Chapter 10: LAST WISH.
After Gan Ning's rescue there were a few days of rest, but things went downhill from there, news about uncle Zhou Yu's illness spread in camp and reached some Wei soldiers ears as well. It was his idea to turn this rumour as an advantage for us. Acting like a decoy in the middle of the battlefield. I wasn't fond to the idea, not that my opinion meant anything to the Wu strategists, I just complied how it could be a good plan for Lu Meng and Lu Su. Uncle Yu already wasn't in the best conditions that was crystal clear, but this was sure a death sentence to my eyes.
"This is wrong." I mumbled.
"You said it like five times already."
"I know, I just can't get over it."
"I understand, honestly, I'm against this plan too, risking one of the cleverest mind in Wu as a prey for Wei's army doesn't seem rewarding at all, but It's lord Zhou Yu's decision and we must stand by it, Shi."
Shi sighed, hating how her bodyguard always had the perfect speech to make her feel stupid.
"I care for him, I don't want to see him step out on the battlefield, alone, so he can lure them out from their stupid massive garrisons."
"We can stay here and argue about it all day, things won't change as much as we want them to."
"I know, but this sucks, I wish I could do something... I don't doubt uncle Yu's capabilities, something doesn't feel right."
"That is because you are worried," He smiled, placing his right hand on her shoulder and gave it a light squeeze to comfort her "all we can do is respect his courage and hope for the best." Lu Xun said in a quiet voice.
Shi turned as he retreated his hand and give him a small nod. She was still preoccupied, a weight on her stomach, but tried to bear with it, not knowing what she could possibly do.
The girl's breath itched as she saw the handsome strategist putting his plan on action. His figure slowly dissapearing from their settled camp, which was the same base she had fought along Gan Ning previously. They could only stare anxiously for his return, while soldiers were ready to attack at the signal.
After minutes, that felt hours, his form strode back with the horse to their side, his hand giving the sign he was followed by the blue armored men. He made it and Lu Meng gave him the support he needed to stand as he dropped from the horse.
Shi's eyes narrowed, action was taking over a few feet away from her, her body moved on her own toward the killing mass. Lu Xun's eyes snapped at her and followed suit.
Blow after blow she remembered herself it was either them or her. Or the people she loved. In the mass she noticed, the general that persued her uncle, the man she met once, Li Dian. His boyish features deceived his abilities and intellect, she reminded herself.
Her legs moved towards him, she wanted to do the big catch. Lu Xun wanted to yell at her, the princess of Wu throwing herself at the mercy of one of the Wei's general as if it was nothing. All of his being panicked, he runned as fast as he could.
She striked him with her weapon but he easily blocked it with his heavvier spinner lance.
"You, this is no playground little girl." He appeared to remember her.
"You should remember the way we kids made you fail your attack too." Shi smirked finding little confidence, striking a second time swiftly.
The blue eyed man flashed a smirk as well "A tough girl I see, this might be intereasting." As much as that thing probably weighted, he didn't seem to faze it. She didn't manage to hit him once, other than a few kicks on his full armor.
Two blades had suddenly joined the match, making it harder for the man to mantain the rhythm in clear disadvantage. He looked around and saw that the boy that had joined in the fight made his way killing many of his soldiers.
He found himself and only a few of his soldiers left trapped into a red sea soon enough with blood running from his arm thanks to the furious young man he was facing, understanding it was better to leave other than die uselessy, he surprised his opponents by running away and calling his horse and men to join him. As the crimson soldiers were about to give him chase, they were stopped by the abrupt call of Lu Su.
Shi panted, sweat running down her forehead, her hands were at her knees while holding her circle-blades, the man had a reputation for a reason.
Her upper arm was caught roughly by the man that fought like a demon to keep her alive "You gave me a fucking heart attack! Don't ever do that again." Lu Xun's usual calm voice, yelled , his expression never being so angry.
Shi's eyes widened as his grip was tight, almost hurting her. Her impulse had gotten her again, and that wasn't good at all.
"I..am sorry." She muttered under her breath, adverting her eyes on the bloody ground. She didn't think about the whole deal at all, just marched towards the strongest opponent.
His grip slowly weakened, till he released her.
"You said that already, after you went on your own rescuing Gan Ning. Don't you understand this is no game?"
"I know it! But I am a soldier it is my duty to fight, you know?!"
