creepy.

"The Tall Boys soar into the Asian Tournament totally undefeated. The Blade Breakers are lookin' to kill their buzz with a first round offset." AJ said.

Tyson looked like he was about to jump out of his seat and rush to the battle dish, but was stopped when Ray suddenly broke out of his meditative posture and spoke.

"I'll start." Ray said as he stood up.

"Good luck!" Demiveemon called as he waved at the boy from his place on Daisuke's lap.

"Hey, Ray, show them we're even tougher than the White Tigers!" Tyson called.

Freezing in place, Ray then turned to face the other boy with his golden eyes narrowed and seemed to glare at Tyson.

"Don't even go there!" The tiger master warned.

"Wha? But-But I just meant that..." Tyson trailed off looking very confused.

"Tyson, I don't think Ray likes talking about his old teammates." Kenny told the bluenette.

"Hey, don't worry about it, guys. After all, we are on the same team here, remember?" Max tried to stop an argument from breaking out.

"Then maybe it's about time some of us started acting like it instead of being all talk, ya know?" Tyson stood with his fists clenched.

"That wasn't directed at me, was it?" Kenny asked as he shrunk back into Max.

"He means me and I'll think it over, but in the meantime, I've got a battle to win." Ray declared as he walked off towards the dish.

Tyson then huffed as he turned to the side while Kai watched on silently, his eyes focussed on Ray's form as it walked towards the dish.

He wondered if the White Tigers still held some kind of hold on Ray and if it did, then it wasn't going to do any good for their team.

"Just what the heck happened between them?" Daisuke questioned under her breath.

Kai glanced at the girl sitting beside him, taking in the expression on her face as she tried to solve this strange mystery.

"I don't know, but whatever it was, it can't be good." Demiveemon shrugged.

"Players, are you ready? Get ready and take your positions!" DJ called.

Everyone watched as the floor opened up to reveal the battle dish which had everyone staring in awe at the sight.

"The players look totally blown away by the intense dish design." AJ observed.

"Whoa, it looks so real!" Tyson exclaimed.

An excited grin then found its way onto Daisuke's face as she took in the sight of the dish that was styled as a mountain range that surounded a small temple and had a river in the center.

"I'll tell ya, AJ, looking down upon that rocky scene sure isn't helping me forget that we're teetering up here at the very top of the world." Brad said nervously.

"Straight up, Brad. Oh ho, litterally. And keep in mind, the higher the altitude here in the China Tower will definetly have an effect on Beyblade weight and spin speed." AJ explained.

"Man, what is that anyway?" Tyson asked.

"Its a virtual terrain meant to recreate the element of an actual Chinese mountain range." Kenny informed.

"That'll make it aweful though to Beyblade." Max commented.

"That's the point." Daisuke grinned at them.

Suddenly, Tyson started to snicker which made everyone glance over at the boy with confused expressions.

"Yeah, bring it on! A few rocks don't scare me!" Tyson exclaimed.

"Uh, I think he's finally lost it." Kenny sweat dropped as Max rubbed the back of his head, laughing.

"Must be the change in oxygen from way up here." Daisuke muttered.

From above in the stands, Dickenson smiled down into the arena below as he waited for the match to begin, knowing that his team would make him proud.

"Welcome back to today's opening round. First up for the Tall Boys is Andre, and believe me, he's no pushover. Especially with the added power of his mighty yak." Brad started on the stats.

"Ray used to be a member of the White Tigers, but now he'll be stepping up for the Blade Breakers and he's brought along the coolest cat in town; his Bit Beast Driger!" AJ finished off Ray's stats.

Andre and Ray both readied their Beyblades and took their stances, waiting for the announcer to give them the signal.

"Just looking at the intensity of these two competitors, I don't need any stats cards to know this one is gonna be a dandy." Brad commented.

"Players, are you ready to begin? On your marks, get ready! Three, two, one... Let it rip!" DJ yelled as the crowd cheered loudly.

"Get him, Driger!" Ray yelled as the two Beyblades were released.

"And the Asian Tournament is officially underway!" Brad said as the two Beyblades clashed.

