Chapter 10

Something Wicked This Way Comes

Remus was sitting in Dumbledore's office waiting for the old man to explain what it was that he wanted Remus to do next.

It had been a trying couple of months for the werewolf, with trying to find any werewolves in Britain that were willing to help them.

As it was, Remus was disappointed to find out that his old Sire had a very firm grip on them all.

Scouring the countryside for months, living like a common werewolf in the wild, to say he was tired was an understatement.

"So your absolutely sure about this Remus?" Asked Dumbledore somewhat solemnly. Affectively breaking Remus out of his quiet stupor.

"Yes, I'm positive!" Remus sighed, "I've been all through England's countryside and not one pack was willing to hear what I had to offer. Greyback seems to have them all wrapped around his little finger. They, of course, knew who I was and so I spent half the time on the run." Remus said tiredly. Shaking his head. "The loyalty of his pack is inconveniently strong." He muttered more to himself.

Dumbledore watched the battered werewolf with something akin to pity and could've been sure he detected some bitterness from the man, he wondered briefly if it was due to jealousy or longing, or maybe both.

"Don't give up too soon my boy, there may still be hope yet." Dumbledore smiled with his usual twinkle.

"What do you mean Albus?" Asked Remus warily.

"What I mean is, we haven't tried everything that is available to us just yet." Smiled Dumbledore mysteriously.

Remus hated when the old man spoke in riddles. He knew Dumbledore had his secrets, as did they all, but he couldn't fathom where Dumbledore could be going with this. As far as Remus knew, he had tried everywhere.

"Please don't keep me in suspense Dumbledore." Remus sighed tiredly, he just wanted to go and rest in a nice warm bed for a long while.

"Very well my dear boy," Dumbledore smiled gently, "I'll get straight to it then, after you've had your much needed rest, I wish for you to go abroad and continue your search there." He finished.

"You want me to follow Hagrid to France?" Asked Remus sceptically with a frown, "I don't think they have werewolves there any more Albus, unless perhaps you mean some other part of Europe?" He finished thoughtfully, looking into space. The possibilities gave him a small measure of hope.

He just might have some luck if he tried there, which admittedly wasn't something he considered before.

"I was thinking more along the way of America, I remember once hearing whispers of quite a number of Tribes over there..."

"...Tribes!?" Remus interrupted, somewhat taken aback.

"Yes Tribes. A long story short they call themselves that as they are Native American Tribes that can transform into wolves." Dumbledore said patiently with a smile.

"Do you mean like Animagus'?" Asked Remus slowly. Trying to make sense of the new information.

"Yes and No." Answered Dumbledore cryptically.

"I don't think I'm following." Remus frowned.

"Well, the information that I do know is that they are not wizards so therefore it's not an Animagus form, but they can manage to transform into wolves and have done so for many many years, their natural enemy is Vampires, and a wolf is the only form they can transform into, as oppose to a Wizard who can transform into any creature or creatures that they can relate to." Dumbledore explained. "But in theory similar to an Animagus." He concluded with a chuckle.

Remus was fascinated by it all and wondered why he had never heard of it before. It would be wonderful to him if it turned to be more than rumours, he may just find himself something more to fight for.

"It is very secret and sacred to each Tribe so very rarely reaches the ears of outsiders." Dumbledore said as if in answer to Remus' unasked questions.

"It's fascinating!" Marvelled Remus with wonderment.

"Yes it is!" Chuckled Dumbledore, "But on a serious note, I want you to find these Tribes and see if you can convince them to help us, but I must warn you to proceed with caution, they are a very protective people and will question how you know so much about them." Dumbledore warned seriously, piercing Remus with his blue gaze, "I will give you more details before your departure at the end of the week. As for now, go and rest my boy and get some sleep." Dumbledore finished abruptly, inclining his head politely. A clear dismissal, if Remus ever seen one.

Remus was surprised but also grateful as he was feeling more and more exhausted the longer he sat in the comfortable armchair across from the old man. Much different from what the children would sit on when in their headmaster's office.

He had come straight to Dumbledore to report his findings after his long trip away, and really couldn't take much more.

With a tired smile and a sleepy goodnight, Remus slowly got out of the chair and made his way to the fireplace before leaving the office in a haze of green flames.

It had been nearly two weeks since Harry had tied himself to Dobby, and with the little house elf around, things had begun to get quite noisy, he figure Dobby had decided he needed to prove himself to Harry, Fenrir and especially to his father.

He was always busy making things for Harry's breakfast, lunch and dinner, something Dipsy was starting to get very annoyed about if his grumbling at Dobby was anything to go by. He was also popping in front of Harry whenever he mentioned Dobby's name to Fenrir. Dipsy following not long after.

And because of that he was having to placate his werewolf more often than not as Fenrir started to scare the little creatures whenever they popped into the room.