"I'm talking about the way you charged towards Li Dian! Do you know how dangerous was that?!" His anger was evident, tired people began to stare them in shock, probably because Lu Xun's reputation was one of a smart calm young man.
"I-I already told you I'm sorry!"
"I don't want your apologies, I want you to stop being so reckless and lean to me since I'm roled as your damn bodyguard Shi."
"Hey you two!" Lu Meng intercepted between the two fighting teens, who turned their attention towards him.
"What happened? None of you are hurt right?"
"No, we are fine uncle Meng."
"Then why are you fighting?"
"Fine?! You could have died in front of my eyes!"
"Are you saying I'm not capable of handling myself?!" Shi tip toed getting closer to his angry face, hers wasn't any better.
"Stop arguing and explain me what happened!" He lectured them as a father would do.
"Yes, my lady, pray tell Master Lu Meng what just happened." He challanged, eyes narrowing bitter.
"I have ran towards Li Dian and fought him." She cut shortly as the older man opened his mouth in stupor.
"What?! How could you be so brainless?" She got it,they were worried and understood she had been naive, but didn't mean that they could treat her like a baby.
"Fine, fine, I am stupid! I get it, enough with the scolding, I'm sure there are other things we need to do."She walked off from the two men, a mix of emotions clouding her judgement.
"Lu Xun." His master had called, snapping him from his thoughts.
"Yes Lord Lu Meng?" Was his apathic reply.
"Never leave her side." He eyed him serious, concern written on his tired eyes.
The young man sighed while bowing slightly "Of course I will, my lord." He will be more strict, what happened today was not to re-happen. He had to put aside his friendship and focus on his task. He won't let her kill herself.
Shi curled up behind a near tent, guilty making itself notice in the back of her mind. She had never seen such furious Lu Xun in her whole life, but she deserved all of that right? Sighing deeply, she hugged her knees to her chest.
"Yo princess." Gan Ning tilted his head to look at her.
"Gan Ning...How are you?" Her eyes scanning his body.
"Cool and bloody, you too I see?" He had a slight smirk as he sat down next to her.
"Heck I am."
"Saw your match, ya know."
"Oh?" That caught her attention as she gaze at him curiously, hoping that he wouldn't lecture her.
"Yup, I won't scold ya too don't worry, usually I'm the scolded one, so I know the feel." He chuckled at her relaxed expression "Anyway, It was really cool."
"Seriously?"
He nodded " Also, you and Lu Xun fight great together, it looked like your moves were made to support each other's, that dude had a hard time, I assure ya."
"Wish he would think that too." Gan Ning inarked his eyebrow but understood probably who she was talking about.
"Eh," He sketched his neck "You would have reacted the same, if the roles were reversed." That made her think.
Shi's mind flashed the way Lu Xun had moved fast towards her, the scared look he had as they were fighting Li Dian.
"Yeah, I guess you are right.." Shi mumbled in shame. Something hit her then. The way he was so worried about her well being could have put him in danger too. The thought of him getting hurt because of her made her shiver in fear.
"Oh and by the way, last time you rescued me, how you escaped by him? I've never got to ask, I hear the kid is rather strict."
Shi scowled "Uh.." Why ask this now? Of all the time?
"Oh holy shit, you kissed him, didn't you?"
"W-well you told me to! Thought I'd give it a shot since nothing I planned worked." She blushed.
"My my what a naughty princess you are." He purred, clearly teasing her.
"Ah screw you pirate, it was stupid."
"Why? Not enjoyed the kiss?" He smugly replied , trying to get flustered the princess. Her death glare showed he clearly succeeded.
"I-It's not that! I made him worried sick, like I did again today...Plus it was wrong to kiss him since, you know, I'm not his... uhh love intreast?"
"Riiiight..." He chuckled "Never thought you'd be leading on my stupid suggestion."
"I shouldn't have."
"You still did, I wish I could have seen Lu Xun's face in all of this."
"You know, he wasn't particularly happy 'bout knowing it was your suggestion?"
"You told him it was my idea?" She nodded "Well, he should thank me then.." He mumbled in a low voice and not even Shi, that was very close to him, understood.
"What?"
"Nothin'." He replied innocently, getting up. He stretched his body that was still covered in blood.
"Stop looking with those puppy eyes, lovebirds fight too ya know?" His wolf grin showed, greeting a certain stutter reaction. For once she blinked and smirked.
