"Do you even know how to play tennis?" I asked, looking at Ryuzaki doubtfully.

"Yes I do, I was the Junior Champion of England."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes."

"Do you still have the skill?"

"Yes."

"Suure."

"What? Don't believe me?"

"Yep."

Ryuzaki sighed.

"I never thought that you would invite me to a tennis match to deepen our friendship." Light said as he walked with Ryuzaki, each holding their tennis equipment.

"Don't worry, you don't need to hold back, I was the Junior Champion of England."

There was a slight pause before Light asked, "Did you live in England?"

"I lived in England for five years, and don't worry. Asking does not increase your chances of being Kira."

Light flinched. I was carefully observing their conversation and noticed that Ryuzaki could often tell what Light was actually thinking when he spoke.

This was going to be more interesting than I thought.

"Yay. Go Ryuzaki."

"You can afford to be a little more enthusiastic."

"Why? You'll probably lose anyways."

Ryuzaki clicked his tongue, "You should have more faith in your fiancé."

I snorted, "Well, I know my fiancé the best. And I'm pretty darn sure you don't know how to play tennis."

Ryuzaki sighed, "I thought I told you I..."

"...was the Junior Champion of England, yes I got that."

He smiled, "As long as you understand."

"Ryuzaki! Do you want to start the match?" Light shouted from the court.

"Yes, let's begin." Ryuzaki turned back to me, "Be enthusiastic."

"Ok ok." I said, annoyed, "Go kick his ass."

"Keep that spirit up."

He walked towards the court, slouching as usual.

Compared to Light, his pale skin made him look even unhealthier than usual. Light had a tall and strong body structure whereas Ryuzaki slouched his back making him seem half his size...

Was I supposed to have faith in him?

"Yay. You can do it."

He wasn't even listening.

I sighed. Whatever.

Ryuzaki was serving the ball first. He gave it a light toss upward and made contact with the ball and racket and the force of hit caused the ball to fly to the other side of the court at an amazing speed.

Wait.

What?

I blinked. Did he just really hit that? Or was I just imagining things?

"Fifteen love," Ryuzaki said indifferently.

"Oy, Ryuzaki! You're already getting competitive?" Light asked with a cold laugh.

"He who takes the initiative wins."

"Go Ryuzaki!"

I was actually cheering for him.

This is actually really strange and embarrassing.

At some point a huge crowd and even a referee and linesman had gathered. The bystanders stood at the side commenting on Light and Ryuzaki.

"Yagami was junior champion back in middle school..."

"How did a referee end up here..."

"Who do you think is gonna win..."

I preferred it when it was quiet.

The intense match raged on until Light gave a final swing of his racket, and the ball flew out of Ryuzaki's reach and ended the game.

"Game set, won by Yagami!" The referee said loudly and firmly, "Six games to four!"

I ran to Ryuzaki who seemed to have a hint of a smile as he looked at Light.

"You actually did pretty well up there." I said as I gave him a light punch on his arm.

"Thanks?"

"I mean, I was expecting you to lose big time, but who knew you had skills?"

He gave me a small glare and flicked me on the forehead.

"Hey!"

"Revenge."

I was about to fire back a comeback when I heard the sound of footsteps. I looked away from Ryuzaki to see Light walking toward us.

"Do you guys want to go to a cafe?" He asked with a smile, "I want to discuss some things with Ryuzaki. You can come along if you want, Yuki."

Ryuzaki began speaking, "No, she doesn't have to..."

"I'm coming!" I declared.

"Great, well, let's get going."
