Chapter 10: An Eye For An Eye

Both of the girls turned around to face the fountain, standing there was Paul, the same one from the principal's office, the one who floored Alex like it was child's play, Paul was also a member of E-squad

Blaze stood forward and asked "What are you doing here Paul?"

"Oh, I just came over to check on my little spitfire, and here I find you getting all friendly with the traitorous bitch who left us for that rag tag group of outcasts, now what are we gonna do about this huh". Paul approached them, walking slowly, raising his arm he grabbed Lexis hair and pulled her head closer to his, leaning in he whispered to her "The head boy wants you dead, but he didn't say how, so im gonna kill you, as slowly, and painfully, as possible".

"Let her go Paul"

"Why do you care, she left us, you know what the consequences for treason are Blaze, you know just as well as I do".

"Let, Her, GO!", Flames erupted from her hand as her rage built, Blaze looked down at the ground and a crooked grin broke out across her face, "Meta skill, Inferno", the flames now burning stronger she looked up and let loose a barrage of blasts towards Paul

"Meta Skill, Quake" just like the fight with Lexi a wall of stone shot up from the ground protecting them from the blasts, "ah,ah,ah" Sneered Paul as the wall fell back down into the ground, "Careful now next time I block with little Lexi here.

"No you wont" said Lexi "Meta skill, Blizzard", suddenly a flurry of snow and ice shot up at Pauls face. He released his grip on Lexi as he was knocked back.

"Hold up ass hole"

Paul turned to see Sam and Alex with their guns pointed at him

Alex turned to face Lexi and Blaze, "You ok?"

Lexi nodded "yea were fine"

"That's what you think" laughed Paul "Now!"

BANG!

Lexi fell to the ground a small pool of blood started to form around her

"LEXI!" Blaze screamed and charged Paul

Both Sam and Alex Started to fire in the direction of the gunshot.

"You bastard, im gonna kill you!" Blaze shouted as she franticly sprinted towards Paul, She jumped "Meta skill, Inferno"

"Quake" just as the flames erupted from Blazes hands another shield wall shot up between her and Paul, the flames bounced off.

"Your gonna regret attacking me Blaze you traitor" Paul punched the wall and it shattered right in front of Blaze, the blast scattered large pieces of rock in all directions.

"Aghhh, You bastard" Blaze screamed holding one hand over her right eye, blood streaming down from between her fingers.

"Meta Skill, Blizzard"

Paul turned to see Lexi on her feet but he didnt have time to dodge the attack, he took the full brunt of the freezing blast, landing on his back on the ground Blaze pulled a pistol from her belt and stood over him

"Give me one reason why I shouldn't blow your brains out right now?" she still had her hand over her eye, the blood was still streaming out and down her cheek.

"You don't have the guts bitch" Paul spat up at her

"Ow yea" she replied

"Blaze! Don't do it"

Everyone turned to see Mason approaching them from across the yard

"Why the fuck not, the guy just blinded me in my right eye, he threatened to kill both me and Lexi, the bastards got it comin"

"I know he does, but you're not gonna be the one to do it", Mason walked up to them bent down and pulled his pistol out, holding it up in front of Paul's eye, "Now, your gonna tell me what I want to know, and then I'll think about letting you leave with your head in one piece, am I making myself clear?"

"Fuck you" laughed Paul

"Wrong answer" replied Mason "Quickly moving the pistol to Paul's upper leg he fired, BANG!

"Arrgg, you fucker"

"Last chance this time its your skull" , nodded Mason returning the smoking barrel of the gun to Paul's face, slowly lowering the barrel towards his eye

"Ill never talk" cried Paul turning his head he stared mason directly in the eyes

"So wha"

BANG!

The sound of the gun shot echoed throughout the courtyard, standing up Mason turned towards the group and said "He was warned", next he turned to face Lexi, "You can thank Mary for that, the sniper would have killed you if it wasn't for her". The bullet had just grazed her side, there was a small gash but nothing too serious, finally Mason turned to Blaze, "So, are you coming with us? I'm not going to force you, but I can get that eye looked at for you"

Blaze looked down at the lifeless body on the ground and thought for a moment

"Please, Please Olivia, come with us"

Blaze turned to face Lexi with a smile on her face, "Fine, but one thing, don't call me that, you know I hate that name", Blaze walked towards Lexi and hugged her, "Im sorry Lexi, I was being stupid, so fucking stupid", letting her go Blaze turned back to Mason, Ok, I'll come with you".

"Good, come with me I'll take you to see someone who can help"

Blaze looked down at Paul one last time before pulling her prefects band off and letting it blow in the wind before she turned and followed the group out of the square.

Mason Blaze Lexi and Alex crossed the campus to the girl's dorms where standing outside were two girls, the ones from the meeting in the principal's office, Mason approached the smaller of the two, the one who seemed to be of Asian descent and quietly talked to her before they both came walking back up to Blaze.

"Hi there, said the small girl, "My name is Hatsune Otonashi, I do most of the medical work for masons group here, please follow me".

The group followed them as far as the lobby of the girl's dorms before the taller girl who was standing with Hatsune said "sorry we can't let you into the room while she works".

"Don't worry Lexi", said Blaze "Im gonna be ok" as she walked into the room.

Hatsune turned to the taller girl and said "Kaia could you bandage up Lexi for me please, I might be a while with this one".

"Yea sure" Kaia replied as she walked Lexi over to another room closing the door behind her, leaving just Mason and Alex in the lobby alone.

After about 15 minutes Lexi and Kaia returned to the lobby, Lexi sat down on the sofa with Alex whilst Kaia sat in the second arm chair, mason was sitting in the first reading through a book with a solid black cover. The group sat chatting for about another hour before Hatsune re-joined them in the lobby. She walked up to Lexi and said "She's gonna be fine, however, I did have to remove the eye, it took too much damage in the fight to be recovered, she knew this before going into the surgery, I just wanted to inform you, obviously she had to be unconscious for it so she's gonna be out for a while but you can go in and see her now if you want".

"Thank you" replied Lexi, she and Alex then went into the room to see her.

After about 2 hours Blaze came around again

"Hey sis how are you feeling"

"Like shit" she replied "but hey" she laughed "did you seriously expect any other answer"

Smiling Lexi replied "I guess not"