A dust cloud was created from the impact and sent the two Beyblades surging into the air, then landed on the ground away from each other.

"How cool is this?" AJ asked.

"You're mine." Ray growled.

"Ray needs to be more careful. Andre's power may be greater than his own." Kenny warned.

"No way!" Tyson yelled in Kenny's face.

"Ray's bit Beast is tougher by far!" The bluenette said as he turned his attention back to the match.

"Driger, listen up. It's time for the Tiger Claw Attack!" Ray called to his Beyblade as he surged forward.

"Looks like Ray got tired of playing cat and mouse, and switched into high gear!" AJ said as the dark grey Beyblade came sailing down towards the purple and gold one.

"Oh my, this looks like trouble!" Brad said as Andre's Beyblade seemed to grow as a crown covered with spikes shot out of the battle top and hit Driger.

"No way!" Ray gasped.

Everyone else was stunned from what they had seen and gasped in shock at the sight of Driger being thrown back a few feet.

"Something's not right!" Tyson said.

"How did he do that?" Kenny asked.

"Is that legal?" Demiveemon asked as he pointed at the added part to Andre's Beyblade.

"Not a clue." Daisuke responded.

"His plan backfired big time, leaving Ray to spin on the edge of elimination." AJ said as the dark grey Beyblade dangled on the edge of a cliff.

"Yes, but will be take the plunge?" Brad asked, refering the the river below Driger.

Leaning forward, Driger spun off of the cliff.

"I'd have to say that was a close call, huh?" DJ asked.

Andre snickered as he watched confidently as his Beyblade continued to spin and waited for Ray to attack once again.

"That was amazing! Let's check with Dizzi." Kenny said as he started typing away on his laptop.

"Got anything?" Tyson asked as he, Max, Daisuke and Demiveemon leanded closer to look.

"I'd say Ray is in for a major big yak attack." Dizzi said.

"Huh?!" Everyone questioned.

"Andre's Beyblade has the power and the form of a yak. It's very strong." Dizzi warned.

"I've got some more bad news. I'm afraid, according to these power charts, the yak attack has a definite strength advantage over Ray's Driger." Kenny informed.

"So, what now?" Tyson asked.

"That's a no brainer. We all chip in and buy Ray a bus ticket home." Kai spoke up.

"That is in no way funny, Kai!" Daisuke glared at the other Japanese teen as the rest of the team turned to the phoenix master in shock.

"If Ray doesn't win, then he doesn't deserve to be on the team." Kai stated simply.

Daisuke and Tyson both glared at Kai, both angered at what the older male had just said to them.

"...Ouch." Demiveemon muttered.

Kai was harsh and every word that come out of his mouth as laced with honesty, meaning he truly believed that Ray wasn't meant to be on their team if he lost his first match in the tournament.

"Ray, hang in there, buddy! You've got him, Ray!" Max called in encouragement.

"Don't give up!" Daisuke joined in.

Narrowing his gold eyes, Ray kept his gaze on the match as he ragained his focus.

"So now Ray's been to the edge and back. Do you still think he has a shot?" Brad asked.

"The dude's got plenty of juice just waiting to be squeezed." AJ said.

"I'll go ahead and assume that was a yes." Brad muttered.

Andre's Beyblade then raced over the rockey terrain, chasing after Driger until it finally caught up to the other Bey.

"Ready to give up yet?" Andre laughed.

"Wow, what a move!" AJ exclaimed as, at the last second, Driger veered off to the side and escaped before Andre's Bey made contact.

"Hey, come back!" Andre yelled as his Bey started crashing through rocks as it chased after Driger.

"A perfect side wind pulls Ray out of the line of danger." AJ commented.

"Leaving Andre to spin out of control." Brad added.

"Andre's yak might have strength, but it can't match Driger's speed." Daisuke grinned.

It seemed like Ray was taking advantage of the situation at last.

"Come on! Quit running away and battle!" Andre yelled.

"This sudden burst of life from Ray seems to have gotten Andre's feathers in a dander." Brad joked.

As his Beyblade continued to chase after Driger and destroyed another rock, the brunette was confused to find his opponent's Bey had disappeared.

