A/N: Hola guys! So great to be back! I'm sorry if this chapter took so long, but my school is stupid. Too many projects. Anyways, on to the story!
Disclaimer: Egads! How did they know that I don't own any characters that appeared in the movie?
Angie P.O.V
I hate my life.
I know I should be more positive and everything, but I just REALLY hate my life. Why did Lash have to be alive? Why did I even have to come to this school? Ugh, it all makes my head hurt.
"Angie!" Boomer called. "You're paired up with Arrington!"
In case if you're wondering, I was currently in Gym. Lucky for me, we weren't doing anything physical today. Instead, every senior was to be paired up with another senior and pick out a Superhero name. I was not aware of this, and I think it sucks.
"So," Lash asked me with a smirk on his face. "What should my name be?"
"Hmmm." I muttered sarcastically. "What about Condom Man?"
Lash's eyes narrowed.
"Why do you say that?" he asked through gritted teeth. "It's not like I can shape-shift into one."
I burst out laughing. Lash looked at me like I was insane.
"Sorry," I stuttered out. "It's just that, it would REALLY suck if that was someone's power!"
Lash tried to keep a straight face, but he failed miserably. He chuckled along and sat down closer to me. I stopped laughing and backed away. He sighed and stretched his arms over. I slapped them away with a scowl on my face.
"If you tickle me," I warned. "I am not responsible for your injuries."
"Oh please." Lash scoffed and rolled his eyes. "Like you could take me on."
I narrowed my eyes and brought a finger up to the bridge of his nose. His eyes followed my finger and grew crossed-eyed trying to keep my hand in his sight. I let out a small shock of purple energy and smirked when he flinched.
"I could totally take you on." I said in a sickly sweet voice. "I've been practicing."
Lash's face twisted into a perverted smirk.
"Practicing what, exactly?" He grabbed my hand and brought me closer. His arm dipped and lifted my face an inch away from his.
"Not what you're thinking." I snapped and pushed him away.
"McLine, Arrington," yelled Coach Boomer, causing us to jump away from each other. "Stop flirting, and get back to work!"
I felt a blush come on full-force as all the students turned to look at us. I huffed quietly and turned to my paper. Lash stretched his neck over my shoulder and scribbled something on it.
"There!" He exclaimed, stretching back to his original position. "That name suits you perfectly!"
"Amethyst." I muttered quietly. That could work. Not wanting Lash to know how perfect the name was, I nodded slightly and gazed back at the floor.
"Well?" Lash poked my nose. "Can you think of a name for me?"
I pondered his question for a few seconds.
"What about Whiplash, or Buoyancy Boy!" I clapped my hands and laughed at the deadpan expression on Lash's face.
"Whiplash could work." He muttered. "But Buoyancy Boy? Really?"
I giggled and lightly patted his hand. We returned to our worksheets in silence for a few moments.
"So," Lash cleared his throat and looked at me. "When can we resume what we started yesterday?"
My previous smile disappeared and a glare took its place. I felt my power beginning to gather in my fingertips and I clenched my fist. The first civil conversation we've had, and his stupid libido had to ruin it.
"I swear to God, Lash." I muttered. "One of these days, I will punch you in the face."
"Aww." He cooed. "I love you too."
I glared at him and we continued working in silence, which was quite rare for Lash. The bell rang and I stood up, completely ready to leave Lash behind me. I was starting to get a headache from his annoying tendencies, and it was slowly becoming impossible to refrain from maiming him. I dropped my pencil and, stupidly forgetting that Lash was there, bent over to pick it up.
"So tempting." Lash chuckled and slapped his hands on my rear.
"EEP!" I squeaked out and jumped away from Lash. The stretchy bastard wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me back to him. I charged up my hands and let loose a blast of purple energy at the Rubber-Band Boy. He was shot clear across the gym, landing on a startled Speed.
"DUDE!" Speed shouted, pushing Lash off of his large frame.
"It's not my fault!" Lash shouted. "It was Angie's doing!"
Both of the school's "bad boys" turned to glare at me. I smiled sheepishly and sprinted out of the gym. I expected Speed to catch me soon, seeing as how he had super speed, but I was surprised when a limp wrapped around my waist. Again.
"You're not going anywhere, McLine." Lash whispered in my ear. "Not until I get my revenge."
I stopped struggling once he mentioned his revenge.
"Wait." I turned to look at him. "What about earlier? Wasn't that your revenge?"
"You mean that kiss?" Lash asked, his brows furrowing in confusion. "That wasn't my revenge. That was a kiss."
"Oh." I muttered. "Then please let me go. Revenge does not sound fun."
"But it IS fun!" Lash exclaimed, tightening his grip on me. "At least, for me."
I began struggling again, feeling energy gather around myself. I released it, and felt myself drop to the floor. I glanced up and gasped when I realized that I was encased in a purple orb. I lightly touched the edge of it and pressed as hard as I could. The strange material felt like glass, but was incredibly resilient.