Fenrir found it entertaining to growl softly at them with a glare until Harry thought they would die of fright. Harry normally would have found it funny to some extent only it was him who had to calm the little things down.

It seemed cute to Harry at first but now it was beginning to tire him out, what with having to calm Dobby down all the time and assure him everything was fine, along with telling Dipsy not to worry.

He was therefore grateful now that Dobby had started to relax in his new home, and his trust in Harry, and Dipsy was more at ease with the arrangements too.

Fenrir was also starting to listen to Harry due to his threats of no sex if he didn't quit it.

All in all he was glad he didn't have to worry about it so much any more.

As for the Cullen's, well he still worried about that, but as they hadn't done anything other than stare at him constantly while they thought Harry didn't notice, which he was used to that anyway as it had been that way since he had first arrived at the high school, he was content to leave it that way... for now.

He was still extremely unhappy with the fact that they new things about him that had nothing to do with them, but as his father had pointed out, it was mostly common knowledge in the wizarding world. But they weren't in the wizarding world and therefore as far as Harry was concerned had no right to know what they did.

It was another rainy day in Forks, Harry had thought back home had lots of rain but at the moment it was nothing compared to Forks.

Harry loved the rain and laying in bed or on the lounge with Fenrir listening to the rain pounding on the manor, there was something quite relaxing about it.

At least, that's what Harry felt.

Harry suspected Fenrir felt the same, at least he seemed pretty comfy with his arms around him as they were laying on the lounge together just listening to it.

Harry could definitely get used to this.

It was early in the morning and Harry was just relaxing with Fenrir before heading off to school, being the early riser that he was, and having a late start at school, he figured it was the best opportunity to spend some quiet time with his werewolf.

"Harry, you awake?" Fenrir asked suddenly with a soft growl.

"Yeah!" Mumbled Harry.

"Are you going to school today?" Enquired Fenrir, "not that I mind if you don't." he added cheekily.

Harry could hear the grin in Fenrir's voice and was very tempted to stay home. "I don't know, maybe I won't go today." He answered with a small shrug.

"Yes Harry, your going." Voldemort interrupted suddenly.

"Why is it so important to go everyday?" Harry sulked.

"We've had this discussion many times already Harry, I'm not going through it again with you!" Voldermort hissed sternly.

"Sounds good to me." Fenrir said.

"Sorry Fenrir," Harry pouted, "I have to go... Dad's orders and all." He finished with a roll of his eyes.

"I don't get why one day would hurt," Harry said to his father but out loud for Fenrir' benefit, "it's the full moon tonight and I wanted to practice my animgus forms today, I can't very well do that at a muggle school!" He grumbled.

Voldemort couldn't suppress his sigh, "I do not want the muggle school snooping around, if you start having time off here and there, it will only draw their attention, we need to avoid that. Besides, you don't need more practice, your a master at your forms." He finished.

Harry savoured the praise he got from his father, knowing that his father could feel his pride in that comment, but still didn't see how one day would hurt, "Don't you think me being who and what I am draws more attention anyway, and most muggle teenagers have some time off from what I've seen, so it might draw more attention that I'm the only one going every single day." He finished hopefully, trying to make his father see sense. At least it made sense to Harry and in Harry's opinion that's all that mattered.

Well to some extent, he needed his father to see his logic too, anything to get him to agree.

"Your going Harry, we need all eyes and ears on this little town, Dumbledore has been quiet lately and I need you to keep an eye on those vampires just in case he decides to pay them a visit, and I thought I said I didn't want to have this discussion with you again!" Voldemort said.

"Fine.. fine I'll go.. I'll go, you happy now?" Harry asked rhetorically with a roll of his eyes, removing himself from his comfortable position in Fenrir's arms.

Fenrir was reluctant to let go of him, but figured he'd better. "Well what did he say?" He growled somewhat impatiently as he released his hold on the young wizard, watching his every moevement as Harry stood up from his position on the lounge.

Feeling very stiff Harry stretched, and noticed Fenrir's eyes roamed over his body, just that alone made Harry feel proud of his strong lover. 'Someone as sexy as Fenrir, is only mine' Harry grinned to himself. "He says I have to go because we need to watch the little vampires in case Dumbledore wants to say hello to them, as he's been very quiet lately." He answered somewhat distracted, "but on a happier note it's the full moon tonight and I for one can't wait." He grinned with a wink at his werewolf.

Fenrir just shook his head at his young wizard. He was looking forward to it too, but Harry's mood swings just humoured him. It had seems like a long time ago since the last full moon and Fenrir was itching for it.

"Well the sooner we go the sooner we'll be back." Fenrir stated as he got up from the lounge.

