The Next Day

Now that Laura and Rydel decided to start a relationship, nothing seemed awkward anymore. Riker, Raini, Rocky, Calum, Ratliff, Ryland, Stormie and Mark had no idea what had happened, but Ross was fully aware.

Raini is still ignoring Riker and Riker is finally realizing how badly he screwed up. If he could take it back, he would in a heartbeat.

Rydel was sitting down in the room behind the bunks and Ross joined her.

"So, I'm guessing you and Laura made up?" Ross asked with a smile. "What gave it away?" Rydel asked. "Well you're smiling like a fool," Ross said. Rydel smiled. "But mainly because I can see the hickey on your neck," Ross chuckled.

Rydel's eyes widened. She quickly fixed her shirt and Ross laughed.

"I'm going to take it that you and Laura had your second time the other night," Ross said. "And our third the next morning," Rydel smiled as she remembered walking into the shower with Laura.

Ross's eyes widened. "Wow.." Ross chuckled. Rydel blushed. "Aww. My big sister is in love," Ross squealed quietly. Rydel blushed. She was in love.

Rydel slowly got up from the couch. When she was about to leave to get food, she ended up tripping over Laura's suitcase and a bunch of clothes fell out. "Ow, damn it," Rydel grimaced. Ross bent down and helped Rydel clean up Laura's belongings.

All of a sudden, a golden picture frame smashed on the floor accidentally, breaking it into pieces. "Shit," Rydel mumbled as she swept up the shards of glass.

As Rydel threw the broken pieces of the frame away, Ross picked up the picture that was inside the frame.

It was the picture of Laura and her mom. He smiled at it. Rydel approached him and caught a glimpse of the picture.

"I think there's writing on the back of it," Rydel said. Ross turned the picture around and he read the note aloud.

"Dear Mom,

I miss you. But I know you're not suffering anymore. I know you were sick for a long time and you didn't want to draw attention to it.

I'll never forget your voice and your loving personality. I know I lied to my friends about where you went. I just didn't know how to tell them the truth.

I still think about you everyday and sometimes I don't want to get out of bed. I love you, mom.

Love,

Laura."

Ross and Rydel stared down at the note in shock. They had no idea that Laura's mom died. They looked at each other in shock. They set the picture in Laura's suitcase before running off to find her.

Laura took the opportunity to take a walk on this perfect day. She wasn't too far from the bus, but just enough so she could have space.

She sat down by the clear fresh water lake. She saw her reflection in the water. She just needed to relax. It's been hard to do since her mom passed.

Ross and Rydel saw her sitting by the lake. They frowned. They couldn't believe that all this time, she had made up a lie about her mother's whereabouts and his her feelings from them.

"Laura," Ross called out. Laura looked over at her best friend and her girlfriend. They looked concerned. "Hey guys," she said surprised before approaching them.

"Laura.. We.." Ross didn't even know how to tell her. She could be fine with the fact that they know, or she could bawl her eyes out. He looked over at Rydel. He thought that if Laura heard this from her girlfriend, the impact wouldn't be as strong.

Rydel caught Ross's reasoning and turned to Laura. "Laura, sweetie. We know about your mom," she admitted.

Laura's eyes widened. "How'd you find out?" Laura asked nervously. "I tripped over your suitcase and some things fell out. I accidentally dropped your picture and the frame broke. We saw the note you wrote on the back of it," Rydel explained.

Laura frowned. "I'm so sorry," Rydel said sadly. "It's okay. I just miss her," Laura said sadly. Rydel saw the tears in her eyes. She pulled Laura close and hugged her tightly. "It's okay. Let it out," Rydel said.

Ross hugged her too. They spent about ten minutes consoling Laura.

Riker sat alone in the tour bus. He's felt so guilty about what he said to Raini about the baby. The reason he stormed off after she yelled at him was because he was so disgusted with himself.

He needed to make up with her. And fast. He didn't know how, but he let his instincts tell him what to do.

Quickly, he got off of the bus and went to the nearest store.

Riker got out of a cab and started to get everything ready. As he was about to start, he saw the shittiest thing he could endure.

Raini was kissing a random guy.
