I: Interesting is a way to put it.
Myself: *snores* chocolate pie...mmmmm.*continues snoring*

"It's Morgarath. We need to get out of here. Quickly."
"You don't have to tell me twice." He commented. "Are you going to use your magical element-bending abilities?"
"I can sure try Gilan. I can sure try."

"Ally. Whatever you're doing, you better do so quickly. They're getting closer."
"I can't do anything if you keep distracting me by telling me how far they are. I'm having a hard enough time concentrating on my own. There's barely any source of energy in this desolate excuse for land." I reached out my mind even further into the rocks to try and find anything I could that would help me. I found very little, but enough that I could at least get us in the Solitary Plains. I opened my eyes and stared at Gilan.
"Let's go." I said. I stood up from where I was sitting on the ground and faced the way that Morgarath was coming from. I walked over to Dûrion and whispered something to him.
"Lofalow ot su Redmont. Lilala su hetera." He shook his mane. I loosened the straps on his saddle and grabbed anything that was either useful or that would just slow him down. I patted his neck.
"Aray. Aray.." He shook his mane then trotted off. Gilan looked at his retreating back, then at me, then back at Dûrion.
"Did...Did you just...Send away our ride?"
"No. It's hard enough to transport one person, let alone two. Let alone two people and a horse. He knows the way to where we're going."
"Where are we going?"
"Redmont. I have someone I need to talk to."
"Well, that's a good place to go."
"Granted, I can't get us all the way there, probably only to the Solitary Plains. But then I can get more energy from the grass to get us to Western Woods, then from there to Redmont. I hope."
"Wait, wait, wait, wait...You hope? Have you ever done this before?"
"A few times, but nowhere this far. But it will work. Come here." Gilan walked over to me and I grabbed his shoulders. Before I sent us off, I looked over Gilan's shoulders. Morgarath and his men were now visible over the hill.
"This might feel a bit strange." I warned him. I closed my eyes and made all the energy I had stored up gather inside me. Dust began swirling around our feet and the wind picked up. Gilan kept looking over his shoulder at the slowly advancing Morgarath. The dust reached our heads and completely covered us. The wind began swirling faster and faster around us until it was a thick cloak. A low hum began and I felt a tug in my gut. In a spilt second, a bright flash pierced my eyes and a loud whoosh flew past my ears. I got one last look at Morgarath before we vanished and I could read his face perfectly. It wasn't over. He would find me and make me pay. I had officially completely ticked off the most dangerous man in the lands.
"Until we meet again, Ally Mayta." Then, something close to a tornado sucked us up into the air and we were off.

As we were being pulled toward the Solitary Plains, I remembered why I never did this particular type of travel. Already, I could feel my energy depleting and and my head starting to spin. The cloud around began to thin and I saw the ground coming towards us. Before we hit it, a gust of wind blew at us and made us land softly in the tall grass. I guess we made it into the Solitary Plains. When I hit the ground, I rolled a few times to break the fall. Looking to the side, I saw the same happened to Gilan. I tried to stand up, but almost immediately fell back over. A sudden chill ran down my spine and I felt something drip down my nose. I touched it with my fingers and when I looked at it, it was red. Blood. The smell of copper was fresh in my nose. If I didn't get some energy soon, I would die.
"Ally?" Gilan walked over to me. "Are you all right?" I took a breath, but began choking on something. I coughed and covered my mouth with my hand. When I pulled my hand back, it was covered in blood. Gilan kneeled down next to me.
"Ally, what happened?"
"I'm fine...Just..Energy...I need it..." I put my hand on the tall grass and tried to pull any bit of magic I could out of it. There was barely any in the stalks of grass, considering that it was mostly dead, but there was also some in the soil. I grabbed some, and almost immediately felt the surge of power in my veins. I took a deep breath. I wiped the blood off my face and sat up. I reached my mind out further around me to find every bit of life I could. When I gathered enough to fill my body back up and have enough to transport Gilan and myself to the West Woods. I stood up and went next to Gilan. I put my hand on his shoulder but he moved it off.
"We can wait. You need to rest." I waved him off.
"I'm fine."
"Ally. You just literally moved mountains for us to get here. I know magic well enough to know that even if you fill yourself back up again it doesn't help the pit in your body. I am forcing you to stay." I laughed.
"Oh, yeah. How are you planning on doing that?" He flicked his hand and my legs went numb.
"Poison has many uses, Ally. I'm only doing it for your good."
"Oh, screw you." I mumbled. But I knew it wouldn't do any good. He would force me to stay here until he deemed me fit to transport us.
"It's getting dark. We might as well stay the night here." I looked at him.
"Here. In the out in the open of nowhere? Who knows who's out there."
He motioned around us.
"Do you see anywhere else to go. Out here there are no trees, no rocks, nothing except this darn grass." As if to emphasize his point, he kicked the grass around his legs.
"Gilan, I appreciate your concern, but I'm fine. I have bad experiences in this place. Let's get out." He threw his hands up in exasperation.
"Fine." I put my hands on his shoulders and began the process again. The grass swirled around our feet and grains shot into the air. As we were being pulled, I gathered up as much power as I could and stored it anywhere I could. In my knives, my amulet, and my sword. I knew enough about the West Woods to know that there wasn't much there that could help me. It was mostly dead trees and shrubs. I closed my eyes, and for the second time in the day, I was ripped from the ground.

As we were being sucked through the tunnel that would drop us in the Western Woods, I could again already feel it draining my energy. Suddenly, it stopped. I knew we hadn't traveled far enough to be in the Western Woods. I could still feel the flowing grass of the Plains below us. But it felt like it was thinning. The air pocket deposited us on the ground and again I rolled to break the impact. This time, the effects hit me harder. Immediately, there was a pit in my stomach and my head spun in circles. Without warning, coughs racked my body. Again, I could feel the blood trailing down my mouth. Gilan came over to me and sat next to me.
"Ally, may I inquire as to why we are still in the Solitary Plains?"
"I..don't...don't know... If you look..North Westish, you...can see...Western Woods." That was all I could get out at the moment because I was choking on my own blood. I tried coughing it out, but it just kept coming. I tried to regain myself long enough to get some energy from the grasses. I got some. Enough that I could quit coughing up blood. Then I gathered some more to keep me going for a while. I looked at Gilan again.
"Let's go." I stood up and walked past him. I turned around to see him standing in the same spot. "You coming with?"
"Yeah, but...aren't you going to use your magic to transport us?"
"I can't. If I try anything big like that anytime soon, it'll kill me."
"Oh."
"Sorry. But we have to walk. At least until we get in the woods somewhere. It'll take Morgarath at least 2 days to reach us. And that would be going nonstop. We can afford to rest a bit. Plus, we need to find some food. both having my blood sucked out and transporting us this far have drained my resources. And looking at you, I can assume you don't fare any better. This is our best option." He nodded his head.
"Agreed. I'm actually kind of hungry now that you mention it." I smiled then turned to walk back towards the woods. Even from here, I could see the dead trees that spiked into the sky like fingers trying to grab the smallest bit of light they could. Based on what I figured it would take about 4 hours to reach to edge. I then looked at the sun and figured we only had around 3 hours until the sun was down. We either had to run the whole way, stop where we were now out in the open, or walk as far as we could before the sun hit the end. Gilan walked right past me and smiled.
"Well, should we get going? We have a bit to go, and I would like to not be out in the open when night falls."
"Agreed, Gilan, agreed."