"If I didn't know any better, I'd say you were eager to get rid me Fenrir." Harry said putting his hands on his hips, "it's lucky I know better, right?" He asked with a somewhat confident smile.

Fenrir leant forward and placed a small kiss to Harry's lips, at the same time putting his arms around his body, "Of course I don't want to get rid of you, but if we have to do this, then the sooner we get it over with, the better." He snarled softly.

"Good!" Harry said happily, returning the hug.

"Your going to be late if you don't hurry up." Voldemort hissed impatiently.

"Fine, we're going." Harry huffed. "Don't get your wand in a twist." Releasing Fenrir he summoned his rucksack to his hand before making his way to the front door. The rain had abated a bit now and it was only sprinkling.

As soon as Fenrir had grabbed his hand, he apparated them to their usual clearing in the forest across from the school.

The noise of all the teenagers arriving in their cars and talking to each other making a lot of noise, reached their ears as soon as their feet touched the ground, something Fenrir was quick to comment on. "Noisy bloody mutts." He grumbled.

With a small chuckle and releasing Fenrir's hand, Harry leant over and gave him a quick kiss, "I'll meet you here after school, yeah?" He stated more than asked.

"Of course." Fenrir answered easily.

"Good, now stay out of trouble!" Harry grinned cheekily.

"Shouldn't I be saying that to you?" Fenrir deadpanned with a raise of an eyebrow.

"No, I'm always good." Harry smiled innocently.

"Well your good at the things you do," Fenrir grinned the wolfish grin that Harry loved so much, "but I wouldn't go so far as to say you have good behaviour." He chuckled.

"Well that's lovely that is." Harry said with a mock pout.

"Shouldn't you be going now Harry!" Interrupted Voldemort.

"Yes, yes I'm going." Harry huffed with one more quick hug to his werewolf. 'This is so unfair, but seeing as I have no choice maybe it's time to have a bit of fun with these fools.' Harry thought to himself knowing his father would know what he was thinking.

"At the very least, be discreet about it." Hissed Voldemort, he didn't really care if his son wanted to play, so long as he was smart about it.

Harry watched as Fenrir slipped between the trees of the wet forest, before turning and making his way across to the school, he knew Fenrir would just go far enough to hide in the shadows but where he could still hear and see everything.

As soon as Harry made it to the road he could see Edward standing at his silver car with his girlfriend and a boy Harry had never seen before.

He looked to be about Edwards girlfriend's age but it was kind of hard to tell from this distance.

He wanted to know who this boy was and what kind of threat he may be seeing as though he was talking to a vampire's girlfriend and didn't look too happy about it.

Harry briefly wondered if the boy knew what he was talking to.

Deciding he didn't want to stand here to get the answer of these questions, he slowly made his way across the road and towards the school, keeping one eye on the group and another on where he was going.

He wasn't worried about them noticing him and he didn't need to get close enough to hear them as he still had his eavesdropping charm on Edward, but he did want to get a bit closer so he could see this new boy better.

Once he made it to the office building he opened his rucksack and pulled out a book with the pretence of reading through it.

He knew his father would be watching and listening as he always did, as well as Fenrir.

'At least I wont have to repeat it all.'

"So you haven't told her then?" The boy asked.

Looking up from his book slightly he notice the boy staring at Edward with a sneer.

"Tell me what?..." Inquired Bella, puzzled.

"...No." Edward answered quietly at the same time.

"Figures!" The boy snorted.

"Jacob, what are you talking about?" Bella whispered in concern.

"It's nothing Bella, don't worry about it." Edward soothed softly.

Harry watched as Edward placed his arms around his girlfriend. "Edward please don't try to stop me from finding out, it only makes things worse," Bella said with a glare at her boyfriend, which in Harry's opinion didn't look very intimidating, "as for you Jacob answer me!" She demanded quietly, removing Edwards arms.

"We've been tracking a red headed vampire on our borders, we know she's looking for something we just don't know what yet." Jacob answered quietly with a quick smile to Edward.

Edward, for his part was staring stonily at the other boy.

"We also warn your kind to remember the treaty." He said looking directly at Edward with a mocking smile. "And stay off our land!" He smirked.

Harry figured something must have happened between the two groups that he didn't know about.

'Well that answers that question, this boy knows exactly what Edward is, and doesn't seem to like it too much.' "I wonder what this treaty is that he's talking about?" He asked his father.

"I'll explain what I know later." Voldemort hissed.

Shrugging Harry put his attention back on the small group, trusting his father to fill him in when he can.

"I think I know what she's looking for." Bella whispered quickly.

"Bella we don't know that for sure." Edward replied before the other boy could say any more.

"Yes we do Edward, and ignoring it or lying to me isn't going to help." Bella said with another glare at her boyfriend.

The other boy was looking from one to the other obviously waiting for an explanation.

