Chapter 10: Pregnant

Friendship is something I never experienced before… well not real friendship anyways. Remus and I were growing closer together… but it seemed that the devil decided to torment me again.

FLASHBACK:

I was sitting in the dining hall when I noticed a group of fourth years giggling and looking at me. I narrowed my eyes. I wasn't usually the laughing sock. My thoughts were interrupted my a tap on my right shoulder. DRACO MALFOY…

"What do you want?" I hissed at the third year. Draco was unfazed by my acidic tone.

"I just would like to congratulate you."

"What?!" I snapped.

Malfoy's smirk grew. "Aren't you pregnant? The father, I heard, is that shabby Professor."

After I discovered the source of the gossip, Yanika, I ended up in detention with McGonagall, for accidentally slipping a drop of silver liquid… in their goblets.

Christmas holidays brought me no comfort as I sat in the room, glaring at my reflection. It was infuriating that I could not remember anything from my childhood and that I couldn't spend the hols with my brother Remus.

"Can I talk to you?" Anelie asked from behind the ajar door. I nodded and did not try to put on a smile. Anelie sighed. She was used to my difficult character…

"Are you allright Blaze?" I cringed at the mention of that horrible name. "I know that you must be upset about the rumours and all…"

"UPSET?! I'm livid. Seven weeks of detention, fake friends, congratulation cards… my favourite professor, Snape, started being mean to me… What do you expect?"

"We all love you." She said.

"I know." I said stiffly.

"You're young… I had a crush once on a professor. I under-"

"Anelie! You think I'm stalking Lupin?"

"Well…"

"He's just a good teacher, friend."

"What do you mean?" Anelie raised her eyebrow.

"I'll explain… one day."

"I'm leaving," She got up and like a dancer, on her tiny feet, left the room.

I looked out of my window. There was a small yard; covered with snow. The rest of the Hughes were building snowmen and throwing snowballs. Their heads were covered with woolen caps and scarfs were circled around their neck.

I opened the album that Remus had given me. Why couldn't I remember?!