"Hey, where'd he go?" Andre asked as he glanced around.

Just then, Driger came out of hiding and was rushing towards's the purple and gold Bey, making Andre flinch back in worry.

"Driger, Tiger Claw Attack!" Ray called.

Driger then crashed into the other Bey and sent it skipping like a stone across the ground.

"Whoa, that hit's sending Andre skidding across the beat!" AJ exclaimed.

"Ah, no way! The sand's bogging me down!" Andre cried.

Andre's Beyblade was skidding around through the sand, unable to navigate properly and crashed into a large stone wall which landed on top of the Bey.

As the smoke cleared, it revealed the Beyblade lying on its side while Ray stood up proudly and Andre whined in defeat.

"What an awesome opening battle!" AJ yelled.

"The winner of the first round is Ray!" DJ announced as the Blade Breakers (minus Kai) cheered.

"Ray was a breath away from spinning off a cliff and he still managed to win. Not bad at all." Tyson rubbed his nose.

"Okay, so who's up next?" Demiveemon asked.

"I'll go! I can't wait to battle!" Max grinned as he jumped up.

"Go for it, Maxie!" Daisuke smiled after the boy.

As Max walked up to the dish, a heavyset male wearing a hat stood from his seat and made his way over after Andre sat down.

"Time for the second match. The Blade Breakers now send Max out to try to keep their win streak alive and with the defensive power of Draciel on his side, he might just pull it off." Brad said when he spotted the blond.

"His Tall Boys' opponent is Waylan who's been burning hot lately and I'm not just talking about his recent undefeated streak either." AJ said.

"Let it rip!" DJ called as the two boys launched their Beyblades into the dish.

The green and red Beyblades were circling each other as they spun around in the sand, making everyone watch in anticipation for someone to make the first move.

"I am so totally stoked for this second match, B-Man." AJ said to his co-host.

"We've got a showndown at the Beyblade corral." Brad joked.

Waylan started laughing as Max whined in distress as sweat started to form on the blond's face.

"Time to turn up the heat." Waylan smirked as his red Beyblade spun faster, making the sand blow around and the heat in the building began to rise.

"Max must be sweating this one out, and let's face it. He's not the only one." Brad said.

Soon enough, the air around the arena grew hotter making everyone feel uncomfortable while Max was quickly drenched in sweat.

Waylan appeared to be quite smug as the heat grew stronger, effecting everyone but him.

The only one who was suffering worst than Max was Tyson who was close to falling over from the unbearable heat.

Kai was uneffected by the heat since he had a fire style Bit Beast and was used to the extreme temperature.

As for Daisuke, her body was being cooled by Drina who covered the girl and her dragon in a thin layer of frost.

"That explains it. Waylan's blade power is heat." Kenny said as he checked his laptop.

"You don't say?" Daisuke drawled out with a sarcastic smile.

"Well, I am getting a little bit hot under the collar." Tyson said as he jumped in front of the shorter boy.

"Take a look!" Kenny held his laptop in front of Tyson to show him what was on the screen.

Shown on the screen was an image of Waylan's Beyblade and how it was radiating heat from the inside.

"It's true! The current stadium temperature has risen several degrees. I can almost feel my circuits starting to melt!" Dizzi said.

Max was groaning as he felt the heat starting to cloud his mind, making it hard for the boy to concentrate on the match.

"I-I can't take this." Max said as he fell to his knees as Waylan laughed.

"As the saying goes; 'If you can't take the heat, get out of the Bey-stadium.'" Waylan joked.

"Come on, Chief, you've got to do something here and fast!" Tyson yelled as he grabbed Kenny by the shoulders.

"Uh, like what?" Kenny questioned.

"Soon the heat will zap your Beyblade's energy completely!" Waylan snickered.

"Welcome back to the China Tower, which at this point in time is starting to feel like the Sahara desert than anything." Brad commented.

"Oh no! At this rate, Max's Beyblade will melt down completely!" Kenny cried.

As he said thing, green ooze, which was the melted plastic of Max's Beyblade, began to fall onto the sand as the Bey continued to spin and fight against the heat.