Edward turned to look at his girlfriend briefly before returning his own glare to the other boy. That to Harry was more intimidating than his girlfriend could pull off.

'It seems to me these boys don't like each other very much.' Harry thought to himself.

"Well is someone going to tell me what's going on?" The Jacob boy dead-panned.

"The red-headed vampire is named Victoria, and she's come here to get me." Bella explained somewhat shakily.

Harry noticed Edwards glare turn into a stony expression.

"Why would she be after you?" The boy asked in what appeared to be slight shock.

"Long story short, her mate wanted Bella, so we killed him." Edward said stonily.

'That's very interesting.' Harry thought, 'in more ways than one.'

"It's true!" Bella agreed with a nod.

"Then we'll just have to make sure she doesn't get what she came here for." The boy soothed as he took Bella in his arms.

Edward's body stiffened and his glare at the boy intensified. It made Harry slightly curious as to what he could hear in this Jacob boys head.

As Jacob hugged Bella he looked over at Edward with a small grin and Harry got a better look at his face, he was a tanned looking boy with short dark brown hair. In another lifetime Harry may have thought him somewhat good looking, but as far as he was concerned no one had it over his sexy werewolf.

'Not even these so called beautiful vampires.'

Jacob had just noticed Harry behind the group and pulled away from Bella with a frown. "Who's that?" He asked nudging his head in Harry's direction.

Edward and Bella turned around to see who he was talking about.

Harry for his part had his head down slightly making out he was reading the book he was holding, but all the while watching the interaction through his dark bangs.

"Oh, that's the new boy," Bella whispered quietly, turning away from him quickly, "his name is Corbin Slytherin and he's been here for a few weeks now, but Jacob there's something you should know about him..."

"...Bella, maybe now isn't the time to be talking about it!" Edward interrupted quietly still looking at Harry dubiously.

Bella looked at her boyfriend with a frown, "Edward, Jacob and his family have a right to know, we can't keep this a secret from them, it could be dangerous." She whispered.

Finally turning away from Harry, Edward looked at her and shook his head minutely in warning, "you might be right Bella but this isn't the best time." He tried to explain without saying too much.

"Will you let me go to Jacob's after school then?" Bella questioned sceptically, folding her arms.

"No." Edward answered flatly.

"Then we've got no other time to tell him." She reasoned.

"Why, what's all the fuss about?" Jacob asked, puzzled.

Bella gave Edward a look that clearly said... well?

"Fine." Edward sighed after a long few seconds.

It seemed weird to Harry to hear a vampire sigh. And to say he wasn't happy about this turn of events was an understatement, he wished he had a way of shutting her up without causing too much mayhem, but at the moment he was at a loss of how he could do it undetected.

This was one of the last things they needed right now, another enemy in this town knowing who he was and having to watch his back from another side. This was going too far. But before Harry could think any more on it Bella began to talk.

"Jacob, I'm not sure how to tell you this without sounding completely crazy," Bella started slowly, "but Corbin is a wizard." She finished quietly with a quick glance over her shoulder at Harry.

Jacob stared at Bella for a few seconds before bursting out with laughter. "Your right, you do sound crazy Bells, next you'll be telling me the elves have come to town along with him." He chuckled, clearly thinking he was very amusing.

Bella gave Edward a pleading look, but Edward just stood there as still as a statue.

When no one else seemed to find it as funny as Jacob evidently did, he stopped laughing and looked from one to the other sceptically. "You can't honestly believe that surely!" He scoffed.

"I'm serious Jacob, this isn't a joke." Assured Bella seriously.

'I think it's time I put a stop to this little meeting.' Thought Harry angrily."Don't do anything!" Voldemort hissed quickly, as Harry was about to raise his wand.

"What?" Harry asked angrily, "why the bloody hell not?"

"Because Harry, not here." Replied Voldemort.

"No one will notice a quick obliviate." Harry argued.

"Yes, Edward would, it's not a very subtle spell as you very well know, not to mention that it wouldn't work on Edward, so how do you think you'd get out of that if he attacks you for it, we can not, and will not, do it now or here." Voldermort hissed angrily. "Your not thinking clearly right now Harry." He finished sternly.

"But you know I'm right, we can't have them knowing." Harry said stubbornly.

"You are right, but there's a time and place for everything and this is not it." Voldermort added logically. "We will have to let it be for now and deal with it at a later time."

Growling low in his throat and sounding more like Fenrir at that moment, Harry glared coldly at the small group. "Fine, but something needs to be done!" He growled in his head.

"OK, say it is true and I believe you, what is he doing here?" Jacob frowned.

"We don't know," Edward said softly, "but right now were not doing anything about it." He added.

"Why not, I don't know anything about wizards and all that stuff, but I'm guessing he could be a major problem!" Jacob said with a raise of his eyebrows.