"Like you and Ling Tong?" She giggled at herself from her great comeback. Saw as his face redded out of anger.
He wouldn't her win over him, not possible.
"I like girls, should I show ya?" He leaned, his face was so close then, inches from her one. Hot breath carassing her nose, little blush crepting on her cheeks.
Shi put an open hand on the blonde guy's face, that was too close to her proximity.
"Y-you wouldn't dare anyway!"
Shi got up flustered as Gan Ning laughed his ass off.
This time both sides had advanced towards each other,Wei still tried to get uncle Yu and our morale boosted for the last succesfull strike. At first, she felt staying behind, still unsure after the latest man beside her, didn't speak at her since what happened, he stood there guarding her like he should, in silence. She couldn't stand it.
"Let's join the others?" She had asked him.
He nodded "Stay close and behind me." He instructed eyeing her severly. Her only answer was a nod, she walked behind him with her weapons tightly all of the fight, she and Lu Xun fought back to back, barely leaving the other's side, his eyes always searched her figure to see if she was doing fine.
And she was, they both were and that was good enough.
A Wu messanger sent the news of Xiaohou Yuan and Zhang He joining the battle field. Those were no good news, their troops were our double, even if we had our main camp covered by Ling Tong and his men, who greatly managed with Xu Huang latest attack. Liu Bei had the role to cut Wei's supplies as his sworn brother, Guan Yu, attacked Xiangyang. That's when master Lu Su asked Zhou Yu if he could act as a decoy again, and again he accepted. He had to cross the bridge and follow the straight path to serve as a distraction, while Lu Su and his men jump off the bridge and proceed below. Only a few of them followed him, to act as a backup if they fall or not for it. Me and Xun had followed later, walking the mountains that surrounded the castle of Nanjun. In times like this I wish I had taken Fury with me, even if thinking about it, she would be in danger.
"Shi don't space out, even if we are behind, you still need to be focused."Lu Xun scolding voice interrupted her thoughts.
"You are right, sorry." Little pause " It's just that they are doing this again."
"It was successfull the first time, they are hoping it will be again too."
"Of course, that's what it matters, victory." Shi began mumbling and Lu Xun decided to not speak further. A life for many others, that was the choice they made? He wouldn't possibly know.
They kept walking, only dead bodies on their way, some in red some in blue, it didn' matter. They were still dead. As Shi stopped to view all of this, Lu Xun took her hand. And Shi knew what that meant.
"Don't think about it."
She let him guide her body "We'd need a horse next time, feels like ages we are walking."
"I agree, didn't realize we were that far."
"I can't see anything but dust and dead people around here."
"It's a sight you'll get sickengly used to." They checked the map, Lu Xun following their road with his finger "The rest of the army should be headed here, while we.." He tapped his chin "I'd say we are around this area, more or less." Shi looked at where he was pointing and was about to faint.
"What? We're still that far? It's almost evening! Plus I'm starving."
"I think we should preoccupy ourselves with building up a fire for the night and hunt for food, we keep going tomorrow."
"We split then?"
He sighed "I guess we have to, but.."
"I'll go hunt for something." Shi declared "You do the fire, since I'm not capable."
"Please be carefull." He looked straightly at her eyes while she nodded "Wait, take this with you, if you find any water make it full." He handed her an empty flask.
She nodded again and left.
He scouted enough to get wood for the fire, with his knife he made a hole on a big piece of bark rotating a stick between his palms in the hole, trying patiently to build a fire, never lowering his guard.
But most of all hoping Shi returns safe and sound.
Vegetation was something missing around here, her eyes didn't get the glimpse of an animal or a plant. Only damn desert.
Shi was very surprised to see a little lake in a place like this, that was good. She sprinted to it, wetting her ankles as she focused on the water, she drank some, filled the flask with water as Lu Xun orded her, and began hunting down fishes.
Her first attempt wasn't good, she missed, her weapons weren't really made for that, she tried twice and thrice. It was annoying her, but she wouldn't give up, she was starving and her friend was probably too. At her fifth try she caught something good, it was a medium fish but it wasn't bad, she took another little one with more tries. As soon as both were in her hands, she ran fast towards her way back.
Lu Xun was beginning to be worried, it was night now and still no traces of Shi. He kept alimenting the fire, cursing himself for making her do something so dangerous, he was not cut for the bodyguard job. What if she was attacked by Wei soldiers?
