"Be sure to avoid the Calm Belt," Skull stated.
"Eeeh, but it has been a while that we have eaten sea kings," I commented.
"Idiot! Like hell, we can have such huge sea king on our ship." Mira retorted while hitting the back of my head.
"Tch. I get it just stop hitting me. It's annoying." I said.
"The one who is annoying is you," she said.
"Skull, how does the Reverse Mountain work?" Ace asked.
"That place is unique in that river from the Blues flow up the mountain, meet t the top, and then flows down into the Grand Line. This due to the fact that the mountain, being a "Winter Island" using Grand Line terminology, is much colder than the surrounding sea in the blue but not in the Grand Line. Many pirates entering the Grand Line die before they even get up to the top of the mountain, because of the hostile water currents and storms force them t crash into mountain walls. But that won't happen with Mir here with us." Skull explained.
"As expected of Skull," Leo exclaimed.
"You're like a walking encyclopedia." Deuce joked.
The Reverse Moutain came into our view.
"I can the mountain already!" I announced.
"So that's the Red Line." Ace stated.
"The entrance to the Grand Line..." that were the only words our navigator could say on what she was seeing.
"It didn't expect to be this huge!" yelled Skull.
"I can't see the top because of the clouds." Deuce inquired.
The currents became wilder by the second we approached the river that was going upwards.
"Those currents are a bit irritating. Mira, where is the entrance?!" Leo mentioned.
"Don't worry, Leo. You re handling the helm well. Keep going straight!" she declared.
"Is that a canal entrance?" Ace demanded her.
"Most likely."
"The damn ocean really is flowing up the mountain!" Skull commented.
"We gotta make our way through those water gates just right! Otherwise, the ship will be busted into pieces" she warned us.
"It seems our real adventure will begin now. Are you guys ready?" Ace asked us with a bright smile on his face while holding his hat.
"Of course!" I answered him.
"I am readier than ever!" Deuce responded.
"I'm okay!" Mira replied
"I'm ready, Captain," Skull reported.
"I'm totally ready." Leo returned.
"Then let's go to the Grand Line!" Ace announced.
The weather finally cleared up from earlier.
We had storms and it was snowing an raining the whole time.
"Aaah! It finally cleared up!" Ace said with a refreshing tone.
"Don't let your guard down. Get used to the changing weather, because things like these will happen often." I warned him.
"You sure know how to survive here, Taiyou," Skull stated.
"As far as I can remember I have always been in the Grand Line," I replied.
"How did you get in East Blue?" Deuce asked.
"I left my home and stole a boat and then drifted away to somewhere. That's how I ended up in East Blue." I responded.
"As expected of an idiot like you," Leo asserted.
"The hell do you want, jerk. I will slice you up." I retorted.
"Try me." he challenged me while lifting his feet.
A fist hit my head and I screamed in agony.
"Can't you guys get along with each other?" she yelled.
"Mira, you should leave them be. It's not like they will kill each other." Deuce said.
She placed her hands on her face and we heard a sobbing sound.
Was she crying?
"We should make good memories together if we ever get apart, I don't remember us fighting each other," she said while sobbing.
"I understand just stop crying already," I reassured
"Yes, Mira. We will get along from now on." Leo added.
We all started to calm her down.
"Just kidding," she declared with a big smile while showing a tube with 'fake tears' on it.
She was joking...
"Let's dump her in the water," Leo suggested.
"The perfect punishment for her." I agreed.
"Wait. I was joking. Let this lone woman have some entertainment." she excused.
"She's right. She is the only woman on this ship. Leave her be." Ace ordered.
"Tch. Next time, I will-" I tried to threaten her but was interrupted.
"PLEASE HELP ME!"
I didn't sense the little girl who suddenly appeared on our ship.
She was totally green and was floating.
Green and floating?
The little girl looked at Skull.
"AAAAAAAH!"
"AAAAAAH!"
They screamed at each other.
"Skeleton..." she mentioned with fear in her voice.
"Like hell, you can be scared of me. You're a ghost and I am a living human."
"What's wrong with being a ghost and talking skeletons are way scarier than a ghost."
"You can talk too, brat and I am a human."
"Let's leave it at that. You said you needed help?" Deuce questioned her.
"Yes. Bad treasure hunters are coming for daddy's treasure. Daddy always said that treasure belongs to pirates not to dirty treasure hunters."
"I am sure we weren't the first pirates passing here. Why us?"
"As a ghost, I can see the goodwill and bad will of a human. I'm still a ghost because I haven't entrusted my father treasure to someone with goodwill," she explained.
Our navigator had huge stars in her eyes.
"Not only can we help a kid with her last wish but we can get a lot of money too," Mira yelled.
"How did keep the people with bad will away?" Deuce questioned.
"I scare them away. It's a nice trit of being a ghost." The girl answered.
"The grand line sure is strange. What will we encounter after this?" Leo wondered.
"Ghost. Little girl. Treasure. I have found the link. The tale I heard went like this. A pirate named William was travelling with his crewmates and found on a certain island a huge treasure. He never spent a single ingot of the gold. 'I will use it when I really need it' he said. He got married and got a child together. He was living together with his family and his crewmates on the island where he kept his treasure. But his crewmate betrayed him and killed everyone his friends and his family. On the verge of death, Wiliam managed to kill the traitor. It was a massacre nobody on the island is alive. The plants and the animals are all dead. Nobody dares to get the treasure because a ghost is guarding it. That's why it's called Dead Island. That's what I have heard."
"What's your name?" Ace asked her.
"I'm Anna."
"I see. We will gladly take the treasure." Ace announced.
"You sure about this? It might be a trap." I reminded him.
"If it is a trap we bust through it." Ace replied.
"Such a reckless idea, but I like it." Deuce voiced ut his opinion.
Ace held his and gave us a big smile.
"It's a treasure, you guys. We are definitely going to get. Let's go!"
"YES!"
"Thank you very much, Ace-san!"
Thanks for reading!