"We know, but because it could be more dangerous to know, we have chosen to do nothing." Edward replied grudgingly.

'Wise choice Edward.' Thought Harry aggressively.

"What are you, some kind of coward?" Jacob said stupidly.

Edwards stony face turned cold in a second, but before he could reply Bella placed her arm on Edwards to calm him down. "Edward!" She warned softly with a small shake of her head.

Taking an unnecessary breath, Edward relaxed his expression to one of false calm, at least that's the way it looked to Harry. "No, but for Bella's safety we think it the best choice, we don't need more enemies trying to take her down." Edward replied only revealing half of the reason.

"Look, what we do know is that this wizard is very dangerous, to vampires and your kind." Bella whispered quickly before things got too out of hand, "his real name is Harry and we believe he's taken a life before and we don't know all that he's capable of, not to mention who or how many more he's here with, the best thing for now Jacob is to stay out of his business and only worry about it if he attacks us first." She said lamely with a pleading look.

Jacob looked at them both in disbelief, "never have I heard you so worried about facing someone who might be a threat." He said in slight disgust looking at Edward, "he doesn't look like much to me, are you even sure you have your facts right about this guy, sure he may look like he's up to something, but that doesn't mean he actually is!" Jacob scoffed.

"Yes we are sure. But if you want to get mixed up in it, so be it, it's your funeral; as for us, were staying out of it." Edward said coldly.

"Edward!" Bella said in surprise looking at her boyfriend in shock.

Edward looked at her and softened his expression, "I'm sorry Bella, but it's up to him what he chooses to do, I'm only telling him how it is." He soothed gently. Obviously not happy he upset her.

Jacob watched the exchange with a frown. "Fine, I believe you." Jacob interrupted reluctantly with an uncertain shrug.

Bella turned to Jacob to see if he was serious, "look Jacob, were not exactly doing nothing, what I mean is, we'll be keeping an eye on him, your welcome to do the same, in fact I think the more eyes on him the better.. but be very careful." She quietly pleaded earnestly.

"Don't worry about me Bells," he grinned, "I have to let my pack know!" He said suddenly grim, "and keep an eye out for this Victoria woman, we haven't seen the last of her." He warned.

"We will." Bella assured with a grateful smile. "Thanks Jacob!"

Once on his motorbike, Jacob revved it to life, before speeding off in a hurry.

Once the conversation was broken Harry notice they were the only ones still in the car park, and figured the bell must have rang without him being aware of it.

He didn't care that he was now late for class as this was more important than getting into trouble with the teachers for not being on time.

It seemed Edward and his girlfriend had just realised the same as they started to quickly head for their class.

Harry was fuming, and he knew his father was very much aware of it. Harry started to stalk his way to his own class.

'Maybe if I get her on her own I can obliviate her.' He thought half to himself and half to his father.

"It wouldn't work, now that your here in town, and the Cullen's know what you are, do you honestly think any of them will leave her alone?" Voldemort asked rhetorically with a roll of his eyes. Harry wasn't sure if that was directed at him, or the situation itself.

"Not really, but it might be worth a shot to try, I mean what other choice is there?" Questioned Harry.

"Let me think on it for a bit," he hissed, "but in the meantime please keep your head about it!" Voldemort said in exasperation.

"Fine!" Harry hissed angrily.

It felt to him like he was saying that a lot lately.

Once he reached his class he quietly made his way to a seat at the back of the room, glaring at everyone as he went. He ignored the glare his government teacher gave him, as he didn't like Harry anyway.

Harry went through the day in a state of detachment, not listening to his teachers and reading through his own magical theory books.

It was now lunch and Harry sat at his usual table, effectively claiming the vampire clan's table as his own, it was snug in the back corner of the room.

He was looking forward to seeing Fenrir after school, he knew his werewolf would've heard everything this morning, and was curious to hear his thoughts about what he made of it all. As for Harry he hated that now not only did the vampire's and her pet know things about him that was none of their business, but now they took it upon themselves to tell whom ever they wanted.

It angered him to no end. Harry could tell the vampires had noticed his more than normal coldness to the rest of the school, as they kept shooting him puzzled looks.

Harry hoped they suspected he heard their conversation that morning, that at least was a small pleasure to him, because now they would be trying to guess what he might do about it.

In their minds he was an unknown, unpredictable enemy; and he rather enjoyed it.

"I was thinking, maybe we should see what we can find out about this Victoria vampire!" Harry hissed suddenly to his father.

"Hmm, it might be worth it if they become a problem." Voldemort answered calmly.

"If they become a problem?" Harry scoffed, "they are a problem." He said defensively.

"Indeed," Voldemort agreed easily, "Harry you need to keep your head down and not approach anyone until I ,or at the very least Fenrir is with you." Voldemort hissed seriously.