"What the fuck is this?" Lash growled. He punched his fist against the orb and yelled in pain.
I winced when I heard a crunch. Lash just cracked his knuckles on the force field that I somehow created. I slowly began to feel my energy drain and I released the power I was using. The force field flickered and faded out of existence.
"Whoa." I breathed out, completely forgetting the pissed of teenaged villain in front of me. I couldn't believe my power was growing this fast. It was just a few months ago I discovered I was different, and now my powers were progressing father than I thought possible.
"Heh," Lash chuckled behind me, wrapping his arms around my waist, "If you think that little stunt will prevent my revenge from happening, you've got another thing coming."
"Just let me go, Lash." I growled out. "I'm not in the mood to bother with you, you ass."
"Oho!" Lash exclaimed gleefully. "Little McLine knows a curse word! I'm so proud!"
He loosened his hold on me to wipe away an imaginary tear. Using this to my advantage, I slammed the heel of my Converse on his foot with all the strength I could muster. Lash let out a grunt of pain and released my waist. I sprinted away from the bully for the second time that day, and wove into the throng of students heading outside to go home.
"MCLINE!" Lash bellowed from behind me. I took this as a sign to run faster. Weaving through people, I got a couple weirded out looks and a few fingers.
"Almost there!" I whispered to myself. "Just a few more steps!"
I was just reaching the doorknob when my surroundings disappeared and an evil chuckle resounded in my head.
Finally, the voice boomed. Angie, you and your powers are mine.
"What?" I whispered as my world turned black.
Adam P.O.V
"DUDE!" Jeremy yelled. "Where is Angie? We've been waiting here for like, ever!"
"Calm down, Blondie." Rose snapped. "We've only been here for about five minutes. Keep your balls on."
"If you have any, that is." I muttered under my breath.
Jeremy heard my thoughts and turned to face me with a glare.
"Are you questioning my sperm count?" he asked. "I'm pretty sure it's up to par."
"Calm down you testosterone-fueled buffoons." Rose silenced us with a glare. She had been acting quite short with everyone since her Elemental Powers class. My bet was that it has something to do with Alejandro.
"Fine. Sheesh." Jeremy rolled his eyes and turned away from me. He turned back to the crowd of students and closed his eyes. After a few moments, he opened his eyes and looked at us with a panicked expression.
"What's wrong, Jeremy?" Rose asked, her glare softening. When Jeremy whipped around and grabbed her shoulders, her glare returned full-force.
"It's Angie!" he shouted, shaking her shoulders. "I was tuning in on her thoughts, when they just disappeared! POOF! NO MORE ANGIE!"
"CALM DOWN!" Rose shouted and slapped Jeremy across the face. "I'm sure there is a perfectly reasonable explanation for this."
Jeremy opened his mouth to offer a reason, but Rose slapped a hand over it.
"Nothing to do with aliens or dinosaurs." She warned him with a stern look.
Jeremy closed his mouth with a dejected look in his eyes. He released Rose and turned to me.
"Any ideas?" He asked, his worried expression never fading.
"Well," I placed a hand on my chin, running over possible scenarios in my mind. "Maybe she met a student who can block telepathic powers."
"There's a possibility." Rose muttered. "But unlikely, seeing as how we would have known of a student like that, AND the fact that she has yet to emerge from the building, I don't think that happened."
"Well!" Jeremy exclaimed, "What are we waiting for? One of our best friends is missing and we're sitting here like idiots! Come on guys! LET'S GO!"
He charged into the building, pushing random students out of his way and screaming, "FOR SPARTA!"
"Why are we friends with him?" Rose asked as we trekked up the stairs.
"Because," I answered simply. "We needed some kind of comedic relief in our high school lives."
"True." Rose replied. "Although I think we could have found a smarter one, don't you?"
"Yeah," I answered. "But where are we going to find another person who has telepathy AND telekinesis?"
Rose shrugged and didn't answer. Instead she froze in her tracks, coming face to face with Alejandro and Tabitha. Her previously blank face formed a scary sneer and her arms began to spark.
"Alejandro." She said in a deadly calm voice. "I have a bone to pick with you."
Alejandro turned to her with an unimpressed look on his face. Tabitha sneered back at Rose.
"Must we go over this again, Hex?" Alejandro drawled. "Let it go."
"No!" Rose yelled, getting into a fighting stance. "You burned my Mad Science project, and it took me two days to make! You will PAY!"
With that last word, she shot a bolt of lightning at Alejandro. He put up his hands to protect his face, bracing himself for impact. Instead of the lightning hitting him, a striped limb stretched out and absorbed the electric blow.
"What the fuck was that for, Lash?" Rose snapped at said villain.
"Have any of you guys seen Angie?" Lash asked, ignoring the fuming electric girl. "I've been chas-er, I mean, looking for her, but she just vanished!"