"Man, bubbling ooze is slapttering everywhere! Looks like Max is gonna need to do some touch-up work." AJ reported.

"Dracial, now!" Max called, even though he was tired from the heat that was baring down on him.

"Hot enough for you?" Waylan joked as he chuckled.

Max then fell onto his hands and knees, panting.

"You had enough or should I crank it up?" Waylan smirked.

"This makes the sauna feel like an iceberg." Brad said.

All the people in the stands were moaning as they leaned back in their seats, each one covered in sweat from the horrible heat that was filling the room.

Even DJ couldn't handle the heat as he fell to his hands and knees.

"Oh! Oh, man!" DJ groaned.

"How is Waylan doing that?" Demivemon asked.

"Ya got me. Hey, Kenny, you got any clue?" Daisuke asked as she leaned over Ray to speak with the brunette.

Feeling something cold press against him, Ray looked down and was stunned to see that Daisuke's hair was coated in ice crystals.

How had that happened?

"I've got it! The only way to maintain such extreme heat is through the continued rotation of his Beyblade." Kenny realized.

"So, does that mean the only way for the heat to drop is that Waylan's Beyblade needs to slow down?" Demiveemon asked.

"In other words, it's just a waiting game." Ray said for the first time since his match.

"I think that wait's just about up." Daisuke commented when she saw Waylan's blade beginning to slow down and wobble.

"Oh no! Don't slow down yet!" Waylan frowned.

"Looks like things are cooling down again." AJ said as the temperature began to return to normal.

"Uh oh! Without spin, I'm all through!" Waylan said.

"Okay, Max now's your chance! Come on! Hurry! It's now or never!" Kenny yelled as he stood up, knocking Tyson off of him.

"I've...had...enough! Now, attack Draciel!" Max growled as he pushed himself back onto his feet.

Regaining its rotation, the green Bey's Bit Chip glowed as Draciel prepared to attack.

"No way!" Waylan cried.

"Watch out behind you!" Kenny yelled as the green Bey charged.

"It's a last stand in the sand." Brad said.

"Take this!" Waylan said as his Beyblade charged forward.

"Waylan goes for a desperation back slammer, but can't pull it off." AJ reported.

"I'm takin' you down!" Max growled.

"Waylan's on the run, but he can't shake Max off his tail." AJ said as Waylan's Bey rushed away from the green one, but Draciel rammed into it.

"Finish him off!" Max yelled.

His Bey then sent Waylan's flying through the air and it sailed out of the stadium.

"No! I can't lose!" Waylan gaped.

"And another one bites the dust!" Brad joked.

"Yeah!" Kenny, Daisuke and Demiveemon cheered.

Still weakened from the heat, Tyson grabbed onto Kenny's shirt and pulled himself up.

"Chief, what happened? Don't leave me hangin' here." Tyson said.

"You beat the heat." Waylan said with wide eyes.

"I don't believe it! Max somehow managed to hold on for the win." DJ exclaimed.

"It takes one part perseverance, two parts perspiration." Brad joked once again.

"Max!" Tyson called.

Moaning tiredly, Max turned his attention towards his friends as they all rushed over to him with smiles.

"Way to go." Kenny said.

"That was so awesome." Tyson grinned.

"You did great." Daisuke smiled.

"Actually, it was pretty sloppy." Kai commented.

"Kai, give the poor guy a break." Ray scolded.

"It's okay, really, you're the team leader, Kai. So, if you think I need to work harder, then I will, okay?" Max grinned at the older male who stared at him.

"It looks like you're up next, Tyson. Are you all set to go?" Kenny asked.

"Yeah, totally." Tyson smirked.

"No way!" Daisuke cut in as she shoved Demiveemon into Tyson's arms.

"If anyone's battling, then it's me." Daisuke said as she tied up the back of her hair into a ponytail to keep it out of her way.

"What?" Tyson gasped as he stared at the girl.

"I didn't just join this team to sit around looking pretty." Daisuke retorted.

"And besides, out of everyone here, Daisuke has the most advantage in that terrain." Demiveemon smiled.

"What do you mean?" Max asked.