"Why exactly don't you want me to react to any of this?" Harry asked suspiciously, he could feel his father's emotions, and to Harry it felt a strange mix of worry, calm and something else slightly ominous that he couldn't quite understand, "don't you trust in me to do it right or something, aren't I good enough to fix this problem in your eyes?" He questioned, he was slightly unsettled with not only how childish it sounded but also how uncertain he felt.

He knew he wasn't ready to take on Dumbledore but he did think he was capable of this. After all, he had been trained by his father himself.

Harry felt a sudden shift in his father's emotions, and couldn't help but to brace himself for the reply. He hated this feeling of not being good enough, or at least thinking that he wasn't.

He also hated not being able to read his father's emotions properly. It didn't happen often but when it did, he always hated the response.

"I never said you shouldn't or couldn't react to this situation Harry," Voldemort hissed darkly with a sneer, "but your immature feelings are indication enough that your not ready to handle it!" He finished bluntly, before closing his mind to Harry completely.

Harry was stunned as he stared into space. He wasn't expecting that.

His father had never done that before, and it made Harry feel even less worthy.

The last time Harry had felt this distant from his father's emotions and thoughts was from the time before the dementor's had opened up their minds to each other. Connecting them like nothing ever heard of before.

He was so stunned he didn't even notice that the vague guilt he could sense was not his own.

'I guess that tells me all I need to know!' Harry thought in painful anger, his glare turning icy at no one in particular.

In a state of numb disbelief Harry packed his lunch away in his rucksack and slowly made his way outside for some fresh air.

He vaguely sensed the terrified looks from the teenagers in the cafeteria. But he didn't care about that right now.

At this very moment he want to get out of there more than ever before.

Once outside, Harry made a decision to find Fenrir and get the heck out of there.

He made his way over to their usual clearing and didn't have to wait long before Fenrir walked out of the shadows and over to him.

"What's going on Pup?" Fenrir growled in concern as he took Harry in his arms. Harry figured his face must have revealed more than he intended, or Fenrir just knew him very well.

Harry hoped it was the latter.

"Let's get out of here!" Harry rasped without answering the question, as he gave his werewolf a much needed hug.

It wasn't so much what his father had said, as much as it was shutting him out like that. He thought they were closer than that, he thought he meant more to the man than that.

He couldn't help but feel a little empty.

"Where are we going?" Fenrir, frowned, letting it go for the moment.

"Anywhere but here," Harry answered, relaxing his hold of Fenrir and taking a small step back, "maybe to the forest near home to find a good spot to transform tonight?" He suggested half-heartedly with a small shrug.

Fenrir looked at Harry deeply. "Alright Pup," He nodded. He knew something more than this mornings events had upset his pup, he just didn't know what, but he was determined to find out.

Taking Harry's hand he apparated them to the forest just at the edge of the manor's borders.

"Do you want to take your rucksack home first?" Fenrir asked as he let his pup's hand go.

Harry shrugged. "No, I'll just call Dobby to come pick it up!"

Harry didn't get a chance to call him as the little house elf came as soon as his name had passed Harry's lips.

"What can Dobby be doings for master, sir?" Dobby asked, wide eyed as he popped directly in front of Harry.

"Dobby, can you please take my rucksack home, and put it in my room?" Harry asked kindly.

"Of course master Harry sir." Dobby replied happily.

"Thank you, Dobby." Smiled Harry.

"It is being nothing, sir." Dobby replied proudly, before clicking his fingers and disappearing.

Fenrir watched Harry during the exchange and noticed how his smile didn't quite reach his pups eyes.

"So you going to tell me what's wrong?" Fenrir growled, folding his arms on his chest.

Harry was somewhat annoyed at how perceptive Fenrir was being."Nothing's wrong!" He said indifferently with a wave of his hand. "Let's go..."

"...Don't lie to me pup?" Fenrir interrupted harshly, as he started to advance on Harry slowly.

"Who said I'm lying." Harry said defensively, putting his hands on his hips.

"I'm not stupid, I know when your trying to keep something from me!" Fenrir snarled, his silver eyes narrowed into slits.

Harry knew from that tone and look that he would have to eventually tell Fenrir what had transpired between him and his father, not only was the man as stubborn as Harry himself but he hated when Harry tried to keep his emotions from him, as Harry had found out when he wouldn't talk to him openly about everything that had happened with Sirius. Not just the basic stuff.

Sure Fenrir knew what had happened but he wanted Harry to tell him honestly about it all and hold nothing back. That wouldn't have been a problem if Harry felt comfortable talking about it, but in truth he had hated it. It wasn't that he didn't trust Fenrir, it was that it made him feel weak.

'It's as though Fenrir thinks he's some werewolf therapist or something.' Harry thought stubbornly with a glare. Straight away feeling guilty for thinking like that about his werewolf.

