The test was only an hour long with twenty-five questions. Something's I had to work out and others were just a basic answer for me. Once I was finished I turned in my test and waited for the only students to finish. Korra was finished, which was a no brainer after all she was a math geek. I looked at my watch and noticed that I used fifty-five minutes of the hour for the test; hopefully that was good enough since I double checked everything as well. The bell rang and I quickly left the room just to clear any thoughts about the test from my head.

"Hey Mako." I hear someone call behind me and I turn around to see Korra jogging up to me and I smiled. If anyone could make me smile it was her and Bolin.

"Hey Korra."

"You left out the room pretty quick. Are you okay?" she asked. I honestly didn't know what okay was anymore, so much has changed in the past few weeks with my life.

"Yeah, just scared about my test grade."

"I have hope that you'll pass." She said before kissing my cheek and walking off to her next class.
"Way to go Mako!" I heard. I turned around to see Bolin, Tahno, and Iroh walking towards me.

"What's up with that kiss I saw from Korra?" Tahno asked. Here we go.

"He asked her out to homecoming." Bolin said hopping to drop the subject like I was.

"Oh my little Mako is growing all up." Iroh said with a laugh before the second bell rung and we walked off to our different classes.

THE END OF THE DAY

Finally it was the end of the day and I was more than happy to go home for the night and relax. I stood by the car and waited for Korra to saw up so we could make plans for the evening. I guessing we're not going to her house for the rest of the time being due to that her father is there and he probably doesn't really like me. I see her walking up and her face is happy mixed with sadness, but I won't press the subject unless she wants to talk about it.

"Hey City Boy." She said before hugging me. Over the time we spent hanging out I noticed a lot about Korra. First off she is very short compared to my six foot fame and she loves the color blue. Like really loved blue.

"Hey, ready to go?" I asked and she nodded before I opened the door for her and climbed to my side of the car.

"So where are we going?"

"Your house." I was shocked that she said this. Korra has never been to my house before but my mother and father really wanted to meet her, but if that's what she wants then I'm willing to take her there. Let's hope my family does not embarrass me while she's there.

"Okay, but can I ask you something?"

"Sure."

"Why not your house?"

"Well I don't think my dad likes you and I would like my date to see the light of our homecoming."

"Now can I continue asking questions?"

"Ask away."

"Let me know if I push too far. Why doesn't your dad live with you?" After asking the question I feel as though I pushed way to far before I had a chance to ask anymore questions.

"If you don't want to answer it that's fine."

"No I'm good it's that no one really ever asked about dad before." She took a deep breath. "When I was younger my parents use to fight a lot and one day while my dad was at work, my mom packed her and my stuff and we moved here to the city. I never knew why I never saw my dad a lot after we moved and I always thought that he would come see me after we got to the city but he never came. So when my mom told me that he was coming to visit I was scared out of my mind. I didn't want him here and I want him to go back to Canada and enjoy his life far away from me."

This is really heartbreaking coming out of her mouth and I see why she has a hard time letting people into her life. He father and mother fighting at a young age is never good for a child because they can have trust issues, but also that her father didn't call her to see how she was doing after all this years was too much. We didn't say anything much after that but we finally made it to my house.

"I hope my mother is going to be happy that you're finally going to meet her."

"I'm happy to meet her as well." Korra said with a smile. I saw Bolin's, my dad's, and mom's car all in the driveway, noting that everyone is home.

"Get ready." I said before I opened the door and let her inside. "Mom I'm home. Can you come here for a minute please?"

"I'm coming no need to rush me."

"Mom this is Korra. Korra this is my mom Lisa."

"Hi." My mom said to her and took her hand and shook it. "You must be the wonderful Korra."

"Yes I am."

"Honey come here!" then my dad walked in.

"This is Korra. Korra this is my husband Frank." So far so good.

"Nice to meet you Korra." Everyone shook hands and my mom lead us to the living room where Bolin was playing on the Xbox with my dad.

"Hey Korra." He said.

"Hey Bolin." She said back.

"If you want to show her around the house Mako you can." My mom said before returning to the kitchen to finish dinner. "Korra honey, would you like to stay for dinner?" Really mom?

"I would love too."