"My Bit Beast is a snow leopard. And where do they live?" Daisuke questioned with a grin.

"In the south asian mounatin range!" Kenny gasped.

"That's right. Wish me luck." Daisuke smiled as she walked off towards the dish.

Everyone watched the girl as she walked off to the dish to face off against the remaining member of the Tall Boys team.

"You think she'll be okay?" Max asked.

"To be honest, I'd be scared for whoever faced off against her." Ray said.

With that said, the boys all made their way back to their seats and sat down as they waited for the match to begin as Daisuke took her place.

"Alright, we're ready for round 3 and I expect the Tall Boys are looking for some revenge!" DJ announced.

"Representing the Tall Boys this time around is team leader Tommy. A master of applying authentic martial arts tecniques to his Beyblading strategy." Brad gave the stats on Tommy.

"His challenger is Daisuke who has quite a few tricks up her sleeve that we haven't seen yet. Added to that is the power of Drina that makes her one cool opponent." AJ gave out the stats of Daisuke.

As Daisuke pulled her Beyblade and launcher out of her pouch, she was a bit surprised to see the tall black haired male across from her held his hands up, showing off none of his equipment.

"Looks like Tommy came to the party empty handed. A ploy perhaps?" Brad mused.

"Where that dude's concerned, I wouldn't rule anything out." AJ said.

Narrowing her eyes, Daisuke glanced over her strangely dressed opponent as she tried to figure out what he was planning.

"If I may make a suggestion, let's say we kick things off?!" Tommy lifted his leg to show off the launcher he wore.

It was sewn onto the side of his black leg warmer which made everyone stare in surprise at the sight.

"Whoa, Tommy's using a leg launcher to give him that extra bit of zip out of the gate!" AJ said.

"I guess he wants a leg up on the competition." Brad joked.

"Oh ho, dude!" AJ laughed.

"Sorry, I couldn't resist." Brad told him.

"I never saw somehting like that before. Wonder how that works." Daisuke mused.

"Are you ready?" DJ asked.

Just then, Tommy started doing some type of movement which made evryone stare in confusion.

"Um, whatcha doin' there, bub?" Daisuke questioned.

"That a heck of a pre game ritual Tommy has going on out there." Brad commented.

"Hey, we came here to watch some Beyblading, not break dancing." Tyson joked.

"Wait a minute. This looks very familiar." Kenny said as music began to play on the speakers.

Tommy attached his Beyblade to the launcher on his leg while Daisuke pushed her ripcord through the launcher and then attached her Bey.

"Three, two, one! Let it rip!" DJ yelled.

Kicking out his leg, Tommy sent his Beyblade ripping through the air.

"Get him, Drina!" Daisuke called as she released her own Beyblade.

"We are underway!" Brad said.

"And Tommy's leg launch has scorned him a definate speed advantage." AJ added.

"Ah! Now I remember it! That leg move is based on Wei Tai!" Kenny exclaimed.

"Wei who? What are you talking about?" Max questioned.

"Tai style boxing. It's the same thing as Kick Boxing." Ray explained.

"Tommy has found a way to apply the same moves to his beyblade with incredible force." Dizzi said from Kenny's lap.

"And according to legend, the most dangerous move of all is called the Wei Tai Kick." Ray said.

"So, does that mean Daisuke's is trouble?" Tyson asked.

"Didn't I just say that?" Dizzi sighed.

Everyone watched as the two Beyblades bashed against each other, but then Daisuke's eyes trailed off to the mountain range.

A smirk then curved her lips as she stared down at her Beyblade.

"Drina, go!" She called.

Glowing in responce to her partner's words, the Beyblade rushed off towards the mountains and Tommy's Bey was quick to follow after her.

"Don't think you can run away!" Tommy taunted.

"Oh, you are so messing with the wrong girl." Daisuke smirked.

Drina rushed off into the mountains, spinning along the path and evading Tommy's Bey as it chased after her.

Every time it got closer, the white Bey would swerve to the side and just out of its reach.

"Uh oh, looks like they're heading full on into a colision!" Brad said as the two Beyblades both sped off towards a mountain.

"Nowhere to run now!" Tommy chuckled.

