Angel Beats! Operation: Typhoon of Blood Part 1

Chapter 10

Rin started back for SSS base to restock on weapons, Himeko was close behind.

"Rin! Hey Rin, wait up!" Himeko shouted.

"I don't have time to talk, Himeko. Hinata and the others are waiting for me." Rin replied over her shoulder.

"But if you rush in like this, you'll be doing exactly what that demon wants!" Himeko yelled.

"I don't care, I am not going to leave them to die." Rin said.

"Don't rush in like this! Why don't we work something out right now? I mean, not all the battlefront must be kidnapped right?" Himeko saidy

"..." Rin was silent at first." Himeko, what is the oath of our shrine?"

"That's easy. I will never forget it." Himeko said easily. "The oath is never leave an ordinary human to die in the cold."

"That's right, which means I can't redo what I swore I would never do." Rin said.

"Rin please!" Himeko pleaded.

"No! I have to save them right now, at least he is giving me enough time to restock on weapons." Rin said.

"Rin!" Himeko called.

In a half an hour, Rin packed up everything and started to head out.

She started at where she first found the blood and went down the trail from there.

The trail led to a deep part of the forest of shadowing trees, and the sounds of nature were gone. It was as quiet as the night, like the animals died.

Rin walked slowly and quietly so she could hear behind her.

The trail stopped at an abandoned building across the river.

"God!" Rin gasped.

The building was surrounded by a barrier of blood and it was intoxicating everything around it.

She crossed the river quickly and then she stopped at the building's corner.

This is blood magic. No one else can use it but her.

Rin slowly chanted a spell while her hand was on the barrier. The barrier opened slightly and she was granted access.

She walked in and smelled the poisoned air, filled with the blood lust stench.

Then, she heard the sound of a sword unsheathing. She turned around, but there was nothing there.

Through a night, a bloody scream ruined the moon's glow.