"Really?" I asked. "Jeremy mentioned something about how her mental waves disappeared, but we thought he was just joking. You know how Jeremy is."
"No!" Lash exclaimed, looking way more flustered than usual. "I saw her reach the door, but then some guy touched her, and they vanished!"
"WHAT?" I yelled, feeling my dragon instincts rising. "What fucker would dare take Angie?"
I cracked my knuckles and noted that Lash and Alejandro stepped away from me. With a growl, I looked around the building, trying to find any hint of purple that would reveal Angie, or the dick who took her.
"Calm down, Dragon Boy." Lash said. "If we think rationally about this, maybe we can find out where she went."
Before Lash finished his sentence, Rose headed inside the building, looking for the student who took our friend.
"Well," I sighed. "Might as well start looking."
Angie P.O.V
My vision swam as I began to regain consciousness. My body felt like I had been drained of all energy.
"Ugh." I muttered, sitting up in the pristine white room I was in, "What happened, and where am I?"
My voice echoed in the white room. I stood up and looked around. There was a small bed, which I was currently resting on, and a plain white door.
"It's like a metal asylum here." I said to myself. I guess the fact that I was in a strange place hasn't sunk in yet. I was still in shock.
I placed my back against the wall, trying to remember who snagged me. The voice that I heard, it wasn't Jeremy. I don't even recognize it. Maybe another student?
My pondering was cut short when the white door opened to reveal Phillip and Luke.
"Ah," Phillip smiled. "You're awake! So wonderful to have you join us, Angie!"
"Phillip?" I gazed at the twins. "Luke? What are you guys doing here? What am I doing here? What is here?"
"So many questions, and she hasn't even been awake for ten minutes." Luke muttered, silencing me with a glare. "Shouldn't we take her to Alfred?"
"Who's Alfred?" I asked, ignoring Luke's glare and turning to Phillip.
"The person who is responsible for you being here." Phillip answered, walking over to the bed I was on. "Now, get up! We must be on our way. We are on a very tight schedule, and we have no time to dilly-dally."
"Fine." I muttered. "Sheesh."
Just as I stood up, Phillip's words sunk in.
"Wait," I turned to the twins with a hard glare on my face. "Is he the dick who brought me here?"
Luke's eyebrows rose at my harsh words and tone, but Phillip answered my question. His green eyes flashed in amusement, while Luke's flashed in annoyance.
"I am the 'dick' that brought you here, Angie." He replied, not showing any fear at my anger. "All of your questions will be answered once we get a move on!"
Luke grabbed my arm and dragged me out the door. Phillip closed it and led the way down a plain white hallway.
"Let me go!" I snarled, struggling against Luke's grasp. "I said let me go, damn it!"
Luke only growled in annoyance and draped me over his shoulder. I gasped at the sudden movement, but remained still during the rest of the trip down the impossibly long hallway. I soon grew bored of the silence, and decided to sing a song.
"I know the song that gets on everybody's nerves, everybody's nerves, everybody's nerves." I sang quietly, although it still echoed. "I know the song that gets on everybody's nerves, and this is how it goes."
I repeated that same line over and over again, and I begin to hear Luke growling in annoyance once again. I loved that song.
"If you were smart," Luke muttered. "Which you are clearly not, you would stop that infernal singing."
I grew angry at his words and began to charge up energy to my hands. Being inattentive, both Luke and Phillip ignored my new found silence. Once I had gathered enough energy, I blasted Luke in the back and flipped off his shoulder.
"Oof!" Luke landed on top of Phillip, knocking them both over.
I jumped over them and sprinted down the rest of the hallway, sending blasts of energy back at them. After a few moments, I finally reached the end of the hallway, but it was a dead end.
"Angie, Angie, Angie." Phillip mocked from right behind me. "You should know better than to run from a person who can teleport."
"And you should know better than to chase after an energy controller." I retorted as I shot another bolt of energy at the wall.
To my surprise, it fell back revealing a high tech room. Multiple screens filled the walls, showing different people and places. One monitor, the largest, showed my room back at home. I froze in my tracks as I saw another monitor that showed the school and the detention room. In fact, every place I've ever been to was on a monitor somewhere.
"What the hell is this place?" I whispered, feeling the fear from before hit me full-force.
"This is the Superpower Headquarters." Phillip answered, grabbing my arm while Luke grabbed the other. "And it's where you'll be staying for quite a while."
I allowed them to lead me out of the room and down more hallways. Luke clasped a wristband unto my arm, explaining that it should "keep my annoying energy blasts to a minimum". Phillip typed a code into a small panel in front of another door, and led us inside.
"Welcome, Angie!" said a voice in the darkness. "I've been expecting you."
A/N: Whew! Finally, I update. I know it's been a while, but I have been so busy! Anyways, Happy Holidays and Happy New to whomever is reading this, and REVIEWS ARE WELCOME!
