Hey it's Gold Testament, with my first update for Flames of the Heart in a while. The reasons I haven't been updating lately are because 1. I've been having writer's block, and 2. I've been a bit preoccupied with Naruto Rise of the Ryukage and the Omnigan. That Naruto fic is almost complete, actually I just need to put the finishing touches on its final chapter. Of course I've been procrastinating on that one, but suffering writer's block on this one.
Time for my least favorite part… The Disclaimer.

Invitation to an Adventure
It's been a few days since Simon and Betty left the treehouse to the next stop on their honeymoon. While they were off to spend a week or two in the Breakfast Kingdom to enjoy fine dining, as well as possibly help the princess, Finn and Jake were enjoying a quiet moment in the treehouse.
"Hey Jake, you think Simon can keep Betty under control with her wanting to see all of Ooo with him?" Finn asked.
"Yeah, plus he's got our numbers if he ever needs some help with Betts." The magic dog replied lazily.
With that the two finished breakfast, and as they were finished doing the dishes they suddenly heard knocking. With that Ooo's dynamic duo went to the door revealing Marceline and Flame Princess.
"Hey FP, Marceline, what's up?" Finn asked surprising them and Jake.
"What dude, why are you so chill?" Jake asked.
"Jake, relax they can't do much to try and get me back with FP even after these past couple months." Finn said.
"How so bro?" Jake asked while the girls outside his house looked down.
"There's no longer a foundation for friendship or a relationship. They're probably here to hang to build a friendship." Finn commented.
"Actually we wanted to ask if you wanted to do a dungeon crawl, all four of us?" Marceline asked.
"Ha, we've been through every dungeon in Ooo." Jake commented.
"Not the ones in the Fire Kingdom." FP commented.
"She's got a point Jake, only a fire person can enter them, plus we could never get close even with PB's special suits." Finn said.
"Maybe FP could use Flame Shield on Jake?" Marcy asked.
"Wouldn't work, it's too temporary, even if I say yes, Jake would have to stay behind either doing a hobby, getting groceries and weapons, or spending time with Lady Rainicorn and their kids." Finn replied.
"He's right Marceline, it's a reason Finn and I never did a date in Fire Kingdom." Flame Princess added.
"You actually think I would let my little bro go with you two unsupervised in the Fire Kingdom?" Jake asked.
"Jake relax, this would be a good opportunity to work on a friendship with them at least, plus remember those rumors that Fire Kingdom Dungeons are among the most dangerous alongside the Night O Sphere?" Finn asked.
"Yeah why?" Jake asked.
"Being in a one of the more dangerous dungeons would be like a trial by fire for them to see if I can trust them again." Finn said surprising the other three.
"Wait there are rumors that the Fire Kingdom dungeons are as dangerous as the Night O Sphere's?" Marceline asked shocked.
"Yep, so Marcy think you can watch my back better than your dad?" Finn asked shocking the vampire more.
"Wait you mean you went into the dungeons of the Night O Sphere with my dad, and you didn't invite me?!" Marceline asked shocked.
"You were either wanting to jam solo or hanging with PB from what I'd hear, and I didn't want to disturb you." Finn explained. "As a plus I got to see him when he's not sucking souls or trying to bond with you, and it was kind of awesome." He replied. "Also I never invited Jake due to him having to spend time with Lady Rainicorn." Finn added.
"So basically you're going to see if you can trust Marceline and Flame Princess by going into one of Ooo's most dangerous dungeons?" Jake asked as Finn nodded. "I can't talk you out of this insane plan can I?" The magic dog asked.
"Nope, besides it's been a while since I had a dungeon crawl with Phoebe, or did something incredibly dangerous or possibly stupid with Marceline." Finn replied.
"Wait Phoebe?" Marceline asked.
"My real name." FP said.
"So basically you're accepting the invitation to the Dungeon Crawl in Fire Kingdom with just the three of us?" Marceline asked to make sure.
"Yep, so shall we go or do you two just want to hang here instead of getting a bit of excitement?" Finn asked as he stepped out the door.
And so ends this chapter, next chapter will be the dungeon crawl. Sorry it's so short, but like I said I was having writer's block. I do promise though that the next chapter will indeed be the dungeon crawl. A good chance to see if Marceline and Phoebe the Flame Princess can earn Finn's Friendship before regaining his heart.