He was sitted on the ground looking at the fire intensely, his stomach growled and he suppressed the hungry feeling, his worry was way worse.
"Xun!" Her yell made him stand up immediatly, eyes relieved she was in perfect shape "Sorry I took so long, at least I was lucky." She beamed showing him two fishes.
He smiled at her too "Thank goodness," He sighed "Everything good?"
"Yeah, no enemies on my road, you?" As he shook his head no, things were much better.
"I'll cook these up, get some rest." He said, ripping the poor fishes with the knife he had on his leg, removing the most evident thorns and putting them to the fire with a big stick of wood he was holding far enough so they wouldn't burn.
"You don't have to tell me twice." She laid herself on the cold sand, tired as hell. Her eyes open to look at the stars, they shined so bright in the desert, wind blowing lightly ,it was rather cold at night. Her ankles were still wet she remembered, at least the fire Lu Xun had build was warming her up.
Shi wished they had at least a blanket or something to cover themselves during the night, but sadly they didn't have that luxury.
"I don't know, I think they are cooked." He said glancing at her for an advice.
Shi got up getting closer and scanning them up.
"I dunno, I don't care much, I'm so hungry I could eat them uncooked too." She said as the smell of food was driving her insane.
"Your great manners, princess, never ceaze to amaze me." He chuckled, retreating the fishes with great care.
Shi rolled her eyes at his joke "Oh I also filled the flask you gave me."
"That's great, good job." Her adventurous spirit was really helpfull "Now take my knife and eat up." He instructed.
"Thank you, boss." She ravaged the food in a very unlike princess way, as she looked up from her banquet she blushed in shame as Lu Xun was staring at her entertained "Y-your turn." She had enough, leaving half of the bigger fish and the smaller for him. He nodded, feeding himself to the point of being full. Joined next to her sitting on the ground, drinking dear water and stargazing.
Shi couldn't hold back her yawn.
"My lady you need to sleep, tomorrow we have much road to walk."
Shi smacked his arm "Stop calling 'my lady' already! Also, what about you? Aren't you tired Xun? It's been one hell of a day."
"One of us has to be awake to check we don't get attacked, being your bodyguard it is my role to, also watch your language, my lady."
She ignored his last comment "You need rest too, to guard me tomorrow." Shi scolded "As soon as I get up, we switch sides. Just wake me up, will you?"
"Okay, then. Will do."
"Thank you." She whispered, leaning her head on his shoulder, her body attached to his for warmth. It didn't need much to make her fall asleep as tired as she was, her long hair tickling gently his neck. He sighed, adding another piece of wood for the fire, without waking her. The young strategist selfishly didn't mind the circumstances, maybe their surroundings weren't the best, but she was close to him safe and sound and he was really glad.
He didn't wake her up, he couldn't bring himself to since she was sleeping so peacefully, her soft sleep whimpers making him smile. It was dawn when she opened her eyes lazily.
"You didn't..."
"It's allright, I'm fine." He reassured with a weak smile.
She didn't believe him, the dark circles under his eyes made it difficoult to. She pushed his sitted form, pulling him awkwardly in her lap. Her hand soon began carassing his dark locks, making it impossible to get away.
"Shi, I can't-"
"Please, just rest, there are still a few hours before morning, you are out of energies, I wouldn't bear if something were to happen to you because you were tired."
He turned himself, looking silently at her one last time before closing slowly his eyes. Her hand moving on her own to his face, stroking it gently hoping it would make him fall asleep he did, dreaming of an alternate universe where he and Shi could live happily without war as their focus.
In the morning, they resumed their journey, the next garrison they met was shielded by red armored soldiers, who told them the army led by Zhou Yu had left going straightly to face the Wei reinforcements. The two quicked their pace, running their way towards the rest of the army.
Both were very pleased to see the decoy worked yet again, as the blue forces were tricked and surrounded by both sides. They joined the fight with no doubt, things seemed to going the perfect way, their army was sure weakened by the great losses but the battle was dancing a red tune.
Even two strong generals like Zhange He and Xiaou Yuan were unable to drive off the red army, startled by the surprise attack their forces were in panick, their withdrawal boosted Wu's morale to the top even if they were still in advantage as Cao Cao kept sending reinforcements, Yue Jin with his troops after defeating Guan Yu in Xiangyang as example, we felt like we really could do it.