Noticing the girl wasn't worried, Tommy frowned at the smirk she wore.

"What are you smiling about?" He questioned.

"We just started this match. I'm not going out so soon. Drina, dodge!" Daisuke called.

Just then, the white Beyblade stopped then jumped off to the right and Tommy gasped as his Beyblade barely avoided ramming into the mountain wall beside it then followed after Drina once again.

"Whoa, what a close call. Now Daisuke's Beyblade is moving through the mountains like some sort of wild cat." AJ said.

"Man, that was a close call. But what is she doing? Why doesn't Daisuke just attack him already?" Tyson asked.

"I'm not sure." Kenny said as he recoded the data of the match on his laptop.

"Daisuke said that this terrain is a perfect match for her Beyblade. I wonder... Do you think Daisuke is taking advantage of this place to try and wear out Tommy's Beyblade before she attacks?" Ray questioned.

"You think so?" Max looked at the tiger master.

"I'm not sure what she's thinking of. What I do know is Daisuke always has a way of surprising people." Demiveemon spoke up.

Everyone kept their eyes on the match as they saw Daisuke's Beyblade easily evading Tommy's as it continued to race through the rocky terrain.

"Enough of this! I'm taking you out!" Tommy yelled.

His Beyblade then surged forward and clased with Daisuke's and the girl narrowed her eyes as her pupils became slits as she stared down at the two battle tops.

"Come on, just a bit more." She muttered.

"Tommy is slamming her pretty hard!" Brad commented.

"Yeah, but it Daisuke gonna just stand there and take it?" AJ asked.

"Not happening." Daisuke said as her Beyblade then rammed into Tommy's and sent it flying a few feet away before it continued rushing off again.

"Why do you keep running?" Tommy yelled.

"This is driving me crazy! What is going on?" Tyson complained as he tightened his grip on Demiveemon.

"What are you planning?" Tommy narrowed his dark eyes.

"You'll have to wait and see. Drina, attack!" Daisuke yelled.

"Look out, they're heading for a steep drop!" Brad said as everyone saw where the two Beyblades had arrived.

They were spinning on a cliff, the one that Andre had chased Ray to and had his Beyblade dangling on the edge of during the first round.

The white Bey then surged forward and rammed into the red one and Tommy grunted as he willed his Beyblade to fight back.

"Come on, knock her back!" Tommy cried.

"Go, Drina, you can do it!" Daisuke called.

"More! Give it all your power!" Tommy yelled.

Sparks were flying from the two Beyblades as their attack rings scraped against each other from their constant contact with each other.

The two Beyblades continued pushing forward and backwards, trying to overpower the other.

"They're in a deadlock!" Kenny cried.

"Check out that fierce fight goin' on down there! They're not holding back!" AJ shouted.

As the two Beyblades continued to clash, Daisuke remained calm as her eyes were glued onto the battle tops.

"Come on, Daisuke! Take him out already!" Tyson yelled as she squeezed poor Demiveemon tightly.

"I can't breath!" The Digimon whined as he struggled to get free.

"Take her out!" Tommy yelled as his Beyblade backed up and prepared to attack Daisuke again.

As the red Beyblade got closer, Daisuke stood calmly as she watched and Tommy smirked in victory.

"Jump!" The girl shouted.

At the last second, the Beyblade jumped off the cliff which made everyone gasp in shock and Tommy's battle top soon spun off as well.

"Oh no!" Max gasped.

"Whoa Nelly! Looks like this match is ending in a draw." Brad said.

"If I'm going out, then at least I'm taking you out with me!" Tommy grinned.

"Not happening." Daisuke sang playfully.

Confused, Tommy stared at the girl as she appeared to be unbothered by the fact that her Beyblade was nearing the water below.

"Drina, Deep Freeze Attack!" Daisuke yelled.

"What's going on here now?" Brad asked.

"Looks like Daisuke isn't going down with a fight." AJ said.

Frozen winds then blew around the white Beyblade as it continued to fall into the water.

"Ah, man, that is one icy breeze!" DJ cried as he flinched away from the cold winds that blew around the area.