Harry just didn't want to talk about it as he couldn't make sense of it himself. And if he was honest with himself, he was also worried Fenrir would think differently of him or something.

In truth, Harry was confused.

"I never said you were stupid," Harry gritted, as he watched his werewolf advance on him, reminiscent to a wolf hunting his prey, which probably wasn't far from the truth.

"You also never answered me!" Fenrir growled, grabbing Harry's waist gently but firmly as if worried he'd run or apparate away.

"It's not important anyway." Harry sighed, going somewhat limp in his lovers arms. It was no use not telling him, but he didn't know how to start.

"Yes it is, if it's upset you this much." Glared Fenrir. Not at all happy that his pup was being so stubborn.

Harry frowned up at Fenrir. "Why is it so important to you." he asked, shaking his head, puzzled.

"Why are you being so stubborn about it." Fenrir countered, displeased. "Don't you trust me?" He sneered.

"Don't answer a question with a question." Harry glared up at his taller lover, not happy about how this was turning out. He had never really argued with his father before and nor with Fenrir. What a day this was turning out to be, "and of course I trust you, and you know it!" Gritted Harry unhappily.

"I think that makes us even now seeing as though you think you can avoid answering my questions." Fenrir argued stubbornly.

"This is getting us nowhere." Harry growled in annoyance. "It's not important to anyone but me, but if you really want to know, father isn't happy with me right now." He grumbled reluctantly with a sigh.

Fenrir looked down at his pup in his arms, he was satisfied to finally be getting some answers, and knew that he and the Dark Lord had there little tiffs, but for some reason this seemed like more to his pup. "What happened?" He asked gruffly.

"What I mean is, after what happened this morning, I asked father about trying to contact or at least find some information about this Victoria vampire, but he doesn't want me to get involved with any of it, until he, or you, or both are with me." Harry gritted in annoyance.

Fenrir couldn't work out what was wrong with that, "What's the problem with that?" He asked puzzled, as he looked down at Harry with a frown.

Harry looked up at Fenrir in disbelief, "What's wrong with that is, I can handle this and I asked him why he doesn't trust me with it, and if I wasn't good enough in his eyes to do it." Harry said angrily.

"After that he told me that my immature feelings are indication enough that I'm not ready to handle it on my own, before closing his mind to me completely. Or as complete that is possible with us." He finished with a glare.

He was trying to keep focussed on his anger otherwise he knew the pain of the whole thing would return.

"Ah!" Fenrir said thoughtfully.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Harry sneered in frustration.

"I think all it means is that he's worried about you." Concluded Fenrir gently looking down at his pup.

"What?" Harry asked in surprise, as he looked up at Fenrir with a raised eyebrow.

"He's worried about you," He answered simply, "he doesn't want you getting involved just yet without backup in fears of something happening to you." Clarified Fenrir with a shake of his head.

"How do you come to that conclusion, and why wouldn't he just tell me that?" Harry asked sceptically

"Because it's the Dark Lord." Fenrir reasoned.

"That doesn't usually matter to him, between us I mean." Harry said quietly.

"Think about it, he normally could tell you, because even though he truly worried about you before, he didn't go too deep into it if you know what I mean," Fenrir tried to explain, "and it was more said light-heartedly, now that he isn't here or your not there where he can protect you, he worries about you a great deal but isn't used to admitting that to anyone not even to himself, in other words he just can't bring himself to say it to you." Fenrir answered gently.

"That's just stupid, he can tell me, as I can feel his emotions and you can't get more personal than that, and I haven't felt any of the worry your talking about, he's actually been quite calm about it all." Harry rambled doubtfully. He couldn't figure out how Fenrir came to that conclusion.

"Perhaps it is stupid, but that's just what the Dark Lord is used to, because he's angry at himself for not being able to tell you how worried he is or how much he cares for you, he's taking it out on you. He's also a master occlumens don't you think he'd be able to block it from you if he really felt he needed to?" Fenrir stated more than asked.

Harry wondered if Fenrir was speaking from experience or something as he seemed to know a lot about it by the sounds of it, or if perhaps his father had mentioned something to the silver haired man. Knowing Voldemort it would be very unlikely for the latter. "How do you know all this?" He asked suspiciously, frowning up at the man.

"Just by observation, I can see how he feels about you whenever he's around you and by the way he treats you, not mention the way he talks to you no matter who's around if the situation arises." Fenrir shrugged nonchalantly. Harry not really sharing the man's confidence.

"Well it would be much easier if he just told me that's how he feels, if that's what it truly is, which I have a hard time believing that." Harry said, shaking his head in disbelief.

