Author's Note: Riku chapter! And once again, I'm very sorry that I took forever to update. For me, school just started recently, and my focus has mainly been on that. Thank you guys so much for all of your support in this story. I'm glad to have readers like you guys. So I'm planning to have 19 chapters in this story, but it may have more or less.

Dedication: To all of those kids out there who don't have any friends, who get bullied, and all of those kids who committed suicide because of bullying. To those kids who are invisible. Bullies are just cowards. Don't let anybody tell you otherwise.

Disclaimer: I don't own Kingdom Hearts. The last names for the characters aren't mine either.

Warnings: Bullying, use of swearing, OOCness, child abuse, blood, character death, and whatever else comes to me as I write the story.

Chapter 10: Hard Times

Riku's POV

We all turned to Kairi as her phone buzzed. She looked like she wanted to throw the phone at the wall.

"I've gotta take this." Kairi said, walking out of the room. We each shared a look, and returned our gazes to the screen.

I blinked and looked towards the door when I heard Kairi's voice start to rise. She seemed to be very upset.

"Guys, I have to go. I'm sorry." Kairi said, returning to the room before leaving again.

"I wonder what that was all about." Sora wondered aloud. We all slowly turned our heads back to the screen and watched the movie again.

After the movie, we had started a game of truth or dare. Currently it was Roxas' turn.

"Alright. Namine, truth or dare?" Roxas asked.

"Truth." Namine said.

"Alright. Why do you draw angels?" Roxas asked.

"Well, my mom told me that my dad is an angel who will always look over me. My dad died in a car accident." Namine said.

"My mom died in a car accident as well, ten years ago." I said.

"That's when my dad died, ten years ago from last month." Namine said. My eyes widened.

"Where was the car accident?" I asked. The corner that she spoke of made me freeze.

"I think... that my mom and your dad... died in the same car accident..." I said. Her eyes widened as well.

"I lost both of my parents in a car accident." Roxas said. We all turned to Xion.

"I was raised by both of my parents." Sora said.

"How about you Xion? Were you raised by both of your parents?" Namine asked.

"My mother was shot when I was five years old." Xion said. I saw a flicker of anger in her eyes, and I was a little bit confused.

"I'm sorry." Sora said quietly. Xion said absolutely nothing.

"Well... um... do you guys-" I was cut off as my brother Kadaj walked into the room.

"There's someone on the phone for Xion." Kadaj said, a concerned look on his face. Xion looked confused and a little bit scared. She took the phone from my brother and Kadaj left.

"Hello?" Xion asked. The person on the other end of the line talked for a bit before her eyes widened. The phone slipped from her hands and hit the floor, and she took off running.

"Xion!" Namine called. We all got up and ran off after her. She was already at the front door by the time we were at the top of the stairs. We ran downstairs and they took off out the door after her. I stopped for a moment by my brother.

"We have to go after her, I'll be back later!" I said quickly, running out the door after them. I turned my head to where I saw Namine, Sora, and Roxas. I ran after them.

"Where's she going?" I asked.

"I'm not sure, but this is the way to the hospital." Roxas said. My eyes widened and the four of us started running faster.

"Xion?" I heard Kairi's voice question just up ahead.

"Kairi, we think she's headed to the hospital!" Sora said quickly as we ran past her. Kairi's eyes widened and she ran after us.

"Why's she running to the hospital?" Kairi asked.

"We don't know, she got a phone call and took off out the door!" I said. The hospital was in view now, and Xion ran through the doors. We followed after her and she looked frantic as she talked to the woman.

"I'm afraid that you'll have to wait out here." The woman said. Xion looked ready to argue, but she relaxed a little and nodded, walking over to some of the chairs. She sat down and we took chairs around her.

"Xion, what's wrong?" Namine asked.

"My brother... he... he's..." Xion trailed off. For once, the shield over her eyes was gone. Kairi put a hand on her shoulder as though to comfort her. Xion flinched and looked up. Her eyes fixed on a man across the waiting room. He had black hair like hers. His blue eyes were staring right into hers.

"You. This is all your fault!" Xion growled. He smirked at her.

"No, it's your fault. You're the one who left the house. So don't go blaming your father." He said.

"You are NOT my father!" Xion yelled. The hospital staff looked like they were trying to decide whether or not they had to intervene.

"Mr. Hokkaido? I'm sorry to inform you that his injuries were too much for him. He didn't make it." The doctor said. Xion's jaw dropped, and our eyes widened. Tears started to form in Namine's eyes. The rest of us were too stunned to react.

"You... this is all your fault! You killed my brother!" Xion yelled. She ran towards her father and promptly tackled him, knocking the chair over in the process. She started to viciously punch and kick at him, screaming the whole time.

"Xion!" Roxas and I ran over to her and attempted to pull her off of her father.

"You beat him to death! You killed him! You killed Vanitas! You killed my brother!" Xion yelled hysterically. Roxas and I finally managed to yank her off of her father. She was trying with everything she had to get away from us.

"Xion, what are you talking about?" Roxas asked.

"That asshole murdered my brother! He beat him to death! Just like he wanted to do to me!" Xion yelled, clawing at us and trying to get back to her father.

"Are you saying that your father abused you and your brother?" The doctor questioned.

"OF COURSE HE DID!" Xion screamed.

"She's insane! I did no such thing." Xaldin said, his eyes narrowed.

"YES HE DID! HE MURDERED MY BROTHER! MY BROTHER DIDN'T FALL DOWN THE STAIRS, HE WAS BEATEN TO DEATH!" Xion screamed. By now some more hospital staff had arrived and were holding her back instead of us.

"I'm afraid I'm going to have to ask you kids to leave." A man said to us. I nodded and left with Sora, Kairi, Roxas, and Namine. We were all too stunned to protest.

"I knew it. I knew she didn't just fall down the stairs." I said quietly.

"What do you mean?" Roxas asked just as quietly.

"When Xion was in the hospital and Vanitas said that she fell down the stairs. Her father put her into the hospital." I said, sitting on the curb just outside the hospital. The other Invisibles joined me.

"I... I guess I'd better text my dad to come pick me up..." Roxas said. He pulled out his phone and texted his father. We all nodded and did the same.

My brothers arrived first. We stayed until the others had been picked up before they took me home. I had explained the situation to them already and they had understood perfectly and explained it to dad. I watched them pull out of the driveway and head back to their house before I finally went to my room. I laid in bed for a long time, thinking over everything that had happened. It was early morning before I finally got to sleep.

Well... I think I packed a bit too much drama into one chapter...

Skylar Windsong: Thanks! Yeah, her dad's awful. I'd hate having him as my dad too.

Jesusfreak9224: Thanks!

Moonlight queen: Thanks, and I'll try harder to get more chapters up faster.

Guest: Haha, thanks for the review!

WaitingForLife2Begin: Thanks, I'm hoping to somehow help some people with my writing, and even if it doesn't help anybody, I'm glad to have people who like reading it anyways.
