A/N – Back at this whole writing thing…I hate that I don't update as often as I used to back when I wrote Klaroline stories but with 3 kids and summer vacation it is hard to find the time. I love writing and I LOVE Bellarke so I will keep writing…and try my best to update as often as I can! I hope at least some of you are still with me and continue to enjoy this story and my writing!
CHAPTER 10
The limo pulled up to the castle. Dad was waiting impatiently on the steps. I am sure he was told right away that my mom and I were safe but I imagine he didn't breathe again until he saw with his own eyes that we were okay.
After our little reunion I made my way up to my room while my parents met with the security team. With all the commotion I had almost forgot that I invited Octavia over for lunch. I grabbed my phone and sent her a quick message.
'Hey, are we still on for lunch today?'
'Hey, Bellamy told me what went down today. Are you OK? If you want to postpone our lunch that is more than ok with me.'
'I am a little shaken up but I am ok. And no I don't want to postpone, you will help me take my mind off things. I will leave now to pick you up.'
I changed out of my dress and threw on a pair of jeans and a top. I made my way down to the security office to request a ride so I could pick up Octavia.
"I'm sorry Princess but everyone is still in the security meeting and as far as I know we are not allowing anyone to leave the grounds."
"I am just picking up a friend, we are coming back to the castle to have lunch."
"I'm sorry."
I let out a loud aggravated sigh before turning around and heading back up to my room. On my way down the hall I pulled my phone from my back pocket and started typing to Octavia.
'I am so sorry. They aren't letting anyone leave the grounds right now. I will text you if they lift the barricade any time soon.'
Just as I hit the send button I crashed into someone. I looked up and saw Bellamy. It took him less than a second to pull me in to the biggest, tightest hug I had ever had. His hand landed on the back of my head and gently rubbed down my hair. After a few seconds he pulled away but kept his hands on my arms.
"How are you doing?"
I shrugged my shoulders. "I mean physically I am okay. I am pretty shook up still. Trying to not think about it too much."
"They are keeping more security on until further notice."
I sighed. "They won't let me go pick up your sister for our lunch."
He gave me a small sad smile. "Yeah they won't be allowing any of you to leave for at least the rest of today." He paused. "Look I can't hang around here..." He glanced above us. "…cameras. I will come find you a bit later." He gave me a wink than walked away.
I got back to my room and collapsed on my bed.
'No problem, I understand. I am just glad you are OK. Maybe I can get a ride with Bellamy tomorrow.'
The rest of my day was boring. I ended up going through my closet and getting some things together to give to Octavia. I never wore half of what was in my closet and I had beautiful things…it's a shame to let them just hang there.
Unfortunately the barricade they placed on the castle didn't effect incoming visitors. Finn showed up just an hour before dinner so of course my mother invited him to stay.
We all sat down to dinner and I smiled over at Bellamy who was standing at one of the doorways. He of course didn't acknowledge me at all.
"I am so relieved that you weren't hurt Clarke." Finn says before taking a sip of his drink. "When I heard of the attack my eyes were glued to the television"
I laughed. "Funny, I didn't get a text or call from you asking how I was."
I glanced at Bellamy. He didn't laugh but I noticed that he pulled his lips in as if to stop a smile from appearing on his face.
I knew Finn was a bit taken back by my comment and that he was trying to come up with a response. "Well…I figured you would be busy with your parents and going over new security procedures."
"That was very thoughtful, Finn." My mother said before taking a bite of her chicken.
I rolled my eyes. "So daddy." I said looking over at him. "Will I be able to leave the grounds tomorrow afternoon?"
"I am not sure sweetheart. We have another security meeting tonight."
"And where do you need to be going tomorrow afternoon?" My mom asked.
"Picking up a friend for lunch."
"Well if the ban is still up you can send a limo for your friend and security can bring her here." My dad suggested.
"Thanks daddy."
"So who is this friend?"
I glanced at Bellamy. He was staring right at me instead of straight ahead like the team usually does when we eat. "Um…Octavia Blake."
"Who?" My mother was completely clueless. She had no idea of Bellamy's last name…actually I am pretty positive she didn't even know his first name.
"She is Bellamy Blake's sister." I said gesturing towards the handsome man standing just a few feet away.
"And who is Bellamy Blake." My mother asked, obviously missing my gesture.
My dad let out a small laugh. "Security team, dear."
My mother stopped mid bite and looked over at me. "Clarke…" She began.
"Mother…" I interrupted. I gave her my best 'don't say something rude' face.
"Maybe you should invite Finn over for lunch."
I looked over at Finn and gave him an obviously fake smile then looked back over to my mom. "I have lunch plans with Octavia. I already had to cancel on her today…last minute." I paused. "I am really in need of some girl talk." I looked over at Finn again. "You understand, Finn." The absolute last thing I wanted to do was have lunch with Finn, it was bad enough I was forced to look at him through dinner…and he was messing up my view of Bellamy.
I was glad when Finn said his goodbyes right after dinner. Part of me thought it had a little to do with Bellamy standing about four feet behind him the entire night. I made my way up to my room as soon as I was able to. I grabbed my phone off my nightstand and sent Bellamy a quick test.
'Don't forget…we have a milk and cookies date tonight!'
'Looking forward to it!'
I opened up my camera and laid down on my bed. I took several selfies and decided to send him one regular one and one where I am making a kiss face.
'Beautiful.'
I decided that I needed more photos of Bellamy…and of me and Bellamy together so I planned on doing something about that tonight.
I laid around and watched television until I heard a knock at the door. I jumped off the bed and went to open it with a huge smile on my face.
"You should really ask who it is first." He said with a smirk.
I rolled my eyes and stepped aside so he could come in. We sat on my bed and Bellamy got the cookies and milk out of the bag.
"So, how worried should I be about everything going on?"
Bellamy took a sip of milk. "It is good to be aware of it…but…don't loose sleep over it." He paused and took a bite of his Oreo. "Besides…you have a kick ass security team."
I laughed then grabbed another Oreo. Oreos and me were so dangerous…once I had one I just wanted more and more. I grabbed my phone off one of my nightstands. "I need some pictures of us together."
"Oh you need them?"
"Yup." I place my glass of milk on my nightstand then scooted closer to Bellamy and laid my head on his shoulder. I held my cellphone above our heads. "Okay, smile!" Just as I hit the button he tickled me.
"Send me that one." He said laughing.
"No way, I look awful."
"Impossible."
Hope you guys enjoyed the chapter!