"He's not used to having someone to care about and is just trying to find himself amongst it all, he's never really had a reason to show how much he truly cares for you until now, trust me that's all it is." Fenrir rasped quietly. Taking Harry in his arms once more. He knew he was right, because he knew where the man was coming from.

He also knows just how insecure his little pup is.

Of course he'd jump straight to the conclusion that it's something wrong with him.

That's just the way his little pup works.

Fenrir doubted that would ever change, his pup had emotional scars.

But Fenrir did hope, that in time his pup would come to realise just how strong he really is.

Harry was enjoying being in his lovers arms in the quiet forest with just the two of them, as he contemplated what Fenrir had said about his father.

On some level he believed what Fenrir was saying, but on another level he couldn't quite get his head around it, it just didn't make sense to him why his father wouldn't just tell him the truth if that's all it really was.

He was upset about the whole thing, and he was even more upset that he had let it get out of hand with Fenrir, his sexy silver haired werewolf was always by his side making sure he was ok, standing by him, protecting him, 'and how do I repay him... by not trusting that he wouldn't judge me or be disgusted with me.'

"We've never argued like that before," Harry suddenly mumbled quietly, "I'm sorry I let it get so out of hand Fenrir, your always there for me, and I should've trusted in you to be this time as well, but I was worried you would think me immature or something if I told you." Harry frowned, shaking his head in disgust at himself, "but that just makes me sound immature anyway."

"Your not immature Harry you just see things differently, and you can always count on me to be here for you, your my pup and my pack, that'll never change." Fenrir soothed, as he hugged him a little tighter.

Harry returned the favour and squeezed his werewolf in reply, knowing he would do no damage to the large man. "Thank you, Fenrir." Harry whispered.

"For what?" Grunted Fenrir puzzled.

Harry gave Fenrir a small smile, "for being you." Harry said simply with no small amount of pride.

"Your very welcome." Chuckled Fenrir, with a shake of his head, "I feel the same about you, Pup." He said huskily, with his wolfish grin.

They stood there in each others arms for a long while just savouring the quiet and not having to worry about school, lessons, vampires, or any other problems. Unspoken agreement to just forget about it all.

"He's right" Hissed Voldemort suddenly and quietly. Making Harry jump.

Enjoying his time with Fenrir so much he didn't even notice Voldemort open his mind back up to him. Although it couldn't have been that long. Missing it as much as he did, he would've noticed if it had been for more than a few seconds, that being the reason he made Harry jump.

"What is it pup?" Fenrir asked with a frown.

"Father." Was all Harry said as he tapped the side of his head.

"Hmm."

"Why didn't you just tell me that then?" Harry hissed back just as quietly.

"Because he's right about all of it, and it's not that easy for me." Voldemort admitted reluctantly.

"Well it would've saved a lot of misunderstanding if you had figured it out earlier." Harry said somewhat angrily, he knew his father understood what he really meant, as he knew he could feel how upset it had made him, and how much he had missed him.

It was hard not to when you were connected to someone on the same level as they were.

Voldemort hissed in annoyance, "I know that now," He replied in frustration. Trying all the while to stay calm. Harry could feel how hard this was for the man.

"I missed you." Harry sighed, as he held onto Fenrir.

Harry sensed the man smile, "It wasn't that long." Voldemort added lightly in an attempt to lighten the mood.

"I know, but it felt so empty." Harry grumbled. He forgave his father easily, as he understood the man was used to having just himself to care about for such a long time.

Harry could feel the man's emotions of guilt pouring into him, and couldn't help the soft smile that touched his lips. At least that confirmed to Harry that his father didn't mean what he had said earlier that day. And more importantly, he didn't mean it when he shut Harry out so coldly.

"I'm sorry!" Voldemort hissed quietly and grudgingly. Harry knew how hard it was for Voldemort to utter those words and was all the more grateful for them.

"I know; so am I, just please in future... be honest with me... That's all I want." Harry asked tentatively.

"I'll try." Voldemort hummed before slipping away from Harry's mind.

'And that's all I can ask for.' Thought Harry with a snort.

Things were looking up, and Harry hoped they never went through that again. Not with his father, or his silver haired werewolf.

"Is everything sorted now?" Fenrir asked calmly as he heard his pup snort with amusement.

Harry smiled up at his wolf, "Yep... Now shouldn't we be getting ready for tonight?" Harry asked playfully, his smile turning to a mischievous smirk as he raised his eyebrows suggestively.

Growling playfully, Fenrir gave Harry's backside a hard squeeze, "I've been looking forward to this for a long time now, I just hope you can handle it my little pup!" He whispered huskily, before showing Harry just how much he was looking forward to it.

"Your not the only one!" Harry moaned quietly, quickly becoming just as turned on when he felt the evidence of Fenrir's needs. He loved that he had that effect on the man. "Let's go." He finished with a seductive wink.