Icy mist covered the area, making everyone talk in surprise as they waited for the verdict on the match.

"I can't see a thing down there!" Brad complained.

"Chill out, dude. No pun intended. It looks like the mist is starting to fade." AJ told his partner.

Staring at the dish, everyone saw the mist fade away to reveal the river had been transformed into a yard of sharp spikes made of ice.

Spinning on top of one of the spikes was Daisuke's Beyblade.

As for Tommy's Beyblade, it was trapped inside of a black of ice.

"Looks like I've won!" Daisuke winked playfully.

"The Blade Breakers have added to their team victory total and advance to the next round! Thanks to a winning performance by Daisuke!" DJ yelled.

Demiveemon jumped out of Tyson's arms and ran over to Daisuke who kneeled down to pick up her Digimon and hugged him tightly to her chest.

"Alright, that was awesome!" Tyson cheered.

"I have to wonder, do you think Daisuke had that planned from the start?" Kenny asked.

"Who knows? That girl is pretty unpredictable. You never know what she's gonna do." Ray shrugged.

"Hey, Daisuke." Tommy called.

Turning around, the girl was faced with the three Tall Boys who stared at her.

"Hey, what's up?" Daisuke asked.

Then, they smiled as Tommy held his hand out to the girl who blinked curiously.

"Put 'er there." Tommy said in a friendly manner.

Smiling back, Daisuke grabbed Tommy's hand and shook it.

"That was a pretty good match. Call me up if ya wanna go again." The girl laughed.

Dickenson then walked over to his team, clapping his hands as he smiled at them all as Daisuke walked away from the Tall Boys after she and Tommy grabbed their Beyblades from the melted ice.

"Bravo! I don't think I've ever seen a better match. It was absolutely wonderful. Wouldn't you boys agree?" Mr. Dickinson asked turning to Max, Kenny and Tyson.

"That was pretty fun. Thanks a lot for convincing me to join the team, Mr. D!" Daisuke smiled as she walked up to the man who smiled kindly down at the girl.

"Ah. Oh. Speaking of which, you kids need to start thinking of the next few rounds. You'll probably be facing off against the White Tigers soon." Dickenson warned.

"But of course. There is no way the defending champs are gonna lose the next round." Kenny said.

"Are you sure abou that, Chief? I mean, maybe the other team fluked out a win or something." Tyson suggested.

"Hey, guys, let's head over to the other wing and check it out." Max winked as he wrapped his arms around Tyson and Kenny's shoulders.

"Good idea. Let's move, boys!" Daisuke called as she started rushing off.

The four males then chased after their female teammate and made their way into the upper wing, running inside to see the White Tigers match.

"White Tiger's have the lead. So much for your fluke theory, Tyson." Kenny said after he checked the scoreboard.

"Who's the team they're figthing against anyway? Are they any good?" Tyson asked.

Staring off towards the dish, the group saw that Mariah was the one battling at the moment and she looked quite confident.

She began to chuckle as the blue Beyblade began rushing towards her pink one.

"What's that glow?" Tyson asked when he saw the light beginning to shine from Mariah's Beyblade.

"It must be her Bit Power!" kenny gasped.

Screeching was heard as a large red cat with yellow spots, had green eyes and was dressed in spiky blue and green armour jumped out of the Beyblade, her body covered in pink light.

"Check it out! She has her own Bit Beast, too. Wow!" Tyson exclaimed.

Daisuke narrowed her eyes at the sight of the wild cat as Drina growled when she sensed the other feline.

"Galux, attack!" Mariah cried.

Yowling, Galux pounced down on the opponent's Beyblade and sliced it in half which made the Blade Breakers' eyes grow wide.

"It sliced right down the middle." Kenny observed.

"And its still spinning like nothing happened." Max noted.

"Whoa, cool! She's one wicked Beyblader and I get the feeling we'll be seeing a lot more of her. Most players would dread facing such a tough opponent, but I can't wait!" Tyson stated confidently.

Ray, Daisuke, Demiveemon, Max and Kenny all stared at the bluenette as he got over excited and Kai chose to ignore the boy.

"Let it rip!" Tyson shouted.
