Hi guys, it's been, what a month now? Well, before I get down to business, I have some information, specifically for RWBY and Rooster Teeth fans. Monty Oum, the creator of RWBY, has passed away two days ago at the age of 33. Monty was a huge inspiration for me, I reference his works a lot in my writing, and his passing is really sad for me. Because of that, I am going to dedicate a single chapter of each of my stories to Monty because he gave me inspiration that has led to where I am now. If you have no idea who Monty Oum is, go look him up and watch either RWBY or Dead Fantasy, they are amazing. Anyways, thanks to Guest (I'm sorry but the end is missing from your message. Will I do what?), Guest (Don't worry, Kara won't be too depressed. Kara and Knuckles stood side by side, facing the Master Emerald and a bat calling herself Rouge. The bat had stolen the Master Emerald right under the adopted siblings' noses and they had been forced to track her all the way out to the desert.

"Just let it go." Rouge cried, irritated. "You two just don't know when to give up, do you?"

"What are you talking about? That Emerald's mine!" Knuckles cried.

"Ours." Kara corrected as she stood there with Starlit Night out, prepared to attack if necessary.

"You got that!" Knuckles said, glaring at the thief. "The Master Emerald contains special powers that neutralize the energy of the Chaos Emeralds. That makes it very powerful!"

"What the…" Both cried as none other than Eggman picked the precious jewel up in his Eggmobile.

Whaa…thief!" Rouge cried.

"Look who's calling who a thief!" Knuckles quipped.

"I came here following the signal from the Emerald…If I'm not mistaken, this is the Master Emerald, is it not?" Eggman said.

"It's you…Dr. Eggman!" Knuckles cried.

"Egghead! Let the Master Emerald go!" Kara cried, tightening her grip on Starlit Night, ready to attack the doctor when needed.

"So that's Dr. Eggman." Rouge said.

"Well, I guess I can use it for something, I'll just take it with me." Eggman smirked, "Farewell, knucklehead, icicle!"

"Not if I can help it! Snowflake!" Knuckles cried as he jumped in the air. Kara held her staff horizontally and when Knuckles landed on it, she activated her light as she threw him into the air. The echidna was launched up and punched the Master Emerald, shattering it for the second time.

"Aaaaaaaah!" Rouge cried in despair. The bat grabbed the echidna by the neck and shook him. "What was that all about? And look what you did to MY Emerald!" She cried.

"Hey, let him go!" Kara cried as she pulled her brother out of the bat's grasp.

"I did that to prevent the Master Emerald from being stolen, you idiot!" Knuckles explained once he caught his breath. "If it's in pieces, I can restore it. And by the way, that's not YOUR Emerald!"

"Hmm, doesn't matter. I'll look into it once I get back to the base." Eggman said as he flew away. Rouge walked away from the siblings and said,

"I despise anyone who takes jewels from me! All the world's gems are mine to keep!"

"Yeah, we'll see about that bat girl." Knuckles retorted before he and Kara walked off.

"Hey Big Brother, I'm gonna head off on my own." Kara said.

"I don't think-" Knuckles started but Kara cut him off.

"Come on, I helped Sonic take down Chaos! Just trust me, okay? I'll be fine!" She begged. Knuckles sighed and relented,

"Fine." Kara jumped in happiness and began to walk in another direction before she turned back and called,

"Oh yeah, and if we don't meet up, focus on the Master Emerald thencome find me."

"Snowflake…" Knuckles said in a warning tone.

"Just do it! I can take care of myself!" Kara cried. Once again, Knuckles relented. Grinning, the girl waved goodbye before she vanished in a flash of light. However, a second before she did, Knuckles cried,

"Make sure to play dumb if anyone asks about your Chaos Emerald!" The girl saluted him before she vanished.

Snowflake, I could use your help. Sonic said, using the amnesic girl's telepathy.

Sonic, I'm kinda busy right now. Kara said as she walked. Is it really that important?

I got arrested.

…What did you do?

Nothing! I got framed by a black hedgehog that looks exactly like me! I need your help to bust out of Prison Island.

Can't, I'm hunting own the Master Emerald.

Again?

Yes, again! Now can you please leave me along so I can focus?

Well how am I supposed to bust out of here?!

Ugh! I'll call Tails, now will you please shut up!

Alright, alright. I'll see ya later!

Kara sighed in relief as Sonic cut off his connection to her, she quickly called Tails to alert him of Sonic's need of help and she reached her destination. She entered the Wild Canyon, searching for a Master Emerald shard when she sensed someone, someone familiar but she couldn't place them. A second later, her hands began to spark and crack a light pink. Confused, Kara turned around only to be met with a black and red hedgehog wearing gloves, rings and red, yellow and black shoes.

"Who are you?" She asked.

"I'm Shadow. Shadow the hedgehog and you have a Chaos Emerald." The hedgehog, Shadow, stated. Kara scoffed, playing dumb like Knuckles told her to.

"Yeah right! Even if I did have a Chaos Emerald on me, there's no way I'd give it to you!" She cried.

"Then I guess we're doing this the hard way." Shadow stated. Suddenly, he vanished from sight. Kara quickly stretched out her senses, trying to find the hedgehog, but for some reason, she couldn't sense anything! The next thing she knew, her arms were bound behind her.

"Let me go!" Kara cried. Shadow remained silent, his answer obviously no. Kara took a deep breath and tried to freeze the hedgehog but her hands only sparked. What's wrong with me?! Kara thought, both angry and scared. The next thing she knew was darkness.

Shadow looked down at the unconscious white hedgehog. That had been too easy. He tried to reach in her pocket and take out the dark blue Chaos Emerald only for his hands to be shocked by pink light. Groaning silently, Shadow picked up the girl, took out his Chaos Emerald and cried,

"Chaos Control!" With that, the two vanished and Kara the hedgehog was kidnapped.

Short chapter, I know, but the next one is all about the bonding between Shadow and Kara, which means it'll be longer. I hope you guys enjoyed! Please review to let me know what you think! Later!