That's how our days passed, battling an infinite horde of wei soldiers. Nanjun castle's doors were still tightly shut and it didn't seem they would open anytime soon. Soldiers by the three sides were tired, we were tired of fighting what seemed an infinite struggle.
When Cao Ren, that was leading Wei's army, gave the order to open the doors, it wasn't hard to understand why everyone was suspicious about it, sensing some kind of trap. As much as our strategists tried to understand what was in their mind, sending scouts around the area too, it didn't matter, in a few days we were advancing towards the castle, towards the unknown. Lu Xun was very contrary to my choice in joining, too dangerous he said, but it was the last strike and I couldn't slack off just because it was too dangerous for a little princess like me. Luckily he understood my reasons without too many arguments, for once .
The amount of warriors in blue waiting for us was alarming, it was really hard to keep an eye on all the directions.I'm sure I wouldn't have pulled trough if it wasn't for my bodyguard always covering my back. Many didn't have my luck. I don't know how much this fight had lasted but it could have been days or just hours. The message of Cao Cao to Cao Ren was something unaxpected, a turning point, requesting him to leave Nanjun for the sake of their troops. The image of Cao Cao we get taught during our studies isn't a positive one, he is considered a man willing to do everything for his ambition, but still he orded their troops to retreat for their sake. Also, from that fight, I saw that lord Cao Ren was indeed a great warrior, his credit was very well deserved. As they escaped, he had saved as many men he could, trying to leave no one behind, using his shield for the weaker. As much as it pains me to admit, good could be seen in all of the three sides of this war.
When the blue army left the battlefield announcing defeat, we were all celebreting our success, our efforts finally rewarded. But, it didn't last long.
A messanger on horse ran madly towards the three enthusiastic Wu strategists.
"My lord! Xiangyang has been taken by Guan Yu's forces!" At the news we were all shocked, I exchanged a worried look with Lu Xun. What did that mean? What about our alliance?
Something far worse happened then.
An arrow, out of the blue, pierced uncle Zhou Yu's back. He yelped in pain, his falling body supported by Lu Meng's fast reflexes. Gan Ning cursing angrily as he chased the man who shooted Zhou Yu. Everything happened so fast and in all of this my mind went numb.
It has to be a nightmare. It couldn't be, we were just celebrating our victory, then the betrayal from Shu and this. It was too cruel to be real. But reality is way cruel.
Snapping out of my thoughts, I hurried at his side, tears strolling down my cheeks as I was seeing his pained expression and slow breaths.
"I lost sight of the bigger picture...I should have known...Lu Su, I entrust...my dream of uniting the land in two to you.." His forced whispers made her heart ache painfully. This wasn't happening, right? He was too young, too smart, too much to die like this.
"I will, my lord." Lu Su solemnly said, hoping to grand his master's last wish.
His eyes shifted to me and a weak smile appeared on his handsome yet too pale features "I'm... going to see lord Sun Ce again.. I will tell him what a strong girl you became Shi.."His hand reached up her cheek as she kept crying.
Shi shook her head "No! You can't leave us like this, uncle! It is so unfair! Please.." The girl sobbed without rest.
"Tell...Xiao I am..sorry.." And those were his last words. His lips never opened again. His voice never reached her ears again. His wife won't ever see him again.
"My lord!" The two strategists cried in unison.
Shi couldn't stop herself, her sobs getting louder whilst her vision became clouded by a flood of tears. Soon, she felt a pair of strong arms embracing her. She knew too well those warm arms, she cried in his chest, like she didn't since her father was assassinated, years ago. Even when they brought away his body, as he needed to be buried respectfully, Shi stayed on the ground venting her grief with her body interwined to the young strategist.
"Shi.." He called her, his voice soft, hands stroking her chestnut locks trying to comfort her.
Looking up was her only answer.
"I know this must be hard for you, I know it hurts so much, but master Zhou Yu is right, you are strong."
"I am not strong! I-I should have seen that archer! Someone had to see him! We have been so foolish, if only-"
"Please, don't torture yourself like this."
"I-I can't help it, they ran away first and then- then they attacked us while we were distracted." She hissed angrily, sadness muting in anger.
Lu Xun didn't know how to calm her, he just stood there giving her a shoulder to cry on.
"I swear I killed the bastard for good!" Gan Ning shouted, earning everyone's looks. He was trasporting a dead body with his chain. Seeing the archer dressed in blue dead didn't make her happy, her stomach twisted at the crude image. That man probably had family too, like Zhou Yu did, like all the victims of this battle. Shi felt too weak at the thought, her head pounding hard, her surroundings getting cozy.
