Ben raised a brow at the two heroes standing before him and sighed, "Okay, I know Batman is paranoid, and so are Mom and Dad...but did they have to ask you to follow me around ALL day?"

"Trust me kid, I don't like this as much as you do," Green Arrow said irritably but then soften as a blond woman in black beside him approached Ben and smiled.

"Don't worry little birdie, just pretend that we're not here," She said kindly.

"Kind of hard to do so, Black Canary," Ben murmured as he twitched, "Especially if this guy was following me to the bathroom,"

"What do you mean 'this guy'?! I'm no pervert," He exclaimed, making the heroes passing by them look at him strangely and Black Canary facepalming.

"You said it, not me," Ben grinned, and dodged a knuckle-sandwich to his head.

Black Canary came in between then with a stern frown, "Green, knock it off. Ben, please, I know you as a teenager don't like being followed like this, but this is for your own protection,"

Ben's eyes soften and sighed as he nodded, and reluctantly turned to the men's bathroom and shuddered, walking in as Green Arrow followed, also in dreading.

Black Canary rolled her eyes as she watched the boys and then smiled weakly.

It's only been a day since the League was informed that Ben was being targetted by the Plumbers, and how Batman discovered the tracker on Ben. So it was decided by everyone that at least two Leaguers would watch Ben twenty four seven. And this sort of ticked the younger Thannagarian halfa off. None the less, Ben was calmed down by J'honn and Robin about it so he sucked it up. But the first ones that had the shift is Green Arrow and Black Canary...actually Question was supposed to be in the archer's place but of course, Green Arrow asked (coughsbeggedcoughs) to take the shift first.

Black Canary then was alarmed when suddenly Green Arrow went flying out of the bathroom and hit the wall after a bright green giant hand slammed him to it. Looking back at the bathroom, Ben was standing there with his left eye twitching and looking mad...madder than Shayera would be.

"W-what happened?!" The blond asked as she looked at the sixteen year old.

"This guy was looking at m-my...my..." He then was making a bright green fist with his ring and soon was pounding Green Arrow to the ground angrily as Black Canary winced each time.

'Yeesh, he has Hawkgirl's temper, alright...'

"I WAS NOT LOOKING AT YOUR YOU KNOW WHAT YOU PUNK!" Green Arrow moved out of the way of the next pounding and then was gritting his teeth, "You made a sound and I had to turn thinking you hurt yourself or something,"

"Liar!"

"Brat!"

"Pervert!"

"Enough!" Black Canary was controlling her voice for a moment as she glared at them, "Don't make me scream,"

Green Arrow paled for a moment as Ben huffed and crossed his arms.

"Look, boys, we have only two more hours together and you can go on your merry way from each other afterwards. Until then, can we please agree to get along for the sake of everyone in the Tower and the Tower itself," She then gestured Ben's destruction to prove her point.

The two males sighed and nodded their head like children being scolded by their mother, which made the woman smile.

Ben was then tilting his head as he was staring at the blank face man...literally! Like, Ben saw that there was practically no features on the man's face. At all. Which creeped Ben out a bit but made him...haha, ohhhh he got it. He smiled even more as Question then spoke up from reading his paper.

"There something you'd like to inquire, little Hawk?"

The brunet then peeked from the man's side, "How can you read? You have no eyes," He asked innocently as he pouted.

"Magic," Question drawled, as Ben then folded his arms and huffed.

"You don't believe in magic," He pointed out.

"How can you tell?"

"Because you tend to give out scientific facts and logical things a lot,"

"You are correct. But doesn't mean that magic is a possibility in one's theory," Question replied in return as Ben blinked.

"...Green Arrow says I shouldn't listen to you because you make up stories and conspiracies,"

"Not conspiracies. Conspiracy. Singular." The Question looked up from his reading and then tilted his head, "Green Arrow is also in my line of my theory as well. I have a suspicion on him..."

"Haha, I like you," Ben laughed as he then was looking around the room he was in, seeing the boards, papers and ribbons connecting them.

Question was...the sort of guy Ben should be wary of, but wasn't. It was the fact that when the hour that Green Arrow had to drop Ben off to him (since Black Canary was called for an urgent business) and Supergirl tagged along and saying something about 'Cadmus', Question was saying something about 'going through EVERYONE's trash' and it made Ben giggle a little. The mystery faceless man was amusing to him, and the fact that Question didn't treat Ben as if he were fragile like some china doll was even better. It made him feel more normal that he did in the past weeks.

"These are a lot of stuff you've placed up...HEY! Mr. Smoothie being responsible of the increase of rare illnesses ordered by the government?!" Ben pointed out with disbelief.

"The ingredients does not add up. You should cut back and question of the milk that they use in their drinks," Question then turned his computer chair he was sitting on and typing into his computer.

"Nooooo..." Ben whined as he then was falling onto the man's lap and then was crying, "Not Mr. Smoothies!"

"Get off me, little Hawk," He pushed Ben off of him and then continued typing on the computer again.

"Hey, no need to be so mean," Ben pouted once more and then stood straight and then looked at the screen once more then tilted his head, "So what conspiracy theory are you working on today?"

"..."

Ben faltered as he frowned at the man ignoring him and sighed, turning away and folding his arms. 'Man, he can be fun at times, but when he gets into his conspiracy theories, he's as boring as Speedy is with his dumb hair!'

Hearing a sigh, Ben turned back as he then saw Question had stopped typing into his computer and was facing him.

"I'm going to be going through some of the League's trashcans...want to join me?"

Ben was smiling as he then was nodding his head and following Question out the door.

Perhaps they're gonna find some treasure. Or potential blackmail.

The next shift was handed to surprisingly Batman, and Ben felt himself nervous. Apparently Question had Ben overtime and the two made a slight mistake into going through Wonderwoman's trashcan and Batman caught them. But before Ben could explain, Question had suddenly vanished, leaving Ben with the glaring Dark Knight. So currently, Ben was stuck sitting next to Batman at the control unit, watching the monitors of every camera in the Watchtower.

"This...is so boring," Ben murmured as he leaned back on his chair tiredly.

"No one said this would be fun," The Batman said back with a murmur as he never looked away from the screen.

Somehow, Ben felt sorry for Robin now, having a strict yet very much dull hero and adoptive father. And possibly Batgirl, but she seems to enjoy her time being close to her mentor. Ben then was closing his eyes for a moment then perked up as he heard the door swing open. He then looked up to see Superman coming in floating and smiled, relieved to see a not brooding face.

"Evening, Ben. Having fun?" The Man of Steel teased as Ben was pouting.

"Supes, save me, I'm dying of boredom!" Ben threw his arms up as Batman turned to look at them.

The boy scout hero chuckled in amusement, "I didn't think Batman was killing you that much in boredom,"

"Well he is," The brunet whined as he then was pouting, "Tell me it's your turn to take over the shift. O-Or can I go to my room now?"

"Well, actually, the last one for the shift is gonna be Wonderwoman," Superman said but blinked as Ben paled and Batman smirked, "...I'm not even going to ask,"

Ben then got up and waved his hand, "E-erm, could I please go to the bathroom first before we meet up with her,"

"I don't see why not," Superman shrugged as he then let Ben go off by himself.

Ben then was jogging to go to the male's bathroom when he felt a hand grabbing his wrist and pulled him into the side in the shadows. The brunet blinked as his mouth was covered and then green eyes widened as he saw a serious faced Rook.

"Ben Tennyson, please, hear me out," Rook spoke softly as he then was looking to check if anyone was around, "Once I release my hand from your mouth, please keep silent and let me speak. I mean you no harm. Plumber's honor..." He saw Ben's blank stare then sighed, "Very well, then on my home planet, Revonnah's, honor,"

Ben then sighed under the alien's hand and nodded, and Rook let go, "Okay...I'm calm. How did you even GET up here? Batman destroyed the tracker you placed on me before,"

"It was pretty simple. I still locked into your co-ordinates before it vanished and it lead me to here. Plus, apparently I can hack into your Zeta teleporters and get myself up here. Very strange no?" Rook smiled but then coughed as he then was breathing, "Alright, I wanted to question you before I would send you in back to Magister Tennyson..."

Ben raised a brow then sighed, "What question?"

"I want to know about your wings," Rook pointed behind Ben's back and then was then narrowing his eyes, "And you said that Magister Tennyson was...hiding something from me,"

Well, this guy knew how to get to the point. And Ben couldn't blame him for that.

Rook, on the other hand, felt his head gearing into many thoughts he's had since he took on this mission, and he was curious of the Ben Tennyson anyways.

The Thannagarian teen then huffed but didn't comment for a moment until he then said, "It's a long story. But to shorten it, I'm not a Tennyson. I was adopted into the family since I was stolen away by bad aliens when I was a baby and my real parents are here in the Watchtower,"

Rook blinked but then frowned, "That's impossible...T-there's no-"

"Trust me, I had a hard time swallowing the truth too," Ben told Rook and then was leaning back against the wall, "But it's up to you to believe it or not. But if you're gonna try and force me to go back to Grandpa Max...then I'm not going down without a fight,"

They stared at each other for a moment but then were interrupted when the alarms sounded off. Ben then was shifting away and saw Supergirl flying past him and hollered out to ask what was going on.

"There's been a security breach...Gwen 10 and Kevin Levin are here!"

Dun dun duuuuuun! Gwen and Kevin are here, *gasp* oh my how the drama is unfolding. Will there be an epic fight about to unfold. Will we see Gwen 10 in action? Will Ben choose sides? Who knows? Find out in the next segment of Hawk Lanter. Please keep reviewing, it makes me so happy :D Thanks for reading and see you next time~