"Shi!" A worried voice echoed as everything became dark.
She blacked out.
"Uncle Yu!" A twelve year old Shi yelled, requesting the beutiful man's attention. His eyes shifting from the papers he was holding to her petite form.
"Yes, Shi?"
"I have been told by auntie Xiao, that you are always in the strategism room in these days." The young Sun began, earning a deep sigh by the long haired man.
"Yes, that is very true, Chibi is a fundamental step to our cause, that is why it needs a perfect strategy to assure our success." He said as his eyes returned to the desk.
Shi walked to him, a hand on his arm "I understand the pressure that you are put through, but you need to distract yourself a bit, you know? We are worried about you."
"I appreaciate your concern." He said pursing his lips "A distraction, you say? What kind of distraction?" His eyes questioning her, he was spending too much nights awake on this, he knew that, but it was all for their kindom's sake.
"Well, I heard that you are lacking physical training my dear uncle." Her smile turned mischevious.
"That...is also very true." He blinked, realizing himself he didn't do much training in the last months, too focused on political and tactical matters.
"So, your brilliant nephew, was thinking that maybe, just maybe, you could train with me? I know I am not much of an oppenent for a man like you, but since you are a bit rusty...I don't know." Shi faltered at the silent stare she was receiving.
He broke it with a chuckle "Who are you calling rusty, little lady? And I am very pleased to spar with you." He patted her head affectionally.
Shi's eyes lit up in excitment "Wha- Really you accept?" She was surprised herself, her suggestion was foolish but she only wanted him out of the strategism room, her aunt kept complaining all day non stop about her husband too busy to give her attention.
"Why, yes of course. Unless you are withdrawing your suggestion?"
"No way!" She exlaimed happily "To the training field then!" Her smaller hand caught his bigger one, dragging him along.
"Please don't restrain yourself, just because you are fighting me." Yes, she knew. Everytime she trained with someone, the said person would hold back just because she was a princess. Yes, sometimes even Lu Xun had this bad habit, that's why she always had to kick his ass to prove him wrong.
"Don't worry, I won't." He reassured with a small smile.
Shi nodded, getting in her fight stance. Her uncle was the one who began the match, his red stick moving fast towards her, she was able to avoid most of the hits, finding it hard to strike back as his slashes were quick and she had to defend his staff was in an horizontal position, she took the chance and jumped on it, walked on it and jumped again, herself now behind him as she gave him a hit with her elbow and a kick on his back. His staff reacting to her aggression almost on his own as its end smashed her nose.
He gasped, realizing how much hurt he inflicted the poor girl as her nose was spilling blood. Her head lowered as she was covering it with her hand.
"Shi! I am so sorry I should not have-"
"No, it is fine." She said as she ripped a little piece of clothing bringing it to her nostrils, stopping the blood from pouring on her face "Give me everything you got." She smirked in such a Sun Ce way, Zhou Yu couldn't help but feel nostalgic, the times he sparred with his friend, now long gone. Shi, used his distraction to run towards him, making him returning back to reality, as she was striking fiercely without pause. The training went along for quite the bit, both exhausted as they stopped, they sat on the ground panting for the match.
"Uhh, maybe you should... you know, buy flowers or food for auntie?"
He blinked "Her birthday was a couple of months ago." What could have he forgotten? He wasn't a forgetfull person, especially about his wife.
Shi giggled "It's not that! She misses you."
He thought about it, he missed her too of course "You are right Shi." Her uncle mumbled his thoughts out loud.
"Huh?" Her attention snapping to him.
He stood up, giving her a warm smile "Excuse me , I think I owe my wife an apology for my latest behaviour, I will see you later." He smiled waving at her goodbye as he went looking for the younger Qiao sister.
Shi couldn't help to smile too at her uncle's words. Groaning in pain as soon as he left because her nose was on fire, the man hit hard damnit.
Ever had the feeling when you wanted things to go in a way but they don't? It's actually turning so differently from what I thought I would do, at the beginning. So, dates are wrong, deaths too, don't ask me why, it turned out like this dramatic cliché. I'm thinking about editing some older chapters because God, the silly mistakes I made (making) and change the title too, this won't be rainbows and sunshines, because isn't drama and angst great? No? Oh well. Please let me know what you think about it.
